Thats my first account here

So, if you're not bound to scam some user, You maybe better at reading some sticky rules before you get involved into a scam attempt.

323  Other / Politics & Society / Re: American Commandos Kill Senior ISIS Leader on: May 17, 2015, 07:08:39 PM
The most surprising part of the operation is that they didn't kill the wife. They almost never want to deal with the baggage of a combatant prisoner.

Should bear in mind these guys are special operations so they're very well trained assuming they've been trained by anyone halfway decent and the U.S government realises the reputation it has now for operations in the middle east so they're probably trying to get some good PR on the war.

By the way, I saw this news item on the BBC, it wasn't reported as delta commandos though they were simply called "Special ops.".

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-32764995

This kind of op may have been tasked both to Delta Force or its Navy counterpart, the Naval Special Warfare Development Group. Unofficial comments from media contacts may be even deliberatedly misleading to cover a classified op.  Wink
Delta don't exist! Ooops...i said DeltaGrin

Not saying you're wrong, but the comment I was replying to was talking about the rating, not the risked amount.

IMO, it is really noy appropriate to give positive trust when you receive a loan from someone as you are risking exactly zero.

I understand what you're saying. I would avoid saying this...but, in fact, faking the risked amount IMO means faking the whole rating.

327  Other / Meta / Re: If I pay 10 BTC for a donator account, can donators get red trust? on: May 17, 2015, 01:35:08 PM
Just wondering if I paid 10 or 50 BTC for the rank, am I protected in anyway from users like Quickseller / Vod's bullshit ratings without proof, meaning will negatives not turn my account into "trade with extreme caution -6" red?

If so, please Theymos message me the address to send 10 BTC to, thank you.

As many other members already said here: No, donators are not getting any protection against -ve trust feedback (see below); so, if you want to have +ve trust, you're better spending 2BTC to repay people scammed by KoS (likely one of your alts) than paying 10BTC to achieve a donator status.

329  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Google self-drive cars get green light on: May 17, 2015, 09:40:27 AM
This cars will not survive for a month in my country. There lots of crazy drivers and the software cannot predict this drivers.
These cars are better than average if not most drivers. Besides, if those drivers cause the accident they will get fined.
Regular drivers can't predict anything better than software, else we would have less accidents.

Not sure If a self-driving car will be better than an human driver at negotiating with not too clear, confusing, or vandalized traffic signs.

IMO, it is really noy appropriate to give positive trust when you receive a loan from someone as you are risking exactly zero.

He trusts the user for lending him BTC, what's wrong with that? You've given out (and been given) ratings for risking nothing, how's that different?

If caskey4521 (borrower) had left polynesia (lender) a 0BTC-risked feedback I could agree with you. However, the feedback he left is incorrect (see below) since he had not risked 0.05BTC at all; polynesia is the one risking the 0.05BTC not caskey4521 so I should have put a 0.00000000BTC risked amount instead.

So, actually yussuf89 (uid: 151256) is a bought, formerly hacked, account. Given is actual activity here, I'll leave him a neutral comment into his trust feedback page to remind others that the person actually controlling the account is not the same who received trust feedbacks in the past months.

I think yes, who bought the account has created the dice site and now he is managing it. Maybe it is also better to write something in that thread (only to be intended as warning). An user from the defaultTrust list (depth 2) should also give a neutral trust, because your trust is in the untrusted feedback section.

+1. Mine is better than none; however, if an user gifted with defaultTrust membership could leave a comment there it maybe a lot more helpful!  Wink

333  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-05-15] Xapo Moves to Switzerland Citing Customer Privacy Concerns on: May 16, 2015, 09:41:21 AM
I have heard about Xapo has underground "vaults" and 24/7 armed guards and video surveillance to protect their coins. I have always thought it was a marketing move. Now that Xapo is moving it's California headquarters to Switzerland because customers requested it, I might start to believe Xapo actually holds A LOT of coins for other institutions.  Roll Eyes

Quote
There are some customers that will bring more balances if we do this and there are some customers who have said we will work with you if you do this."

It's like a Swiss bank account, wealthy people like to keep it secretly tucked away out of sight and cannot be easily linked back to them. However, is this going to work? Last year, 3 or 4 Swiss banks including Credit Suisse and UBS were fined and forced to hand over names of Americans with secret bank accounts. Would this move from US to Switzerland make much difference?

Switzerland has scores of plus to be chosen as a safe BTC-storage dump due to country neutrality, internal stability and banking secrecy & privacy law (even if actually only a watered down version of the original one). Also in last decades, after the end of Cold War, Swiss Govt dismissed & sold scores of blast & fallout bunkers to private citizens and organisations, some were even turned into hotels, so you've also scores of suitable place to secure store the BTC Xapo customers entrusted into the company.

Good questions^. I had thought that these guys were positioned down in South America (Argentina?) but had their vault in some bunker in a Swedish mountain. Now, sounds like they were out of Cali and needing to bolt to Switzerland. They claim that they have the largest bitcoin holdings in the world and I'd like to know if that is true.
I am not sure whether Switzerland is the right place. In the recent past, the Swiss authorities have collaborated with their American counterparts, giving away bank account  details and other information. This has led to tax evasion charges being filed against thousands of individuals. How can anyone be sure that the same won't happen with Bitcoin accounts?

Switzerland probably still look safer & more friendly to Xapo's eyes. It took a lot of years to US authority partially have the data of US persons owning bank accounts on Swiss soil, I'm not sure a South American government and society stable enough to allow comparaison with the Swiss one could last any longer against US Govt pressure. By the while, fortune.com wrote a follow-on piece on the subject; here.

What do you have to offer as collateral? People will see this as a scam attempt if you don't offer any assurance Smiley

I can give out my personal identity and my work website! Smiley

Your personal identity cannot be sold by lender to recover the loss if you decide to not repay him the borrowed amount. Also, your account has a low post count and big gaps in post history - no posts between September 18, 2014 to May 15, 2015 and between October 26, 2013 to August 28, 2014 - so your account could be equated as a bought account or a new one. Even a website isn't a too valid collateral and can be considered as such only as long as you cannot recover it.
You suggest you to provide both a valid collateral and a proof you're SwingFirst account original owner, by signing a message with the following BTC-address from unedited past posts: 1DNwZfpCYkmPP82xty7HThv9ngadjQa2T2.
Thank you based OP for giving me this opportunity to make my ten bucks!  Smiley

Where to buy MCZ account? Is there any one who want to sell MCZ account?

If you want to buy a existing account, you should look into Digital goods or Marketplace (Altcoins) boards. Actually Mangocoinz (MCZ) is in a closed beta so, you cannot simply make a new account after a successful sale.
I had a spare account, but I missed the deadline to activate it before the beginning of closed beta, so I cannot help you.

I tried verifying bytezero's signed message posted below but the verifier at Brainwallet.org isn't working. Sad

The button to verify the message is missing and nothing happens after I paste in the appropriate fields. I tried it with a few other messages and the same thing happens so there must be something wrong with the site.

The message:

Bitcoin Address: 17ptMkiTdFV6U77aWonY9z9vEdTZ8xFTqg

Message: I bytezero signed own this address, May 15, 2015

Signature: IGATVJBOO9qisnYwmX1jaMj1nQpyIjHwmv7ngl8XHTgwQ0h+pMeHuvtRC3f7RzYLV+yledtaf9toQzftD4PfgFE=

You should contact brainwallet.org to report the issue - AFAIK, they've a twitter account - since posting here in the hope they pick your report is not helpful, and a little off-topic too.
I'm still using Bitcoin Core to verify signed messages and bytezero's one is still verifing as it was yesterday; so, it's brainwallet.org fault for sure.

Now, If You feel a need to continue this discussion, I suggest you to start a new thread in Service Discussion board or post in a already existing thread there about brainwallet.org (if on-topic). This is also for your own sake since you're wearing a paid signature.
