For those who think EFL has something to do with this, just think again. We are very busy to implement some new systems and a large educationprogram that should convince people in Holland to use cryptomoney and everybody knows we focus on EFL. That's no secret, everybody reading our newsletters (like you there  ) can read what we're doing. We don't need any trouble with any cryptocoin, including Gulden. If Gulden should go broke at this moment (Nobody is expecting that) it would hurt other coins as well. Including EFL and Bitcoin. So hurting Gulden should be a very stupid action. The dutch economy can handle more than one cryptocoin without any trouble. There's no need at all to harm each other. So the best thing we do is to wish you a lot of success. Your success is good for the both of us. I agree with de buurman. It wouldn't be EFL , it would be stupid of them knowing they also open for 51% attack and same goes for AUR. Which only leaves psychoticboy working with GRS developers but what motive would the GRS developers have for hurting Gulden? They have never come on here saying bad things about Gulden and never been a war between the coins like they have with digibyte. |

The attackers have hurt various miners profits with the downtime on Bittrex exchange. We would like to fork a few coins in response to this that are not on our list of coins we mine. Please send a message to me on which other coins would attack Gulden and we will inflict some pain.
Please don't hurt AUR , I have +-20k coins and support both Gulden and AUR. Just to back up with @Waterloo... AUR has nothing to do with it. Gulden won't damage AUR or any other coin and vica versa. Period. I am really glad we got attacked at this point in time and not later which could have done really more damage. From now we are armed and ready to build the future for Gulden! Digibyte has had problems with the people from GroestlCoin in the past because they are super jealous that the GRS algorithm is associated with digibyte and not their coin. Gulden is more complex because of the hardened debates between NLG and EFL community, AUR members are also being upset with decisions taken with Gulden. Best to move on and be thankful that Gulden has a good development team that was able to respond in a timely manner. Ask psychoticboy if he knows anything. I read on the AUR thread Gulden got double spent, WTF!!!! I have updated my wallet.
Trackcoins is a troll, people need to wait a week and see if other coins get double spent. No other coin get attacked then it was a personal vendetta against Gulden and EFL, AUR have most hate against Gulden. Most people with AUR have Gulden, It's not them. Nelis/Yoshi wouldn't do harm Gulden and EFL don't have the skill to do it I think. The question is why Gulden? With Gulden having updated and being protected i wouldnt invest in any of these other coins. I have some EFL which I will sell on the next pump. |

Hey Guys,
I stalk a lot of forums and chats, rarely to I join one. I specifically joined this one for Guldencoin, I just actually want to get involved in the community. I will be 100 percent, I am in crypto mostly for pump and dump, because thats what 95+ percent of coins are on any of these exchanges. NLG is my only investment where i actually feel like this coin has potential to be adopted and I want to first of all give the dev's and this strong community credit for achieving the rare feat of creating a real coin, which can be scaled and adopted, even if just at a regional level.
Okay, so kissing all your asses aside, with the recent disabling in Bittrex i feel like we will have a drop in the NLG price. I am getting together some BTC to buy in depending on the overhype of this event, as a disabling almost always causes huge spike downward before a correction.
I know it sounds kind of basic but i wanted to get a feeling of how many of you are in the same boat? And if not, why have you lost confidence in NLG, to my newbie tech understanding this disabling was relatively minor and the devs reaction should instill confidence. Also just in general, why specifically do you believe or do not believe in NLG as a future significant crypto currency? What trends are you seeing in the trading, as i see a constant volume with a pretty good trading opportunity as the price is constantly cyclical, with an upward trend usually. Also what are your thoughts on the latest pump, does anyone have an idea of distrubition of the coins between groups, devs, whales, etc?
Hope these aint some basic bitch questions for y'all on my first post, but again I literally have no other coin in my alt crypto (obviously BTC is the other one) portfolio that I am long in and am not just p and d'ing. So just really interested in what you guys think, and if possible to get a clearer and more detailed understanding of the future plan for NLG, it's selling points, trading strategies, etc.

No confidence lost with me, this has made me more confident because it makes it clear that NLG is a threat to other coins and they want to destroy us. Tamilee made a suggestion to hit back at other coins if we attacked again and crush the whole of the crypto market for good. This way we all lose and not just Gulden investors and fiat wins. Then the fucks that attacked us can rejoice for taking down the only chance we had at a fair currency. Destroy so many alt coins that it makes news and destroys reputation of all cryptos including bitcoin. These attackers must be very happy I don't have the knowledge our dev team has of taking revenge. |

It mainly affects exchanges and vendors/merchants if targeted. We will be releasing our interim solution sometime today after further testing. The testing also included doing multiple 51% attacks on our test network and the results have been excellent. Since the dev team knows how to do 51% attacks will you retaliate against other coins if we get attacked again ? This will be a good way to get the attacker to own up? |

What's the frequency of the auto-checkpointing? Wouldn't there be time for an attack between checkpoints? Are you planning to just rollback transactions to the previous checkpoint if there's another attack?
It seems very unlikely that the attacker(s) would bother with NLG again, since afaik the only exchange is Bittrex, and you can bet they're going to keep a close eye on it, but it seems a bit disingenuous to say that you have solved double spending. The only way to prevent 51% attacks and double spending is to make the coin more centralized, which seems to be what is being done, that you kind of acknowledge with statements like "We will be releasing our interim solution...", where 'interim' implies it is a quick fix that will be removed later. I mean, if you truly solved double spending without centralizing the coin, you'd get the Nobel prize for crypto or something, right?
"Unlikely" unless you behind the attacks? No one knows what the intentions of these attackers are and they will strike again if there is no solution. Why haven't they attacked other coins?!?! |

These attacks is most likely to do with the announcement of Nocks as a fintech company for Gulden which was very big news for the currency. @Buerra any other coins that wanted you to add them to Nocks recently and you refused them? Could be, but it's pure speculation at this point. There were some coins that requested to be on Nocks, but I doubt that any of them would do this. We had some decent exposure for the company-news too as we're using other tools to gain exposure (other then the forums). About 2000 reads of the blogs I posted in relation to the news and another 3000 'views' on Twitter with about 200 interactions from tweets about the news/blogs. So yeah, WaterLooDown described it pretty aptly describing this as 'growing pains' on slack yesterday. This surely is a deliberate attack on Gulden, but I trust Malcolm when he says he has a fix and we'll just have to hang tight for the time being. We're keeping Nocks offline for a bit and until' Bittrex is back up (also needs the new wallet) we can't run our service properly at the moment anyway. This is deliberate. These coins have much less network hashrate on scrypt algo and never touched. AUR, EFL, DOGED, 42, CHC, FLO, GLD, BTA, SXC, EMD, LYC, BTM, IEC, NYAN, ARI, FRK, RPC, FST, MNC, SPT, QTL, CAT, EMC2, OMC, GLC and more. I bet none of these coins will be attacked after our dev team has come with a fix. |

Can anyone explain to me why this currency is going for such a low price? Are we lucky to be early adopters, no marketing? I compare to other coins and there is nothing that has better value.
In my opinion, low hype and no gimmicks. I suppose some may call these tactics (hype and gimmicks) 'marketing' however as many other coins have shown it is not sustainable, in the end massive hype leads to a massive crash, easy up easy down... Gulden is focused on long term sustainable growth and not short term gains and I for one feel this is much more important. Couldn't have said it better myself. EFL is only 7 positions behind NLG on coinmarketcap. This is not to start a debate but more to say that the developers made a clever move to have a very low coin supply. EFL have done no work and because of low supply might get ahead as the top countrycoin. I know psychoticboy is the main investor that keeps their price level elavated but interesting to see it only takes one person to push the value up on low supply coins. |

Any update on the Gulden exchange?
LTEX is concentrated on AUR now. He is better of as a teamplayer there, as he said. So his Gulden exchange is on hold now, i think. He made already preparations for it, so maybe in a later stadium? Don't know about that. I will keep my coins long term as an investor, but that is all I'm going to be from now, a silent investor.

Nocks developments for Gulden (and bitcoin) are going very well as it seems: We noticed a few replies asking about Nocks and its developments. We're certainly still here, don't you worry about that. We're not as active on the forums that's true, we are however active in the concrete world. Loads of meetings, meet-ups and leads have come our way during this progression that we're working towards. Can't really say much else other then, hang in there, because we have some cool stuff in store for everyone. We're aiming to release these cool beans of joy in November and beyond.
