21  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Two amazon gift cards on: October 11, 2014, 12:11:20 PM
Bump.  I also have a $200 target gift-card, if anyone wants that.

What price are you looking to get for this target card. Also can it be used in store and would you use escrow for it. The escrow would not be released until I use the card to make sure it works. If you are willing to do this I can offer it for 75% of its value so $150.
1. It can be used in store (it's a physical card).
2. I can escrow for it.

I'll have to think a bit about the $150 offer, I'll get back to you on that.

Not sure.  Is $20 fair?

Depends, how much are you selling them for and how were they obtained?
1. Not sure; feel free to post a USD or BTC offer.
2. Gifted.

Hi all,

Here are this week's payouts.

Thanks to btcton for offering some assistance with the scheme.

Have a good day.
Hey Seal,
I sent you a PM awhile ago letting you know I was dropping out of this for now.  It would be great if I could jump back in in the future, but I understand if that's not possible.

Thanks for the steady payouts!  Smiley

I suppose this is what you are looking for... What's with all that spam?
https://blockchain.info/double-spends
Nope, the one I was looking at before actually allowed you to generate one.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Double-Spending on: February 28, 2014, 10:43:30 PM
you must hack a bitcoin-QT for this ...
Yeah, that's what I was asking about.  I remember visiting a page on blockchain.info that generated double-spend attempts.  I'm just asking if it's still there or if I will need to "hack" bitcoin-QT.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Double-Spending on: February 28, 2014, 10:38:13 PM
you can't double-spend.
Sorry, I should have made that a little more clear.  I was asking about creating a double-spend attempt

Grin you're welcome.

insert coin.
Not sure what the point of this post was.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Double-Spending on: February 28, 2014, 10:31:45 PM
I have a quick question: I seem to remember a page on block chain.info that allowed you to make a double-spend attempt.  Does this still exist?
33  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why is btc.sx halting trades? on: February 26, 2014, 10:19:36 PM
I've now received complete payment from btc.sx. (others are reporting the same)
They might just be manually processing them.

Well, they are. But since they promise max 24 hours withdrawal delays and do not tell people whats going on when they're running late, some people do get understandably anxious.

I would definitely be anxious, too, considering the whole Gox situation.

35  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Some fresh CONFIRMED transactions on GOX stream on: February 24, 2014, 06:56:28 PM
I didnt follow the GOX situation so just a quick question,  isnt there any adress on blockchain that one can check to see the balance of mgtox wallet? I know there had been speculations about few BIG ammount wallets that they belong to bitstamp etc. So arent there any wallets that belonged to mgtox and they are knows... whats the balance of the wallets that might have been those of mgtox...

i belive over the years people know which wallet was the mgtox one, and i also belive that you can track the transactions, so once you know the original mgtox wallet you can track the newest one and look at it balance? Or am i missing something?
I think the issue is that there isn't just one wallet.
36  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why is btc.sx halting trades? on: February 24, 2014, 06:55:44 PM
Maybe they got hacked and lost a lot of coins making them now insolvent and thus unable to pay out?
Other possibility is of course that they ran away with all the coins.
I doubt that this is the case.  They sent out an email a few days ago:

Hello All:

BTC.sx has suspended trading to facilitate some required technical changes. We can assure all our customers that their deposits are safe, and that we will resume trading as soon as possible.
We should emphasise that our maintenance is not linked with ongoing changes at MtGox, and we hope that they resolve their own issues in a timely manner for the good of the bitcoin community.

Any questions or issues please email us.

So.  Did you do it?

C'mon man... That kind of talk is way out of line for a public forum. Put yourself in his shoes.

No worries, danieldaniel is just messing around...we go way back to the 2011 days lol.

Shit, I've been here since 2011?  What have I been doing with my life?

39  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: IRS Tax Inquiry or Audit.... on: February 23, 2014, 10:27:27 PM
If anyone has had even an inquiry about how their bitcoin was treated for US Tax purposes by the IRS or a State Tax authority - might you be willing to share in this form to help others?  If so please add to this thread your experience.

When does the IRS start audits?
