221  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which BTC wallet are you using on: June 29, 2016, 05:14:39 PM
armory for cold storage  and multibit classic for speed and convenience .....

Where can I download multibit classic? I don't like the HD version. I get paranoid every time I have to generate a new
payment request just to get a BTC address.
222  Economy / Services / Re: YoBit.Net - Signature Campaign - Realtime Payouts (daily) on: June 29, 2016, 05:12:23 PM

That send to my BTC balance button is not working for me please all of you guyzz make it sure !
yobit is there some technical issue then hope to see its done soon !
They just need to fill up the coffers again. May take a few days. They usually end up paying in the end. The one time that they failed to count correctly, due to an update of Bitcointalk, they ran a double pay special for a few days.

Had this problem for about two days but it didn't really bother me since I wasn't in a rush. I just waited and then bam! It suddenly worked again.
It's a little bit of disappointing(? i don't know the proper word for it) that yobit has this kind of problem but it's better because we can payout whenever we feel as long as that button is working.

what is disappointing is the fact that people post here without reading a single page of the thread where they will see that this happens and is always resolved and should not be mentioned

Thanks for shedding light on the issue. Now I won't worry about it Smiley

don't worry someone else without the ability to read will come along and waste the thread space and the time of those that are here for the right reasons

It's a kneejerk reaction to go Waaaaaaaah it isn't working! before checking to see what's going on. But I agree, it would save time AND
avoid needlessly freaking people out if folks would just read up-thread a bit before they post.
223  Economy / Services / Re: Faucet website and Google Adsence on: June 29, 2016, 05:10:47 PM
Google is starting to crack down on faucet websites anyway, so you're probably better off with a crypto-focused ad platform
like a-ads or some of the others out there.
224  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Eobot scam or legit?? on: June 29, 2016, 05:07:38 PM
Eobot has been around for years, which is more than I can say for a lot of the other cloud mining scams out there.
I have to admit that I haven't generated squat in the year plus I've been with them, so who knows.
225  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: NEW UPDATE-HASHOCEAN on: June 29, 2016, 05:05:30 PM
I've lost track of which emails and FB posts are legit and which are impersonators. I got two emails yesterday morning
from them - identical emails - at an email address I've never used with them, so I'm guessing that was the imposter.

I managed to withdraw my profits before they shut down, but I did have quite a bit of hashing power purchased over
time.
226  Economy / Exchanges / Re: So Coinbase supports PayPal! on: June 29, 2016, 05:02:59 PM
Accepting PayPal - while convenient for buyers - is going to prove to be a pain in the ass for Coinbase. Paypal
has a long history of backing the buyer, even when the seller has proof of buyer fraud. I've experienced this
myself several times back in the day when selling crypto via eBay (yes, laugh it up - I was quite the n00b at
the time). I had emails, photos of buyer ID, etc.. and every time (there were 3 or 4 instances) PayPal sided
with the buyer.

You can buy bitcoins with a debit / credit card or paypal at Virwox.

http://www.virwox.com

FYI I am not affiliated with them. I just use their service from time to time.
229  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What Bitcoin wallets are best to use? on: June 29, 2016, 04:50:48 AM
Multibit gets my vote Smiley Personally, I don't store any digital currency (bitcoin or otherwise) online unless I am
getting ready to trade.

Hello Everyone.

I have created a free website in www.wix.com which is somewhat related with bitcoin, so now i want to make my website as a faucet website, apart from that want to link with google adsence.

It that possible. MY website is not a gambling website, there is a small amount of information about bitcoin.

Please advice.

Does WIX even allow you to upload scripts? Last I checked (which was awhile ago, admittedly) they did not.

I think not also or i miss something in wix? But really if your planning to make faucet just make it more appealing because wix can be a big minus for people who wants to try fuacet because they will find it scam since your using free domain, thats why you need to make it more appealing to people so we can see better result for your plan if you really want to make a faucet sites.

You couldn't pay me to use WIX, but then again, I build and market websites for a living Smiley

234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BlueCoin (ß) | Dark Gravity Wave | PoS Velocity | 5% Annual Rewards on: June 28, 2016, 01:56:36 PM
I would love to see BLU make a comeback. As I seem to recall, there was a great team of developers / promoters
behind it and it is clear that the BLU community isn't ready to write it off, either.
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][QTL] Quatloo, A DarkWaveGravity Scrypt Coin Mandatory UPDATE to v1.2.1 on: June 28, 2016, 01:55:09 PM
It's a shame. Quatloo seemed unique for its time. No crypto currency is exempt from the digital graveyard when
its developers grow bored with it or decide it has made them enough money and it is time to move on.
236  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HashOcean disapeared and scammed 700,000 users ? ! on: June 28, 2016, 01:52:16 PM
I doubt that the HashOcean owner was even based in the US, which increases the likelihood that the FBI will do nothing.
237  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Fraud assessment tool on: June 27, 2016, 10:19:08 PM
I haven't completed the 19 steps yet, but as far as I can tell, there isn't any kind of statement or ToS that disallows butthurt people to complain about your tool if it ends up predicting incorrectly. Perhaps that is something worth taking a look into, since more and more people nowadays will do anything to makeup their lost capital and push the blame on other people.

I like the idea, though. Keep up the good work. Smiley

That's actually a very good point. You need to have some kind of disclaimer in an obvious location so that
folks can't come back and blame you for their bad choices.
238  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HashOcean disapeared and scammed 700,000 users ? ! on: June 27, 2016, 09:02:52 PM
WHY THE F# THEIR FACEBOOK PAGE IS ONLINE AGAIN ?

IF THEY REALLY FIX THIER OWN PROBLEM.. THEY GONNA BE +12346754 TRUSTED !

BE SMART HASHOCEAN.. COMEBACK TO ONLINE.
I don't think they're coming back. I bet this person has a lot invested in HO.

Anyways, as already mentioned, this is a lesson everyone (especially those who invested) will need to learn. Don't trust them until they have proof.

Invested a lot or not I think he is right. If hashocean comes back now imagine how much trust it will gain, how much respect and how many new users.
Of course this would mean for them bigger amounts invested therefore a bigger amount to run off with in the future.
I must admit it would be a smart move from them to come back.

They won't though. Just coming back won't do anything other than show that they want another shot at fleecing people.
In order to really come back successfully and without the taint of 'scam' hanging over their heads, they would really
need to do something above and beyond. Give users double the hashing power they had or something.
239  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Fraud assessment tool on: June 27, 2016, 09:00:08 PM
It's an interesting tool. One thing I noticed is that it is possible to select both the yes and no options together for a
question. From a usability standpoint, you should ideally only be able to select yes (thumbs up) or no (thumbs down).

Other than that, I like it. If nothing else, it will make folks really take a good look at the companies they are putting
their hard earned bitcoin into.
240  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HashOcean disapeared and scammed 700,000 users ? ! on: June 27, 2016, 07:12:02 PM
I lost thousands to the bitcoin world. Banks are safe but gives Government power. Power we want back. Bitcoin would make this possible but  Bitcoin is built around greed and does not care about you. Every one needs to pull there money out until someone stop these scams from happening. Hash Ocean is a good example. They steal but who is going to stop them or punish them. Not the big players in the Bitcoin industry.  they only care about themselves. Take back your money. Stop using bitcoin and take back your power. They will fix it when the money stops coming in.

Agreed. One of the most appealing things about digital currency is the lack of oversight and government control.
Unfortunately, it's that same lack of oversight and control that allows these parasites to prey on people and get
away with it.
