I'm in the same boat.. Is EXCL capable of running on 16.04? cannot get a block height for some reason - *deleted*@vultr:~/excl# ./exclusivecoind getinfo error: couldn't connect to server *deleted*@vultr:~/excl# ./exclusivecoind *deleted*@vultr:~/excl# Error: Cannot obtain a lock on data directory /*deleted*/.exclusivecoin. ExclusiveCoin is probably already running. and no my username is not *deleted* that probably means it's still loading. give it a few minutes i edited, cos i realise i mistook where you were at

please notethe chain is under attack again.
as well as the previous manipulation of block timestamps, seems like the attacker is also using a modified wallet taht can stake after 500 blocks rather than wait 24 hours (min stake age) which generic wallets are limited to. we have forked quite dramatically !!! so have asked exchanges to take us offline again while we work on further fixes. we will necessarily mandate another Hard Fork to the excl protocol to fix both issues -- come to discord for more information as it happens. https://discord.gg/veDmUWv

if balance shows as zero buzz made this guide (happens rarely but can to some people): dumpwallet ~/wallet.dump stop daemon move wallet.dat start daemon importwallet ~/wallet.dump profit this is a basic version to be used with linux daemon, basic process is similar for qt etc. it basically dumps all your keys, then reimports to a new blank wallet. it's likely using your current chain as a bootstrap would also work. for assistance please come to discord

lol. i havent checked this thread in a while, i'm glad you've been keeping busy. i personally have no idea who owns wallet #1, obviously someone does, and they might be a mod, i have no idea. i am also unsure about anonimoles claims, yes #1 wallet holds a shit load of SHND and yes they own more than one address. but unless you can provide actual evidence it's not a great story. even before i got involved in developing SHND #1 was #1, that has not changed since i have been here. whatever your claims are, #1 wallet got to #1 by buying/mining/staking which is a fully legitimate process. that is how all coins work, and if you bought into a 100% pos coin, so did everyone else until we forked. there is nothing wrong with them owning that many coins. This coin has been around for ages, its only natural that the people who believed in it the longest would have the largest stake.
this is the simple truth.

once again it's come to my notice that some exchanges do stake coins that have been deposited by users. obviously nothing new, but i've just re-noticed this.
so this is a personal question from myself as to how the position of such exchanges might be justified to enabling staking for their own benefit? obviously there is benefit in staking coins, then continuing to stake the coins you've just sold.
personally, i feel this should be done transparently, yet the only exchanges that i've noticed tell users, also offers their services as a staking pool.
i do recall seeing some exchange offering itself as zero fee's, with funding via initial listing and staking user deposits, but i can't recall who that was, or even if they're running.

To clarify our Team position in regards to the current swap and burn.
The swap ratio will remain constant for the entire duration of swap. We will not be increasing or decreasing that value under any circumstances.
Swapping is purely optional, it is up to all SHND holders whether they wish to own SHND or SHMN or both. There will be no forced swap under any circumstances.
All SHND swapped will be destroyed/burnt. If you choose to swap, then your SHND will be destroyed and you will not be able to swap back.
At the end of the swap period all remaining SHMN will also be burnt or destroyed.
SHND will be considered after the swap as to whether any new changes to rewards will be integrated. This will be based on remaining supply against current rewards.
there is no plan for any further burn after this period. any talk of a further burn is not official
---
The swap ratio is 5.000.000 SHND to 1 SHMN
An amount of SHMN has been earmarked for distribution to team-members for services during development and swap. So far a total of 5750 SHMN have been distirubted to myself, bitcoinbabys, linenoise, repo, nashclay BrazilianRiderVDR and Fedda the BootStrap man. This may increase before swap end but we are highly concerned to maintain SHMN value without flooding the market by paying the development team.
in regards to SHND being destroyed, we are using a feature of the code base where all coins sent as fees are destroyed and the coin supply is immediately reduced. we will be exploring options for SHMN as to whether this process is feasible, if it is not possible, we will generate a burn address and send all funds there.
