221  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain to release S17E 64TH on: December 05, 2019, 04:04:05 PM
It will cover T17e as well. At least it should I will double check but it appears the T17e and T17 are the same machine E just better chips from asic lottery. The + models are different machines and won't be supported right off the bat. Early testing shows the ability to downvote up to 25% but I have not yet found the magic number for best performance and th/s yet. Someone will probably beat me to finding the best settings. I am pretty excited for the downclock so I can stop running my pdu's at a stupid high load.

Edit: T17e has more chips and is a different machine so no. Original firmware posted will just work for only T17.

I should have a firmware for T17 and S17 within a day. There was a bug getting the T17 chips to autotune. Think we got it ironed out and it should hopefully be working. If it works after some testing I will have a thread for the firmware within a day or two.

where is the download link s17pro ?

The S17/S17e/S17Pro/T17 firmware will be out within the next few days.

You can use the firmware that I provide and remove 1 fan. The chips will stay hotter and then the outlet fan will still carry the heat fairly well. If you increase voltage temps will increase as long as freq is high enough. I recommend 8.9.
225  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: New Antminer S15 T15 overclock firmware on: November 30, 2019, 08:10:18 AM
Ahh I see. You pulled cgminer off it and then did it without the need of the debugger. I assumed for the 15 series cgminer was slightly obfuscated but it looks like they didn't even bother to make it difficult on the 15 series. But I mean hey that is solid way to patch it. As long as they don't obfuscate it this will work on their newer firmware as well. Granted this is fixed frequency and doing that allows basic tweaks it's far better than stock.
226  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Fears/Backlash on ASIC mining and miner capitulazation with BTC/Crypto. POLL. on: November 29, 2019, 11:51:18 PM
Mining has always been a darkest before dawn industry.  You have to be willing to mine through a loss period if you want to make it out stronger on the other side.

Wiser words are rarely said on this forum.

If by survive you mean just survive, then bitcoin does not have to be over 10k when the halving comes, it will survive even at 100$ , yes more miners than usual will have to leave the game, bitcoin will be more subject to 51% attacks, but there will always be someone who is able to keep the blockchain alive as long as bitcoin is anything above flat 0.

I mean if you play your cards right you can do pretty well. I have been living off just mining profits for the past 2 years. Granted I dropped $75k in hardware just before the runup and sold a bit during it. But I never sold coin for a loss only when I was in the green. Now I am going through and upgrading everything and am curious if I can repeat it all again. Except for this time I am not going to use my btc profit as yolo money.

If that signature file did not work for you.

Flash using sd card: https://asic.to/files/Firmware/Stock/SD-S9.zip

ps. Just updated the program a little bit. Made it smaller and some translation fixes. Along with pausing the replace script.

I will add more to it later and simplify it a bit more as testing showed some people are bad at instructions xD
228  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Antminer S9 and T9+ Firmware ASICBOOST original hacked , no dev fee hidden on: November 29, 2019, 11:37:44 AM
There is a way to patch BMMINER specifically to set fixed frequency and asicboost. Not sure how you can do voltage control increments since it's hardcoded per frequency range.
229  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Can a big dump render Bitcoin unusable because of the mining difficulty? on: November 29, 2019, 11:28:22 AM
I think he is still made about BCH. But yeah it will take btc a solid amount of time to re adjust diff if a massive change and it sucks since we just got to ride it out.
230  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Braiins OS: open-source mining firmware [S9, T1]. New release includes AsicBoost on: November 29, 2019, 11:19:45 AM
OK so when is the s17 going to be supported  Grin Grin

They have to program the driver from scratch which would take some time. But I am sure it is very similar to the S9 and other drivers for other chips. No need to reinvent the wheel everytime.

Hey I realized you edited out the front page. Is there a link anywhere for this as I would love to link this for the older bmminer mods on my other thread.

This looks very cool! I am going to check this out over the long weekend.
233  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: New Antminer S15 T15 overclock firmware on: November 29, 2019, 11:16:49 AM
Now what are you using to decompile? Since you can't run IDA's armserver on the control board to analyze the binary or are you not using a debugger. I understand how it works and it should work just curious on your methodology which is different approach.
234  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: SSH Unlock & Signature Check Removal Tool • For Antminer S17/T17 and S15 on: November 29, 2019, 06:53:13 AM
Should be live tomorrow. Only dev fee as the risk of someone sharing one without is extremely high.
235  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: SSH Unlock & Signature Check Removal Tool • For Antminer S17/T17 and S15 on: November 29, 2019, 05:03:26 AM

Update for you all! I decided to make a little tool in vb and also added support for Antminer S15. All you have to do now is fill in the text field as you would previously and then press save. Then click whichever miner you are trying to unlock. After that is done wait a few minutes and then press Remove Signature. Hover ENG flash or RUS flag for instructions.

Virus scan: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/25b1e371ce2c2efcad179da5b90c447c6b6a8d61e31bb8941be6aae315d736f1/detection

8 False positives because it is a dropper.... AKA drops all the files it needs from it's resources to your local appdata into a folder like this: C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local\SSH_Unlock_asic.to_Taserz\ You can see it's just the batch files along with curl, winscp, and the files we are using to remove the signature.

Let me know if it has any bug as I have only tested it with 1 machine but it is pretty straight forward none the less.

237  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain to release S17E 64TH on: November 28, 2019, 01:00:35 AM
That was sarcasm Mikey! Btw Marco was awesome bought a coupon off him. But yeah Wu is a little fuck head. But at the same time I like cheap gear.
238  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain to release S17E 64TH on: November 28, 2019, 12:15:50 AM
I GUESS it is what they did.

They sure compensated you super well for being one of the first to jump on the new product...... I hate them sometimes honestly.
239  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain to release S17E 64TH on: November 28, 2019, 12:04:03 AM
I have 1 coupon  for 368  buying yet 1 more s17 pro looks tempting.  1599-368 = 1231 + 120 to ship =1351  and maybe no trump tax.  With paypal six months no interest.

I talked with frodocooper about a special thread on the bitmain coupon/refund situation it is a very unusual deal they are doing so I will be able to create this thread in hardware as a one time exception .  i.e. we do not want it to get lost in service discussion. As the thread may help out more then 1 or 2 or even 10 forum members. To get their fair refund/credits/coupons.

Edit I used my 368 coupon and purchased 1 more s17pro.  Cost was  1350 with shipping after coupon. If I get another Malaysia unit I will be at 40 for tax about 1390 usd for a unit that sold for over 3000 less then a month ago.  Yeah  I got caught up on 2 s17pro's and paid 4900 + 1200 = 6100 for 2 pieces.

But  with trump tax not applied due to  Malaysia builds  the next 2 cost  1550 and 1350 = 2900 for 2 pieces.

so with cost averaging 4 for 9000 = 2250 a piece.

I am assuming they rewarded you with hefty coupons for preordering at such a premium?
240  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: SSH Unlock & Signature Check Removal Unlock Tool • For Antminer S17 and T17 on: November 27, 2019, 07:30:54 PM
Well you're in luck! This works with all S17 and T17 models. (for the unlock and signature check removal)

Ahh I see. Do you want to half it now or half it once the halving comes when you will really need that extra efficiency?

The + is still a work in progress for the 17 series. For the non + models should have it posted by the end of the week or start of next week.

For the S9 firmware in rocketship thread will work on S9 and S9i. You can use BTC Tool to mass flash them. But I would first flash one. Lower the settings and get around 70w/th or less if you can. Then you can flash all the others and there is a setting to scan for other S9's and mass deploy the settings you fine-tuned to the rest of them. For instructions check out this: https://asic.to/documentation/ it will detail pretty much every step involved for the S9. It will also be similar for the 17 series when ready. But 70w/th is def doable with S9. With 17 series I have not even played with downclocks yet but I plan on it once my next machine lands but it should be promising.

If you don't have a computer at the that location Phil you should setup like a raspberry pi with a vpn client running on it. That way you can always just vpn and play with them. (also could then TV into you and help if you needed it)
