561  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB Scrypt Asic miner 5MH up blades or similiar on: May 22, 2014, 08:10:09 AM
What are you looking for, and how much are you offering?
562  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS 2x 90MH/S Viper Pre-order from Alpha-T. Scrypt ASIC. on: May 22, 2014, 06:36:08 AM
Lot of alpha pre orders for sale.  Not trying to tell you what to do, but you may consider coming WAY down on your price.  No one is going to pay ~ $9500 for 90MH/s ASICs delivered, at BEST, 10 weeks from now when they can get the same hash, for the same price, delivered right now (and lower power consumption).
563  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying 0.04 BTC on: May 22, 2014, 12:02:34 AM
No one here is going to sell you btc via paypal.
564  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: GAWMiners.com - THE BIG GUN - 100 MH Scrypt Miner! $11,999.95 on: May 21, 2014, 11:18:42 PM
Hey we never got an answer what is in these things as opposed to what is in the zeus machines.  I wouldn't care so much except that the power consumption figures on these devices is way higher than it should be.  Since you mentioned blizzard I'll use that as an example.  Blizzard is rated 15 watts and does 1.26MH/s but fury is rated 35 watts for 1MH/s.  Even if we assume the hashing will turn out the same, why does it use almost 2.5 times the power?
565  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for .06 btc loan on: May 21, 2014, 10:13:08 PM
1.  The interest on this loan you are offering is greater than the fee money pack charges.

2.  If you can't even come up with a measly 30 dollars perhaps you shouldn't be gambling.
566  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 14MH/s Scrypt Cloud Mining - Start Mining Instantly on: May 21, 2014, 05:39:06 PM
Interested.  Do you have any proof that you own these things?  Does GAW allow transfer of ownership?   Will GAW ship them out (not interested in hosted) and if so, how much for that?
567  Other / Politics & Society / Re: USA: 300 Million vs 545 on: May 21, 2014, 08:49:21 AM
Not sure if you are serious, and not really going to get into a debate about this topic, just a few things:

"Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago..."

Of course they did.  Many of these taxes did exist 100 years ago.  Obviously the ones about gas and cars and shit didn't exist cause ya know, ordinary people generally didn't have cars.  Just a quick scan through the list though, liqueur tax?  George Washington himself personally led the army (last sitting president to do so, actually) in 1794 to put down an armed rebellion opposed to paying tax on whiskey.  Taxes have always existed, and Americans have always bitched about them.  This is not a new thing.

"We had absolutely no national debt"
Again, false.  USA had a national debt in 1914.  Actually, with a brief exception in the early 1830s, the USA has always had a national debt.

"...and Mom stayed home to raise the kids."

No she didn't.  She worked.  And so did the kids.  Child labor was very much legal (and quite the norm) in the USA in 1914.

"Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible."

Well of course one could argue that they didn't get into office without getting elected, but an easier refutation would be to point out that about half those taxes you mentioned are not federal taxes at all, regulated at the state level and so those 545 have nothing to do with them.

Anyways, like most forwarded emails, it's good for a mild chuckle, speckled with tiny grains of truth here and there, but mostly bullshit.

60 each including shipping (USA)?
569  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 17MH/s Gridseed Blade Scrypt Miner Bundle on: May 21, 2014, 12:03:43 AM
I would buy them from you but since you couldn't be bothered responding to anyone before,  nor will you do escrow, good luck with that.
570  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Biostar BTC-24GH mini-Review on: May 20, 2014, 09:34:38 PM
I had to double check the date, thought maybe it said 2013 not 2014.  But no.
571  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: If you consider getting an ASIC machine, read this on: May 20, 2014, 08:32:59 PM
I ve read a very nice piece on Bitcoin mining these days, basically comparing mining rig to a golden goose, very interesting. It sums up to the following, why would ASIC manufacturers sell their machines if they can use them for mining:

“The only logical reason would either be because you know the productivity of the golden goose (ASIC) will go down over time — something which is the case for bitcoin because its hash rate doubles roughly every month — the goose was faulty or because someone was offering more than its value in the first place. Which means — unless you know how to make a rig yourself — chances are you won’t be making millions from a rig investment any time soon because the Bitcoin system is literally “rigged” against you from the outset.”

Here is the entire piece:

http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/news/mining-rigs-killed-golden-goose/2014/05/20

Think twice before buying.

The article reads like something written by a person who doesn't have a very firm grasp of finance.  Why would a company sell a "golden goose" machine?  Well one answer is the same reason why a company might sell commercial paper or bonds with a face value worth more then they are selling them for.  Cash up front is worth more then cash tomorrow or the next day or the day after that.  Perhaps the company has other investments they believe will bring a bigger return than mining?  Risk.  There is a certain risk involved with mining.  We don't know what btc will be worth tomorrow or the day after, but we have a pretty good idea what dollars will be worth.  Selling machines passes the risk on to the miner who takes a premium for absorbing that risk.  Of course, mining also takes effort, and has costs associated with it.  It is entirely possible for them to sell machines profitably to customers who are better positioned to handle these costs.
In short, none of this means buying machines is a good (or bad) idea.  What it does mean is that there a lots of legit reasons why a company might sell machines to miners in a mutually beneficial transaction.
572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did ebay and paypal screw you over for using BTC {Class Action} on: May 20, 2014, 07:56:41 PM

Also several people have brought up a good point: What exactly are we suing them for? I have several old tort books but I don't know the answer to this question off the top of my head.

Don't you think you might want to figure that out first?  I mean seriously?  You don't even know why you are suing them?

Are there any plans to stock any of the other versions of the A2?

575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASICS, difficulty and price? on: May 19, 2014, 11:39:30 PM
Well the big ASICS are here, and from a reliable company.
http://affiliate.gawminers.com//idevaffiliate.php?id=105

Obviously the difficulty of litecoin (and all scrypt coins) is
going to go way up.  So my question to the veterans of
the bitcoin ASIC race is, Will the price of LTC go up with
the difficulty? And is this always the case?  I am trying
to decide whether it is smarter to just buy a lot of LTC,
figuring it will go up due to ASICS, or if I should actually
buy the ASIC?

No.  Why would it?  I keep seeing people making the claim that LTC (and by extension other scrypt coins) will see a value increase from the difficulty increase but why would they?
576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Federal reserve banker calls bitcoin small potato! on: May 19, 2014, 11:29:10 PM
Basically he says USD is better because with USD you're losing your purchasing power at a predictable rate. Lol.

What a fucking joke. What a fucking moron.

But that IS the primary benefit of USD.  Stability is the single most desirable attribute for a currency to have.

If BTC had a user base that was the same size as the USD's then the purchasing power would be a lot more stable.  Stability will come with time as adoption grows.  That doesn't happen overnight.  It will take time.  Those who want stable (but steadily rising) purchasing power will just have to be patient.

I agree with you.  But never the less it doesn't change the fact that as of RIGHT NOW, USD is much more stable, and that is a very desirable attribute for a currency to have (and of course, a very small, but completely stable, steady decline in value of the currency is extremely beneficial to them.  And in theory anyways, all of us).   Anyways, I wasn't trying to start an argument but simply point out that what he said about the value\usefulness of USD is 100 percent right.  He is not at all a "fucking moron".  Listen, we all here want this thing to succeed.  That doesn't however mean that anyone that says anything even remotely disparaging about BTC is a "fucking moron".
577  Economy / Lending / Re: Will someone lend me 1[btc]? on: May 19, 2014, 10:18:30 PM
You seem to be very trustworthy, what do you think of, when I would trust you 4000 NRS?

Within the last 24 hours NRS has traded for 0.000035 bitcoins.

So your 4000 NRS are worth 0.14 btc.

No collateral, no loan.  You know the rules.

WHAT? XDDD
24-hour Volume: 31.78831135 BTC / 72834.18748094 NRS
https://poloniex.com/exchange/btc_nrs
MY NRS are worth, what I say! The only one who takes a risk, will be me. - Especially with 4000 NRS, in the hope to get it back.

Also the price will rice, during their new Multipool and the Cryptsylisting during the next future.

If you are so confident that they are worth what you say then just sell them, do what you need to do, and buy them back in two days.  Problem solved.
sigh.. You noobs don't understand collateral.  Wouldn't the price be much higher in 2 days?

Are you retarded or do you just like to start fights?  If he sold the shitcoin he wouldn't need a loan in the first place and so he wouldn't need collateral.  Hence the problem would be solved.  Actually what would really happen is no one is going to give him the 1btc he claims his shitcoin is worth, thus proving the point it isn't worth 1btc.

Seriously, wtf do you guys do with these little 5 and 10 dollar loans?  How can you possibly be so broke you can't come up with 10 bucks?

580  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Buying mining shares from cryptsy et al on: May 18, 2014, 11:21:38 PM
They  don't actually need ANYONE mining for them nor do they need to buy back contracts from anyone.  Since the contracts will pay out, over the life of the contracts, less BTC then Cryptsy sold them for, it is a simple matter for them to set aside enough btc from each purchase to pay out incrementally over the life of the contact and pocket the the remainder.  They would actually be better off NOT having anyone actually mine for them as they can save on hosting costs that way.
