interesting question. i think it's gonna go into hibernation for a while. there's some cool developments on the horizon but the excitement might tail off. there'll also be some hodlers who'll be dumping and there's alot to dump. price is going down.
A true hodler doesn't sell in a bear market.  Personally, I'll be hodling for a good 2-3 years until the next crypto bubble.

Byteball is one of the few cryptocurrencies with real intrinsic value, so I'll keep it until well after the end of the distribution.  I may be spending at the merchants when they announce some good ones, too.

i'll be holding too. it's really gonna go places in the future. that doesn't stop me believing it's gonna be a rocky road in the short to medium term.

If bittrex will not be giving me the 10% distribution I will be suing them; my withdrawal limit is not nearly enough to withdraw all before the distribution.

Time to put on those big boy shorts and take responsibility for your own actions, or in this case in-action.
Been plenty of notice when the next drop is, so no-one to blame but yourself if you ain't ready.

But hey, would love to know how your legal action goes if you can't get your game together.
Keep us posted.

The Byteball price has been increased today, what was the reason for this pump?

The Airdrop is in the next 9 days and people have start buying probably now and that's why the price has started increasing?

I'm holding, when should I sell?

No one can tell you when to sell. If you look at the history thr coins goes up before an airdrop becuase you can get more free Bytes if you own. After the distribution comes the dump. I think the price will rise for the next 9 days. If you don't care about getting free bytes then just sell before the airdrop. If you just HODL. I've actually increased my byte holding by buying and selling blackbytes. The price went from .01 MB per MBB to .09 MB to MBB.

Actually there are many ups and downs in the past few days in the byteball bittrex exchange which I don't like much as it makes a foggy situation.

If I hold the byteballs in Bittrex will I receive the (white) byteball airdrop or I should withdraw the byteballs to my desktop byteball wallet in order to receive the byteballs, the white and black byteballs?

Having your coins on any exchange is dangerous.   Bittrex will receive the bytes.  It's up to them to credit you with the bonus.  That said, exchanges do it for free while others charge 5% for the service.
Is 5% worth them doing nothing to receive your money for you?

Also, with them doing it for you, you then don't get any blackbytes.

Less than 9 hours for the airdrop.

There have been many airdrops in the past and byteball is in bittrex for a while too that;s why I asked how it was the past times.

I don't expect any change from them this time as the reward is less for bitcoin holders but good for byteball holders.

For 5% maybe it would worth if the balance is really low and doesn't worth to make the transfers but for higher balance yes of course, and if no blackbytes then I think it's time to make the move.

Just a few hours to the airdrop. My sensation is that this time the price drop will be minimal. I wouldn't be sursprised it it didn't drop at all. In this case, it would probably jump up.

bittrex is legally obligated to provide the distribution for the bytes held on its platform regardless of the option of withdrawal. This is like a stock broker taking the dividend of your stock from you.

Thanks for the changes we asked for.

There is really no need to distribute all bb that fast. At the moment there are too many out there, which have no or little value for the people out there. Now there is more time for keeping the dump running and then we will pump up.

Of course there will be a dump. We want more cheap BB.

No private key nor bought over platform, no rights of possesion. Quite easy to understand if they dont tell you different.

We need more exchanges for BB not less, i was thinking. Therefor you have tradeoffs. You are making the 10% over trading on bittrex or by holding them in a wallet. Its not different with pos currencies. We dont need to fight wind mills or the feeding hand.

This alt is gonna be rebranded Airball with scheduled infinite inflation via ever more difficult and awkward methodologies...
There needs to be more controversy and discussion surrounding every aspect of distribution...
It will separate the True Hodlers from the Fake Holdlers and, especially, from the Hipster Hodlers.

I always get this crap when I launch byteball, anyone has any ideas?

I had a newer version of NW.js but I removed it and I still see this.

I am using the latest version (1.10.1).
Make a backup and do this:

Linux users who upgrade from 1.10.0 will have to delete all files (but not subdirectories!) in ~/.config/byteball/Default in order to get rid of the annoying (but harmless) popup about profile format.  This is because we had to revert to an older version of nwjs to address one issue https://github.com/byteball/byteball/issues/201Backup before deleting.

Mac and Linux users please upgrade.

Thanks for the info. I am using windows wallet, and deleted all files in ~\AppData\Local\byteball\User Data\Default dir, and now it works fine without the annoying popup.

Yesterday I want to add one more Bitcoin address to my byteball address, but my transition bot don't want to responce to me. Is it bug or bot don't work before airdrop?
P.s. previously I upgrade my wallet to the last update.

This address is used by Bittrex to send change to: QR542JXX7VJ5UJOZDKHTJCXAYWOATID2. It currently holds 32,882 GBYTE. It is linked in Transition Bot, so they'll get Blackbytes too.

I don't think that will be withdrawn the coming hour, so Bittrex receives just over a $1M in bytes in the next airdrop. That could even mean the price drop after the airdrop is caused by Bittrex itself selling their free bytes.
I really don't understand why a much bigger exchange like Poloniex doesn't add Byteball, they can earn millions from it.
