981  Economy / Economics / Re: Will inflation in the world grow by 2023? on: May 26, 2023, 02:46:33 AM
As the rate of inflation will increase more in the coming days, the prices of various commodities will increase and this may be a bad news for those who have deposited money in the bank because the bank is heavily indebted due to inflation and if the amount of loan increases, the bank declares itself bankrupt. As a result, people who keep money in the bank lose all their wealth. Therefore, it may be a good decision to convert your money into Bitcoin in this period of inflation without taking the risk of losing your assets. Because we never want to lose our hard earned wealth.

What are the signs that inflation will continue to increase in the near future? According to various reports of countries' governments, especially the US economy, inflation gradually decreases over time.

The banking industry in the US is in a state of crisis, and that does not mean that all banks in the world are in the same situation. Banks in my country are still operating normally, not a single bank has collapsed. I also disagree with you when you say that taking all our money out of the bank and putting all our assets in bitcoin is risk-free. Bitcoin is still considered the riskiest asset because of its volatility and uncertain future, it is only suitable as a speculative asset, not a safe-haven asset. We invest in bitcoin because we want to get high returns and become rich, but at the same time, we will also face increased risks. In short, nothing is perfect, so when it comes to our safety, the best way is to diversify.

Amazing. What a great performance from Pakistan. Omair Yousuf performance is admirable he made 89 runs and remain not out. On the balling hand of Pakistan. Shahnawaz Dahani and Qasim Akram got 3 3 wickets. Qasim Akram bowling was really good in this match because he got 3 wickets in 3.4 overs. And now the series is at 3-2. The last match is important for Pakistan. If Pakistan will win so the series will be equal. So let's wait for the last ODI match. Smiley
Pakistan should not worry about winning the series. This series is more about preparing for the upcoming tournaments (Asia Cup and the ODI World Cup), and giving opportunities for some of the emerging players. They should not bother about losing a few matches, as the Zimbabwe team is a full strength regular squad. I am still concerned about the lack of a quality spinner in the Pakistani squad. Apart from a few allrounders, they don't have a genuine spinner who can really trouble the opposition batsmen. In this series also, most of their top performers were pacers.

Watching the fifth ODI between these two teams it feels like the old Pakistan suddenly came back. Pakistan performed really well in this match. They have scored a really good amount of runs and they have also been able to bowl really well. Of course, they should not be having any tension because of this series. After all, this is just a preparation for the world cup. They are trying out new things and it is good to see that they finally have got a very convincing result in favor of themselves. Spin bowling is going to be an issue for Pakistani in the world cup I believe because in the middle overs, it is really important.

Most of the peoples were concern about Mumbai bowling but things completely under their control with after 12 over 90 runs and 6 outs mean now we have second qualifier between GT vs MI which could be good encounter.
Today we have good batting and bowing from Mumbai specially their bowlers which are no experienced done good job and not allowed LSG aggressive batting to have anything from here just Stoinis done some resistance but after his run-out now Mumbai can feel safe.

Today we have no big score from any Mumbai batsmen but still all were in good touch which helps their team for having target like 182 Naveen-ul-Haq's four wickets in vain with Mumbai excellent all-rounder performance.

Mumbai Indians performed really well. When at first I saw that the target was only 183 I did not believe that Mumbai Indians would be able to successfully defend that. I thought that target was good but not probably good enough, as in this season's IPL we had a lot of big scores being chased down.

But Mumbai Indians proved me wrong. They have successfully defended the target. And they have also done that with style. 81 is a big margin. Even though they did not score very big they had certainly won with a big margin. Is it the biggest so far in this season's IPL by the way?
984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: May 24, 2023, 06:26:10 PM
I think today's match will be won by the favorite teams because yes, at this moment also the favorite teams must be able to maintain their position and also to be able to overtake. For example, Atletico's competition with Real Madrid, of course, Real Madrid has a target to be able to return to second place, of course by overtaking Atletico. But at the same time, Atletico must also be able to maintain their position in second place and because of that, I say the favorites in today's match are likely to win.

The favorite teams playing in today's match are not only Real Madrid and Atletico, but there are also Villarreal, Betis and also Sevilla. Because in today's match, they got an opponent whose position in the standings is lower than them. Therefore, I am sure that the favorite teams that I mentioned will not waste this good moment to get three points.

RMA vs Rayo
36 minutes of been played in this match and Real Madrid is leading 1-0. So far it feels like Real Madrid is going to take this match and will ensure 3 points. That is going to put them in the second position. At least temporarily.

Villarreal vs Cadiz
37 minutes has been played and Villarreal is leading 1-0. Villarreal is absolutely dominating the match. I do not think there is any chance that Cadiz, who are still dangerously close to the relegation zone by the way, is going to get anything from the match. They will be losing in my opinion.

Sevilla vs Elche
This match has certainly taken some interesting turns. In this match, Sevilla was the first team to score. But after that, they had to face a red card situation. After that, Elche took advantage of that extra man on the field. Now it is the halftime break and the score is one-one. I still think that Sevilla should be able to win this match even though they are 1 man down.
985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 24, 2023, 05:05:48 PM
In most of the Matches of Mumbai Indians one of the player used to hit big runs and the contribution from the rest adds up to a big score. Today there is no big scorer. On an average every player had their contribution, and the same helped the team reach 182 runs which is a good target. Now the winning of Mumbai Indians is in the hands of bowlers, Lucknow have got a good batting line-up, yet that looks to be breakable as it is a pressure match. Bowling with good economy at the middle over matters, if Mumbai Indians were able to do it then this is going to be win for Mumbai Indians.
Mumbai Indians encountered a peculiar predicament in today match because none of their players stood out as a major scorer. However because to persistent efforts from each player the club was able to score a commendable total of 182 runs. This exemplifies the batting lineup depth and overall strength for the Mumbai Indians. The team bowlers are now mostly responsible for the match outcome. Given the importance of this match it is not an easy challenge for them to control Lucknow potent batting order. The Mumbai Indians ability to keep up a strong economy rate during the middle overs successfully placing pressure on the opposition will be essential to their success. The Mumbai Indians will probably succeed if they can carry out this plan. The match is expected to be exciting and tightly contested demonstrating the unpredictable nature of the sport and the significant role bowlers play in determining the result.

I would still say that Mumbai Indians got a very good score. Probably not the best that they could have done but certainly very much defendable. But LSG is doing a good job of keeping up with the required run rate. They have scored 68/2 in 8 overs. Marcus Stoinis is really playing well with an almost 200 strike rate. If he can keep going like this I do not think LSG will face too many problems going to the target. Green and Madhwal have been economical for Mumbai Indians so far.
986  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial education or 1million dollars on: May 24, 2023, 04:17:10 PM
I don't see any sense about the said options because there will be some people that will pick the latter where they will pick the $1 Million and use it to educate themselves so that the money they have picked will not be put into waste by buying some rubbish wants. Some will also pick the first one so that in time, after having the financial education needed, they will use it to make themselves richer.

You see, we all have our own choices to make, and the opportunities that will be presented to us will not really matter at all if we don't have the mindset to make ourselves grow.

I don't see anyone choosing option 1 as financial education, almost all choose 1 million dollars. In my opinion, there is no reason to choose financial education and ignore such a large amount of money because our ultimate goal in this life is to earn a lot of money. You try to study really well, you work hard, try your best to do what? In the end, just to make more money.

Financial literacy is a huge advantage for us, but that doesn't mean we can make money from it. And with a pragmatic society like today, if we don't have money, we won't be able to study properly. Hence, choosing money is still the wisest choice because when we have money, we have everything, including knowledge.
987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 24, 2023, 05:19:09 AM
Regarding the game between Dortmund and Mainz, I saw the odds for Mainz as worth taking the risk. We have a 15.25 rate for winning Mainz in this game which is really tempting for me, Dortmund lost many points this season and if they lose this game it's not surprising even if they need the full three points to win the league.

The odds are certainly heavily in favour of Dortmund. But I genuinely cannot shake the feeling that this match is going to end in a draw. I genuinely think that Dortmund is going to draw this match.

And on the other hand, Bayern Munich is going to win the last match and if that happens, that is going to bring both Dortmund and Bayern Munich on the same points.

As Bayern Munich has a better goal difference compared to Dortmund they are going to be the winner of the Bundesliga title. I mean we have seen a lot of drama in this season of Bundesliga. So this is not going to be an outcome that is entirely impossible, to be honest.
988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 23, 2023, 09:39:12 AM
The whole problem stems from Todd Boehly, he is clueless about football, he ought to have just bought the club and allowed those who are more professional to the run the affairs of the team, but for no reason he fires Tuchel, appoints Graham Potter, took so long to fire Potter because he didn't want people to point fingers at him for being clueless, eventually sacked him and hired Lampard who had an horrendous run in Everton before he was sacked. The only good thing about the Todd's era is that they have now signed Pochettino, he is a good manager, he isn't going to win the EPL anytime soon, but he will bring Chelsea back to a position that is respectable.
Starting from Graham Potter who was able to lift his first team, Brighton was able to compete to be tight, so Todd Boehly fired Tuchel suddenly, then appointed Potter as his replacement, but it was all not as smooth as expected and Chelsea failed to bring Potter as team manager until finally Chelsea down.

Even after being fired, Chelsea didn't appoint a better coach, instead choosing Lampard, who was still relatively inexperienced at Everton and even at Chelsea before, why did the management trust him so much again?

Pochettino is getting closer but there is other news where several candidates have also appeared on the radar for Chelsea but it is very likely that Pochettino will be the priority.

Pochettino is probably the best option among all the options that Chelsea has right now. And to be honest, Chelsea does not have very good options right now. Nobody is currently very keen to work with Chelsea. Probably everyone is thinking that if this team cannot perform well with the squad that they have right now which is certainly good the team is not going to work even with a good coach.

And it is absolute that whoever takes the job of managing Chelsea is going to have a lot of expectations to meet. So Chelsea will probably not find better options, to be honest.

Cricket is like a tradition in both countries. Both of them want to have the upper hand on the other when it comes to cricket. No other sports are so popular in these countries. And as I said people are crazy about cricket. They think cricket is the way to prove which team is superior.
Actually, it is a way to decide which country is superior in the mind of the people. We all know India has the upper hand in decision making in cricket compared to Pakistan. In order to reach that position, India has put in a lot of work. If Pakistan had good political leadership and did not have the problem of all presidents not being able to full fill the full quota of his reign I think Pakistan could have had political stability and also could have improved a lot just like India.
I don't think people of both the countries have got a mentality thinking a win in cricket is superior to the other. Maybe this mentality could've been there in the past. Now things were different, people are much open. As in the above post it is like a tradition, the game have got into each and everyone. Whether they play or not, everyone knows about Sachin Tendulkar. Even if there is nothing to talk, they'll start like no one can be same as Sachin Tendulkar. This is how cricket is within the two countries. In recent years the media to increase its viewers used to give hype with more promotional statements that shows one superior to the other.

Well, that is actually true. The media is certainly over exaggerating everything to get views. And most of the news we get are from the media. So, it is almost always easy to get misled by the media. I am sure that there is actually not much had between both of the countries, especially the people. It is actually the politician who are trying to fuel the hatred between the countries and trying to keep the people busy with these problems.

Anyway, the hatred has certainly gone down as people have started realizing that it is just not helpful for the average person.
990  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 22, 2023, 06:09:05 PM
Cricket is certainly not as big as football. So the ICC cannot take the same steps as FIFA to allocate the money. If they just give the money based on performance of course the smaller teams are not going to survive. They just cannot charge the team which has been playing cricket for a long time and the team which has just started on the same pedestal.
I think there should be a bare minimum amount that has to be given to a country. I think the problem is going to be fixed if they just stop giving so much money to the teams which are made out of foreign players and give them to the teams with native players.
None of the other sports do have this lop sided revenue distribution model. In cricket, the top 12 teams receive 89% of all the revenue and the remaining 100 plus countries receive 11%. And then the new formula favors teams that don't have any native players in their squad, such as the United Arab Emirates and the United States of America. ICC's revenue distribution model ensures that poor teams remain poor, and the rich ones get even more richer. And another drawback is that there is no promotion-relegation system among the top-12.

I know why this is happening. This is happening because ICC is not in control of what goes on in cricket. Whatever the big 4 want to do they do it and ICC does not say anything about that. The ICC is being able to operate freely I don't think anything is going to change.

And of course, the big teams who are running things will try to keep things in their favor. As the top 4 is running things they are going to make sure that they get most of the revenue that is being generated. And they have also made sure that they put down a model which shows that they are making the most amount of money and that's why they also deserve the most amount of money. So, right now we cannot say that what is happening in cricket is right and at the same time will also cannot say that it is wrong.
991  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Budget For Halving on: May 22, 2023, 03:42:59 AM
I don't know if it is a good or bad plan, but each person probably has his plan and think everything, even for the risk he has calculated and predicted what will happen. From what you have said, you are used to making good plans. If you feel you can do it, you can try it, see the short-term results, and evaluate it to see how far your plan has gone. If your plan doesn't go how you want, you must know what to do so the loan money won't go to waste.
indeed everyone in business has a different strategy as well as investing in btc, of course everyone has a different strategy.

but if the op is ready with the risk, I think buying bitcoin using borrowed money is not wrong because indeed in business it requires sacrifice and struggle.

but in my opinion the op must also take into account the investment risk from borrowed money.

but personally I don't dare to invest from loans because the price of btc fluctuates so we won't know the price of btc during the halving, but I hope that during the halving of btc the price of btc go up high.
Sometimes I can't understand why people want to take risks that may seem like very big. But we also can't suggest more if they stick with their decision and can only suggest being careful and being able to prepare the money to pay off the loan when it's due. It's better for us to play it safe by not borrowing money to invest in bitcoin because if we can't pay, we will be forced to sell the bitcoin to pay for the loan. And if that happens, we won't be able to gain any benefits. And this is what we will regret.

Not only with bitcoin, borrowing money to invest, especially a large amount is never advisable as we never know what will happen in the future. But I also agree with the idea that success requires taking risks and trade-offs. As long as we have a plan for the worst-case scenario and we can handle them if it happens, borrowing money is not as taboo as many people fear. But if we borrow money to invest without a plan and only invest according to our feelings or imitate someone, then stop that stupid act immediately.
Depending on the situation and ability of each person, each person will have different choices, do not look at others and think that you are the same.
992  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is money ruling the world? on: May 22, 2023, 03:30:35 AM
It's true that money does have enormous power, even money can destroy good relationships, even if it's a virgin relationship, money can change a person's character, money can buy happiness and can destroy that happiness too

Money can do so many things to an individual but I can't say money can buy happiness because you can't have money and have peace of mind (the happiness can't be there 100%) if your mind is troubled then where's the happiness?
With relationship it has to do with the person in question, greed has a big roll to play on that, we still have people that money can't change so if a guy/girl changes in a relationship because of money is because the person wants to.
Money is the root of all evil, it depends on how you get it or use it.

I believe that money can buy everything in today's society, including happiness and health, which many people always say is more valuable than money. I don't believe a girl will love you and marry you if you don't have money, and she will leave a man who is more stable and richer than you. Have you seen how rich people live? They eat clean, nutritious food, get regular health checkups...they live long and healthy lives. In this case, they are clearly spending money on health. Right? Money can buy these two precious things. It is true, but many people do not want to believe and accept that fact. Society is very pragmatic, and we cannot live in illusions forever, we need to update and adapt everything.

Anyway, I think we all know that people of both these countries are actually very crazy when it comes to cricket. So it will be better for the ICC to let the situation get stable a little.
The problem everyone see is that the BCCI has an upper hand in the decisions of ICC. Personally i am not happy that politicians are interfering in sports and that should be independent from any sporting events but that is not the case with Cricket even though there are no restriction on other sporting events between India and Pakistan but as you mentioned Cricket is the most followed sport in both countries and hence the hype.

Cricket is like a tradition in both countries. Both of them want to have the upper hand on the other when it comes to cricket. No other sports are so popular in these countries. And as I said people are crazy about cricket. They think cricket is the way to prove which team is superior.

The Market that can be created or the revenue that can be generated in a Pakistan v India match is unreal. If 50 percent of that could actually be created in any other match it would have actually had a big global impact in my opinion. But the problem is that type of market is hard to generate and ICC does not have any intention of doing that as well.
I would actually like to see a better and bigger population being interested in cricket globally. The amount of supporters that Nepal gets in a match is actually very good. If all the countries got that much support from there on population cricket could have been a lot bigger sport. But the ICC does not have any headaches about that.
Any match between Pakistan and India is definitely different. There are enough reasons behind it. Being geographically adjacent countries, it is not unusual for them to have many things in common. Moreover, If review its history there would have been extreme cricket fights between these two countries. I will not take any support both of the two countries. Just think if India get 40 percent of money from total distributed amount from ICC then it must be understood that ICC earn more from India. But the rest of the other countries are not even close to it. So comparing India vs Pakistan match with other countries is irrelevant. Because if these two countries play, the entire cricket world will be shaken.

When it comes to India versus Pakistan we all know that a great battle is going to take place. Both of the countries actually got separated from each other but to be honest, the hatred between them is still there. And the hatred is often fuelled by the media and the politicians of both countries.

Of course, the countries and the general people of these countries are not going to go to war against each other. So they really want their cricket team to beat the other. And whoever is the winning team in this match is going to call for a celebration in that certain country.

Anyway, I think we all know that people of both these countries are actually very crazy when it comes to cricket. So it will be better for the ICC to let the situation get stable a little.

PSL is giving good revenue to PCB with every passing year. I don't think there is any comparison of IPL with any other league in the world. PCB claims that every PSL is giving them more profit compared to the last one but still it wont go anyway near to IPL. India is getting major portion of ICC funds because BCCI is the where funds for ICC comes from. I support PCB stance that ICC must clarify how these funds are distributed.
PSL is not good in terms of sustainability in long run because of current situation in Pakistan things can go in wrong way anytime which could be not ideal as well so just because of this Sethi is giving statements like these if Pakistan have better situation then surely they never need any series or any things like this which involved India as well.
Recently we have too much criticism against Sethi about his statement as he wants to play against India because right now things are not favorable for this all so just because of this many are against him and his statement, but due to current political instability things are not going to on normal with this all most chances we will not have Asia Cup in this year even on neutral venue.

Probably it is actually not going to be a bad idea if the Asia Cup is actually postponed. After all India and Pakistan are the best two teams in the Asia Cup. If these two cannot come to a solution together I don't think it is going to be a good idea to get into the Asia Cup.

I fear that Pakistan might actually want to not play the Asia Cup if it is not held in Pakistan. That is certainly going to cost the ICC a lot of money. Because India versus Pakistan is a very big revenue generator for them. So, I believe they should postpone the Asia Cup and once there is stability again they should arrange the Asia Cup.

Question: for about a year or more, here many have voiced an interesting idea - bitcoin will save the economies of countries that have a problem. The idea boiled down to the fact that cryptocurrency is a panacea and a solution to problems. The main thing to do is to give up the dollar, introduce bitcoin as a means of payment - and that's it, the problems go away!
The question itself is why Argentina does not take advantage of this unique and high-quality solution? Points for and against ? Smiley

I'm a bitcoin investor, and it's undeniably good on a personal level, as I said above. But I am not a bitcoin fanatic or a bitcoin maximalist, and consider it divine. So I really doubt the adoption of bitcoin to solve the problem of inflation at the national level. Every country has an economist, and I don't think they are so ignorant that they don't know about bitcoin. But they have never opted for bitcoin, so they must have their reasons.
I've been waiting for someone with a solid knowledge of economics to answer this question. But it's been a day, I don't see many people discussing this, including bitcoin maximalists Grin Grin.

Not only FIFA but now all sports have become a source of money making. Many people depend their livelihood through sports. Betting site is one of them, thousands of gamblers have chosen various games as their main profession to earn money. Each game has more or less trading options. However, due to the introduction of business in sports and the exchange of money, almost all sports are affected by corruption
In last two decades we have the biggest changes which are creating good chances for the players and organizers to have huge profit with in this all media is doing the best thing new technology introducing and many other industries are also involved are bringing more money but sadly in cricket we are not having things like we have in other sports because they have strong markets and also creating level in all departments but here in cricket we have big power of 4 countries which are controlling all and not allowing others to have better things which are not good if we have same attitude from the these big 4 then surely we will have decline in progress because many countries will be not able to run their system, and they will stop playing we need positive mindset and revolutionary changes.

The Market that can be created or the revenue that can be generated in a Pakistan v India match is unreal. Sassuolo failed to beat Monza in this match, even though Sassuolo won at half time with a score of 1-0 but unfortunately, it seems that Sassuolo lowered the intensity of the pressure and attacks in the second half. This allowed Monza to have many opportunities to apply pressure as well, and Monza proved it by scoring two goals in the second half.

With results like these, Sassuolo cannot beat Monza this season, because their first match or meeting this season only ended in a draw. So yes, Monza deserves to finish in the top ten because Monza is one of the promoted teams that has had quite good performance and consistency in its first season in Serie A.

Sassuolo had some great chances in the first half. It was their fault that they could not actually capitalize on those. And the only time they had scored is from a penalty kick.

I have to say in that match Monza played really well. They had done very well to make a comeback and get 3 points from this match. Monza continue their unbeaten streak. Sassuolo had a good chance to beat Monza. But they have made it hard for themselves when there was a red card and it was very close for almost the last 30 minutes of the match in favour of Monza.

PCB is the only board that tries to get some answers. The distribution is fair, and most have got good increase in the allocation. This could help with the improvement. However the difference between what India received against the other teams is really big. PCB had delayed its PSL, maybe if they've started it earlier they could've got good revenue by now. Because in terms of cricket supporters we were able to see a good number in Pakistan.
IMO, the revenue allocation should have been purely based on performance in ICC tournaments (this is what other sports bodies such as the FIFA does). This would have given a higher share to teams such as Australia and lower share for the BCCI. The logic of allocating 39% of all the funds to one country doesn't make sense. In the long term, this will ensure the death of cricket in most of the countries outside South Asia. Already we are witnessing the signs in South Africa, West Indies and associate nations such as Netherlands.

Cricket is certainly not as big as football. So the ICC cannot take the same steps as FIFA to allocate the money. If they just give the money based on performance of course the smaller teams are not going to survive. If you have a stable source of income and could even manage to set aside some for savings, you are better off than many others. I guess your challenge is how to manage your savings well, what to do with it. Will you keep it in the banks and continue to lose value? Will you invest it? Where?

In my country, the 2022 data say that more people are feeling poor. The numbers are rather high, more than 50% in many regions. So I assume the situation is getting worse. I myself feel it, too. Even as basic a spice as onion; it's getting too expensive.
Instead of keeping it in the bank, it is better for him to invest his money in bitcoins so he can get better returns instead of keeping it in the bank. But even if he doesn't invest in Bitcoin, he has to manage his money well so it isn't used for meaningless things.

I think the situation in our country will be different and we will try to manage the money we get so that we can save some money for the future. And even though we find it difficult, we still have to have a savings account in case of an urgent situation.

I also feel the same way as them, but I'm trying to save a few dollars in Bitcoin and savings even though I know it won't give much interest, I can withdraw the money for urgent needs instead of selling my Bitcoins first.

But is it really a perfect solution when we put all the money in bitcoin? Bitcoin is still a risky asset, don't forget high return comes with high risk, and don't tell me bitcoin has low risk and high return.

If I were OP, I would just put a portion of the money in bitcoin, and that would be money I wouldn't use for a long time. The rest I will buy gold because gold is stable and does not depreciate due to inflation and is also easy to convert to fiat if I need the money to use it. If we do not want to invest, then buy any asset with stable value, we should limit depositing money in the bank because inflation will eat away our money.
