Regardless of what Theymos is entitled to do or not do, I can tell you that my suspicion has increased, and trust decreased, with regards to Theymos as a result of inconsistent moderation, claims that he is protecting scammers, and his avoidance of this thread. I bet I'm not the only one.
Inconsistent moderation will be caught and scrutinized by others. If enough people are unhappy about it, it's just going to make your job and Thymos's job a lot more annoying. It also makes this site a target among those that are inconsistently moderated, even if a ban just means they'll create 10 sock puppet accounts just to troll you harder.
I agree with this. Theymos has the right to do whatever he wants with this forum, however: That doesn't mean he *should*. He can do it, it just makes me respect him a lot less. |

You get the exact power measurmant. For instance, a lot of sellers advertise their lasers as "5mW", but in reality, it's more like 1mW or 2mW. |

have anyone open a dispute yet on paypal? i sent him $400 via paypal gift over a month ago. it is still under paypal refund policy 45 days. i am not sure what are my success rate on it if i open a charge. can anyone please guide me?
"GIFT" is the key word. The favorite Paypal scam tool. No disputes. No, you can dispute a gift: You just dispute it with your credit card company, not paypal. Correct. I was referring to PP here. Yes. You can say it was "unauthorized" with paypal, even if it was a gift. Although, that does technically count as fraud. Not sure how far you guys want to go to get your money. |

I'm filling out the small claims forms now... If he doesn't come on in the next few days, I'm going to start the procedure (verifying his address, having the paper delivered)... I really hope he doesn't turn out to be a scammer.
I'd like to go that route as well. Can someone PM me the personal details, please? I've filled out every part of the form except for his address... I'm waiting on John for that information. It's probably easier for me than for you, though, as I'm in the same state as him. It's literally one form (you don't even need a lawyer). |

To be honest, I really don't think John should release the information... That can't lead to anything good.
Maybe release it to people who actually have a reason to take it? I mean, I live in the same state as him (CT), so I might start a small claims case against him...
