I found an error in the cryptocoinexplorer for Hyp. For a while I had the idea that my balance was off, comparing the online cryptocoinexplorer reporting with my wallet balance. So, today I went ahead and dug through all the entries in my wallet and suddenly I saw the difference: One on my staked amounts was identical to the difference. So, I went to the different explorers and indeed, the cryptocoinexplorer appeared to have stored an orphan block, because it is different from the entries in the two other HYP explorers. That also explains the lower balance on cryptocoinexplorer than my wallet shows. You can see the orphan block here: http://hyp.cryptocoinexplorer.com/block?block=117548I have no idea if that is the only orphan or that the cryptocoinexplorer's block chain has more. You can find them if you notice a difference in balance, then search your transaction list for that value, then find the block number of that transaction and verify if you see your transaction in the explorer on that block nr or not. Yes, I have this same error with my wallet. The cryptocoinexplorer has my balance 1k higher than I actually have. Most likely what you are describing is what happened to me in that it stored an orphan block. I noticed this awhile back but after checking that my addys were all the same I figured it was a glitch somewhere and kinda forgot about it. Thanks for clearing this up!!! |

Has anyone looked at Bittrex lately? Why would anyone sell now just before the MP launch? Or is it a whale trying to push price down? Maybe I'll eat that 200k wall and make them start to sweat once they realize it is gone and they have to buy back at 400 sats or higher. Ha teach em a lesson. LOL.

If they put that much time and energy into a coin then it just might do ok. Just remember complainers get nothing/nowhere, and doers get all the girls!!! LOL. Keep up the good work Press and David! I wouldn't even bother worrying about this nonsense. Maybe read it for a good laugh as that is all it is good for in the end. |

David, maybe you can just set the rules for participants to the time/day they entered. Not really a good way to select candidates, however, most people know of this now so they can get in line behind those candidates that have already applied. Or will the pool of candidates "stake" and have a "candidate weight"? LOL. Kinda funny if you did it this way....might add a little fun to the mix. Just a suggestion as either way will get the job done and it is a very good plan!

I was looking at the numbers from the Stake Calculator and the Days to Stake (est.) in Coin Control.
I have blocks ranging from 1650 to 4100. In every case the Days to Stake (est.) results in a stake of 1000. None are actually staking now and I did the appropriate arithmetic.
Question, if I will be away from my computer when the first block is due to begin staking, is there any issue to opening and unlocking my wallet ahead of time? I imagine not but just checking.
No there is no problem with this. I usually leave my wallet unlocked all the time. Just be sure you have your wallet encrypted with a strong password (20+ mix of characters, numbers, symbols) and you will be ok to leave your wallet unlocked for staking. There is an option for just 'Unlock Wallet for POS' option in the Tools menu which gives an extra layer of protection too. |

I have to say that although the price has dropped, that I am glad so I can buy more coins. If everyone has even bothered to see what is in store, check out the wiki, followed IRC or this thread, etc. then you will know this coin will go places. I am fairly certain the price rise and people selling stakes just happened to coincide so price would naturally have a dip. Nothing to worry about people. Take this opportunity to buy more HYP and let the staking begin.

I guess it depends on your profit goals. No, you are not going to 10x your investment BUT you might double it easily... OR even just make a slight margin... but you'd be hard pressed to actually loose money I think Agreed. A little late, but HYP is only going to steadily climb so buy what you can and start staking. |

I agree Crazy those things are all well and good, but those things cannot happen at a good pace if there are the current hurdles in place just to buy Hyperstake. By this I mean what really needs to happen is that we need to create a website that takes USD for Hyperstake. A coinbase so to speak for HYP. A direct conversion. Eliminate bitcoin altogether. If this happens, not only will HYP be the first to be a standalone altcoin (hate that term) but will show the world that bitcoin is no longer the bar on which everything is set. HYP will become its own entity and thus growth will explode. Let's somehow figure this out and make it happen. A leader always wins in the end.

I would rather not even think about that as somebody who became an Octo millionaire after a lot of mining and a lot of purchasing of Octo's at upto 16x that price. In fact, that has to be the most annoying thing about Octo if it EVER does take off, those of us who have been here since day 1 are going to see some johnny come lately make a massively bigger ROI. I hear ya. I haven't been here since day one, but started in July so bought most of mine at 1600-2000 range. All I am trying to say is that I believe this coin still has potential even if most people have given up on it. And since I do still believe I will buy coins up if for no other reason that to say I told you so once things begin to happen. People want everything now...gimme, gimme, gimme. Fucking little kids.......just wait...be patient for once and things will come. If you can't wait then fucking sell.....to me.Thank you. |

Yes, let's do this. My ideas are below which will require a hard fork.
Increase interest to 10% - not too high and not too low.
Have another POW phase for 100k coins for total to ~200k - Will increase FIRE awareness and get miners involved
Have marketing campaign alongside phase 2 POW stage - twitter, facebook, exchanges, etc.
Wallet upgrades - not too much here but maybe update wallet splash screen and wallet background...ideas???
Any other ideas??
