Just over 400 xspec is a little low for stake rewards. you didn't mention is your wallet running 24/7 and if your connection is steady and reliable. That's very important in staking PoS coins.
As far as being accepted....that is just bad luck. It's the equivalent of mining a stale block on a PoW blockchain. Another wallet earned the reward before you did.

Please Cryptopia.....get things back to your usual fast deposits and withdrawals. The exchange business is competitive and hard earned gains can be lost in a blink. - a long time customer

Well, this is a thread about SpectreCoin [xspec] and not what else you may have high hopes for. In the past here, we have had to endure some negative things from users that thought they had found "the next great thing" in a free airdrop coin and a few other projects. We would appreciate leaving that at the door. Nothing more nothing less......so yes there are some hard feelings around here.
Mainly though....its crypto guys....you pay your money and you take your chances. Do what is best for each of you. You may feel you have the best mix of coins out of the over 1500 out there....Great! NOWHERE are you guaranteed anything though....nowhere.

Main difference in SpectreCoin and onion is .... there's a train wreck in onion's future when the dev dumps. SpectreCoin actually has privacy AND a future.
|
|
|
I am totally puzzled why some of you would rather use a kyc exchange for a privacy coin that would first....cause a spike in value.....and second expose you and your info. so if you're looking for a quick buy and dump for a big profit.....best move on.
SpectreCoin has been growing just fine without resorting to exchanges that demand a kings ransom for a listing. I can tell you....that isn't going to happen.....and doesn't need to happen.

Deposits & Withdraw in cryptopia open now. You need to check again, although the orange band is gone from the balances page....the "market" is still paused.
|
|
|
....I get the incentive part, and it is normal to work this way, but the way it is described is misleading. When you say 5% interest for staking, I think about 5%, not 10%-20%.
Just think of the "extra" if/when they happen...as an "airdrop" Can we move on from this staking business?
|
|
|
Is this true? Is this how the POS interest works?
https://www.investopedia.com/terms/p/proof-stake-pos.aspSounds like you need to learn more about crypto currencies ...Google is your friend....For PoW coins...the miners provide the network. Fewer miners means slower network and slow transactions. Their reward is a share of a block or perhaps the whole block. The folks holding and staking are providing the network and assuring steady, fast transaction times. Their reward is their stake. People DO have a choice you know, to stake or not stake. But, somebody has to do something or there's no network.

@snowboard - you really should find someway to get your wallet to a machine that would keep it up 24/7. shutting down your client for 4~5 hours a day will hurt your staking
I stake with my laptop....set up to never "sleep"....and other than closing the wallet to move between home and work for anywhere from 15~30 minutes it stakes pretty consistently. current network weight is just over 6.4 million xspec....so you should consider that as well.

@snowboard - Only the devs are "paid" as such, now being funded by the user controlled donations via the latest wallet update. Gandalf86, Rkh and many others including myself...donate our talents and time to grow the community and hopefully move SpectreCoin [xspec] along to take its rightful place as the "Premier Privacy Focused Cryptocurrency". We appreciate you being a member of the SpectreCoin community.

Do any one use the Mac wallet? I can't open the v.1.3.5 wallet on Mac. The wallet crashed when opening. Does anyone have the similar case?
I'm not a Mac user but are you running the latest version of that v1.3.5? It came out yesterday..... from the Slack announcments page at 1:07 pm est "After a short delay due to a Qt packaging issue, a working v1.3.5 Mac binary is now available at https://github.com/spectrecoin/spectre/releases/tag/v1.3.5" otherwise join us in Slack...link in my sig

This project needs marketing very much. More people should know about Xspec.
Which is exactly why you should tell folks that are in the circles you run in. Word of mouth is how SpectreCoin [xspec] has grown as it has. please without "shilling" but letting them know about its tech and its future.

|

Well, its certainly more private.

While you're saving the world with "scam" accusations......you may want to go after some really bigger game...
>Bitconnect, a literal Ponzi scheme $2.5 Billion
>Tron, literally a scamcoin selling the idea of "Web 4.0" to normies on Twitter went to $17 billion
>Cardano, ballooned to $20 billion on just a whitepaper
>Qtum, still no product yet, $4 billion
>Dentacoin, literal Bulgarian Pajeetcoin for dentists, $2 billion
>Bitcoin Gold, pointless fork of Bitcoin, $4.5 billion
>Verge, a "privacy" coin that leaks its users' IP, literally a dogecoin hardfork that's still valued at more than a $1 billion
>Eos, $6 billion, no working product
So these total around $57 billion dollars....go gettum!
