I can't get it sync since 2-3 months. Seems that only people with more than one higher educations can get it fully synchronized. Still waiting for fix +100 Same problem.Waiting to sync since two months.(Tried to sync from scratch thinking wallet had some problem two months ago but never succeeded syncing till then) Goes 500 blocks & then stops for almost an hour before downloading another 500 & it just repeats. I do hope you have the proper .conf file.

Hey thanks for the new nodes. All synced up and staking again. Excellent!!! And yes I agree with your last post.
If we could find a dev interested in this then we would be back again. I know biomech has interest in this coin too, but his experience/skills are limited like mine.

Fuck my wallet won't sync now. I guess nodes are dead and thus this coin. A terrible shame!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, well just spent hours upon hours of looking into it & the wallet will sync (with good nodes). It does appear to have more than one chain, seeing the blocks jump can only mean that someone is mining on another chain/fork I would say that someone with a little more experience will have to look @ it, good thing there's no exchange Also not sure if they're able to merge it with this chain @ any point in time, really good thing there's no exchange! .gitattributes # Custom for Visual Studio *.cs diff=csharp *.sln merge=union *.csproj merge=union *.vbproj merge=union *.fsproj merge=union *.dbproj merge=union **Updated the nodes in the revision of the optional OP** Fuck my wallet won't sync now. I guess nodes are dead and thus this coin. A terrible shame!!!!!!!!!!!
~~Let's use the term broken or in need of repair, not DEAD & then crypto can be something worth the change ~~ Didn't mean to sound so harsh, just pissed that such a great coin (syncs awesome, wallet is fantastic, etc.) won't sync for me. Been trying to get it to sync so I can stake to keep chain moving. I wish I had the skills needed to help this out, but I don't. Thanks for updating nodes. Will add to my conf file.

I would need a wallet.dat file before you deleted everything or what that address was. Once you download a new wallet you get a new address. I need your original address and that wallet.dat file. Hopefully you have these. Please PM me. Thanks.

OPAL could still roll back. I think everyone is being too critical about a roll back. This coin is in it's infancy, If you are an investor and could catch a thief then all parties involved should be for a roll back since the coin was not bought outright and will crash along the way since it leads to PnD behavior in the markets. Everyone forgets that even 800K coins is about as much as it cost to get into the SuperNET, why pay thieves off or have that looming out there.
Can't we have the exchanges investigate the dumps that occurred? There was never any dumps like it so we all know that is the hacker if it came from one account and can be verified. An event on this scale is different than a few people getting some coins stolen. This was an attack on the community through this board. People were tricked and the authorities should get involved. People pay real money for these coins, if you want them to keep investing real money then there must be better safeguards and consequences for hackers.
I wonder if Opal could track the address that the coin was sent to and black list it on the exchanges and any subsequent coin sent from that wallet to any other address gets isolated. Is this possible, or too Centralized for everyone to agree with? It would be great if stolen coin could be blocked for good or recovered as soon as it hit the exchanges. Something like this has to be possible!
At least one of the exchanges I know of will NOT honor a roll back. (It starts with a 'C') What does that mean? Instant de-listing. In this case, I am NOT pro-roll back.. this was due to the idiocy of many, and not just 1. Opal is now long play... probably, VERY long. Good, long play is what was planned all along so be happy! Would you rather get all the bs outta the way at 2500 or when it is 100k??? Thats the problem, there will be no 10,20,50,100K untill those coins are sold, or a majority. You know as well as I, stagnant funds, dont grow. True, true, however as he/she is a scam artist, I do not believe he/she will wait to dump (they want a quick buck) so within the next few weeks I expect/hope all of the stolen coins to be unloaded. Maybe and just maybe they will hold some for later but highly doubtful. I do think that this will pass in a few weeks and then OPAL will get back on track IMO. Time will tell though.

Devs, all I can say is spectacular! You guys have run this coin the way a coin should be run. After this mess anyone who doubts the OPAL team is the best is obviously an idiot. Thank you!!!!

Yes, some exchanges are still trading. Please have them freeze all trading to fuck this idiot. Do a rollback and make things right. There will be btc lost as he prolly sold some already but definitely not 2.5 mill worth yet. Let's show this fuck that we will not stand for this.
|

Do we have any idea how many coins this person had stolen? With one member saying he lost 100,000, I assume the number is quite a bit higher. In which case I agree you can't have a criminal like that in control of a large percentage of OPAL.
2.5 million Yes, do a rollback and fuck this dickhead outta his scam.
|
|
|
But if wallet was encrypted then what can he do with it??? As long as you have a backup of your wallet.dat file then you should be ok, right??? OR am I missing something here?
Also if anyone would like to sell their OPAL then please PM me. Thanks.

Ok, thanks DeckardKain,
As i am new with POS: Get our coin off the exchange mean put your coin in your new wallet which mean stake them. (i dont need to do something special, like sending opals to another adress of my wallet ?).
You need to have them in your wallet for 24 hours then you will be able to stake them
