Ok, understood. However there are some dynamics we have to consider:

1. Is the offensive that its virtual,  if so are we stating that its not virtual but an actual representative mining machine pegged per each account? Or. Are we defining hashlet as a virtual representative of aggregated then subsequently partitioned mining power ?

Are we redefining payout? If so how are miners reimbursed?  Is this model moving anticipated remuneration or some kind of non guaranteed recompensation system we need to define? If so we need to make sure its uniform across the marketing language

"Hashlet is virtual software. You will receive Payouts according to the Pool with with the Hashlet is associated. You expressly understand the the Company’s sole obligation to You is to Provide a Payout based on the Pool you choose."

When we were in the phone yesterday, I asked if it still said this. That it was virtual and our obligation was a payout. You said no that it had no mention of that.

Hashlets earnings depend on the pool chosen and Payouts reflect respective Pool Payouts. Selecting a Pool does not imply physically or electronically mining at the selected Pool. Rather, selecting a Pool determines a Payout corresponding to a calculation based on the selected Pool’s payout (based on, for example, real-time Megahash/second/day calculations). A Hashlet is virtual software. You will receive Payouts according to the Pool with with the Hashlet is associated. You expressly understand the the Company’s sole obligation to You is to Provide a Payout based on the Pool you choose. It may take 24-48 hours for your Hashlet to appear on Your Portal. Company reserves the right to refund You, and terminate services, at any time and for any reason. All sales are final. Pricing of Materials and Services is subject to change, at Company’s sole discretion, at any time, including after you have purchased Materials and/or Services (including Hashlets). Adding an item (such as a Hashelt) to a “cart” does not “lock in” a price. Maintenance fees may be adjusted up or down by the Company at any time and for any reason. Your Portal may not always be available.

Pretty much all Homero does as "CEO" "Chairman" "Genius" is sit around fuming at people pointing out his scam, then like the childish pig that he is sic's his lawyers on them to keep it quiet.l 90% of his emails consist of this. Not one single innovative thought, original idea, effort to build a business, just scam, weasel, dodging, slimming, slipping,  just a greasy slippery con man

Josh,

I’m preparing the letter based on your email to Brian, below.  Based on your comments and links, I’m assuming the posts below are what you guys find to be most objectionable, so they will be the basis for the letter.  If there are other things that I have missed, please let me know so we can get you the draft of the letter to Reddit as soon as possible.

I assume this is the false statement in the last link below?

“Update 3: And a couple more to underscore the point. From their own terms of service: "Hashlets are virtual service units related to mining services, but are not mining hardware." Hashlets are not real, might not have anything to do with hardware! "11. Termination and Modifications. a. Services may be terminated by us, without cause, at any time." And, GAW can simply cancel the service at any time and keep your money!”

    2. I don’t see anything hardware related in the “checking gaw against the SEC” thread (except a positive about your hardware in the comments].”

    3. For the first link, these appear to be the only real hardware related comments.  Are these the falsehoods you’d like addressed?

“They posted a picture of Josh Garza and another guy standing in a server room of miners, but I noticed they were all the same kind.

The picture could have easily been photoshopped anyway. BUT because there are two algorithms of hashlets, Scrypt AND Sha-256, that means that they are mining a scrypt coin or a SHA-256 coin, and that would mean that the miners are not nessascarily REAL.”

“I was told that this is the correct payout that I should have been receiving all along. It works out to be about right (i.e. if I was mining on my own), but the whole process was confusing and not well explained. Besides, I still don't know what a Hashlet is, and what advantage it has over buying actual hardware. At first, I thought the benefit was the extra payout and not worrying about hardware problems. Now it seems it's simply just cloud mining, which I was never interested in supporting.”

Thanks,

Ashley

Josh -
I think we should change our policy on what we offer un-hosting requests to a store credit if requested by the customer.

Since I know you don't like long emails, following in the boring stuff to justify this position. Read only if necessary or if you want.

A majority of the customers (I'm told) are requesting this instead of having their miner shipped. I suspect they are wanting to buy haslets, which are more profitable to our company. By doing this, it wouldn't put us in the awkward position of sitting on orders while we in some cases look for product to ship.

In some cases, their hosted product was virtual in the first place and we never had the inventory. This would also save us the expense of having to ship the product which can be expensive for international orders.

An additional benefit is the PR it would generate. It's a win for the customer.

Thanks,

Actual terms and conditions of purchasing btc.com - kind of interesting as they are quite stringent. Effectively got Homero by the short and curlies, one step out of line and they can seize it back. Probably explains why nothing has happened with it to date. In sum anything you do to sully the name of the domain we can reclaim it. At this late stage the mere mention of his foul name attached to it with some deft lawyering could pull it back. Snookered for 1 million. Another typical Homero Garza cluster fuck. LOL

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy  I'm on the floor, what a nutjob !

I want you to start a campaign.  I want to hire people whose only job is to follow trolls around and ask for proof.

That's it, they will not be a shill, as they do not need to talk good about us. The only thing I want them to do is ask for evidence.

Whatever you need for a budget, it's yours. Just tell me the number.

Every post? They can sometimes make a 100 posts a day, iI don't think we can handle every single one.
I'll let them know and start doing it at once, I'll give you a sample how we handled this tomorrow and let you decide if that's satisfactory.

If I had ~3 BTC for my guys per month (1 BTC each) they could probably spend 2x more time on this than they are doing now. Don't send me anything yet until you see the results in the next 1-2 days and then decide.

If they agree to do it we won't need much cash, as they are taking just 0.5 BTC/a month for this (each). It's not a full time job for them they are posting for maybe 2 h a day at the moment.

Also let me know what to do with people asking for a spot in the campaign and those asking if they should sign up after the 1st of December. If we continue in January I can sign them up, if not I'll just inform them that December is our last month and close down after Dec 31st.

Where is this rich genius Homero Garza exactly in all of this?  I know right here...

We should figure out how we want to handle things between us going forward, for not other reason so that we are on the same page. We dont really ever talk about it, but we  should, its has not be revised for years.

I think its important that we figure how we want to handle things as new things have been developed (some with your investment, and some without) And it will become confusing if we dont sort it out now. LIke you said, money changes everything.

I propose a simple solution, we split every system and company in half. I am both aware of the value of all you have invested in the past to get us here. As well as the value of the systems and companies (GAW Labs and VP) I have built. In its current course (even without Dan), GAW Labs will have over 3m in contracts by the end of the year.

The exception would be GAW HSI, which would you would own 80% of. I dont feel right about splitting GAW because of what you have invested. But I will continue to grow its value.

Going foard, here is what I am thinking, we will create a equal partnership (50/50) in our holding company "Geniuses At Work Corporation", you can have the voting power (I dont care). I will put in everything I have built:

                My equity stake in CP
Any patents Joe or I create
                My entire voice platform
The new App system (the one we talked about at Mt snow)
                smart-tech
                GAW Labs
Joe deal (I know you probably figure this is assumed, but the equity in GAW Labs (voice system) is how we are doing the deal)

In other words, I would split every deal and every system I have developed with you.

Here is what I would like:

10k per month investment paid to Geniuses at Work Corporation for 24 months (to pay myself with). I have coninued to lower my salary over the last few years (not complaining about)
Forgive the hillcrest debt (around 230k)
Allow me to live down the investment you made in GAW in the past. I feel so bad every time its brought up. I will still/always continue to try and recoup your losses.
The 150k that you have already agreed to, per the term sheet we reviewed at your house. But I would like for this to only be a "one time" infusion. On other words, its not perpetual, and there is no exsepction of farther investment
                Help with Howard on CP

Hope you feel these are fair and reasonable terms. They are meant to be a starting point of a discussion. I think its important that we clear this up and move forward.

I am sure you get tired of hearing it. But I can never thank you enough for all you have done and continue to do. I am proud of everything we have done this year. GAW HSI, Smart-Tech, and GAW Labs are all cash flow positive. And we could have not gotten here without your support.

aaah starting to make some sense now.

Homero's redirecting all his domains to btc.com to pump up traffic in order to sell it, think he has gawlabs gawminers, shitcoin.com, paybase, immafool.com, homerothehero.com ... whatever all redirecting there to inflate traffic stats.

From:    EP <xoanek@o2.pl>
To:    josh@btc.com

I know this week was a busy one, and you might have not read all the emails I sent you so maybe this will bring you up to speed.
I could make the reports more detailed, or just quote the most important things beside linking the forum posts, you decide how you want it Smiley
It's also possible to group the topics, so the ones that should go to support are separate from the rest.

The attitude towards GAW has changed a bit. A month ago people were demanding photos and shouting ponzi, now they more or less accepted that the business is real and one of the leading service providers.
Most complaints are on the hashtalk bans and the marketplace. I've seen a lot of people suggesting you not to ban every single person questioning you or the moderators. You said yourself during theat small conference few weeks ago, that you want people to leave suggestions. All these baned people just go to other forums like bitcointalk and reddit to cry about it.
Some of the trolls are also sent by LTCGear
Example:
A guy comes and calls you a ponzi, because you sent new miners instead of used ones when someone asked for his units to be shipped
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=720844.msg9174837#msg9174837
And in his next post, he openly recommends LTCGear. So a lot of these posts are fueled by the competition.

We are being supported by some random guys from time to time, don't know if they are GAW's clients or not, but at least 50% of positive comments and troll bashing comes from these people, so we have a lot of fans on the boards.
Bottom line is, we could really have less frustration if hashtalk mods went easy on the bans, maybe they should give out warnings first or tag the acounts somehow to know that this guy already got a warning and can be banned next time he goes out of line?

SUPPORT THREADS:

The second issue is the marketplace. There were 2 problems I came across this week:
A guy who claims his price changed while the hashlet was on the market and he got paid less than he should. You answered that it was his fault, but Samantha told him that other people had same issues and that the case is being investigated, which just assured him he's right. Not much I can do in this situation.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=809563.0

Another issue is a guy who admits he wrote a wrong price, but couldn't cancel the transaction. It would be a good thing to make the marketplace more noob friendly. Make them enter the price twice or allow them to cancel the transaction within a certain time (like 5 min).
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=815230.40

There's a similar thread with a claim made by a scammer, nobody cares about it or answers.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=818650.0

We also have a thread in which some hater whines that the fees are too high and you could drop these and make a profit. Completely ridiculous whining, and the guy has problems with basic grammar and layouts.
His posts look like written by a child.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=731537.80

A thread attacking one of your support guys, who didn't know what blockchain.info is. It's not active the guy just said what he thinks and didn't pursue it further.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=816331.0

There was also that jet case. Some people envied you and some went into rage mode that you are financing all that with their money. Maybe it's better to play humble and not show the Ferrari Cheesy
When you bought btc.com I started getting similar messages from people asking if i'm the one behind the deal. Where's money there are scamers and beggars.

I haven't got cash for another month of the campaign, and no response to my previous emails, so I guess we'lll be closing down this month. We still have ~80 members, so if you want to do anything just let me know.
I got another resignation today due to "ethical reasons".

I will be DISCONTINUING your well run GAW tag line campaign, with regrets (no reflection on Evil Panda or others here)
I can do virtual cloud mining (people can make choices)...I can do say show a Gambling tag line (ditto people are adults can make choices)
But I CAN'T do a paybase (paycoin) Tag line in that I am of the view it is not an ethical campaign (folks can do their own research on other threads and make their
own conclusions on GAW and Paybase etc...don't want to dirty up the thread here)

This guy here said that he earned money investing in GAW projects but has some concerns and would like to contact you if possible.

Today I read that GAW_CEO is claiming that many are dumping their coins and he warned them. I know Josh and Hashtalk community do not post or come to bitcointalk, but Josh if you read this, answer me. I asked you some questions in my tickets, you did not reply any of them. You can write me a PM or to my email registered on ZenCloud if you want to discuss my issues with GAW.Hope my report will help communtiy to make right decision and on other side GAW can maybe see that there are some very important points which have to redesigned so everybody can be happy.I wish you all best in 2015.

Posted a bit in this thread, but some people are spamming from multiple accounts. Since paybase started having problems there's so much spam the thread is basically unreadable. Below is just a sneak peak.

These off the wall hate posts are so over the top it makes me wonder if they are not actually some sick Cointelpro from the GAW camp to discredit what is being said here in this thread.

Yup, we are hate posters and came to derail the thread Cheesy You must have missed a few pages of sockpuppets posting gifs and laughing at disabilities.

We added some posts into the paycoin thread.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=900970.msg10005265#msg10005265

A new paycoin thread, people are calling it a failure, some are defending:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=911070.msg10005050#msg10005050

Seriously, its not looking good. Hashtalk is melting down ... people are really getting riled up ... now its offline.
Gaw needs to do something if they want to restore some faith and, above all, trust. They made promises and now they pull back. Not good.

Paycoin made a name for itself in few days. I can't think of any coin that has done it in such short time. Call it ponzi, call it scam or whatever you want but it has achieved what all crypto can only wish for in such short amount of time.

Added a comment.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=911070.msg10013656#msg10013656

People are asking in this thread how much GAW made on paycoin. Adding comments:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=911853.msg10013838#msg10013838

I think Gaw developed a loyal following in the early days by selling hardware and cloud mining.
Apparently he treated his customers well and many will attest to making money.
Declining prices pretty much made hardware and cloud mining a losing proposition. That's when the Paycoin idea was hatched.
Was it a grand exit plan? Who knows.

They will think of something. They have the money to do it and they aren't people who pack their bags and run.
The facts are that people, who bought hashlets from GAW early made a lot of money, those who didn't because bitcoin went down and mined hashpoints instead, also made money.
If you mined paycoin you also made money, so IMO GAW is a succesful company.
If you came to the party to sell early and bail without profit, don't blame them, blame yourself.

The overal attitude remains negative and people are recomending to dump it.

This paycoin thread went completely off topic.

 Cheesy Cheesy

"EvilPanda's" little campaign. Gawd this is all so hilarious you could not make a funnier comedy out of Homero's entire company and the operation of it

Quote
The campaign has 78 posters and takes 5.5BTC to run for 30 days, so this will be enough until the end of August.
We mostly have Sr. Members now so most of them get 0.1BTC per month.

Thanks for the thread.  I bought a Falcon today during the sale.  Wanted the War Machine and had it in my cart but when I went to complete it, they were sold out.    Sold my 2 Blades on Ebay which actually paid for the Falcon, so definitely happy with going from 11mh to 27mh and not costing me anything.

Some guy was asking how to make Falcon quieter I pointed him to the thread on hashtalk.

Josh,

I hope you are well and thank you for your patience.  Prior to providing
a decision on your application, our underwriting team would like to see
proof of income and proof of residence.  The proof of income would be
your last two years of 1040’s.  The proof of residence would be a
utility bill with a statement date within 30 days of delivery in your
name to verify your current address listed on the application.

Also, I spoke with our paperwork team, and you are ok to register the
car to your VT address with a CT delivery.

Sincerely,

From May 26, 2014 through to November 16, 2014 Homero is tracking his wife's internet activity 24/7. every site she goes to, what she searches for etc

Has anyone informed Missy about this? Perhaps all emails and all reports should be sent to the multiple email addresses she has use of?
