501  Economy / Auctions / Re: Fib XMH shares (Scrypt Asics - Total 168 MHs) on: June 06, 2014, 07:45:51 PM
Can you clarify what it is exactly you are selling?  There is almost no information on their website that is available without logging in.
502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Don’t Miss Out! X-Hash’s Best Offer of Gridseed G-BladeMiner! In-Stock! on: June 06, 2014, 08:35:30 AM
I love how there is no price anywhere on your website and in this post. (without registering)

Fuck that.

I love how they have no one who can confirm receipt of the product except a bunch of 5 post new accounts.

Fuck that.
503  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS 2x 250+MH/S Viper Pre-order from Alpha-T. Scrypt ASIC. on: June 06, 2014, 04:32:47 AM
Did you make the payment or did the terms change?  The invoice you posted shows the due date as being yesterday.
504  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Is Novello Technologies a scam? on: June 06, 2014, 03:03:32 AM
So.. take this as a +1 that i don't think Novello is a scam.  And that i think the guy is genuine.  And that i believe their tech is possible.

But none of that matters. The only thing that matters is whether the team has the skills and capacities to actually see this project to completion on time with the right specs. I've seen nothing to indicate that to be true. Just the opposite. The lack of details concerning who this "dream team" is is a huge red flag. It's 99% likely they will fail and keep all the money for themselves.

I'll take it a step further and say that not even that matters.  Pretend they DO have the ability to create these devices.  That doesn't mean that any of their "customers" will ever get them in time to be useful!  They could potentially create these right on time, right to spec.  And then "burn test" them for the next 6 months.  Or any of a dozen other scenarios that see THEM making tons of money, but not their customers.  They don't want to partner with us, they just want us to give them 4.2 million dollars and then gtfo.
505  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Novello Technologies new Mining System Project, prices as low as $0.3/GH on: June 05, 2014, 11:02:26 PM
As been said before, people hate pre orders and you can cry now to bfl and others scam companys.

I can see in the thread people-users who are actually are known(respected) to community and if they saying something like ...this is not the way to go...
I think this means more than thousand words in your first post.

Sorry but idea is not enough. My question is: Can you build prototype based on this idea? If yes how long does it take to do it, and how much it would cost?

What you asking is 4m for just prototype or for production let say batch one?

Please this time answer and dont ignore as this just proves you are here to ask,get and run away...

I do believe if you are so good as you saying you and your team are, build a working prototype shouldn't be a problem.

Correct me if im wrong, but if you will go to bank and ask for a lone let say 100k secured by house etc. this money would be enough to cover build. And once prototype is build you coming back here showing what you got. We sending BTC and you have money to :

a. produce batch 1 and have date of delivery to every customer who invest in to this
b. have money to cover loan and to develop more stuff or to produce batch 3
c. have money for wages, costs and will live happily as hell.

Hahaha you missed the whole point of going the preorder route.  Sure they could get a loan if their business plan is sound and they have collateral.  They don't want to do that though.  If they take a loan, two things happen.
1.  They have no company assets that they have mentioned, which means their personal assets would have to be used to back the loan.  They believe in their idea, but not enough to risk their own assets!  They would rather get you to risk yours.
2.  There is a legal obligation to make fixed payments.  They don't want to pay you for taking on all the risk.

Oops, this was incorrect.
507  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Is Novello Technologies a scam? on: June 05, 2014, 07:22:22 PM
Of course it is a scam.  You give them money, and they are under no obligation to give you anything in return.  This would be fine if they said they were asking for donations.  But they aren't, they are attempting to call the donators customers.  Intentionally misleading people to get their money is the definition of a scam.
508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best way to hedge against BTC value movements. Bitcoin futures / options? on: June 05, 2014, 06:57:36 PM
In and of itself it isn't that hard to do at all (though naturally, in the absence of a large market for such instruments there would be some complications determining fair price\terms).
For example, you could give me (note this is an example, NOT an offer) say .2btc right now and I could contract with you to sell 1 bitcoin to you on or before 6-12-14 at say 660USD, at your prerogative.  The primary difficulty you would have with this is enforcing the terms of the contract.  Who is to say I would honor the agreement if bitcoin goes up to 700USD or more?  Who is to say I even have 1 bitcoin to sell you?  Securities markets have [in theory anyway] regulatory bodies to ensure these things, bitcoin obviously does not.
509  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Novello Technologies new Mining System Project, prices as low as $0.3/GH on: June 05, 2014, 05:27:09 PM
No one has as yet commented about some aspects of our proposal, which we find odd, namely:

- The fact that we have designed our chip to be fault tolerant using extra pipelines as 'spares'

- Our Guaranteed Supply Program to support our core customers

- Our metrics for measuring what price should be paid per GH of capacity over time

So it either means that no one has read about them, or has no comment to make. Are they good/bad/informative/deceptive/wrong/right and soon. Instead there's been constant badgering about who we are.

No one comments on this because none of it matters.  If you were asking for a loan with fixed payments, we would ask about this because it matters.  If you were asking for investors\shareholders, we would ask about this because it matters.  But your asking for customers for a product that you DO NOT HAVE and are not obligated to ever provide..  We don't care about the specifics of the product because we know that we will never benefit from it.  You are SPECIFICALLY choosing to use the one funding method which leaves your "customers\investors" with absolutely no recourse whatsoever or legal claim whatsoever to whatever profits you make, other than what you voluntarily decide to share at some later date.  You obviously wouldn't do that if you had any intention of ever sharing.  If you were actually interested in sharing any of your profits you wouldn't recoil from creating a legal obligation to share said profits.  So yea, short version is we don't give a shit about your product because none of us will ever profit from it (other than *maybe* a few scraps here and there) despite funding the whole thing and taking on ALL the risk.
510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner on: June 05, 2014, 09:29:53 AM

i mean that if they ship in july we'll break even in less than 20 days. Maybe you are forgetting that we can mine every scrypt coin, not only LTC and at the moment, the most profitable is Neocoin (NEC) with a profit per day of $482.87.

And this without suppose that BTC will raise in next days.

LOL @ ROI in 20 days.  Neocoin?  The reason neocoin has been at the top of the chart and not hammered by multipools is because A.  in excess of 50% orphan rate means you are getting half the coins you should be getting and B.  No exchange is taking neocoin deposits meaning you can't sell it.  The way difficulty is calculated on these coins no coin is going to return much higher than LTC.  LTC was just a week ago 7455 and is now 9116.  I haven't checked recently but last estimate I saw for next difficulty was close to 11k.  Where do you think it will be in August, if this thing even ships on time?  No one knows for sure but we are pace for around 35k which at the current market rate is about 80 dollars a day.  Oh right, they probably forgot to mention that when a manufacturer says July, you start thinking July first.  They mean July 31, meaning this thing is 2 months away AT BEST.  And yes BTC is going up in value but LTC is going down....
And of course no preorder yet has EVER shipped out on time and at spec and these guys look shady as hell....Of course, do what you want.  Me?  You could give me one of these preorders for FREE and I wouldn't make the balloon payment....
511  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 50 MH/s $5,395 FREE Raspberry Pi! www.ZigHash.com on: June 05, 2014, 08:23:41 AM
Maybe a problem with the submission form.  Also, the free shipping is now showing up.  Thank you Smiley
512  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: HASHRA - LUNAR LANDER - ASIC SCRYPT MINERS 12.5MH+ - 75MH+ on: June 05, 2014, 08:07:54 AM
Did they say anything about the ridiculous power requirements?  Anything over the entry level model won't even work on a standard US AC circuit as found in most people's homes.  I mean seriously, 2800 watts from the wall?
513  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: I'm so out the mining game! on: June 05, 2014, 06:15:39 AM
Can you list what you actually have and are asking?  I'm probably interested in at least some of the parts but I need to know what exactly you have....
514  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining SHA-256 at multipool.us VS Buying Bitcoins on: June 05, 2014, 04:57:21 AM
Wow You are a Hard one..
I asked DID I MISS SOMETHING, I did not ASK if my average SHA - 256 Mining stats on Multipool.us are correct.

What is wrong with You my friend ?

I just explained to You in DETAIL where my numbers are coming from, I really dont understand why you keep bumping my thread with BS.

Once more, thanks for Your comments but please stop here.

Best Regards and Happy Mining..

From their homepage:

"Jun 05 12:23 AM Sha-256 profitability on the main page was being reported incorrectly due to a database column size issue. The column size has been increased and the db is now reflecting the correct number of shares for that calculation. SHA-256 profitability should be a bit more accurate now."

I guess you don't know everything after all.

Why did I keep saying it?  Because at first when you asked for help I thought you were genuinely interested in understanding profitability and were just confused.

515  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS 2 Blades on: June 05, 2014, 01:13:52 AM
And do you have proof of ownership (i.e. pics)?  Where is shipping from?
516  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 50 MH/s $5,395 FREE Raspberry Pi! www.ZigHash.com on: June 05, 2014, 01:05:34 AM
Your website advertises free shipping but whenever I actually begin an order it adds shipping with no way to take it off.  I asked your support people but they never responded to me.  Whats the deal?
Also asked what does "fast shipping" mean?  My idea of fast may not be your idea of fast!  Do you ship your products from your location (and where is that anyway) or are you just a drop shipper?
517  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Novello Technologies new Mining System Project, prices as low as $0.3/GH on: June 05, 2014, 12:55:56 AM
tl;dr version:

We need money to fund out company.  We want YOU to take all of the risk, and pay all of the costs.  Meanwhile, WE will retain complete control of the company and earn the lion's share of the profits.

I'm only going to touch on a few things real quick:

"That’s all fine and well but the large amounts of money needed to develop new asic products make it all but impossible for individuals to fund."

This is NOT true.  Virtually every company, in virtually every industry, somehow manages to come up with a working product BEFORE asking the consumer to pay for it.  Imagine if you went to buy a new car and the guy wanted 30k up front and 2 years to design the thing and then build it!  Or if you called a doctor and told him you wanted to become a patient and he asked for the money up front and said he'll get back to you once he gets a few hundred other patients and goes to med school.  Etc Etc.

Here's the thing.  If you have a viable business model you CAN get the money.  There are many MANY ways you can get funding, in point of fact that is what I do professionally.  Yet you balk at this because these methods will eat into your profits, or force you to cede at least some control of the company.  Well of course they do!  If you want someone else to take on all the risk and pay for your project it is only natural they THEY not YOU will be in charge, and THEY not YOU will get the lion's share of the profits.   Naturally you don't want to do that, you want to have your cake and eat it too.  You want someone else to pay for the business, but keep all the profits for yourself.   Your company doesn't have to be a scam for this to be a shitty deal to the consumer.  I can believe every word you say, and believe you to be 100 percent legit.  And it is STILL a shitty deal for the consumer.
518  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining SHA-256 at multipool.us VS Buying Bitcoins on: June 05, 2014, 12:01:11 AM
Okay you're right, I'm wrong, the website is wrong, all the calculators are wrong.  Everyone is wrong.  You're going to be rich!
One question though.  If you had already made up your mind that your calculations were correct, why the fuck did you ask?
519  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining SHA-256 at multipool.us VS Buying Bitcoins on: June 04, 2014, 11:28:35 PM
And again, I have no idea where you, or I guess they, are getting that figure.  I doubt they are lying per say.  But it is obvious there is an error in that particular calculation.  You can see right on their home screen:

Coin           Hashrate             Time            Rate (/BTC)       Profitability
BTC      213.534 TH/s    11h5m    1.00000000    0.00004820

Or you can go into their payouts and see the actual amount they are paying out and it is much less (in line with what a calculator says they should be paying).  This is for BTC:

Avg. Profit (last 30 blocks)   0.00005197 BTC/GH/day  (higher as expected since many of those blocks are from a previous difficulty).

That what they are actually paying out for the last 30 days.

I guarantee you, 100 percent, that they are not paying out .1btc per Th/s per day.

Anyways believe whatever you want, really.   Wishful thinking doesn't actually put money in your pocket though.

520  Economy / Auctions / Re: [FAST Auction] [Pre-Order] Alpha-T Viper 50 MH/s scrypt LOW PRICE on: June 04, 2014, 11:12:34 PM
Probably nobody wants it for the same reason you are trying to get rid of it.  Since you are going to lose it anyways, why not save time from having to keep starting new auctions and just start one with no reserve?  I don't want it at any price but someone might be willing to buy it for less than you are currently asking.
