1021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPER] SuperCoin - Testnet Anon Wallet|POS Superblock| Mandatory Upgrade! on: June 14, 2014, 12:19:45 AM
what makes this coin super? seems like price rising.

IMHO its a combination of the coin's speed + the superblocks in both PoW *and* PoS (a first AFAIK) + the upcoming anon tx functionality

If you want to see samples of my writing, blog posts, giveaways, etc... here is my crypto site: http://bitcoinmafia.com/

This pops out when I try to connect to your website :

https://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/bitcoinmafia.com?utm_source=addon&utm_content=warn-viewsc

It's from 2012, but still. You might want to fix that if that's possible ?

I didn't own bitcoinmafia.com in 2012. I registered it in late 2013 or so.

My first altcoin Spotlight video podcast and I chose SuperCoin! http://bitcoinmafia.com/altcoin-spotlight/video-altcoin-spotlight-61314-supercoin-super/

Thank you for hard work, impressed with the video. Nice one.

I'm not a videographer by any stretch, but I think for a homegrown podcast it turned out okay Smiley
I plan to use it in the future marketing as well. thanks really appreciated.

Did you get my PM?

1027  Other / Beginners & Help / Easy way to password protect your wallet backups on a USB flash drive on: June 13, 2014, 09:31:52 AM
I learned my lesson about making sure to keep wallet backups on an external drive the hard way this week. To be
EXTRA careful, I decided to hide and password protect them as well. It's easy to do and just provides a little extra
layer of protection.

Hope you find it helpful!

1028  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How exactly traffic exchange works? on: June 13, 2014, 06:59:47 AM
Traffic exchanges are a waste of time, imo. More often than not the 'traffic' generated aren't real visitors. Best bet
is to focus on good content that will attract users and optimize that content to improve search engine rankings. Also
don't forget the importance of backlinks. Getting legitimate non-spam links to your site from authority sources within
the crypto industry (assuming your site is crypto related) can help both in terms of direct user traffic and improving
search engine rankings.

1030  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 4.2.0: modular ASIC+FPGA, GBT+Strtm, RPC, Mac/Lnx/W64, RockMiner R-BOX on: June 12, 2014, 02:21:50 PM
Not sure that 4.2 runs both.  If you have a Pi, check out Hashra.  They have an image for your Pi that lets you remote connect, run both scrypt/sha, and looks fairly clean.  I have yet to check it out, but I've seen good things...

Not that I'm not all about the BFGMiner, it's just a different tool if you want to do both...

No pi, just my laptop to run it with. I was under the impression that the latest ver. could do both simultaneously?
1031  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 4.2.0: modular ASIC+FPGA, GBT+Strtm, RPC, Mac/Lnx/W64, RockMiner R-BOX on: June 12, 2014, 02:14:30 PM
I have four of the round mini gridseed ASIC miners hooked up to a USB hub. I have the latest version of BFGminer. How do I mine
in dual mode with it? Sha256 only mode?

Any help is appreciated!

Best,

Cynthia
1032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] HAPPYCOIN [HPY] X11 -5%POS- GOOD LUCK!! on: June 12, 2014, 12:56:18 PM
Bad news, folks. Looks like I am not going to be able to take over development of HappyCoin. I want to desperately,
but my system got hacked yesterday and a trojan uploaded. During the cleanup process, I did a system restore, not
realizing that it would wipe all AppData contents. So I lost everything that was supposed to be paying for my kid's
graduation gift.

I've got to work doubletime to make that money back by the end of August, so I just won't have time. If my situation
improves and nobody else has taken it over by then, I'd love to revisit the idea. I had really great plans for HPY.

Hope y'all understand!

Best,

Cynthia
1033  Other / Beginners & Help / Always back up your wallets - a lesson I learned the hard way on: June 12, 2014, 01:43:56 AM
Long story short, my laptop got a virus and after removing it I had to do a system restore. Because I didn't have
my backups stored externally, when I rebooted after the restore ALL of my wallet.dat files were gone. Possibly
unrecoverable.

Details here: http://bitcoinmafia.com/bittys-blog/backup-wallets-cautionary-tale/

Newbies - don't make my mistake. Backup your wallet.dat files on a flash drive. Just having them on your hard drive
is NOT enough.

Cheers,

Cynthia
1034  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Not new but... on: June 11, 2014, 07:08:48 AM
Sigh... back to the drawing board.

I am not new to Bitcoin Talk. I've been lurking and posting here since February as Bitcoin_Mafia. Yesterday some nimrod hacked
my account and changed the email address so that I can't reset the password. I'm stuck until admin either recovers the account
or deletes it altogether.

About me... I am the mother of two boys, ages 19 and 13. The oldest just graduated from high school (yay!). By day I am a
web designer, developer, SEO maven, social media butterfly, and writer. By night I am a crypto fanatic. I love everything about
crypto-currency...the variety, the roller coaster ride of value fluctuations, the possibilities and the accessibliity.

I've started doing commission work promoting altcoins - the odd blog post here, social media mentions there, Reddit, IRC, etc...
One day I would love to make the move to doing crypto work full time, but barring something extraordinary happening, that dream
is quite a ways off.

In the meantime, I run a crypto site - Bitcoin Mafia - where I blog about coins, host giveaways, list (and run!) faucets and other
freebie sites, etc...

When I'm not working or rocketing around the crypto 'verse, I'm usually gaming. Sometimes with the kids, but usually with my
husband. I'm not talking MMOs (though some of those are awesome as well!). I'm talking old school paper and dice D&D. Believe
it or not, I actually met my husband at a D&D game we were both in. We still game most nights of the week Smiley

Anywho, that's me. If you you have a coin that you need promoted (or if you just want to say 'Hey!') drop me a PM. I'm always
here somewhere... lurking.

Cheers,

Cynthia

So...who wants to take this coin over and do it right? I'm not a strong enough programmer to do it myself, but I'd be in for
promotion, website development and social media. Who's with me?

I'm responsible for the http://bitscoinshop.com.br/en/
Really sad that currency and have that end , do not understand programming . More if anyone wants to continue the work will have my support too

I've already emailed the original dev about taking over HPY. I have some really interesting ideas for it.

Any news- are you taking over, where is the Happy Community- or this is the dead end like for every Happy thing in real life.

Did not mean to be off the grid for the past couple of days. My Bitcoin_Mafia account got hacked on Saturday and I've been
trying to get it back, with no luck. So I had to create a new account.

Yes I still want to take over the coin. I emailed the developer and he said that if I can fix it, it is mine.

Cheers!

Cynthia

There is a certain forum you must fill out and sign you BTC address and send a PM to him. Then you can only wait.

I already sent my BTC address do him. Couldn't sign it b/c the one I was using was generated @ Cryptsy.
1038  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos, please help! on: June 10, 2014, 03:40:08 PM
Theymos,

I sent you a PM last night, but just in case...

My original account - Bitcoin_Mafia - appears to have been hacked, or at the very least locked. I can't log in with
what I know are the correct username and password. Also, when I go to reset the password, the email that contains
the reset password link never arrives. I check my junk mail and my spam folder, and nothing. I know I can receive
system messages from the forum b/c I still have notification emails from when other users have replied to PMs in the
past under my Bitcoin_Mafia account.

Please help!

The BTC address associated with this account is the same one associated with my hacked account.

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,

Cynthia

have you got a respond from Theymos?
Because I have the same problem just like u. and until I write this post no respond yet. some people talk that BTT to slow to respond some problem, I think they right. probably they should give us a progress for our problem, will they investigate or something or what.
For me... waiting is suck.

Unfortunately, no response. I don't know if Theymos is sick, working, out of town, on vacation, on the moon, inundated
with hacked account issues, or just doesn't want to reply. In any case, I finally had no choice but to create a new acct.
