281  Economy / Lending / Re: CoinLenders Script :: Bitcoin Bank (Borrow+Deposit) Software :: Demo Available on: November 11, 2013, 09:25:15 PM
The hack was not an inside job. I find people who accuse that insulting.

The mere fact that you were using Linode is a definitive proof that it was an inside job.

It is a well known fact that virtual private servers are not secure enough to host Bitcoin wallets.

Moreover, Bitcoinica was hacked via Linode: http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/3629/what-is-the-story-behind-the-linode-problem

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=66979.0

Obviously, you knew about that, so you used Linode as a convenient disguise for an inside job.

There are two possibilities: either you're a complete moron who ignored a well-known attack, which was already demonstrated a couple of times; or it was an inside job.

Is this insulting? Well, you stole money from people, you deserve to be insulted.
Absolutely agreed. Using Linode, which has been compromised on many occasions by their own technicians, goes beyond incompetence. You really have to wonder if this hack was intentional.
I'm not wondering at all.

At least you can't see he liquidate his ASICMINER shares for now, those direct one. There SHOULD be asset there could liquidate.
See, just be patient. I know that guys have been a bit skeptic with the "thing" Tradefortress. If I were an Inputs.io depositer, I'd have be one of you. So far he had done what he claimed he should do have done. He HAVE to wait for most of the Inputs user to file their claim before Coinlenders figure out what should be claimed. If you dox him out to the government before he have a chance to sell his stash and pay us back. You are literally giving out your coin and asset held by TF to the damned government.

Just be patient, this isn't how the world works. Take a look in his profile once in a while see if he sold his stash of ASICMINER yet. It takes time.
Just like Pirate, right?  Just like MyBitcoin, right?  Just like <insert Bitcoin wallet/investment service here>, right?  Just be patient.

The inputs.io customers victims aren't getting their 4100 BTC back.  You might as well try and get him in jail while you can (and not give him more time to spend the cash that he just got).

Wow, I actually got over $11!  Thanks, Seal!

actually those are the inflated prices at mtgox. if you go to trade it to fiat in any real regulated exchange, the price is more like 269-285, so actually you got about 6 dollars. still damn good for a sig.
Ah, alright.  I just went off of what blockchain.info told me; $6 is still pretty good for nothing.

exactly man, thats 6 dollars a week for literally doin nothing.
Yup.  If I actually saved all the BTC Seal has given me (as opposed to selling it), I would have had like $50 by now.

Hmm... I'm having trouble loading up the site.  Is it just me or is it broken for everyone?
288  Economy / Services / Re: Get paid weekly for your signature on: November 11, 2013, 12:29:01 AM
Hello all, its that time again! Payday!!!

Here are this week's payouts:

Thanks for your help r3wt, I reimbursed all of the people that I short changed last week (damn rounding to 2dp).

What a crazy week yet again. The price of bitcoin almost touched $400 over at MtGox the other day. Its currently sitting at around $340 currently.

The last price adjustment was at $180. Unless the price dips to ~$250, I'll be readjusting the payouts again next week to keep my costs under control. Go bitcoin! Smiley

0.61 BTC paid out this week ~US$210
I think I asked this before, but do you actually update the spreadsheet manually?  Or does it do it automatically?

If automatically, how do you do that?

292  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] Android Tablet on: November 09, 2013, 07:24:00 PM
It's the one in this listing: http://www.amazon.com/MID_M729-Android-Cortex-1-2Ghz-Camera/dp/B009PIQFHA.

The one that I have is in pretty nice condition; aside from one or two scratches on the front, it works perfectly (and it's factory reset, so no software installed).

It includes the tablet (obviously), the charging cable, and two USB cables (one for transferring files to a computer and one for attaching a 3G dongle or any other USB device).

I'm asking 0.14 BTC for it (~$50 right now), which includes shipping to the USA with USPS priority mail.  This price will change if the price of Bitcoin goes up or down.

My terms are as follows:
1. I will provide a picture of the device powered on upon mailing (as I'm inserting it into the box).  You accept this as proof of the condition stated.
2. If there are any problems with the device upon receipt, we will go through USPS INSURANCE to get your money back (as I will have proven that the device was working upon sending).  Priority mail includes $50 of insurance.
3. I will use escrow, however: You must pay the (nonrefundable) shipping charges directly to me before I ship the device.  This is usually around $5 to $6.  In addition, you will have to agree to cover any currency fluctuation (so that when the escrow is released, I will have received the equivalent of $50).

Feel free to ask any questions in this thread, in PM, or on Freenode IRC (my nick is danieldaniel).

296  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase just scammed me for over $1000 on: November 09, 2013, 12:32:55 AM
Hello,

i feel with you, but  i dont understand how they could steal you the money. Do you mean you buyed, and left the bitcoins at your account?
How much time passed between your buy and their scam trick ?

from my expierience, avoid MT. Gox also.

greetings

Basically, he purchased bitcoin, they took his money, bitcoin increased in value dramatically, and they canceled his order.  The gain in value of bitcoin between his purchase and the cancellation is lost to him.  Presumably Coinbase actually did purchase the coins back when he placed the order and they had the cash, so they're probably making a lot of money refunding him and selling those coins to someone else today at a higher value.
No, they didn't take his money.  They probably didn't even take the money out of his bank account.

I hate to say it, but this guy IS high risk.  Adding and deleting bank accounts, making large purchases right after small one's...

Every business in the real world has fraud management.  I don't see why Coinbase shouldn't.
297  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase feedback thread on: November 07, 2013, 08:28:12 PM
Coinbase is legit.  I've never had a single problem with them, and whenever I need help, I can either send a support ticket or ask on IRC (and I get very fast responses).

There have been a few people with bad cases, but I'd imagine they get hundred's of support tickets a day.  I don't blame them for missing one or two.

Also: For the visa card verification, they only accept visa DEBIT cards, IIRC.  No credit cards.
298  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: TradeFortress stole 30 of my BTC on: November 07, 2013, 08:18:23 PM
He scammed everyone, tbh.  I sincerely doubt that this site was "hacked."

If you look back, he was saying "Oh, we can cover all of the deposits that were hacked.  Don't worry."  That was obviously an outright lie.
299  Economy / Gambling / Re: Re: Primedice | Most Popular & Trusted Bitcoin Game | Huge Community | Free BTC on: November 06, 2013, 07:47:30 PM
Before any of you think of "investing" after seeing the three happy customers , go to the original thread and read the posts.
I advise this to anyone...
I also recommend you don't send the BTC to the wrong address like this guy did!

I sent it to your bitcoin address given on your profile.
You denied receiving it and then gave me a story that you could not access it.
You have the BTC but are just going to deny access to them.

Again , do not invest in him.
The original thread had over a hundred posts , all accusing of him being a scammer / ponzi schemer, hence causing him to make a new thread.

Did you make a post in the Scam section? This guy should be labeled as a scammer.
Anyone who invests in a "professional gambling" service deserves to lose their money.
