Economy / Investor-based games / [ANN] Earn Even MORE From BTC-Flow!
|
on: February 18, 2015, 10:37:19 AM

Everyone's been talking about BTC-Flow this month and now that they've increased their referral commission, I've got a proposal that will help you earn even MORE - without investing a single satoshi. Sign up for BTC-Flow using my referral link and I'll split the referral commission from your signup. The split will be 60 / 40 - that is 60% for YOU and 40% for me - paid once a week when my balance hits the minimum amount required for a withdrawal. I've created a public spreadsheet where I'll be keeping track of my referrals and their balances each week: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1mUPYL8f1pwaG39cF1zXqMnzpwjjtwPMcDUDo7k5Ipc4/edit?usp=sharingIf you're interested, PM me and I'll get you squared away. For those of you wondering if I can be trusted to pay out - I recently ran the SatoshiBet signature campaign and every single person who participated received their payouts. Every week without fail. Cheers! Cynthia

Economy / Service Announcements / Re: GoogleFaucet.com | Awesome Faucet | Up to 1000 Satoshi per Claim
|

Link : http://googlefaucet.comRewards : 100 - 1000 Satoshi (It will rise very Soon) Referral Comissions : 25% Direct Payments to Faucetbox Kindly add this Faucet to your Rotator. I will make this Faucet Running And it will never Become out of Funds. Currently the rewards are Minimum, It will never go under thatYou might want to change the text on your faucet. It is misleading. Your faucet page says "Free 1000 Satoshi Per Claim" but that is not true. It's 100 - 1000 satoshi per claim. Also, using a trademarked company name for your faucet without permission of the company in question (Google)? You're asking for trouble there, friend.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which are the bright new altcoins of 2015?

I would say SYS was a big time fail.
Well, that's because your time horizon is insanely short. They definitely made some HUGE errors early on, and people who bought the ICO are currently down considerably, but the devs are still working on the coin and attempting to build something. Now, it certainly could be abandoned at some point in the future, but right now, the market cap is cheap compared to the potential. I bought into the SYS ico originally. Had to sell off awhile back though when I lost my job and I was selling off every altcoin I had to put food on the table. I'm back to getting a few small web dev and SEO gigs here and there, which is good. Hopefully I'll be able to start investing in altcoins again soon.

Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTER.com hacked - 7170 BTC stolen [DON'T KEEP YOUR MONEY ON AN EXCHANGE]

This stinks. I liked Bter. The daily interest aspect was cool and their support people were always quick to respond to emails. I really hope that this was a hack and not another mtgox fiasco. Over 7k bitcoin is a LOT of money.
I only had 1.5 BTC on their myself - not a lot compared to most, but it was what I was saving to pay for my kid's college textbooks next term. Hopefully I'll be able to pick up an extra web dev or SEO gig to cover the loss.

I'm no expert, but with the difficulty rate and hashing power needed to mine any significant amount of bitcoin (e.g. more than just dust) I think you're better off mining a stable altcoin and then trading that altcoin on the exchanges for bitcoin.
Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

Speaking as someone who both uses faucets AND runs her own bitcoin faucet, I look at it primarily as an introduction to acquiring / sending Bitcoin. They see how easy Bitcoin transactions are and it isn't the Big Unknown Thing anymore. I think too that it appeals to the gambler's mentality in a lot of folks - will I or won't I will the big payout this time?
The only thing that that irks me are the insane number of ads faucet owners try to cram onto their faucet pages. I get the ad revenue angle, but having so many ads, pop-ups, and pop-unders that users' browsers start sobbing uncontrollably in the corner? Not cool. Also the porn ads. A LOT of newbie Bitcoin faucet users are kids and faucet owners need to take that into account.
