I also back Fuse in this one fully simply because algorithm change is needed rather now then tomorrow! As there is no time frame given for the simulator and algo change. Don't get me wrong this is not a problem but we need a solution in the meantime.
I have gone through the last 100s of pages again and also to catch up on what I have missed. As much as I don't like Investerdeers attitude he was right all along about the delay the simulator would have on the changes needed. I think a Digi solution would be good now and then the team can focus on the simulator again like Veertje said. Thanks to people like fuse who push things. edit: Ok Investerdeer I see you giving away your 20 000 towards development of NLG, maybe I am wrong about you.  |

Community Alert!!! Digishield is not going to be a magic bullet against Clevermining. In fact, expect network difficulty to hit new record highs and be 'stuck' for long periods of time. If Clevermining hits the NLG network with 10x or 20x hash-rate of the base nethash, the difficulty will hit 10x or 20x in a blink. Digishield deals very aggressively with hash-rate spikes, and when Clevermining exits, taking the hash-rate with them, the network is going to be 'stuck' at a very high difficulty. This Digishield doing its job, reacting quick enough to make it unprofitable to attack the network with high hash-rate. No one knows how Clevermining or its profitability algo will react to this change. Terk may continue to test the network looking for a way to get coins at a discount. Depends on the tenacity of the Clevermining team as to how many cycles the network has to go through till Clevermining discovers how to best handle the changed diff algo. Do not expect Clevermining to go quietly, NLG has been their cash cow for many months. I am expecting new record highs of difficulty and some long, grinding sessions before the network achieves equilibrium. What I don't expect to see is false difficulty lows and Clevermining minting the majority of the blocks in a 24hr period by attacking. If Terk decides to park 20x hash-rate on the NLG network for a few days or weeks, Clevermining will own the NLG network by brute force, but not at a discount as they have been. The NLG dev team and community need to have realistic expectations of the upcoming difficulty algo change and the above is what I expect to happen. Clever taking >50% and long block times.... or Clever only causing long block times. I would prefer the latter. It's a real pity the simulator is not ready but I can see why you advised to decrease the block times to 75 seconds as it would reduce the long block times by 100%. |

Any thoughts on formulating a algo action plan? I'll give you a few reasons why we should:  -Fuse After the raise in price Clevermining start 'using' the opportunity again. So there is where price manipulation, besides dedicate mining, can make the shortterm difference in network stability. Seems like some dedicated miners stopped or lowered their hashrate too... But for sure, we need some chance now, we wait far too long, some people lost their interest/patience and walked away from Guldencoin. Most (or at least many) projects are postponed.... etc etc Reading back learns that the Guldencoin team works 100% at new algo. They can use some help too, don't know if someone offered some in the meantime? Also, @Fuse, you mentioned DigiShield. Did /GeertJohan respond to this or is there another agenda? What is the easiest action to stop this CM terror? The easiest option would be digishield but looks like the team want to make sure by creating the simulator, however I feel the simulator was not worked on enough and from Geerts last msg it's as if the team wants others to do the work now which is making it a bit more difficult since it has to be done in GO. Why not just complete the project early next year, do the algo change and then take a break from guldencoin for a month. This needs to be given more urgency so we don't run out of lubrication for clevermining while he ass rapes the coin. There is over 6.6 million left of the premine. Why not use some of the premine to get this sorted out? to all the guldencoin lovers have a good weekend! CONGRATZ Fuse!! i was forget that Congratulations on your second daughter Fuse! On the mining front it looks like clevermining is now under 50% at these prices. Also buyers will come back once the simulator and algorithm change takes place, it looks as though the market is starting to feel this is only going to take place next year. I also cannot with a good conscience vote for /GeertJohan until the simulator has been completed so hopefully that happens this month. I thought investeerder was a bit of a asshole but looks like he will be right and all of us wrong.  I don't think it's a big deal that we have to wait until next year for the simulator and algorithm change if the price stays as is, it's just a major issue if it goes over 500. |

I just want to give a very gracious thanks to all of you who gave well wishes. This is our second daughter. Our first, who is now 4yo, is named Liberty. This baby, born 14:54 pst, was 6lbs 7 oz and 18". Her name is Hope. Mom and the baby are happy and healthy, and dad is exhausted from trying to sleep in these very uncomfortable chairs lol.
Additionally, thanks to everyone again for your understanding with the pool issues today. A special thanks to those that messaged me here and through other sources to let me know that things weren't right.
I'll be home tomorrow, and I'll drop back in and see how things are going.

That must of taken a lot of begging from Nelis but now they have to lose fees keeping trades up on both exchanges. As you can clearly see in the cryptsy buy orders all 100s which means it's 1 person playing with himself. NLG should get added when the exchanges want to add us, we shouldn't have to beg and bribe. Just my 2 cents. |

I am super surprised this service did not get more media attention? Wasn't this a first for any crypto currency? Thanks bluestreet, the main objective of the paysafecard project was to give users more options to get their hands on Guldencoin and there will be more buying options in the future without the need of having btc as a "middle man" for the end user. More News.About 2 weeks ago I spoke about a tier 2 project being released next month, well this will most likely be delayed until January/early feb but let me just say this is the most exciting project that is being worked on by us but the delay isn't without reason. This is because something else is being worked on that will help the underlying network and give more users access to Guldencoin... I don't want to say too much but it will be a very exciting addition. The tier 2 project is yummy, very yummy indeed. Can't wait for these new projects!! |

is there any news about the simulator yet, will it be up and running this week?
Another 2 months or so, but with all these other updates coming in the last week the simulator has taken a back step in focus and also litesires idea of keeping the buys under 400 is working until the algorithm change takes place. So Kudos to the community and users for listening to that advice from litesire. I hope you wrong but we know iOS still hasn't been submitted to Apple and that was meant to happen end of September but it's been waiting on the algorithm change. I think we are most likely at the worst point in the coins history when it comes to updates from the user guldencoin and /GeertJohan. Lets hope we do get some positive feedback within the next week from them otherwise we going under 300sat. Don't worry, look at what other projects the community is bringing out. This is far better then relying on everything from one team and this is the reason guldencoin is better then every other alt. From my Point of view the teams main responsibility is making sure the blockchain is stable and they going to be doing that this year I am sure. LTEX is also doing something next month so lots to look forward too. |

Next resistance will be around 1800-1900 sat (I have a lot of large orders around that point as a result of pushing clevermining below 50%).

I imagine further promoting is waiting on the algorithm change so new users won't have to download new wallets so soon after first introductions into Guldencoin, unless invester is right about the algorithm change taking another 6 months to implement then more promotion should be done now.
