1  Local / India / Re: which bank allows IMPS without restrictions or fewer restrictions on: October 10, 2016, 04:33:32 PM
hi,
since no one on localbitcoins accept NEFT what are the options we have to send instant payments.
i have used hdfc, icici and yes bank.
hdfc at the moment is no go for imps.
yes bank has 50000 restriction/day and their sms delivery for otp is very unreliable.
icici has 2 lakh/day limit. 30 mins wait after adding payee. but no wait id using mobile banking. also their server goes down twice a month and occasional problems accepting payments from sbi.
i am looking for better alternatives and ready to open 3-4 current accounts in different banks with less IMPS restrictions.
- bank must have no wait time after adding payee to send payment
- unlimited payee adding option per day (icici limit is 7)
- no imps fee (yes bank is free, icici charges small fee)
any help will be greatly appreciated.
thanks.

Go for axis, use their mobile banking app, (net banking has restrictions), instant beneficiary addition, no limits for adding, atleast i havent faced any, and 10 lac daily limit. upto 1 lac, imps charge around 5.6 rupees per transaction and 1-2 lac some 15 rupees and taxes per transaction
2  Local / India / Re: Which bank is best for imps? Please share additional details. on: October 10, 2016, 04:30:05 PM
I use ICICI personal to trade on localbitcoins but it has a limit of 5 payees per day and 3 direct imps payments with mmid.

Which bank is best suitable for imps criterion are:
1.Direct payment with imps using bank acc number, name and IFSC only.
2.High imps sending limits per day per account.
3.Number of imps payments per day per account.

Please share.

Axis no limts for adding, 10 lac limit daily

4  Local / India / Re: Anyone bought Trezor wallet? Custom asking for 3300rs Bucks as Duty on: March 31, 2016, 05:44:38 AM
I bought the trezor finally but i am quite shocked after contacting the dhl Support, they are asking for 3337rs custom duty charges on this?
I mean really? anyone can help me sort this out please reach me if possible
The product is still in transit and will take a day or two to reach, i have already raised a complaint mail and contacted support

I am getting this
'We thank you for writing to us.

We wish to inform you that as per invoice the contents are Data security device with cable and Trezor white or USB device and the total amount mentioned is 104 USD. The shipment has been filed as per the invoice and duty calculated accordingly, kindly find the duty invoice attached for your reference."

or

"We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. We wish to inform you that the duty has been levied by the customs on the reappraised value. The assessable value has been revised by customs to 8400 INR and 1850 INR to bring it in line with the market value. This is because during examination, the customs found the value declared as too low. Hence, duty levied is correct and we request you to make the payment to affect the delivery. Kindly find bill of entry attached"

Any help? this really ruined my day

If you have some contacts in customs, you can ask for a revaluation. They will probably assess it again, maybe they are assessing it under the wrong HS code, you may provide them the right HS code which may have a different duty percentage to be paid. However, what will then happen is that the wallet will have to be stored in warehouse, and dhl will start charging you warehousing charges. which will make the duty amount keep going up. It is only 3300 rupees, just pay the duty, get your product and get done with it. If you dont pay and get stuck, trying to eventually get it out of customs will be a greater headache, than anything else.

all data seems really weird today. for multiple exchanges
server seems to be running fine. The graph data for igot may not be accurate as it was switched off, but it should be correct in few hours.
Can you give more details?

say for btcxindina price was showing 25300, whereas on the actual website lowest price available was for 25500. same was with zebpay.
It corrected a few mins after i posted, so i thought maybe you had done something

8  Local / India / Re: buGEO.net - Simple data entry 0.05 mBTC / entry on: February 05, 2016, 05:09:01 AM

Enable location, before making an entry, then open http://bugeo.net on your android smartphone (Chrome/Firefox/ Default browser), enter any public place, shop or establishment.

Enter at least 3 tags,

Use bitcointalk id as password.

Claim in this thread, for the entries made.

Atleast 0.2 mBTC / 4 valid entries required for withdrawal.

buGEO.net is Business geo network, a geolocation/tag based business directory.
0.0005 BTC or ~13 INR to submit my phone location to some unknown guy? Sorry, my privacy is not so cheap!

correct me if i am wrong but it will be about 1.3 rupees per entry.

Due to large amount of negative feedback on igot, it has been removed from bitcoinrates.in

Hmmm, anything to get this data back? custom url maybe?
10  Local / India / Re: BitcoinRates : Rate at all bitcoin exchanges + Arbitrage opportunities + Alerts on: February 03, 2016, 05:01:36 AM
my head is spinning now. My custom setting is perfect for me.

Unocoin rates are not currently updated due to API issue. Working on fixing it soon.
fixed

For Unocoin - You are only calculating fees , they also charge tax. So effective one has to pay more then what your data shows and same goes with sell.
Thanks, 14.5% tax has been included in the fees. Also you can set custom fees using the following url:
http://www.bitcoinrates.in/?btcxindia=0.01&coinsecure=0.003&igot=0.01&localbitcoins=0&unocoin=0.01145&zebpay=0

thats incorrect for unocoin. 14.5 is on the transaction charge of 1 %. not on the whole amount. so set it to 1.103195 approx.
12  Local / India / Re: What is the best site to withdraw btc to bank with lower fees? on: January 31, 2016, 05:47:17 PM
check out www.bitcoinrates.in

Else see if this link works for you. http://www.bitcoinrates.in/localbitcoins_nb.php?btcxindia=.01&coinsecure=.003&igot=.01&localbitcoins=.0&unocoin=.01&zebpay=.0

Requirement complete for you. Locking thread.
14  Local / India / Re: What Bank Account on: January 21, 2016, 07:48:15 PM
Thanks everyone for their replies. So i have found an interim solution for myself. And this story is important.

Was out for coffee with wife, and she insisted on heading to Barista whereas CCD being right next to it, was my preference. Anyway went to Barista, their card machine was not working and having no cash with me, we went to CCD. At CCD there was a poster of Digibanking by DBS which caught my eye, and something with Oxigen services being their partner for verification. I thought maybe this is another online wallet, but being the curious person that i am, i spent the entire afternoon looking them up.

Downloaded the app, Signed up for their digiexpress account, took less than a minute, and i had transaction limits of 10k a day, and 20k a month. I still believed this was not a bank account, but more like an online wallet. The best part, no cooling time for adding beneficiary, and i could transfer to MMID and account number both.

Signed up for their DigiSavings account, by giving nominee, pan and Aadhar. next day someone came over to verify fingerprint, or i could have gone to a CCD as well to do the same. and as soon as verification was done, my account was activated with upgraded limit of 5 Lac a day, and 50 Lac a month. Also i believe there are no transaction fees, atleast till now haven't been charged anything.

So my problem is solved for the time being. No waiting for adding beneficiary, and decent transaction limit. Only downside, they don't offer current account yet.

P.s. This is a completely online bank account.

I would recommend this to anyone doing BTC trading.

Edit: There is a limit of 20 beneficiaries. However, you keep deleting and adding new ones as there is no limitation. Just a small irritant.
15  Local / Marketplace (India) / Buying BTC at Preev rate on: January 19, 2016, 01:59:08 PM
As topic suggests, buying at Preev rates. Will pay through bank transfer. If escrow required, and localbitcoins not preferred, can use 100bit.co.in

16  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: [W] Cheap residential Land or house on: January 19, 2016, 10:30:08 AM

Once you find the land, wouldn't mind being your neighbour!!!

The idea of a country house is to get away from people :p
Wanna be my neighbor then you can find a place to live near me in the city itself haha
Btw this has nothing to do with Bitcoin so before anyone asks that let me clarify that.

Haha, yes that is so true.

I think you are from CCU, and i am very happy in BOM!!!
17  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: [W] Cheap residential Land or house on: January 18, 2016, 02:28:49 PM
By cheap I mean really really cheap by Indian standards.

If it's vacant land, I am looking for below 50k per kottah (720 sqft)

Will purchase at max 2 -3 kottah (~1500 sqft)

If it's a house / hut / dwelling post your offers.

Always wanted a farm house this is how I start. Please no extravagant exotic offers. Individual sellers / property owners would be given preference. Places near kolkata would be given preference. Open to offers from 'snowy' hill stations and snow capped himalayan villages.

Must haves : Water, Electricity, Hospital, Road & Railways Connectivity, Internet.

Most importantly, will give very high preference to anyone who offers multi year private finance. Yes this is a small amount of money, yes I am asking for private finance.

Once you find the land, wouldn't mind being your neighbour!!!
18  Local / India / Re: India's Best Bitcoin Exchange goes Live with Deposits & Withdrawals! on: January 17, 2016, 05:39:19 AM
Added a Bank Link Manager in the Bank Page.
Should help!

Also, Our ICICI Bank account details have been changed.
Please do check the INR Deposit Page for the new Bank Details.

Thinking of opening a bank account with icici soon. The recent change of your bank account, was it in anyway because of btc trading?
19  Local / India / Re: Looking to meet Bitcoin enthusiasts in Mumbai (18 to 21 Jan 2016) on: January 15, 2016, 04:11:34 PM
Hi,

I am an entrepreneur with some bit of success in digital media.

Bitcoin is new to me, but whatever I have seen leads me to believe that it has tremendous potential.

I am in Mumbai for most of next week (from 18 to 21 Jan 2016). I would like to meet with fellow enthusiasts if possible.

I am testing a couple of potential business ideas to see if they have any legs - so please be ready for many questions if we do meet up. Drinks (and food) are on me!

Best!

If you are in south bombay, let me know.
There is a bitcoin meetup on 23rd Jan at the BSE. If you can extend your stay, you can attend that:
https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/bitcoin-blockchain-money-in-the-age-of-hyper-mobile-millennials-tickets-20801883995

Might show up here.
20  Local / India / Re: What Bank Account on: January 15, 2016, 04:04:12 PM
ENET is useless. Most of my transfers happens outside of NEFT hours. I need IMPS. wonder how axis and other banks are with regard to Imps payments.
