How to increase your chances: - Every week, you get a +1
- Contributions give you an edge. This is subjective, you could win above a +10 with an excellent contribution
- Being recognized as active or worthy by the community
- Other?
How to decrease your chances: - Having less than 100 posts at the time registering will get a -1
Candidates: Nomination happens every Monday. If paulsonnumismatics' idea (making HyperLoan Fund stake) works out, there could be more than one candidate a week. That way, we could have even more participants. Of maybe even before that if the community wallet receive more fund (direct or with S4C). I would like to avoid FIFO nomination (first arrived, first served) because it is unfair and doesn't reflect the involvement - jaybeeuk was chosen on his introduction - I liked this "per aspera ad astra" story of him. What you, as a nominee (not just a candidate) will have to do: 1. Create a dedicated address in your wallet and post it on the forum, so that anyone can track the progress. If you don't know how to do so, just ask on the forum 2 Once you have received the 4K HYP, you will start posting on HyperLoan logs about your feedback. It can be just one posts several posts tracking your increasing understanding of HyperStake, questions... and of course, everyone can post there too. 3. At the end of the 30 days, you will send the principal (4k) back to the originating address pNzkDjKNpfYsYhYZF6zL1F5UAx7KQqS48NHappy loaning, happy stacking! I want to join

I have implemented paulsonnumismatics's idea Now, block 1, 2 et 3 will stake. Block 1 won't have time to stake before being sent to someone else. But block 2 and 3 could very well stake. It will be difficult to keep track of the stake after a while, since the break the original block, but I'm sure we will find a way. Super happy you liked my idea! About to how to track it, I will use Separate adress for each HYPloan. As in HyperLoan1 adress: 3216354354sdfsdag3f54ag2423 HyperLoan2 adress: 3216ghjggdtdfsdag3f54ag6364 HyperLoan3 adress: 3216mvryey354sdfsdag3f54a224 HyperLoan4 adress: 3216hdjfhjdfsdag3f54agvbnt5 So when it stacks, it does to each adress, right? or im wrong? That way when 1st receiver give their HYP back, it goes to HyperLoan1 adress, can be loaned again, etc. When enough stack on those adress, just send the batches to a new HyperLoan5, and that can be left for perma stacking in order to give you back the funds, prevent some scam, etc.. Anyway, eventually when we are all Hypillonaires, we should give some HYP to the fund in order to increase magnitude and impact awareness on CryptoLand. For now, i commit onto distributing all the proceeds of the Loan into "micro-Hyperloaning" to some of my clients in my store.

I'm adapting a program made for Philosopherstone, for use with HyperStake, but I ran into a problem. Alchemist requires the rpcport of the coin, but I can't find this for HyperStake anywhere. Anybody out there know it?

I found an error in the cryptocoinexplorer for Hyp. For a while I had the idea that my balance was off, comparing the online cryptocoinexplorer reporting with my wallet balance. So, today I went ahead and dug through all the entries in my wallet and suddenly I saw the difference: One on my staked amounts was identical to the difference. So, I went to the different explorers and indeed, the cryptocoinexplorer appeared to have stored an orphan block, because it is different from the entries in the two other HYP explorers. That also explains the lower balance on cryptocoinexplorer than my wallet shows. You can see the orphan block here: http://hyp.cryptocoinexplorer.com/block?block=117548I have no idea if that is the only orphan or that the cryptocoinexplorer's block chain has more. You can find them if you notice a difference in balance, then search your transaction list for that value, then find the block number of that transaction and verify if you see your transaction in the explorer on that block nr or not. Yes, I have this same error with my wallet. The cryptocoinexplorer has my balance 1k higher than I actually have. Most likely what you are describing is what happened to me in that it stored an orphan block. I noticed this awhile back but after checking that my addys were all the same I figured it was a glitch somewhere and kinda forgot about it. Thanks for clearing this up!!!

Hey Presstab and David,
I have another suggestion/question for either one of you or both. Can you put the coin control tab with the other main buttons? ie. the main page so it could go like Overview, Coin Control, Send, Receive, Transactions, etc....I use Coin Control everyday to see my weight, etc. I think it should be a main button or is there a reason it has to be in the Send tab? Would make life easier for a lazy person like me. Thanks!

Not a bad idea, so long as the sendcoindialog will still update in the same fashion after selecting some coins. I will look into this.

While were making suggestions...
This may have been suggested in the past. I couldn't find it on a quick search.
Would there be any way to combine coins and not lose all of there age? I have several small piles of coins that are 20-40 days old. It would be nice if I could combine them and have them stay at the youngest age. And not reset to zero.
I'm currently waiting for something to stake, then I'll bite the bullet and re-combine everything....

Proof of Stake is based off of your transactions times. So if you use the inputs, the transaction times change. No easy way to get around this. In the next wallet release I am planning on telling the wallet not to split the stake reward if it will result in a block less than 750 or so HYP.

just one quick questions, are you wanting ideas JUST for HYP loan? or for HYP in general? HYP in general.
Anyone tried staking large block just to get sure to have them staking at 9 days? Like you know you will hit the max subsidy, but since you usually have to wait 14 days to stake, you don't really lose that much, thanks to compounding. This would require some maths and some statistics (to know your average block time). Update: answer from Kushed> davidlatapie, that thought has come up. But it’s hard to even calculate since the network difficulty cans fluctuate. So it’s a fine line between staking faster to compound faster vs Longer but risk losing less HYP (if at all). Now we are just gambling man.
This is just one new address and backup frequency should not be affected since there are 100 spare addresses in a wallet. We are considering getting rid of this limitation by not using change addresses at all. Among other things, it means your backup will be still useful after months.
I'm concerned it cannot scale. Having to handle more and more addresses... I prefer not , at least for the moment. But I'll consider it for later. Yes, it stakes on each address.

It's in the new wallet, the beta I believe. If you compile from source, you can already have it. Beware though, this may be unstable (we detected a major bug in S4C, for instance).

[/quote] I have been unable to reproduce the s4c error. Anybody that experiences please let me know. The error has to do with the change transaction not completing correctly.

OK, good to know I helped someone. BTW, if I now go to cryptocoinexplorer and ask for the "orphan" block number, I get a 503 "Service Unavailable" error. If I ask for either lower or higher block number it does give the usual overview, so apparently the first step that cryptocoinexplorer takes is to remove the incorrect block. Now we have to wait until they retrieve and enable it again.

Hello! Didn't get the chance to look over the code yet... I got a question: When normally spending money from the wallet (not coin-control), do newer (less confirmations) coins get spent first? Or is it the other way around?
