443  Economy / Economics / Re: In times of war, Gold rises. What about Bitcoin? on: October 18, 2023, 07:03:59 PM
Or you can instead say that gold is older than in Bitcoin. But, BTC isn't a new invention because it existed I think for 14 years already. Many people already know and use it but maybe many of them are still not involved with it for different reasons. If those average people on the street also know Bitcoin, I'm sure they will now prefer it more than gold, for the fact that BTC is digital.
Basically, when there is a war, bitcoin gold will be the best store of value for the future. Because these two assets will not be affected when the war occurs, and these two assets will continue to increase in price. It's true that gold is older than bitcoin, but bitcoin is the future of technology. We cannot withstand technological developments that continue to develop rapidly.

Quote
Even though they panic and their house got destroyed, they still can access their BTC later on but this may not always be the case with the gold because they are too bulky. Gold can rise and so as Bitcoin. In fact, BTC despite being newer than it, it value already surpassed it. And there are still more to come with it later on.

In a war situation, especially if you are in a war-torn country, Bitcoin is the main choice rather than gold. Because gold storage is too heavy to carry everywhere and bitcoin storage only requires carrying a wallet seed phrase. Storing bitcoin is easier and safer than gold.
444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: October 18, 2023, 06:39:40 PM
Dollar will be there. You need a dollar to scale/calculate your Bitcoin value. Both could be the same in terms of popularity. But I do not think Bitcoin will take over the dollar anytime soon. Do we expect it? I don't know. But where there is a good side, the opposite exists as well. But we don't know the future. You could be right as well.

Bitcoin can not only be scaled or calculated in dollars, but can also be calculated in any fiat currency so that Bitcoin can continue to be popular on its own without having to depend on fiat currency. And Bitcoin may not overtake the dollar any time soon, but as more people start to feel more comfortable using Bitcoin in various sectors they will need to. Maybe dollar users themselves will prioritize Bitcoin over dollars so that dollar use can be reduced compared to Bitcoin in countries that have legalized Bitcoin, such as El Salvador.

The dollar will remain in El Salvador and the bitcoin will be used by whoever wants to use it, and it is true that bitcoin is not affected by any fiat currency. But I am sure that one day bitcoin will overtake the dollar, because bitcoin is hope and bitcoin cannot be avoided.

If this works in El Salvador, the future of bitcoin is beyond doubt. El Salvador is a real case study for other countries and companies. If I were a citizen of El Salvador and had a business with all its fluctuations, I would be happy to use bitcoin transactions because the benefits are very real. I hope that one day my country will also follow the steps forward like El Salvador. Since I believe Blockchain Technology is the future, all governments should invest in this new technology better than later.

Give Onana more time to adapt well, he only has 11 games with Manchester United. There are players who immediately fit into their new team and there are those who don't, so let Onana adapt well for his first season and see what he can prove after that.

Ten Hag gives full confidence to Onana to appear in various competitions. Onana's lackluster defense and high self-confidence appeared to cost the team on several occasions, but that is more likely to be changed rather than allowing him to play without the control of his coach. Ten Hag is responsible for his team's performance, so he has to manage everything well.

Yes that's right. Don't be quick to judge Onana too badly because he has only played one match with Man United. Because actually he is a good goalkeeper for modern football games like today where goalkeepers must also be able to help build attacks. Man United must give him time to adapt and I think ETH still trusts Onana in the next match.

If I may say so, this type of goalkeeper like Onana is really suitable for Pep Guardiola to handle, this type of goalkeeper is indeed Pep Guardiola's favorite. He is a great goalkeeper, in this era it could be said that this type of goalkeeper is rare, but at the moment Onana is in the wrong place.

There is currently a giveaway going on Twitter where you can have a chance to win $50 and you only have to guess the number for it which is worth taking part so here try your luck whosoever is interested in it

https://twitter.com/Roobet/status/1714134820278984796?t=LgC4XJzHHFrBrtWFSC9Low&s=19

468 reposts now so supposing everyone joining has equal chances and since there are two prizes for 2 different users your chance to win at this moment is around 0.427%
do you think it's worth joining?

well, if you don't join there's no way to win, right?

I often enter Roobet giveaways on Twitter, and it is very difficult to win a giveaway with such a large audience. But I never give up, every time I open Twitter I take the time to always look at their latest tweets to find out if they are holding a giveaway. There's no harm in taking part in the Roobet giveaway to just try your luck against other players even though the chances are small. Cheesy

ohh. so they are now focusing their giveaways in twitter this is also the reason why they did not bring any of their past guessing in our humble games and rounds section.

Have you win any of those games in  twitter mate? thanks for sharing here I will partake of course now.

they have been doing giveaways on twitter for a long time now.

Yes, it's true that they regularly hold giveaways. Holding giveaways on Twitter feels obligatory to entertain Roobet followers and this is also done by other platforms.
447  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of war on global economy. on: October 17, 2023, 06:26:04 PM
That is true. There is no real winner when it comes to war as there are always prices to pay, and by that what I mean is that each of us (even those who are not directly affected by it) will feel the effects of war soon enough. In order for a country to get back up and return to how it used to be there will be repercussions. Even the arms dealers will soon feel the negative effects of war despite claiming that they are the ones who will be rained on by the good advantages brought by war because at the end of the day, they will also have to purchase stuff, have access to transportation, communication, and build relations-- all that were directly affected by war.
Talking about war, not only about who is the winner but depend with war regarding defend their land, religion and their freedom and why war can't stoppable until right now. Beside have another important thing with war as business and why can't stop for longer time war keep continues around the war. We can see with United State as country selling their gun and help some countries get war invasion, last year helped Ukraine by giving thousand hundred of gun machine and right now have rumor on media about their gun using in war between Hamas and Israel, who get benefit with war as business and some citizen try to defending their land but have interest conflict as business make war can't stopping yet.

Yes, in war it is not a matter of winning or losing. But those who benefit from war, in this case, are those who sell weapons. Talking about how the US, IMF, other countries, and banks continue to want to provide aid to Ukraine. But this “aid” is actually a loan.

And Ukraine is already in debt. If everyone in the world wanted the best for Ukraine, they would cancel its debt. After this war, win or lose, Ukraine will have a huge debt that they will have to pay off. This is also what happened in the war between Israel and Hamas fighters.

Actually, war was not good because it destroyed the dreams of many young people. Making them flawed, bitter and cruel. Life is too short and precious to fight a war right now. War cannot give life, war can only bring suffering to all parties.
448  Economy / Economics / Re: Isreal and Palestine war and losing your wallet phrase and password on: October 17, 2023, 05:55:23 PM
Have you consider that you lose all your coins because the wallet phrase to your coins and PC burn in a war.
So what will you do if you survive after the war to start back your financial struggling and your crypto investment journey. Or can you get the coins back?
It's basically not a good idea to save your seed phrase (private key) on your computer or smartphone or write it down on paper and store it in your home safe. Because the seed phrase is the key to our crypto asset wallet, and if someone gets access to the wallet, they can steal all the assets in the wallet. Likewise if we live in a country that is being hit by war.

So it is important that we store it in Stainless Steel or better yet washers, bolts and nuts that are water and fire resistant. By engraving your phrase on it, you can then store your initial phrase in a safe location known only to you and your family.
449  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Berani mengambil resiko apakah salah satu tindakan menuju sukses on: October 16, 2023, 05:33:26 PM

Although this is a Merseyside Derby but obviously, that Liverpool and Everton have qualities that I think are much different. So yes, because this is a Merseyside Derby then I think, their previous match results will not be able to guarantee anything. Because usually, when they play in the derby match at least quite often also the not seeded team can play better in the derby match . But for the match between Liverpool against Everton, in essence I remain confident that Liverpool will continue their winning trend in this Merseyside Derby.

The Merseyside Derby match always attracts attention, because in every derby match, of course, prestige is at stake. Although in this derby match, Liverpool are the favorites to win against Everton because they are playing at Liverpool's home ground.

But Liverpool's current situation will not appear at full strength, because four important players are injured. Of course, this makes Klopp a little confused about choosing suitable players for the derby match later. Plus, Liverpool's schedule this month is quite busy. After playing against Derby they have to play in the Europa League and in the EPL with a break of only two days. Liverpool play in the Europa League against Toulouse on the 27th, then against Nottingham Forest on the 29th.
451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you ever feel tired of waiting? on: October 16, 2023, 04:40:02 PM
It's true that sometimes it's hard to be patient when investing in bitcoin, but usually people don't have patience because they make bitcoin investing their full time in life, they only rely on investment without other work. This makes him wait a long time to achieve his target or he only relies on profits from investments to meet his daily needs.

Learning to be patient has no definite theory or formula, but we can learn from the history of Bitcoin and people who have successfully gone through this. Indeed, many say investing is boring because you have to wait a long time, but believe me, with patience we will achieve success in the future.

The point of investment is to seek profit. Whether long term or short term, the important thing is profit. Everyone's investment style is also different. Some people trade or invest. There is nothing wrong as long as you have patience and mentality.
452  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Is Better Than Digital Gold on: October 16, 2023, 03:18:44 PM
Gold and Bitcoin, two distinct stores of value, intertwined in the modern financial landscape. Bitcoin's meteoric rise as a digital asset speaks to its growing significance, with a market cap now rivaling physical gold. A fascinating convergence of traditional and digital wealth.
These two assets are likely to continue to compete indirectly through the number of users over time, because Bitcoin users will also continue to grow and Bitcoin will also continue to be well known to all people, just like gold which is also well known to many people. So competition in terms of value and market capitalization will continue to exist between these two assets so this will be very interesting to see, because Bitcoin is a little more modern than gold even though gold can still be relied on as a store of value for most people.
For me gold led me to bitcoin. Being in both is a good thing to avoid inflation, I realized that these two communities have very similar narratives. There is no reason this or any other narrative should exist in either community. Both must be owned and society must be united and must have both, as has been explained, Bitcoin is a modern asset that exists today.

Because the only reason Gold has remained a universal form of currency for this long is because for most of history it lacked the advanced industrial technology to replace it. With the presence of Blockchain technology, bitcoin is always better.
453  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Governments Ban Cryptocurrency {Bitcoin} on: October 13, 2023, 04:44:02 PM
I think there are more reasons why they are just banning bitcoins and want to disconnect themselves in any way shape or form regarding cryptocurrency. due to the fact that some people are still ignorant of it, their people might become prone to many Ponzi scheme scammers that are on the loose who used bitcoins as their props to fool people. it's important that they have some basic knowledge first and some preventive measures on how to protect themselves from such scammers and hackers as well, in order to save themselves from false investment platforms and other scenarios that lead them to lose all their savings. that's why some governments take countermeasures in order to protect their citizen but as soon as their people are aware of all of this they lift the ban and stay neutral about it.
I also hope that the reason the country bans bitcoin is purely because of the reasons you say. There is no other meaning.

But imo, This is mainly because the government cannot regulate and track it. The government wants to be able to investigate your bank activities if necessary, freeze assets, obtain taxes, etc. Since it was distributed, Bitcoin exists in many different locations at the same time. This makes it very difficult for one regulatory agency to impose its will across national borders. This also means that the government or other third parties technically cannot raid an office and shut anything down.

Apart from that, what makes them afraid of bitcoin, because bitcoin is a combination of finance, technology and utility along with an intellectual community and a socially open community. This leaves ancient ways of life behind and opens up many possibilities for a future as a global humanity without government interference.
454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: October 13, 2023, 04:00:10 PM
That's right, people who are addicted to gambling must immediately realize that they are in a very worrying situation, meaning they will continue gambling until all their money is gone. Wouldn't it be very sad if that actually happened to someone?

It is true that the temptation to gamble is very powerful if we are tempted repeatedly, and this triggers greed in a person to win, by gambling continuously then every thought is chasing victory and chasing defeat, and if he doesn't immediately realize it. . then it will become more dangerous for him, and regret will come after everything falls apart and all his money is lost.
Almost all gambling addicts feel the same way. They all can't control themselves when gambling, which makes their lives worse, even 7x worse, for those who have the ambition to reverse many losses in the hope of winning. Even if it drags on, they will still lose if they continue to play with an unstable emotional condition.

That's why we need a strategy when playing gambling, maybe one example of a strategy that can be applied is being able to control the right time to gamble, don't force yourself to play with a calm mind. After that, the strategy is to make it difficult to access money, meaning don't easily spend money as you please, you have to be smart about managing your finances, you have to make money outposts, for example how much you want to invest, how much you want to gamble on, apart from that, money for your daily needs.
455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: October 13, 2023, 03:14:41 PM
I also sometimes gamble at the office, and in my opinion almost all gamblers can now gamble anywhere because of modern developments where accessing gambling sites can be done anywhere using a smartphone.

However, after often losing when playing at the office, I finally stopped playing at the office, because after I evaluated playing gambling at the office and playing at home, it was more profitable to play at home because my concentration would be full on gambling, this is different when playing at the office with concentration. We will be torn between gambling and responsibility at work. And what's worse, if we leave it like that, it will become a habit so that we will no longer be smart in managing our time between gambling and work. My advice, before it becomes a habit, it's better to prevent it now.
456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 11, 2023, 03:53:47 PM
There's a new story at Man United. Casemiro is now seen as the team's weakest link. However, being the weakest link doesn't mean he's out of position. Casemiro is a good player, but age is catching up. He's giving his best, but he's slowing down, struggling to cover ground quickly or make swift decisions. Consequently, he's committing more fouls.
Every player has their ups and downs. Currently, he's not in top form, but it's hope that he'll bounce back.
I don't see Casemiro being Man United's weak point, in fact he has helped Man United many times when other players were unable to score goals. It's true that he's no longer young, but I see he's still reliable. For me, Casemiro is not purely a defensive midfielder, he is more accurately described as a flexible or box to box central midfielder (CM) who is able to attack well, but he is also very good at defending which is sometimes not like most box to box types. owned by the midfielder.

In my opinion, if Man United want to perform well, they should play Ambrabat in midfield with Casemiro behind Bruno. I'm sure Man United's game will be balanced and Casemiro will help in the attacking sector, it doesn't matter because there is Ambrabat.

For Onana, he is the type of goalkeeper who needs a solid defender or back line, for Ten Hag, don't rush into playing build up from the bottom because Man United's defense is not yet strong. If you want to play build up in the middle of the season, buy a defender with a midfielder who is used to building up. This strategy must be strengthened slowly one by one, don't suddenly change the playing scheme to a game that the players are not used to, as is happening now, they concede a lot and often lose.
457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My first Bitcoin on: October 11, 2023, 03:32:35 PM
Like you, I also earned bitcoins for the first time from signature campaign payments and this was a very extraordinary experience for me after getting to know this forum. The benefits were felt in my life before and after getting to know the bitcointalk forum.

It just so happens that I've been around crypto in general for almost two years, and known about this forum for almost a year. But before getting to know bitcointalk, I had never gotten bitcoin. I only earn altcoins from participating in airdrops and other giveaways from Twitter and Telegram groups. In essence, I got my first bitcoin from this forum, and I am determined to continue saving bitcoin every week from the results of the siganture campaign, I intend this as my dca strategy for investing in bitcoin for the long term.
No matter how you get your first bitcoin, the most important thing is that you know that it is truly a worthy long-term investment asset. You are certainly lucky to have the opportunity to take part in a bitcoin paid signature campaign, because of your skills in posting, you managed to get enough merit to climb the rankings.

I don't have the exact same experience as you, that's because I bought from my own hard work. In the end the goal seems to be the same, the bitcoin that I have had is my investment for the long term.

Of course someone's experience in investing in bitcoin will not be the same, the goal remains the same for the long term. and what you say is true, I am very lucky to know this forum so I can invest in bitcoin. It's true, I'm not as lucky as you. When you first learn about Bitcoin, you can immediately buy Bitcoin from the results of your hard work, because you already have free money to invest in Bitcoin. Well, if I don't have a stable income, I can't buy bitcoin, because in this forum we learn how to invest in bitcoin wisely by using money that is ready to be lost and not using borrowed money.

Sometimes I also feel sorry for the rich people around me, they have quite stable finances but don't invest in bitcoin. I don't know if they are still afraid or what, but what is clear is that they will regret it if they know the benefits of bitcoin but don't invest in bitcoin.
458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lessons of my experience and knowledge about Bitcoin on: October 11, 2023, 03:10:58 PM
Never trust Altcoin. This is advice from my personal experience and from the experiences of many others. After a long experience and many losses due to Altcoin, I was finally completely convinced that only Bitcoin can be trusted. Although in the beginning I made good profits from Altcoin, I cannot trust it at all.

It is true that Altcoin gives you greater profits than Bitcoin, but do not trust it because it can change in the blink of an eye and turn your profits into losses. If you want to venture with a small capital, that is okay, but I do not advise you to enter with a large capital at all.
Yes that's right. Don't believe too much in Altcoins, although Atlcoins sometimes give us profits, it can also be the opposite. Prioritize investing in Bitcoin, even if you have extra money, you can only buy altcoins that have potential.

Because in my opinion if you look at history, its aims and objectives. and differences in history, purpose and designation do not necessarily erase the classification of bitcoin itself. Coming to the conclusion that Bitcoin is the center of the crypto solar system, if in human history Bitcoin is likened to Adam, then other alternative coins are his children and grandchildren.

How about you guys, did you earn your first Bitcoin through services here on this forum? Are you mining or you bought it as well? Which crypto came to you first, is it Bitcoin or Altcoins? What are your Bitcoin source at the moment if you don't mind me asking?

460  Economy / Economics / Re: Early Retirement [Pros and Cons] on: October 10, 2023, 01:12:34 PM
Retirement is good but it was designated to be at certain age. For instance in my country the legal age to retire is 60 years, but you can only work actively for 35 years before retirement.
Agree. We have no problem with retirement when it is in an ideal age. For people above 60 years old, it is okay to retire from certain professions. In my country, Most civil servants or government employees retired about 60-65 years old. Meanwhile for private workers, the end of their career can be varied. It can be below 60 years or more. However, generally, it is true that 60 years is the common age for retirement.
In my opinion, the country will progress if civil servants aged 58-65 years are forced to resign or retire early, because the mindset of employees of that age is on average bored with their work, more money-oriented, and they even tend to already know. Weaknesses in the system in the institution give rise to opportunities for corruption. The average civil servant aged 58-65 years finds it difficult to adapt to technological developments.

It is true, if we look at performance compared to age, there are several civil servants aged 58 years and over who are still very productive and contribute more than the younger generation, but this number is still small.

So I agree with early retirement. It's best for those who are 58 years old and can retire so that the younger, more creative generation can have a place, and at that age you can retire so you can share time with your beloved family. If they are over 58 years old, their creativity and strength will weaken.
