Would you accept $240?
862  Economy / Computer hardware / Looking to trade USB miner for FPGA's on: June 19, 2013, 09:31:41 PM
I currently have a USB ASIC miner (the 336mh/s).  I want to trade it for an FPGA with a higher hashrate.  The ASIC costs about $3 a year to run.

If anyone is interested in this, please post in here or PM me!

Currently in a hospital with heart complications (which I will prove). Communication from me for the next few days may be very sparse.
I hope you get better!

867  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help us review Daniel's Lecture on: June 18, 2013, 10:49:17 PM
Slow down the delivery a bit. You're under three minutes. You have a pretty big window of time. Could you also show us how to generate an address with the mentioned software.
Ok.  I tend to talk very fast.  I can talk a bit slower for the PPT, and then add generating the address at the end.  You think that would work?

6:41pm] rumpler: danieldaniel: I think your explanation of split-key addresses was a little off. You say that you only send them your public key and they don't have the private, but you don't mention that this is a totally unrelated pub/privkey from Bitcoin addresses.

Quoted from IRC.

EDIT: Although, I don't think he's right.  See https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Split-key_vanity_address.  It says that the priv keys are merged.

6:47pm] rumpler: Oh, I see what it is. Thanks, danieldaniel
870  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB 1 USB BLOCK ERUPTER 1.5 BTC You ship first or escrow on: June 18, 2013, 10:08:56 PM
Uh... Why would someone do this when they had to pay at least 1.99BTC in the FIRST place?
871  Economy / Goods / [WTS] One HAM radio (HT, wide-band receiver + tri-band tx) on: June 18, 2013, 09:49:03 PM
I'm selling an IC-T90A.  You can find the product info at http://icomamerica.com/en/products/amateur/handheld/t90a/default.aspx and http://www.eham.net/reviews/detail/2643.

It's in pretty good condition, with the exception of one key that fell out.  It's the decimal point, which is not really needed: You can type in the freq. and it'll automatically insert that for you.

It's a pretty good radio for someone just getting started with amateur radio.  It's a relatively cheap one, and it's really durable.

The MSRP is about $320, but I'm obviously not looking for that much.  Please post questions/offers in this thread.

Some key features:
-Great receiver!  495kHz to 999.990MHz*
-5W transmit power, great for getting local repeaters... You might even be able to work some satellites on a nice day.
-Transmits on 6M, 2M, and 440MHz**
-DTCS and CTCSS encode and decode capability***
-Scanning modes: You can use this as a scanner, as well.
-PC Programmable

Pictures: http://grab.by/nFq2 and http://grab.by/nFq4

*Exception of some illegal bands, such as the cell bands.
**See the ARRL band chart for more information on exact frequencies: http://www.arrl.org/files/file/Hambands_color.pdf.
***This is in order to encode transmits, so that only people with the CTCSS code you set can hear you.  It's not encryption, though.
872  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] BFL FPGA with 1300 Mhash/s on: June 16, 2013, 08:12:14 PM
In response to starsoccer, it's around that price for ASIC's, which take 1/10000000 (exaggeration) of the power than FPGA's.  The thing with this is that they cost like <$10 a year for 1.3GH's.  This'll probably cost $60-$70, if not more.

And, in addition to this, the diff is probably going to go to 100+ million by the end of this year.  At that point, you're going to make less than 0.01 BTC a day.

877  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 2.5mh 4x 7950 Rig on: June 15, 2013, 06:21:00 PM
Is this mining Litecoin or Bitcoin?
878  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Trading BFL FPGA single for 2-3 USB block eruptors on: June 15, 2013, 06:19:03 PM
The problem with this, IMO, is that in a few years the ASIC's will still be profitable to mine on (They take less than $3 a year), and the FPGA's won't.

I would give you one for this at most, but someone else might do more.  It's just not worth it for me.
879  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I got 5btc for sale... for PAYPAL GIFT on: June 11, 2013, 08:39:01 PM
I'll buy one for $95.
880  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Gave a scammer some nice tips. Also, don't trade with ironcross360 on: June 11, 2013, 10:44:10 AM
I see no evidence that ironcross is a scammer.  I find his constant, "I'll do anything for BTC" threads annoying at best and borderline spam at worst, but that's about it.  Ironcross, you would do yourself a lot of good if you started focusing more of your energy contributing to the board rather than constantly peddling everything under the sun for BTC.

He is, got me for 4.02 BTC

I thought my Mt. Gox account was comprimised, it wasn't, I traced it back to a "Hero" member her on Bitcoin Forum, I still have not heard a word back from this Forum admin regarding the theft. I just received a free Yubikey coupon from Mt. Gox, even though it wasn't their fault.

The member who stole my BTC is still here and getting more and more BTC everyday, and even posts here that nobody will help anyone who gets their bitcoin taken in the USA. My BTC is in Germany now. Like I said Bitcoin Forum admin are ignoring me, as is bitcoinwallet.in. I am not going to mention who it is that has taken it, as I am pretty sure it is a group of people, dealing in the XRP (Ripple) Forum. Get free XRP, people want to 'buy' your XRP with BTC, then they get access to your account and empty out your wallet. I have reported this to the proper people and it is up to them if they want to allow crypto to continue to allow criminals to plunder at will, as for me, I am done with crypto currency due to this. Life is too short to constantly worry about getting ripped off, and that is how it will be as long as there is no recourse for being the victim of crime. If anyone can help me get my BTC back, I would appreciate it. My email is gbrandyngarcia@gmail.com , if you can return my 4.02 BTC, please deposit into my Mt. Gox Account: M87178081X
Here is the Bitcoin Wallet address from where it was stolen, 1Vkaz6jgQkbLuGT72ewkwhYkf5nsmcSMJ it is not hard to find figure out, 4.02 deposit, 4.02 sent(Not by me).

I am a nice person, and nice people finish last, time is on my side and I know I will finish.

Bummed out in Paradise,

The US Government does not acknowledge the presence of bitcoins... They would probably help you if someone robbed you in person or hacked you...
i assume that he made a typo and meant to say "wouldn't".  If he did, that's extremely naive.  Do you really think that the government has sent out an order to every police officer in every jurisdiction telling them to ignore anything about someone being robbed for Bitcoins?

If so, that's what is known as EXTREME paranoia.
