what is proper number of thread I shoud use with i5-2500?

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Excellent, smooth launch OP. Nice coin too - makes a change from all the clones recently. We should try to get the word out to non-miners about this, "the bitcoin you can mine on your ordinary computer".
Thats until someone adapts a GPU miner for it.... im sure some people have started already... |

addnode=162.217.249.196 Strange, I'm having no problems here. If you didn't get any VTC yet, you could try closing vertcoin and deleting everything in c:\users\yourname\appdata\roaming\vertcoin other than the conf file then restarting. |

Yeah, we should hit another difficulty adjustment in about 15 minutes at this rate, bringing the orphans lower again. |
