Hier ebenfalls. Komplett Kalt. Nicht komplett... Ich freu mich schon erheblich über den Anstieg. Erleichterung macht sich breit. Zeitweise finde ich's sogar richtig aufregend, sieht man vielleicht auch manchmal an meinen Posts . Hingegen die Korrektürchen enttäuschen was die Intensität der ausgelösten Emotionen angeht bisher. In meiner Erinnerung waren solche Zwischendurch-Korrekturen früher erheblich heftiger und ich kann mich an Angst, Panik und teils schwere Abstossreaktionen (VERKAUF SOFORT ALLES! RAAAAH!) erinnern. Ja, das kommt vielleicht wieder wenn das Ding von $4000 auf $2000 crasht... mal sehn. |

My guess is we wont reach 1000 dollars before a dump. Its well known that 1k is the target for alot of people to sell their bitcoins and whoever is doing the pump is well aware of this.

Eine Frage der Perspektive. Ich würde als Bänker auch nicht so ganz verstehen, wieso ich blockchain tech verwenden soll und wofür genau. (asked wether bankers perceive blockchain tech as nonsense or as a disruptive technology) On the surface, from a pure public relations perspective, they don't want to invest in it because a) they don't understand it. I think vendors are pushing this as a panacea for a lot of the banks clearing issues: basically "If we integrate this into your backend you can clear faster, you can settle trades faster", etcetera. A lot of the executives that I have talked to -- one to one, off the record -- say it's a bunch of [meleki?] and BS. And I agree with them as the way it's been sold to them because the vendors are taking a peer to peer technology and they're forcing it into a client-centric world, a hub-and-spoke world where it's centralized.
So of course it doesn't make sense to a lot of banks.
But: I explained to a bank executive just yesterday (a very high up in one of the most powerful banks): if you take the peer to peer technology and you give it to the peers, it works perfectly. The problem is: it cuts the banks totally out of the equation, because if you have peer to peer, you don't need a third party.
Now when I explained this to the banking executive, he got it immediately.

Was ist eigentlich der BTC-Preis damit die Miner wieder kostendeckend arbeiten können? Ich habe mal gelesen, dass er bei 700 USD liegt. Ist das richtig?
Vielleicht in Germanien. Die zivilisierte Welt (Stromkosten 0.1 USD/kWh) versenkt in 'nem Antminer S7 Strom für ca. 235 USD/ BTC. Dazu noch ein wenig Kühlung und Overhead, um die Mine am Leben zu erhalten. Ich schätze maximal 300 USD laufende Kosten/ BTC. Nach dem Halving sollte der Kurs also über 600 USD liegen, damit die Hashrate nicht 'einbricht'. Nur mal so zur orientierung: habe mit einem gesprochen der ETH in Südosteuropa mined. Der zahlt 0.04 €/kwH für Strom. In China beziehen angeblich welche Strom für 0.01 $/kwH Ich glaube wir hätten selbst bei einem Kurs von $200 und einem reward von 12.5 BTC/block noch genügend Kappa die online bleiben würde um nicht in die "Todesspirale" zu geraten nach dem halfing. Mache mir hier 0 Sorgen. |

wer glaubt denn noch an eine Korrektur in absehbarer zeit, die unter das jetzige Niveau geht. bis zur brexit-entscheidung siehts doch nicht danach aus.
das kommt jetzt drauf an, was wir unter "Korrektur" verstehen. 10%? Kann ich mir gut vorstellen. 20% vielleicht auch noch. Mehr? glaub nicht. Jetzt gibt's da 2 Probleme, wenn man davon profitieren will: - what's the top?
- what's the bottom?
wer das gut hinkriegt, kann ordentlich profitieren. Das top ist noch schwieriger als der darauffolgende Boden,... den muss man garnicht unbedingt so genau erwischen. Bloss wenn man sich beim top verschätzt und zu früh verkauft, dann kann das schmerzhaft werden weil das Ding ja exponentiell abgeht. Der großteil der Gewinne konzentriert sich also kurz vor der Korrektur. Verflixt aber auch. Und wenn's dann noch zulange dauert dann kommt man u.U. garnicht ohne Verlust wieder rein. Für shorts von Samstag beispielsweise (575$) könnte es jetzt schon schwierig werden: 20% Korrektur bringen uns nur auf $560 runter. Da ist nich viel Gewinn und der ist riskant ihn überhaupt zu ergattern. Ich glaub ich lass das einfach bleiben mit dem shorten |

Interessanterweise halten die Altcoins in etwa mit. Der Anteil des BTC an der Gesamtmarktkapitalisierung ist in den letzten Wochen nur von 80% auf 82% gestiegen.

That depends on whether you want to include China or not. That's going to ruin any statistician's day. You mean you don't trust that there were BTC19.8MM traded on whoboi in one week when there are only BTC15MM in existence and most of them didn't even move? Edit oh and BTC17.3MM were traded on OKCoin that same week. So BTC37.1MM just between two Chinese exchanges in one week  you and I could take 1 single satoshi and then execute a special trading protocol to trade it back and forth 120 trillion times per second. makes for quite the daily volume... EDIT: if you know that some fees have to be payed, it's different. But in the end the exchange can always fake it or have 0-fee bots doing trades. |

@curiosity81, ich boote doch nicht jedes Mal den Rechner, wenn ich hier mal kurz euren Senf zum Kurs lesen will - und bin einfach auch den größten Teil des Tages unterwegs. Dass das Smartphone da die pragmatischste Lösung ist, macht mich noch lange nicht zum Zombie.

Ein black swan ist nicht unbedingt negativ. Aber weit weg wahrscheinlich auch nicht. Laut Taleb ist ein Black Swan... - ...selten (statistisch gesehen ein Ausreisser)

- ...im nachhinhein vorhersagbar (aber nicht vorher, soll heissen: hinterher "war's ja klar, daß es so kommt", aber vorhergesagt hat's kaum einer)

Du meinst wahrscheinlich "eine zuverlässige oder aussagekräftige Einschätzung ist schlichtweg unmöglich", oder? Da stimme ich dir zu, ja. Macht trotzdem irgendwie Spass sich sowas auszumalen. Ach ja und wer war das? Nicholas Nassim Taleb hat was interessantes geschrieben in The Black Swan: ging irgendwie um Strategisches Handeln in völlig extremen Situationen (Chaos, das wäre ja dann bei fiat-flucht gegeben). Da haben die Teams welche sich vorher Modelle von konkreten (teilweise abstrusen und sehr unwahrscheinlichen) Szenarien ausgedacht hatten profitabler gehandelt als diejenigen die das nicht getan hatten (obwohl die Szenarien natürlich allesamt nicht zutrafen). Die waren einfach nicht so geschockt und da sie ihren Horizont schon im Vorfeld erweitert hatten kamen sie schneller zu Potte, vermute ich. |
