So everyone should be on v1.5. If your not, your going to have problems , as this was a major fork. If your having trouble moving to 1.5 please PM presstab.

Woody what happens when you load with 1.4 and do a dump privkey on your main wallet? Then import privkey on freshly updated v1.5 wallet?

Guys I know some of you are having trouble transitioning from 1.4 to 1.5 wallet. It was difficult for me too. I sent a PM presstab and made him aware. I told him all the things you had done for example:
Deleted everything but wallet.dat from roaming updated to 64-bit wallet updated addnodes synced from scratch
Wallet 1.5 works fine and syncs with a brand new blank wallet, its when the old wallet.dat with all the funds is introduced, it crashes.
I had the same symptoms you guys did were the fly splash screen comes up and then disappears, I had to play around with it for about 45 min and finally got it working, but did so much I dont remember what it was to get it going.. I ALso got a "salvage failed" on wallet.dat and went to a backup.

So as FLY is not technology based , but economic and trust based, the updates dont come from the wallet but from myself and the community. I had another idea, and Im always welcome to feedback , good or bad. My idea was this: To use private buys to build a large buy wall. This will shield current investors from the price falling. Ive already put up 1 btc buy wall , and I will add to it as I can. I dont want to have the buy wall too high as this might attract dumpers. But I think its a good idea to leave this in place to protect the price, and add to it as new private buyers come in, and make it much larger and stronger. I think it will build more confidence having it always there.

I always report private buys, so they will always match up with outbound transactions in my wallet. I did another private sell to TimC. Thank you Tim!!

Why would the estimated stake in my wallet go from 3 - 5 days to 267 - 389 days it hasn't staked anything since i adjusted the block size in the wallet and updated wallet to FlyCoin version: v1 5.0.0 and the nodes
Presstab posted this after wallet v1.5 and it sounds like the POS diff is still adjusting itself: As you can see difficulty is stuck at the lower bound of 0.00390. It comes up sometimes, but it doesnt adjust down enough like it needs to. After the fork, the coin weight calculation changes to increase by 100 times. This means that everyone will have 100 times more weight, and that all at once a bunch of coins will be much more competitive staking. This will lead to a huge increase of difficulty. To add to this, the block target spacing will increase from 2 minutes to 5 minutes. I am guessing that this will put FLY's difficulty on the path to 100 or so. The fork *should* provide a very well working difficulty adjustment, a long term chain with 5 minute blocks that isn't going to eat up anyone's ram or cpu, and a secure network.
As always I will stand by with my QR code (quick response code) in case anything needs to be adjusted I myself had extraordinary long estimate in stake times, so I closed my wallet and backed up the wallet.dat and deleted everything in roaming/flycoin except wa..et.dat and restarted , after about 30 min the POS corrected. Hope this helps. I did have to close and open the wallet a few times during the sync process. Also if you launch the wallet after you delete your roaming/flycoin, then rename your wallet.dat to wallet.dat.tmp and let it sync, and then delete the 88k new wallet.dat that was created and rename wallet.dat.tmp back to wallet.dat and relaunch flycoin wallet. Thank you for your quick response, but I like to feel free to buy or sell when I want. I will be aware of it, if it Cryptsy or Bittrex.
Agreed. This coin is not for everyone, as it has strict rules. The rules are in place to keep prices very high, and to eliminate dumpers. This is a VERY long term investment that will last for years. I respect your decision. Please note it will never be on a big exchange , ever. Vegas

I may make it a requirement for private sales that the buyer claim their wallet and put their name in. I wanted to see what you guys thought. This way if anyone does decide to sell outside of their main wallet, we will know who it is. This is a safe way for everyone.

I am the dev, and I do private sales at a deep discount, well under market price. Minimum is .5BTC is 20% and discounts can go to 40% or more off market price. We use the btc from private sales to buy the fly from yobit. This serves 2 functions. First: It takes FLY away from the public and into safe hands that wont dump, and secondly it raises the price for everyone. We have a strict rule, that you are ONLY allowed to sell your stake rewards if purchased from me. Its easy to do, just setup "savings" and your stakes will separate into another wallet address you are welcome to sell.

Hi I just downloaded the windows version from the OP to confirm its version # and it is infact v1.5. The linux copy is old, and I wonder if someone would be kind enough to compile a 64bit linux version I can post. Also here is Presstabs original post for V1.5: https://www.dropbox.com/s/0814oq2h5zyrdl7/FlyCoin-qt-v1.5.zip?dl=0You can also try to go into roaming and backup your wallet.dat and delete everything from the roaming/flycoin folder, but before you do that you must download the correct v1.5 version. Owning this coin is a no brainer in my opinion. You have vegasguy bringing together some of the best and most trusted devs and players in the crypto scene; You have a coin based on the specs of DMD, which has consistently been one of the highest performers in my portfolio (somehow it keeps maintaining its value, despite a 50% stake rate); you have a focused strategy for maintaining the price and a dev who posts every day like a crypto obsessed maniac. I wish I'd heard about it earlier, but I bought up some FLY this week and plan to buy even more into the dips (if they ever happen!). Trust is the most valuable commodity in crypto, and while nothing is guaranteed, FLY looks to be as good as it gets in that department. nice to read so nice words aout DMD outside the DMD thread sometimes i wish more of that silents followers state their opiniojn about DMD inside the DMD thread too didnt even know u are a DMD investor by name Yes I am a DMD investor (almost 1000 DMD) - thanks for a great coin, cryptonit! I don't really post in the DMD thread I think because the coin just works without problem and i don't have to think about it much. I guess I mostly post when I have a question or issue with a coin, or if the coin is new (or has a lot of juicy controversy to follow ), but maybe I will post more in that thread going forward. My strategy for FLY will be the same as my strategy for DMD; accumulate and stake, and then sell only from the stakes. Yes, FLY follows many of the principles of DMD. Its no coincidence that its 50% per year , 7 day min stake and its a very long term trusted coin. Fly will be around for YEARS. I took the best principles from dmd and added my own ideas. Thanks to everyone that has supported and trusted me. The richlist is slowly coming into balance. With help of my support team Ive managed to sell of 8,000 FLY to private buys. My goal is to be slightly above #2. For those of you new here, ALL btc generated from private buys is used to buy up the price on yobit. I do NOT keep the BTC. I use the same Yobit wallet address for every transaction so it can be checked at any time. Vegas

I respect the developers of different coins, but nevertheless I want to say. Why do some developers still continue to create coins with a 100% premine** ? They are trying to replicate the success of other coins and distribute their empty coins through various forums, leaving most of the coins in his pocket, in the hope that after a while people will forget about the fact that the creation of these coins in the air and begin to buy them? Is it looks your way to success? If your coin would be fair, your path would start from scratch. not premine** and not mineable* without artificial capitalization. Just look at the site http://coinmarketcap.com/all/views/all/ you see how many of these have already been created ** and * coins Not really You want to find another bunch of people who want to give their Bitcoins for bright wrappers from candy eaten by you? I mined most of the fly that's in my wallet so how could it be 100% premine I think he is just talking about the coins that are premine, and I agree, their prices are artificial. Vegas

A quick note about the fork for any of you guys that don't read to deep into the source code Here is what the current difficulty looks like. As you can see difficulty is stuck at the lower bound of 0.00390. As always I will stand by with my QR code (quick response code) in case anything needs to be adjusted Thank you Sir!!! Vegas I know many of you with smaller wallets are not staking as easy as you could. The upcoming fork will help.
