I am sure that the whole Bitcoin community would never give a nod to transform BTC from PoW to PoS as this is one of the strongest feature of Bitcoin we think should not be tinkered with. With the ongoing congestion and the resulting high fees happening again, developers should be looking for ways to somehow solve the ongoing problem and should have a roadmap for long-term solutions.

One of the biggest lesson I learned and experienced in the year 2023 is the virtue of waiting. People who do not have the skills and the inclination to do trading should just do the holding with the best cryptocurrencies that we have. We should understand that waiting is not an easy thing to do most especially if one is not financially well-off...as there is always that pressure to cash-out. I am sure that in 2024 those who failed to wait will be shaking their heads in disbelief when looking at the prices of coins and tokens in CMC or Coingecko.

I asked the same concern years ago when I lost my 2 BTC to ponzi type of schemes and I realized that in investing money there is always that need to educate oneself...and unless you learned the ins and outs of the business there is always that inclination to lose money. Now, am not saying that all will experience the same thing as there are now people who first learned the basics before diving in and they never allow their emotions especially that appeal to greed to come and envelope their decision making process.

Well, there is nothing to worry about as I am now broke got no more money that I can use to buy Bitcoin. We are talking here of an organization with a lot of resources...this is a big whale...so there is no use to also use the strategy Microstrategy is using though of course if one has the money then it would be good to buy more and more as BTC is poised to achieve - in most probability - a new ATH in 2024...and there is a big chance the price can even go beyond $100K. Now this is just speculation, for sure do not trust me or anyone else.

The holiday season is usually the time when the crypto market can be doing some decrease in activities and also the time when a good number of people may turn their crypto holdings into cash...hence Bitcoin is inclined to be bearish though we still have to see the final number for 2023 since there are still remaining days of the year but what I understand is that this year Bitcoin is actually not doing so bad and it is due to the excitement coming from the offing ETF approval and the halving in 2024.

Yes, indeed, Bitcoin faucets are things of the past as finding one can just be a futile exercise. I am sure you remember those early years of Bitcoin when it would so easy to get as many BTC as you can just using effort and time...well not anymore as the value of the coin has already skyrocketed and people realizing how valuable it can be into the future. Bitcoin is now worth a lot, lot more than real gold hence we can see its price going up, up and away...am sure that 2024 will even be better.

I am surprised with the kind of statement this man made in front of legislators. I assumed that he has already made a turnaround with Bitcoin and has already accepted the fact that Bitcoin is inevitable. Anyway, good to know that he is not of the government...as I could not imagine if he is the one leading the SEC these days as he can even be bitter than Gary Gensler. For all we know, one day Jamie Dimon will admit that he has hoarded Bitcoin himself.

As of now, there is still no big interest from many countries to adopt Bitcoin as a reserve currency just like what they are doing with the dollar or even gold. Now, is there something that can hasten for countries to include Bitcoin on their portfolio? I am not so sure but if the US Dollar can collapse there is that big possibility for a good number of countries to focus their attention on Bitcoin...though this is just my speculation.

A happy irony (at least to us who are Bitcoin believers) has come to the idea that Bitcoin is dead...because that idea or suggestion is dying and I am sure in 2024 it can be gone for good as the market is now accepting the fact that Bitcoin (just like the physical gold) is here to stay and there is already nothing that can stop its rise in the global marketplace. Let that be cemented next year, once and for all. We won and they are defeated! I am hoping that Elizabeth Warren and her minions is listening to this message.

I am sure that once we can see Bitcoin's dollar equivalent can go beyond the previous ATH, there is always that temptation for holders to cash out and enjoy the fruits of the waiting game they pursued. Of course, there will be others who might think that there can be more growth for BTC - maybe even one day reaching more than a million dollar in price - so they continually hold on to their portfolio.

I agree that this is really a valid point and since I believe that ETF approval is already coming it would be interesting to see how things will play out in the years to come. I am also wondering if by the time when mining rewards will end if there would be a big scarce of miners to participate in the network...anyway all of these things can still be classified as speculations but I am hoping that ETF will be a good thing for BTC and not the other way around.

I am sure that so many members of this forum are wondering the same thing as to Craig Wright...who for me is always Wrong...on why he is still insisting to be the real Satoshi Nakamoto when in fact he could not present any credible evidence to make his assertions stand in the court and in people's mind. Now, I think, the answer is that there is something with this man mentally...maybe he is constructing a world of his own and he wants us to also be a part of that make-believe world he is building. Though since am not a doctor, this is just my own very humble opinion.

I have read the same thing somewhere but looking through that image something sprouted in my mind that it must not be so real...up to now a keen eye can still see some red flags easily for AI-generated images. Anyway, it is a good troll...and we should take it as one for good laughs. These days even the mainstream media can easily be victimized by made-up news...much more ordinary guys like you and me who got the desire to read and consume news that we actually wanted to happen, in the first place.

I think that this remains to be a big problem with the Bitcoin network much more so if there will be a high volume of transactions leading to congestion...this is always the biggest challenge for Bitcoin especially when compared to other platforms used in business like Visa or Mastercard. I am hoping that soon something can really be done with this hindrance and that we can all buy a cup of coffee using our BTC fast and efficiently. Now having said that, I don't agree that this problem is connected to the concern or question whether Bitcoin is decentralized or not.
