ich gehe eher davon aus, hier sind die tx fees gemeint. sei es nun withdrawal vom exchange oder wallet zu wallet. die werden ja nicht verkauft, die müssen sozusagen bezahlt werden um die tx überhaupt in Gang zu setzen.
Was ich geschrieben habe sollte auch für tx fees gelten: Sie werden zwar nicht auf dem exchange verkauft, aber sie werden hingegeben für eine Leistung. Also muss man wie bei einem Verkauf auch den Kursgewinn versteuern (falls innerhalb der Jahresfrist). So wie wenn du eine Pizza kaufst mit crypto. |

Ich kann's mal versuchen... Also mal als Beispiel:
Persönl. Einkommensteuersatz: 30%
Transaktionsgebühr 10%
Ich kaufe für 1000€ einen ganzen BTC bei einer Börse. Nach 9 Monaten ist der Kurs auf 6000€ angestiegen. Den BTC transferiere ich auf mein Wallet, Kann ich die volle 600€ Transaktionsgebühr als Verlust steuerlich geltend machen oder muss ich auf die 600€ zunächst 30% Einkommensteuer bezahlen (180€) und kann 420€ als Verlust geltend machen? Ich weiss jetzt nicht genau was für eine "Transaktionsgebühr" du meinst, aber ich gehe mal davon aus es ist eine mit der Veräußerung in zusammenhang stehende Gebühr die du in crypto bezahlt hast? Zum Beispiel eine Trading-Gebühr vom Exchange? Meiner Ansicht nach kannst du dann sehr wohl €600 Transaktionsgebühr als Nebenkosten gewinnmindernd geltend machen. Aber ja: du musst meiner Meinung nach auf die €600 (ich nehme an die TX-Gebühr wird in crypto bezahlt), da innerhalb der Jahresfrist veräußert, 30% EkSt zahlen. Aber nicht auf 600€ sondern nur auf den Gewinn von 500€ (Anschaffungskosten: 100€, Veräußerungserlös: 600€ => Gewinn 100€). |

wie Du aus einer solchen Zahlung dann ein zu versteuerndes Einkommen machen willst, is mir schleierhaft.
Wenn Du nicht gerade Miner bist, Blöcke baust und dadurch Transaktionsgebühren einnimmst, gibts da nix zu versteuern.
Ich habe mich vielleicht etwas unglücklich ausgedrückt. Die Gebühren zahle ich in Bitcoin. Diese Bitcoin habe ich natürlich zu einem früheren Zeitpunkt zu einem ggf. anderen Kurs gekauft. Daher meine Frage, muss die Preisdifferenz als privates Veräußerungsgeschäft versteuert werden? Wichtiger Punkt! Von mir kriegst du hier ein deutliches ja: wenn du Gebühren in crypto zahlst, dann impliziert das Veräußerung dieser coins, genauso als würdest du eine Pizza mit crypto bezahlen. Mit der Tatsache, daß du diese Gebühr ggf. als Nebenkosten zur Anschaffung/Veräußerung absetzen kannst hat das nichts zu tun. |

das irgendjemand einen Airdrop bekommt ohne in irgendeiner Form eine Beteiligung zu haben ist wohl ausgeschlossen. ist zwar eher die ausnahme aber doch sowas gibt es auch. zwar wirklich selten aber ist nicht auszuschließen. z.B. wurden damals 7,77 VIN an alle möglichen adressen versendet die irgendwo zu finden waren. Auf Exchanges kriegt man ständig irgendwelche shitcoins zugeschoben. Die tauchen einfach auf. Promotion halt. |

Zum Thema Ads/Bounties: Wenn man es systematisch betrachtet, bestehen bei ADs/Bounties im Wesentlichen zwei steuerlich zu beachtende Faktoren:
1. Um sie zu bekommen, muss man irgendwas "tun", also entweder bereits Coins besitzen
"coins besitzen" ist doch kein "tun" (side-note: die coins werden auch nicht "als Kapital eingesetzt") oder an irgendwelchen Aktionen teilnehmen, alos liken oder irgendwas, damit ist das hema Lotteriegewinn eigentlich schon durch, das irgendjemand einen Airdrop bekommt ohne in irgendeiner Form eine Beteiligung zu haben ist wohl ausgeschlossen.
Beispiel byteball airdrop: man musste lediglich nachweisen, daß man BTC besitzt. Das ist in meinen Augen kein "Tun". Auch die Führung des Nachweises selbst ist ja wohl keine "erbrachte Leistung". anmerkung: I habe bei mir airdrops als Schenkung versteuert und gleichzeitig als Kauf gebucht. |

sorry daß ich auf ziemlich alte posts antworte... Im Ernst: das Schlimmste wäre eine Einschätzung des FA, dass du für den Teil deiner Coins, deren Kauf du nicht belegen kannst, Einkommenssteuer zum Zeitpunkt des Erhalts zahlen müsstest.
Hast du also z.B. 100 BTC, für deren Kauf du keinen Beleg hast, bei denen du aber nachweisen kannst, dass du sie seit 2 Jahren auf einer Paperwallet hältst, wären das schlimmstenfalls:
100 x 500 EUR (Kurs vor 2 Jahren) x 44% (EKSt.*) = 22.000 EUR Steuern auf deine 100 BTC.
* kommt natürlich auf deinen Steuersatz an, + Soli + Kirchensteuer
Ok, 22.000 EUR wurden ans FA überwiesen.  Mal ausgehend davon, daß wir die 100 BTC gemine't haben (daher kein Kaufbeleg/keine "Anschaffung"), frag ich mich gerade, wie denn nu der Verkauf der 100 BTC versteuert wird. Ich hab das bei mir so gemacht, daß ich die Einkünfte (aus Arbeit/Mining/...) bei Erhalt als Einkunft gebucht hab und diesen Erhalt gleichzeitig als KAUF. Wie soll es sonst anders gehen beim Verkauf? EDIT: ich lese gerade: Na das wär ja noch schöner... Völlig steuerfrei bleibt der Verkauf eines privat geminten Coin. Dies teilte das Finanzministerium auf eine Anfrage von heise online mit. Who cares ? We care This is good to hear ;-). Sorry for sounding so negative before. I had been keeping my hopes up for AUR (and still do now) and had a temporary lapse of faith. I'm not talking about the value of my bag here (I decided long ago (and still stick to that decision) to go down holding that bag even if the ship sinks to the ground), and I hope that came across over time. My plan is to some day spend my AUR in Iceland. Either by buying a nice power plant or by buying a couple of beers, depending on where things go with Auroracoin. Well, no one can say that you have not played an important role in the project.
Thanks for keeping your Abe explorer up for all this time and providing airdrop statistics.
"important" is an overstatement, but I am happy to play a small part and it is fun. I've been running explorer.auroracoin.eu, been helping to keep the market "stable", been mining (at a loss) when we had the pool hopping troubles before multi-algo, tried to help a tiny bit with the code when I found issues and I've also been telling people IRL about the Auroracoin experiment here in germany. I always promote AUR as a "buy" when people ask me what altcoin they should get ;-). I would love to help adoption in Iceland somehow, but that's hard to do from outside the country.
I think the thing is that many people have come to the conclusion that mass airdrops,
in general, only lead to quick sell offs.... At this point though the debate is moot for Auroracoin.
However, Auroracoin has not failed... we are still working, growing and yes, pivoting (vertically) from our lessons.
New merchants are still being added and new relationships are being forged. Again, on the scale of a tiny north atlantic nation.
I can say with 100% certainty that this idea to found the Icelandic Blockchain Foundation
has been phenomenal in regards to Auroracoin legitimacy. There is no longer a sense of "hidden agendas" due to the objective nature of the group.
We have seen a tenfold increase in local interest, and generally people have been
pleasantly surprised to find out that Auroracoin is still contending quite well, respectively speaking.
10-fold increase? How did you measure that and in what timeframe did that occur? So keep those fingers crossed and keep an eye out for further developments.

Let's face it. You guys abandoned the project.
Took me a while to admit to myself but I came to the same conclusion. Unfortunately I cannot see what upsides AUR would have towards other coins like say BCH, DASH, ETH, XMR in the context of Iceland, neither for the potential people using those nor for the Cryptocurrency Foundation: I don't think many Icelanders claimed their AUR (I asume the claims were fraudulent to a large percentage) and if they did they turned around quickly and sold them. Another upside could be AUR being the sole coin traded on isx exchange, but I'm guessing this will change pretty soon? For me the Auroracoin Project was an experiment to see if an airdrop to a geographically isolated population based on "one head one coin" could work to popularize the coin and get people to use it as money. AUR was the most promising experiment in this direction as far as I know and I'm quite sad to see it finally fail. Some valuable lessons were learned. It's been a fun, entertaining and educating ride and I thank everyone involved in the project, especially the people in Iceland doing real work. Thank you. There's still some possibility the coin will survive in some meaningful way, but hope is getting thin... I can see how a shift of focus makes sense. The use of AUR funds given from premine may be questinable, but in the end: who cares... |

I'm doing taxes and information about how many icedrill shares I held would be very helpful to maybe declare some losses here.
Does anyone have an idea where to get information about my holdings of icedrill shares? I vaguely remember registering on some site after bitfunder went haywire. Is that site still up? Does it allow me to check my holdings?
Is there any kind of list of holders available or anything that would allow me to determine how much of icedrill I held?
Another question: what was a typical entry price? I assume buying was possible on bitfunder? Does anyone have a price history? In what time-range did I likely by my shares? Was there some initial offering price I could latch on to?
Any help appreciated.
