Is 1.68 billion coins total supply after 40 years too much for a country coin ? I understand more then half the supply will be out in first 4 years which is putting pressure on the price. I can't understand why nlg is so low on marketcap when it is 10 times better then coins above it ? Can someone explain what the problem is ?
Blessing in disguise. Going to buy up a lot of coins under 300 if it gets to that price. It was obvious that a good working algo like Delta would have a negative impact short term. We getting in some cases over 8 times the supply we were on digi Algo. Praying the price goes to 250 so I can get A lot more coins. |

Nice idea! Which kind of products are you willing to offer? I'm wondering how this works out. I think for big orders €0,10 - €0,20 might be a quite big premium, but I understand that someone has to earn something on this (especially if you see how much efforts this service will costs. 0,10-0,20 might be even too less in that case). The true test starts now but on some decent stable mixed with jump pool hash DELTA works really well at least. A 2GH/s contract expired at occurred at 07:35 pm. Also keep in mind that delta is still in a 'transition' phase for the first 576 blocks, while it should work well in the transition phase we can only see its full final behaviour in action after that.

Keep in mind that we have currently a lot of temporary dedicated mining going on. That will reduce over the course of the evening. These blocks time are gold, maybe more people will find it worth mining with dedicated power but yes best to see how it performs by tomorrow morning. |

What if governments started targeting people holding crypto currencies. Would it possible for NLG to go full anon ? Technically speaking we have the development skills in our team to go full anonymous but unless something drastic changes in the crypto landscape where there is a government crackdown we won't be looking at it. The aim of guldencoin is to be used by people from all walks of life in their daily lives. So our priority is to add usable features and to make guldencoin as user friendly as possible. However we will always do what is necessary to protect our user base. Lots of new features will be coming in the next release after DELTA which will add more security to the blockchain and your wallets (Multi sig). This is good news. I got a friend to buy guldencoin this week, he was 50/50 until I mentioned you don't have to worry about exchange controls and with Nocks.NL you can use your guldencoin anywhere where bitcoin is accepted, because he travels a lot. Those 2 points sold him, so maybe something to try when you speak to others about guldencoin. |

DELTA PROGRESS:
We feel DELTA is pretty well balanced at this stage, there is just one or two minor tweaks we can make but won't have a major effect on the current way it's performing, as things stand we should be done with internal testing by the end of the weekend.
I have set myself a personal goal of having a release date for us by next weekend, so we really are pushing this as safely and promptly as possible

In the event DELTA is the magic bullet that works for the coin, is the team still going to go ahead with Multi Algo or just update the coin to latest bitcoin code?
It is not possible for a difficulty algorithm alone to fix all the problems the coin currently faces, it can go a long way to helping with the really long block times which is of course a major issue but it cannot solve everything the long block times are just the symptom of a larger issue, it is almost inevitable that we will still have to go ahead with multi algo as well although if in some unlikely event we don't we would have to do something else. A difficulty algorithm tries to predict the future, so there is no such thing as a perfect difficulty algorithm especially if it has to deal with giant hash swings. (Though obviously something better than the current one can be achieved) Thanks MaNI. It's good we moving forward with DELTA because mining is not easy for dedicated miners, thanks for making this decision for the good of guldencoin. |

Today me and Patrick released a few updates for Nocks. Nocks is a simple payment service you can use to pay Bitcoin invoices with Guldencoin. After our updates we now also offer: - Pay Guldencoin invoices with Bitcoin
- Exchange NLG into BTC and vice versa
- Available in Dutch and English
This means that all our merchants, like the Subways, Coffee Central and De Prins, can now also receive Bitcoin users in their stores and still only accept Guldencoin.
