541  Economy / Lending / Re: 10.0 btc Loan Request on: May 28, 2014, 10:15:58 PM
Due to severe weather conditions, a unique business opportunity has presented itself as there is now a dire need for water in the remote locations here in Guyana. With this being said I am looking for a 10.0 btc loan to purchase filled water bottles and have them transported to these communities to be resold.

Having worked at a water distribution depot here in the city, I know where to purchase the bottles as well as where to get a good deal on the bottles.

The 10.0 btc is equivalent to 1 million local currency and will be used to purchase 300 filled bottles @ $3,000 each. Transportation cost will account for the other one hundred thousand.

A single bottle of water will be resold for $1,000, not to be confused - only the water is being sold, he bottle will be exchanged. Based on these figures the initial investment will be recovered within six weeks, at which time the 10.0 btc loan will be repaid.

Greetings!  I am recently deposed prince of Amapa.  I will gladly assist you in your business opportunity.  Unfortunately, my vast fortunate cannot be removed from the country so easily.  If you send me 1 BTC to bribe the corrupt local officials needed to get my moneys out, I will then repay the 1 BTC and also pay additional 10BTC you can use for your business opportunity.

Still confused on if it's 7 days or 10 days? What is the exact date and time that mining ends?  Huh

I'm still mining and minting away. Dojecoin Rocks! Mine / buy it cheap while you still can!

186 minutes ~3.1 hours

If this started on 5 PM EST - May 19th and is supposed to go fo 10 days, shouldn't it end in 2 days at 5pm EST on May 29th?

It says right in the OP.

543  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buying 1 bitcoin For the Future on: May 27, 2014, 06:04:17 AM
Hey guys,
My brother told me yesterday he wanted to buy 1 Bitcoin, and safe it a few years.
What do you guys say about the price, when should he buy it?
Around 500 dollar is oke but what should I tell him because i dont want him to lose money.

Obviously no one here can tell you for sure what the price of bitcoin will be at any particular point in time.  With that said, two things:
1.  If you don't want any risk of losing the money, don't buy the bitcoin.  No one can guarantee it won't go down in value.
2.  If you're legit going to keep it for a few years, exactly when you buy it won't matter.  Think about it in 5 years say they trade for 10 grand a piece.  Or alternately, they don't trade at all because they are worthless.  Either way, are you really going to care if you paid 586.21 or 592.36 or 579.15 or whatever?

When is the official cut-off time? Is there a countdown somewhere? I've mined about this many 137525961.646712 DOJE so far .. .

It's stated right in the OP.

546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Idea for a physical shop on: May 26, 2014, 06:52:25 PM
This isn't really a bitcoin thing; one could obviously have such a machine and it could accept anything as payment, bitcoin, credit card, etc.  They already have these all over the place here, it would simply be a matter of adding bitcoin as a payment option.
Personally, I hate them.  The convenience store by me has nothing but these and they NEVER work.  They have four of them, and I have never been in the store when more then one was working correctly so there is always a huge line.  Plus there is always some dumbass who doesn't  know how to work it and holds up the whole line even more.
547  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: For sale: 90Mh/s Alpha Technology Viper SCRYPT mining server - 1 unit preorder on: May 25, 2014, 11:11:29 PM
The innosilicon machines in this power category have been available for some time now.  Heck someone a few posts down from you  is selling one 86MH/s for $9500.
548  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: For sale: 90Mh/s Alpha Technology Viper SCRYPT mining server - 1 unit preorder on: May 25, 2014, 09:43:34 PM
Should have taken the 4btc.  This preorder is essentially worthless.  You can buy delivered today for 9500 this much hashing power.  Why would anyone purchase a preorder that costs in total 9500 but isn't ready, at best, until end of july?
549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin set to overtake PayPal in 2014 on: May 25, 2014, 08:43:27 PM
Wow, a hedge fund invested heavily in bitcoin declares they expect bitcoin to surpass paypal by year end.  I'm sure there is no conflict of interest there  Roll Eyes

Here you can see some of the videos with cgminer pointed at eligius and btcguild.

We are LEGIT!

Sorry for shouting Smiley

I have a novel idea.  How about you produce a working product and THEN try to sell the fucking thing?

As you can see in the pictures above, we produced and shipped not ONE working unit, but ONE BATCH of working units, but thank you for trying to create interest around our topic.

Let me say it again:
In December 2013 we shipped batch #1 of Poseidon mining rigs. Batch #1 consisted in 25 mining units, some of which you can see in the pictures above.

Is it just me or is the chick on the tv screen naked?
It does 5TH/s plus live streaming pr0n, all in one box!

if you buy 2 and stack them you get girl on girl scenes.

Those are the 3th/s not Zeus ones Smiley

552  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Communist Conspiracy Against Bitcoin on: May 24, 2014, 11:07:37 PM
It's becoming ever more clear to to me that the communists are actively trying to centralise and control Bitcoin.

Assholes want to micromanage peoples daily lives, thoughts and have the ability fuck with your money at will.

Keep bitcoin decentralized at all cost!

Where do you people come up with this stuff???
553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is BITCOIN more expensive than other cryptocurrency? on: May 24, 2014, 01:02:48 AM
Most Bitcoin newbie ask this question:
Why is BITCOIN more expensive than other cryptocurrency?

I don't think I've ever seen or heard anyone ask that question.
554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop falling for the Mintpal pump and dump scam (this should be a forum sticky) on: May 23, 2014, 06:17:07 PM
The same group that pump and dumped Blackcoin and Cinnicoin is doing the same thing with Darkcoin.  It's so stupidly obvious because they only use the same exchange to do it every time, the same or similar amount of volume every time, and I've even talked to these people on IRC about it.  The part about them using shady tactics to attempt to make money in an unregulated market isn't what bothers me, what bothers me is, they are forcing coins that are basically crap into the top 10 and eventually some of them might stick and we'll be forced to buy them to participate in crypto.  Cinnicoin is the best example of this, it has completely idiotic block times that would never work as a functional currency, yet somehow they managed to fool all these people into keeping it not only afloat, but an insanely high market cap.

I'm sure I'm not the only person bothered by whatever coins succeeding or failing right now isn't determined by technical merit, fair distribution, or any kind of rational variables, but entirely decided by what a random pump and dump group decides to do when they wake up in the morning.

Why do you care what other people trade?
555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is bitcoin the reason for world hunger? on: May 23, 2014, 06:14:05 PM
some ppl say with the whole electricity bill of the whole miners you could end the world hunger.

/discus

Well most definitely!  I mean, there were no hungry people in the world, ever, and then bitcoin came along and all of a sudden we have all these hungry people everywhere.  Obviously bitcoin caused it!
Btw, when you say "some ppl", you mean yourself right?  Or if you mean people other than yourself, perhaps you should say who?
556  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Alpha-T 18mh/s Viper on: May 23, 2014, 08:41:52 AM
G blades can be had new for 750ish each (they can be had for even less used) and do around 5.5MH/s each.  3 of them give similar performance at a similar price and can be had today.  Alpha-T is not shipping for at least 10 more weeks at which point they will only be worth a fraction of what you have to pay for them, and of course that is if they ship on time.  They aren't very forthcoming with information on their progress (never a good sign) but it looks like they are way behind schedule; I wouldn't be surprised if they never deliver anything.  Last I checked though they were offering 50% refunds on the deposit but I guess that may have changed.
557  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB: Antminer S1, paying with Paypal, canada shipping on: May 23, 2014, 06:54:49 AM
PayPal sent as a GIFT cannot be refunded/claimed against and usually no fee.
Buyers usually cover any associated fees.

I have bought and sold many items using this method. Never any issues.

That isn't true.  Paypal sent as a gift can be funded via credit card and CAN be charged back.  If you charge back the CC, the CC will charge back paypal, who will then charge back the seller.  In theory, paypal seller protection protects the seller against fraudulent chargebacks, but if you read the actual terms and conditions, they leave themselves enough outs to chargeback pretty much any transactions.  I can assure you 100 percent, if a buyer successfully charges back through their credit card company you WILL be chargedback, paypal is not going to eat the loss.

Have you ever attempted to get a charge reversed with your credit card company? Very hard to do mate. Not trying to start a pissing war here. Believe what you want but I know what I have  and have not done. Peace yo.

Getting a charge reversed with a credit card company is not at all hard to do.  I'm not going to argue with you on this, you are free to believe whatever you want.  And I wouldn't have said anything at all, except that you are telling people a gift payment is safe and can't be charged back, and if someone trusts you on this, they could potentially lose a lot of money to a fraudulent chargeback.
558  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Alpha-T 18mh/s Viper on: May 23, 2014, 01:27:53 AM
Your alpha preorders are worthless; I doubt anyone would take it for free, let alone give you any money for it.  Just the remaining balance alone, ignoring having to pay you for the deposit, is 1000 pounds and the miner is what, 10 weeks minimum from shipping if it ever even ships at all?  For 1000 pounds one can get the same hash delivered TODAY.
My suggestion would be to take them up on the refund offer.  50% is better then 0%.

560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [TITAN MINING SHARES] 0.09btc 500 Kh/s ---- good deal litecoin ASIC miner on: May 22, 2014, 07:44:24 PM
Have you done calculations counting the massive diff increase counting all the other asics that people will have?

yes, anyway everything is possible. I've placed my order the first day they opened pre-orders and I think I will be one of the first people who will start mining by titan.
What could go wrong?

- bad crash in ltc's value or a bug in ltc system
- big late in delivery times
- Titan doesn't respect specs

As bitcoin history IMHO first months of mining will be very profitable and than, from november, difficulty will be prohibitive.

LOL  you paid cash up front for a product that doesn't even exist yet, to a company notorious for delays both unexpected and intentional, and you wonder what could go wrong?
