Nice to see lot of people interested in this coin. If at all Bumbacoin is planning to take over this coin, I would like to know more. Is the plan to merge development for both Bumba and This coin? Or would it be just focusing on merging blockchains, or unified wallet etc?

not a takeover as such, there's a wide reaching and active community to be thinking of. stronghands is a completely seperate coin to bumbacoin, and will remain so. |

that seems to be the version from here https://github.com/bumbacoin/stronghands/releasesyou will find that many crypto wallets will trigger virus alerts, these can be caused by the inbuilt miner, or the inbuilt irc connections. be careful when using anything downloaded from the internet :p especially when it comes to anything like money. if you wish to run the wallet, you may need to whitelist it with various anti-virus programs |

HI Y'ALL. i have been vaguely involved in Stronghands for some time now, and I see that contrary to my expectations SHNDS is getting more and more new users supporting it  bitcointalk still seems to be a major information source for crypto currencies and accordingly one of the major problems facing Stronghands at the moment is that this thread belongs to a long departed Dev and cannot be updated and information is quickly lost in the mix. in the soon future I will be creating a new ANN here on bitcointalk to hopefully help focus the current divergent forces into a coherent point. I will be working with various other people in the discord channel to make the new thread useful and more resilient to future changes. the idea is that other trusted members of the community will participate in the thread by claiming posts in the thread, the OP will be simple and not need to much updating, the other posts will be updatable by these other members I am not claiming any over seeing role in the coin, but am using my presence to help create a more coherent future. for the moment i cannot vouch for any links in this thread other than those on my github you will find source code and windows executables here that will help to alleviate the problem with sending greater than 2 billion coins https://github.com/bumbacoin/stronghands/releasesand you will find other wallets here currently v0122 which are unmodified source from the official github listing in the OP on this thread and also a wallet designed to assist with a broken wallet from sending too many coins https://github.com/bumbacoin/Stronghands-wallets |

Hi guys , can any one please tell how to setup the wallet on a mac
I downloded the the mac version and installed it
but it says " 0 connection to the stronghands network "
i have other wallets for other coins , they all started syn after i installed it
but for this i believe we should do some additional stuff..
if anyone can tell what are the steps , it will be really appreciated!

you have two choices here is the wallet compiled as original from source in OP, both win and OSX wallets are available this version is generally fine to use, but there is an issue where creating a transactoin over 2billion coins can break your wallet also here is a specially created wallet that will open borken wallets for the handy extraction of associated privatekeys https://github.com/bumbacoin/Stronghands-walletshere is another version, it will mostly prevent you from borking your wallet (as above) by limiting transaction sizes to 1billion, there are apparently still ways to bork your wallet with it, also, it will prevent stakes that are over 1 billion, which might be problematic. https://github.com/bumbacoin/stronghands/releases |

Can you have multiple wallets on the same computer? For example both Strong Hands and Sprout?
I will appreciate if someone gives me an answer.
they should have unique network settings that mean they will not chat, however stronghands is a clone of sprouts and it's possible the original dev didnt tweak it appropriately. you can always help it by adding port=<whatever> rpcport=<whateverelse> to one of your conf files, the only issue might be if the protocol uses identical handshakes, then they will try to chat with the wrong network possibly.. your best bet is to try |

Does anyone know what the problem is with not mining?  user and password must be same as rpcuser and rpcpassword in yr stronghands.conf you can also specify rpcport (in conf file) to whatever you like for easiness --- i must admit to pleasant surprise as to the longetivity of this coin. i thought it would have died many moons ago |

This information took some hard work to find - comparing size and price of SHND and sprouts SHND total supply of coin is only 12 BILLION coins only..thats it?  ? No wonder people are accumulating at this price. Comparing it with Sprouts coin whose total supply is 1.3 trillion almost 10 times more. Comparing both SHND and Sprouts(SPRT) SHND should go past Sprout coin. Yesterday i bought 3.700.000.000 stronghands, sent to my wallet. This happened in pices of 100.000.000. Now i wanted to put all in 1 input and sent to an adress and wallet crashed. Can not start it again. Any suggestions?
The SHND wallet can send maximum 1 billion SHND. If you are rich and try to send over 1 billion, the wallet will crash. The only way to recover is to open database and delete all files EXCEPT wallet.dat and syncronize the wallet again. If you want to syncronize wallet more fast, download the blockchain from here : http://cryptochainer.com/dir/?page_id=365As I know there is a coin wallet that does permit transaction over 1 billion, created by Bumba. You can find nodes here :https://www.coinexchange.io/network/peers/SHND -The problem occured with the Bumba wallet (actually, there is no other wallet to find, links to other ones are not working). -Tried all that b4 without succes, if i move wallet.dat somewhere else, wallet opens without a problem. -Why would you allow transactions to be made if the wallet is broken and coins lost for good goes beyond me... i'm aware there is some problem with my wallet. i'm not sure what it is tbh. but the major problem with the code is that with if the combined transaction is over 2billion you will bork your wallet, (all inputs add to over 2 billion) - this is a bug that exists historically in bitcoin code (however it only presents in large coinsupplies as an issue). in which case you will need to extract your privkey and import it into an empty wallet. you will find somewhere in this thread, a wallet-qt i built which should handle borken wallets from large transactions (it is only useful for this purpose), this should load your wallet.dat, then you can extract your private key, then you can import that into an empty wallet. moral of this post, dont create transactions that bork your wallet |

this is me they're talking about  the Pure dev hired some people (including myself) to do work for them, that's how business works, so i built some wallets and did some code tweaks iirc and got paid. how the Pure dev handles Pure has nothing to do with me. |

oh ok, sunny74007 is related to pure. i built mac wallets and did a little bit of code tweaks if i recall correctly, hung out in slack during early period helping with wallet issues and escrowed a couple of trades, havent looked at in a while so no idea what it's doing. when i help with a coin, it's not my coin, and i will leave at the appropriate juncture  |

lol if someone asks me to build a wallet i say yes i'll help with obscure shitcoins, and with up and coming coins, and serious coins with real teams behind them. i'll help in chats and to setup wallets - but only to a point, there's only so many things i can juggle at once, so at the moment i'm mainly helping with xgox and not much else. i was sort of keeping a list with coins i was helping with and building wallets for but i gave up updating cos i couldnt be arsed your list is probably about 5% of the coins i've worked on in the last year. probably most of them are shitcoins by any definition but that is not up to me how anyone runs their coin. (i have called out a few coins over the years, pupa was one of them - my entire level of interaction with pupa was saying it had an excessively large premine. i really like the name though) tbh i'm not even sure who sunny747007 is. but i do recall the name - things go in one ear and out the other but i honestly dont care if you have nothing behind you but a code base. as far as i'm concerned crypto as a whole is working at disrupting the annoyingly fucked up society at large, so i'll even help you if you need help with your coin  i might share some of your tweets, but i will never shill your coin. -- something to ask yourself, why do many shitcoins that dump have anonymous teams that do not have any evident experience behind them? and why have i kept this same acct going and am using it since 2014? if i was seriously involved with so many scams i'd most certainly have a string of new accts. |

I am having the same problem mate, I sent an email in and they said they paid me when in fact they didn't as like you they were on the wrong chain at the time when they sent them. I sent them another support ticket with the current block explorer thanks to CryptoDatabase but have not heard a word from them since which is now over 1 week. I'm now thinking that I'll never get my honey from them, lucky for me it was a small amount but for you 400 is a lot to lose. I'm not sure what to suggest. the squeaky wheel gets the grease |
