1301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 03, 2023, 07:22:16 PM
Jorginho is going to be important in the upcoming times for Arsenal in my opinion. Because he is definitely a very experienced midfielder. That is going to come in very handy for Arsenal. Because I believe that Arsenal has lack experience, and Jorginho will be able to provide the experience that they need. Arsenal is already performing really well. I think that is why he will be able to complement his teammates very well.
At least we have to wait until he makes his debut. because this season, Jorginho has not shown very good performance when he was with Cheslea. in fact, Jorginho is just another alternative when Arsenal are at an impasse to bring in some of the young midfielders they are eyeing in the January transfer market. after all, Arsenal only signed him for 1.5 years, with an option to extend for another year.
However, we agree. at least Jorginho has a lot of experience that can help the Gunners' young squad. Jorginho is an intelligent player, has a lot of skills and experience which can be useful for his new team. I hope Jorginho can immediately adapt to the Gunners team, and help Arsenal realize their mission of winning a trophy this season.

Well, another thing is I believe Arsenal is going to find Jorginho to be the next regular penalty-taker. I honestly do not know what is the stats with him currently taking penalties. But I still remember the special jumping technique that he used to fake the goalkeepers while taking penalties.

That needs to be proven before we can say whether jorginho will be very important in arsenal or not. I guess that if potter has been making the right decision by letting him go to the arsenal. Chelsea will not be extending his transfer and he will be leaving with free transfer status in next transfer season. Jorginho has a chance to continue his career. he was a good guy. Arsenal has been performing so well now. I think that jorginho will make the midfielder of arsenal even better than before.
Let's see how good he will be playing for arsenal. Arsenal already known as the strongest candidate to win EPL this season.

I think everyone is expecting him to be useful for Arsenal. But at the same time, I think it is going to be a little foolish to expect too much from him. Because after all, he is a little old right now. And it is not going to be realistic to expect him to dictate everything in the field.
1302  Economy / Economics / Re: I have resolved into buying more and caring less on: February 03, 2023, 09:30:26 AM
Well, if your aim is profit, your method will be less profitable and riskier than someone who buys & sell at the right time. Combine that with the ability to properly predict the market and move it to any direction you want, profit will be unbelievably high. I will choose the method that gives me better profit with risk that is next to nothing.
Your method not sustainable by the way

I've never seen anyone claim to have a method that turns risk close to zero, if you can do that, I think you were already a billionaire long ago and don't have much time left to visit the forum. Cryptocurrencies are considered the riskiest market, and with what I've been through over the years in the market, I'm pretty sure there isn't a single person who doesn't lose money in this market. But experienced investors will have a larger profit to compensate for that loss. By the way, I like OP's method, I found it worked for me too.
1303  Economy / Economics / Re: Has the popularity of bitcoins reduced interest of people in stocks? on: February 03, 2023, 09:19:03 AM
Which source is saying Bitcoin reduce stock popularity?

You can check on this site [1] to see the all time graph of S&P 500, you will see the price is still steady increase and not keep decreasing, which mean many people are still invest in stock. Not all people have knowledge and understand about Bitcoin, because they think Bitcoin is not secure since it's digital and doesn't have any insurance. That's why those people are prefer to invest in stock.

[1] https://www.marketwatch.com/investing/index/spx

Right here in my country, my friends are investing more in stocks than in bitcoin. Simply because investing in bitcoin is riskier, plus it's volatile, investing in bitcoin is not recognized and protected by law. In contrast, stocks have the management and control of the law, so securities trading will be safer. Volatility is also a big obstacle, many people don't like roller coasters. In my opinion, cryptocurrency will not be able to surpass the popularity of securities because of the problem of risk that it brings.

Jorginho Will be an important player in the Arteta squad, he's well respected playmaker and a champion league winner in the squad. Jorginho Will  bring in his experience in to the team. It's really a great signing for Arsenal.
Just as Manchester United took Sabitzer from Bayern Munich on loan, is a good midfielder  to replace injured Ericksen  till the end of the season. If he perform well this season, Ten Tag might sign him , everything wants to build a fordable team, and quality players determine

1305  Economy / Economics / Re: Monthly or weekly pay? Fixed or percentage earning? what is your prefrence. on: February 02, 2023, 12:29:45 PM

If employers put out the option before you to either to be paid weekly or monthly for your job, which will you prefer? Please give reasons asides the ones I have stated to support your answer.
Honestly, I hardly care about the salary that will be paid weekly or monthly. What I care about is how much they pay me when I work with them, and the payment cannot be delayed. Receiving a weekly or monthly salary, it is not so important because we will have appropriate adjustments and plans.

Would you prefer to be a contract staff for a company that is being paid a certain percentage for every job delivered, or would you prefer a job with a fixed monthly or weekly income? (Give a reason for your answer aside the reason that will be stated)

I prefer working with a fixed monthly salary rather than a commission-based one. Because I like a job that is not too stressful and has a stable income so that I have more time to look for other opportunities for myself, such as investment.
1306  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin inflation wilder than fiat? on: February 02, 2023, 12:14:41 PM
-cut-
Like fiat, who would have thought be popular than gold?.
the gold standard was abolished since 1934 and changed to the fiat standard now, but we know fiat is just paper that doesn't have value if there is no government judgment, some smart people understand that and begin to accumulate bitcoins on the safe box because they know fiat standard will die soon like old brother, gold.
Fiat money has nothing to do with bitcoin, they have whole different purpose to exist. They are not in competition with each other so bitcoin won't be killing fiat standard nor it can replace it because bitcoin doesn't serve the same purpose. If old fiat standard gets killed it's because it has transformed to something more efficient.

Neither bitcoin is competing with gold. Saying that gold would die doesn't mean anything. Where does it go? Will we get rid of it and shoot it to space or something?

Please be more specific when you make such claims.

What he is saying is just his misconceptions and without any proof for his claims. Even if bitcoin competes with fiat or gold, bitcoin will never be able to replace fiat, no government organization will do that except in countries with bad economies.

Although bitcoin is deflationary, it has so far been suitable only as a speculative asset. Many say that only bitcoin can reduce inflation, but look at what the Fed is doing, US inflation is falling without bitcoin.

Our economy is thousands of years old, and bitcoin is only 14 years old; bitcoin is outstanding because it gives us huge opportunities that no other asset can give us. But it can't replace fiat or gold, it's a fact we shouldn't run away from.
1307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 02, 2023, 09:54:50 AM
Thomas partey has been  part of the team, and there's no way jorginho Will replace him immediately, I think Arteta has a lot of decision to make in the team starting up.
Jorginho was brought in to help ease the workload off Thomas Partey in the Midfield. The number of times that Sambi Lokonga has been tried, he has proved not yet worthy to share the load with Partey which Elneny was doing. With Jorginho we now have an experienced midfielder that can be depended on in the case that Partey cannot play, or he is removed from a game, or a game where we need our midfield to be solid, the coach can play both of them as said already. My biggest hope however for him is that he adapts well to the club.
We have really spent less this Transfer season, but made good signings in some key positions. We got Trossard for 21million Euros, Kiwior for 17million euros and Jorginho for just 12million Euros, just a total of 50million Euros. We have done good business again.
I won’t lie, I wasn’t expecting him to sign for Arsenal, it’s better to sign someone than bringing no one, Jorginho is an experienced, proven player who’s going to bring something in the dressing room and on pitch. He is an addiction to the team and not necessarily Partey’s replacement. Arteta has always lauded the importance of getting another midfielder before the window closes because Mo Elneny is out injured while Sambi Lokonga hasn’t been performing really well in that role. Arsenal need some experienced legs to sail through the remaining part of the season.

Jorginho is not as good as he was before. But he can certainly play. I think he is actually going to be useful for Arsenal. I am quite sure that Arsenal is not going to expect something extraordinary from him. And I also think that experience is going to come in handy in the case of Jorginho.

Arsenal is heavily relying on good playmakers. They are making important plays from the midfield. The midfielders are also supplying good balls to the attackers. And that's where I think the experience of Jorginho is going to come into play a lot.
1308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 31, 2023, 08:25:21 AM
I think the funding for all the associate nations is going to decrease because India is asking for almost 80%. And if that happens, I think ICC will have no option but to actually figure out which cricket boards are poor and actually need the money more.
Ha! hearing this first time.

No one in BCCI or their granny asked for 80% share at all, ever. According to records BCCI only get 18-22% (depending on taxes) from ICC funds and they contribute approx 70-80% of revenue, this could surpass in the upcoming cycle, once ICC discloses their media rights numbers.

Actually, I wanted to talk about BCCI making money, not taking money. I wanted to say that they make about 80% of the money. And so they are obviously probably going to ask for a bigger percentage (which is now 22.8% if I am not wrong) and that is going to mean less money for the associate nations. And I am not saying that India should not ask for that money. They are of course making ICC more revenue. So they should get more money in return for that as well.

What I really wanted to emphasize is that the ICC should really look into the situation of each cricket board and give them money accordingly.

But with that, there also comes a point where ICC might actually fail to realize or find out how much money a cricket board has. Because of course, there are corrupt officials and members everywhere.
1309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 30, 2023, 06:05:38 PM
Cricket is getting more and more business yet the level of associate nations is not improving thats because ICC is giving huge money to big boards who already have huge funds. Countries like Nepal, Afghanistan need more of ICC funding since they are not much rich and yet they have passion for cricket. ICC is developing already developed boards.
Sometimes only funds cannot develop the game. You need passion in yourself to develop the system and game as well. There are other rich countries as well who don't play cricket on international level. Take USA For example, They play cricket but do you know their ranking? I believe you don't know. So, Only money cannot build the cricket. About afghanistand and Nepal, Yes. Those country deserve more attention from the ICC.
Only finance will not develop cricket at the same time it is impossible without finance. Some countries may even remove their names from cricket if ICC stops paying. At present only a few countries are involved in cricket. Stopping funding for some countries could also reduce interest in the cricket as well as local people can focus on other things instead of cricket. In this regard ICC should carefully observe which countries should increase money and which should decrease. The ICC should re-evaluate or review these matters from an impartial view.

I think there is a big misconception of equality in ICC about distributing funds. Equal distribution of funds between the associate nations is never going to be a good idea. Because they are a lot of cricket boards which are quite rich and also there are a lot of cricket boards which are very poor. So it is never going to be a good idea to distribute the fun equally between the associate nations. There is obviously new funding going to happen for the associate nations. I think the funding for all the associate nations is going to decrease because India is asking for almost 80%. And if that happens, I think ICC will have no option but to actually figure out which cricket boards are poor and actually need the money more.

India Cricket Women Team vs West Indies Cricket Women Team in 6th T20I match. The West Indies women's team did not play well in a single match in the tri-nation T20 series. In today's match too, West Indies women's team scored a very small score. Looking at the game, it is clear that the West Indies women's team is losing to the India women's team in today's match as well.
India did the best in this Womens T20I Tri-Series in South Africa, India Women's Team get the top position of the point table, the 2nd position is the South African team and the West Indies women's team is the bottom in the printable. The India Women's Team has won 3 out of 4 and South Africa has 2 wins and 2 loses, but there is no win for West Indies woman team. The India Women's Team and the South Africa Women's Team will take part in the final at 2 February.

This was of course a very easy win for the Indian women. I feel like West Indies women will have to improve a lot to actually get even close to the level of Indian women. It was 80-20 match and the Indian women's team won the match with 37 balls left. That's more than 6 overs. It does seem like it is going to be a final between the Indian women's team and the South African women's team. And even in that match, I will say India is going to win quite convincingly in my opinion.
1311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 30, 2023, 03:58:06 PM
If Djokovic had participated in this tournament, Tsitsipas would have been the best player. But Djokovic was unstoppable this tournament. Tsitsipas will win this tournament one more time, but he needed a lot of experience and Djokovic is probably much stronger than him mentally. And let's not forget the age difference, of course. Djokovic can play tennis for a few more years and then it will be the end of the story, just like Federer did. I'm sorry we didn't get to see Alcaraz. A final between Alcaraz and Djokovic would have been a nice sensation. Nadal seems to have too many injuries in recent years and will probably announce his retirement soon.
Yes possibly but there are other questions which remain a mystery if we remove Djokovic
from the equasion.
Would Rublev have beaten any other player to get to the final, or Paul?
If either of them got to the final because they were on Djokovic' side of the draw, would
they have beaten Tsitsipas?
What I'm asking really is, would any other player have a decent chance against Tsitsipas?
I think yes, so he may have a bigger chance of winning a final without Djokovic or Nadal
in his way but there are a number of players who can beat him

I honestly think that Paul could have been a good contender for the title if we remove Novak Djokovic from the context. But I am someone who does not like to live in a dream world. This was obviously a good performance from Novak Djokovic. And obviously, we should give him credit for that. Now if he was not in the tournament, obviously the tournament might have been a little more interesting. He is the current champion of the Australian Open.
1312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will not become the world currency. on: January 30, 2023, 05:48:10 AM
I don't totally agree about Bitcoin will not become the world currency because all digital currency regulation based on government and parliament, we can't predicting at the future when parliament filled by people enthusiast with cryptocurrency will get impact for Bitcoin become legal currency payment transaction.

Nowadays still many parliament in several countries dominance by people dislike about Bitcoin as digital currency payment, but after El Savador adopted Bitcoin as legal digital currency payment, I sure many other country will follow what did by El Savador and waiting with new and young parliament dominance in some countries to see Bitcoin become world currency payment.

Do you know why El Salvador accepts bitcoin? When they accept bitcoin, they don't have their own currency, they are having economic difficulties and the possibility of default. No one wants to help them, it can be said that they are very stuck, and bitcoin is seen as the last buoy they can use. But luck was with them when bitcoin helped them improve their economy without depending on the help of other countries.

But in great powers, they have a strong economy, their currency has value. There is no reason they accept bitcoin to break their main currency. Bitcoin becoming the world currency is really unlikely, I also believe it can't happen.
1313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Get Bitcoin Holdings for your child from infant. on: January 30, 2023, 05:36:27 AM
Diligent key clever, hmat key rich and investing in Bitcoin the key to the future.
The presence of Bitcoin is indeed a rival to banks because of the blockhain system that provides convenience in transactions. Indeed, many people still think that investing with fiat in banks will provide future guarantees for children with the benefit of interest that will be obtained every year. They don't know if investing in Bitcoin can exceed the multiplication of bank interest percentages.
For me, your plan is a good idea.

There's nothing wrong with comparing bank rates to bitcoin, but you didn't mention the risk when you put your child's future in an asset fraught with risk and uncertain future. In this case, I would suggest 50% of savings or other assets like gold and 50% of that to bitcoin. If the risk happens, we still have half, maybe gold or savings don't bring the high return, but at least it's safe and stays with us. With bitcoin, you are trading safety for profit, so consider it because it is our children's future.
50% shifted to other assets such as gold is also a good option and I consider the advice to be appropriate because gold is a fixed asset. However, please note that I am not suggesting to divert 50% to gold because the only comparison is Bitcoin with bank interest rates and I feel there is no need to mention the risks of investing in Bitcoin because obviously fiat can lose value often economic developments.

Trading safety for profit? We don't think that's the interpretation of Bitcoin investing.

Fiat depreciates, that's true, but compared to bitcoin's volatility and risk, it's still nothing and we're talking about our children's future. If we are investing in Bitcoin with money that can be lost, then there is no need to talk about risk because we are ready for it. But we're talking about our children's future, and that's money that can't be lost.

I want to know, do you have children? Because I am quite surprised that you are willing to bet your child's future on such a risky asset. I already have a baby and I won't treat my child's future like you do.
1314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 29, 2023, 07:37:18 PM
Napoli vs Roma is probably the most interesting match today... Napoli have 12 points to spare and if they draw, it won't change anything fundamentally... Roma also continue to show good football in recent games... I hope Napoli will win but I think it will be a draw... Grin
Napoli are making their mark in the league this season. They are writing their own history in the Italian Serie A League. They only had 1 loss in 19 weeks. They only lost to Inter. Admittedly, everyone sees them as already winning the league. On the other hand, Roma also have a rising performance after the World Cup. They are undefeated in their last 6 matches. There are no missing players in Napoli. Zeki Çelik in Rome will not be able to play in this match due to a card penalty. Both teams have been playing good football in recent weeks. But I think Napoli will win this match and open up the difference in points with those behind them.

Napoli versus Roma is going to start about 30 minutes from now. This is going to be a very interesting match. Of course, I believe that Napoli is going to be able to win this match. Actually, even if they do lose it is not going to be too much of a problem for them. A draw is also going to be a good result for them. But the problem is I do not think they are going to play for a draw in this match. Napoli is going to go for the win even though they are ahead in terms of points.

1316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will BTC do in event of US default on its debt? on: January 29, 2023, 09:30:21 AM
News of the US government default is always talked about every year, but I have never seen it happen. The dollar is ruling the world and the US government owns the dollar printer. How can one think of the prospect that they will default?

But assuming that happens, the world financial system will collapse then that could be an opportunity for assets like bitcoin or gold, then gold and bitcoin will become everyone's safe haven. It is impossible to imagine what the bitcoin price achieved at that time would be, but unfortunately, that can only happen in dreams Grin Grin.
1317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 28, 2023, 07:09:06 PM
England's posibility of winning yesterday's match were high but who expected that they lose in that match? In the second innings England bat against 298 runs where Jason Roy and Dawid Malan scored significantly well but other teammates failed. As a result, they had to be defeated even in an easy match. This is the first match of the series there will have two matches left so England will be desperate to keep the series alive.
Myself believed England will win the match till it was 266/7. Once England lost the wicket of Sam Curran I lost the hope, because the tail end players can't be expected to score against the bowlers of South Africa. Anrich Nortje contributed good taking 4 wickets. For England the opening is good, and the middle order didn't contribute. If the middle order had added few runs, the tail end would've taken the match towards a win as there won't be much of pressure.

Actually, I do not think anyone expected England to lose this match. And England was actually playing well. They started very well and were on the right track. But after the openers got out, they were not able to form any type of partnership. Jos Buttler tried to form a partnership and he was actually trying to resist the South African bowlers. But he had no support from the other end and that also put immense pressure on him. In the end, it was a problem of not being able to keep wickets in hand for England.
1318  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could this be the reason for the recent rise in Bitcoin price? on: January 28, 2023, 09:16:23 AM
I would like to mention Some Reasons that might be behind BTC's recent Bullish market sentiments. Recently market is trying to approach the Golden cross that might be a strong reason behind the markets current behavior as i can see more and more liquidation.

  • Chinese New Year ended on 22nd Jan
  • Because I am Bullish (Kidding)
  • US dollar Recent Developments

This is reasonable I will add some more
  • positive CPI report released on Jan. 12 by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) which showed overall inflation for all urban consumers declining by 0.1%.
  • The drop in inflation
  • cooling U.S. dollar index (DXY)

and the fact this not happen on bitcoin only gold and stock also on rising

After all, the reason I find most plausible for the price of bitcoin to rise is that the world economy is showing signs of recovery after a year of crisis. After 3 weeks of announcing a decrease in CPI, yesterday's PCE also decreased, showing signs of stronger economic recovery. And many people predict that with inflation indicators showing signs of decline, a Fed rate hike of only 0.25% is entirely possible. All news is good for the economy, so it is understandable that the entire financial market is benefiting from that.
1319  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Btc get to $12k or $10k on: January 28, 2023, 09:04:11 AM
All the callers, saying Bitcoin will get to $12k $10k or below, we haven't see $14k so far, is $15.4k the last bottom for btc or we are still going to see more dump??
The fact is now that bitcoin has risen past $20k over the past few weeks after dropping to a low in the $15k area late last year, maybe if the uptrend continues for bitcoin then I don't think bitcoin will ever fall further below $15k, let alone this year many investors will be entering the market and trying to collect bitcoin in preparation for the bitcoin halving event that will happen in 2024, so I believe this year we will not see bitcoin going down at the price you set it.

Bitcoin has been up for more than 2 weeks and still shows no signs of falling, and what you say is the hope of many people. But in the end, we still don't have evidence to say that bitcoin has bottomed out or will definitely not fall any further. Therefore, we should still be more careful, and not too subjective about our predictions.

Usually, people will rush to reinvest when there is a strong bullish signal, but the current signal is not strong enough to make people participate in the market more. We are still 383 days away from the halving, there is still a long way to go.
1320  Economy / Speculation / Re: What happens next if Bitcoin drops to zero? on: January 28, 2023, 08:49:36 AM
It is surprising to see that everyone does not believe that bitcoin will drop to zero or die. But anything is possible, and the value of bitcoin is created from human need, as long as people don't need it anymore, it will go to zero. But just looking at people's belief in bitcoin, I can say that the chance of bitcoin falling to zero is almost nonexistent.
In my opinion, this is a money-making playground for big players, so it's tough to let it die unless they find a more attractive game than the cryptocurrency market.
