61  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: May 31, 2016, 12:32:49 PM
Here goes nothing...
(Remembering Batch 1 of the S7 eh Phil?)
It's just money, right?
62  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center [Assets for sale!!] [UNMOD] on: May 30, 2016, 10:33:25 AM
This IS a hardware thread and it IS about a hardware manufacturer

The hardware manufacturer that you are talking about doesn't exists anymore since it's in liquidation. Do you have a real valid reason for this thread to be here?

It does until some point in July / August and is just as active with consumers as the KNC thread is. This thread is linked to the main thread as its unmoderated counterpart, so wherever that thread is this one remains.

Your last comment shows exactly how selfish you are, the simple fact remains that this is NOT a thread discussing hardware and the only reason it is in the hardware section is because you lack the courtesy to move it.

I think your point was made on the main Spondoolies thread for about the last 40 pages (just a guess) and I for one would appreciate it if this thread was somewhere else.

Of course it really doesn't matter what I think (or anyone else for that matter) unless you or the mods agree.

+1
More of the same. The rest of us have to wade through completely unrelated BS.
Dogie abuses this forum, the trust ratings, and I think karma is just getting cranked up, but do we really need to have another 40 pages of the SOS?
Trust Abuse by dogie against many members is rampant.
He attempts to use it as censorship against anyone who dares call him out when he gives bad, or poor information.
He has given people advice which could or may have caused harm.
He offered to remove negative trust against me if I would post specific text. The text he requested is not truthful and I refuse to be extorted and blackmailed.

Do your own investigation and confirm yourself if this is a one, two, three, or even four or five people incident. It is typical behaviour for him. This is a constant forum issue with dogie. He is always tying up the HW section with his crap and useless posts.
Once people see how many people have been abused by his methods I believe the truth will be obvious.
Few have so blatantly abused this forum's trust system.

Fiknsy - Take Dogie's rating against me for example.
I have a blemish free record and have worked with you and many more of the most trusted members of this forum with positive outcomes. Never an issue.
I have and would never buy / sell anything with dogie.
Be safe and don't use dogie's ratings system of any type. They are skewed by money and personal vengeance against honesty regarding his behaviour and comments.

I haven't seen anything showing SPT owes dogie a penny and if I cared I would go look in the scam and accusation thread section of the forum for the outcome of the court case. I would never take Dogie's word, or anything he posts as fact. He is always in someone's pocket.
63  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Antminer S3 Controller board on: May 30, 2016, 05:04:00 AM

What firmware version is loaded on it?
64  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Hands On] Bitmain AntMiner S7 One Fan (S7-F1) - Notlist3d on: May 30, 2016, 04:17:56 AM

So overall with the price difference will you continue purchasing from the US location?
How much more was the purchase from the US site versus the Factory site in China at the time you made it?

I assume you own or have owned both dual and now the single fan unit. Which would you purchase today if you were buying and both were available? Please elaborate regarding your decision.
65  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Email from Avalon on: May 07, 2016, 04:50:45 PM
Sloopy,
Thanks for your post, very well written and makes perfect sense.

Thanks. I appreciate the kind words.

Re-reading it in the light of day there was one main point I wanted to make in this thread which I did not.

Is it just me? (and it wouldn't be the first time), but seriously is it just me who looks back on the way the Avalon 6 versus S7 pricing structure and MOQ were lined up seemed to coexist well?
Similar to how AT&T and COX / Time Warner may coexist and both do extremely well?

Maybe I missed it, but I purchased an A6 much later than others and paid well over what the S7 cost. I did this knowingly. The same way I pay my bill for Internet and Cable TV every month. (Never watch the cable TV)

I wonder who gets the credit for those things aligning so perfectly?
Bitmain maintained the lower price. Many times to the point it was not a good decision to do anything else. *IF* you had reasonable confidence the hash boards or the entire unit wouldn't need to go back. So a gamble on top of your BTC mining / price gamble, just add that layer on top.

I do not mean to snub either company. Good Business decisions. Actually, so smooth it is almost a concerted effort to maximize profit and keep the price at $750 - $1100 for a long time between November / December and March / April.

Regarding making them in CN and shipping them in bulk they are still doing that today, they just do it through Yoshi. Very little difference. I am talking about a true extension where there is true assembly. That seems to be the only way to have every single part available in a next day air fashion.
Does anyone have any numbers showing where what percentage of miners are sold to which countries? Obviously China is #1.

These "niceties" are what make a huge difference in many people's purchasing decision come true competition, and why so many people support the community miner project. These "niceties" are what will separate people who have a job and people replaced with automation or they have no market share in the decades of Industry to come. China is growing in the middle class, and they will demand higher wages, there will be a change there. It may be 20 years, but it has already started.
The simple fact is you get what you pay for and I can show plenty of people who have parts made all over the world but assemble and test the product in the US (or their home country). Are there shitty companies in the US? Sure. Does it take weeks to get a replacement part? Not if they want to sell another item and shitty companies do not stay in business unless they are monopolies or government funded.

They may "enjoy" two day shipping of new units to some places, but who has been getting their unit repaired, who has been getting a fan replaced in a reasonable time? Who has received a hash board in two days? HUGE difference.
Do you understand now dog? If not, just forget it and move on trying to bait someone else or get back to loansharking.

66  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Email from Avalon on: May 07, 2016, 09:35:35 AM
but don't they need permission to do that stuff in china  i hear it's bitch to tour there all the bs they put you thu for a visa etc and then you just can't go any place you want to, so i wouldn't put past them being controlled by gov .Ive often wonder how much the gov is in control

On the other side of the coin.

I grew up in New York City.

I knew of people that owned entire City blocks of Queens and Brooklyn all via a handshake.

All government  documents did not mention the handshake owners.

So the real power for asic  can be in spots no one would really know, unless of course they are the actual holder of the real power.

If Putin sent someone to talk things over with bitfury and wanted an off the record deal with them it would happen.
If Bush/Cheney wanted a off the record deal in the USA with some company it would happen.
If the leader of China anted an off the record deal in China with some company it would happen.

Ghost ops flow in both  directions .  So the real power is hidden.

But on the surface  our game looks like asic builders.

So I would prefer someone figuring out how to program a gpu to whale at silly good numbers mining BTC  as I rather use gear from real companies.

I don't like alt coins but I see what eth coin does  and I can see that  a good gpu coin could always exist.

The eth coin market cap is about 700 million  the btc market cap is about 6300 million.

Does not take much to see a fundamental issue for asic builders vs gpu builders.

Asic builders attitude to buyers is pretty much fuck you show me the money.

Gpu builders  give service and warranties that are real.  Just a little tip and btc could slide while eth coin jumps.

The security issue is pretty much equal.

We never had an alt coin go to numbers like   .1 btc per coin  the ½ ing could do this or not.

I  Will be watching and waiting for gear from avalon.  I also tell them sell us chips  believe it or not it is a safer way to earn money for your company.

I think most are hodling and waiting at this point for nextgen. Although I am also sure some people are picking up the odd good deal S7 and a6. Personally I and others have mentioned the stale air accumulating around the control board in the A6, but that is easily addressed.

I had fantastic support from Spondoolies and wish they were building something competitive for a home miner. 110 TH is too many eggs in one basket and I do not see them giving us anything smaller with BTCS in need of as many which can be built and shipped. This is pure conjecture on my part except for the above average support, but it isn't hard to be above average when the competition was Bitmain.

Having said that I do see effort being made to use your regional support, I have purchased miners through the Bitmain regional guys in Colorado.
The last time I checked pricing it was extremely nice to purchase a new miner through Yoshi's group, get fast support communication, but... There was still a delay in actually having the miner shipped along with having a repaired unit shipped. Actual shipping time was fantastic, but even though the unit was very obviously here in the US there was still some hangup between my BTC being sent within a few hours, and the unit shipping.

...and Having said that, Yoshi stood behind good customer service, apologized for the delays, and I will not go in detail, but he took care of me.

However, I am interested in a bulk purchase and my overall experiences since the first miner I purchased from Bitmain, the S4s hurt like hell because of Bitmain customer service, the batch 1 S7s, even though they gave compensation the people who received theirs before the Holiday had a significant advantage. I had a very bad taste in my mouth after spending 9+ BTC for my first S5+, the fan die within a week and the factory telling me SOP is to buy your own fan locally. Other Bitmain employees told me I may as well do the same thing. Again Yoshi took care of me. I bought a spare at that time as well.
Yoshi has been the consistent reason I went back, and when I make my first real bulk purchase, it will not come down to who hits the market with the most efficient gear first, it will be the choices available to me based on past experiences.

I still haven't wrapped my head around why Bitmain has not set up a true factory leg in the US including assembly. What a jump it would give them to have a US team able to support and sell here. I understand they would lose some profit margin due to labor, but I firmly believe that it would be made back quickly with volume AND they could offer next day air service for people who want to pay it. Bulk orders could go out Fedex freight or an equivalent.
I guarantee they would sell many more spare parts. Look at how much shipping is added for each additional part from the website now. That has been the sole reason I have not already picked up several hundred dollars worth of spares.

They could also sell hash boards. Simply have larger runs made. Look at the people who would pick up multiple boards so they could build their own unique designs. People like me would purchase a hash board even if I had a warranty board going back in to be replaced to reduce downtime.

As was mentioned if BlockC approaches these things, lowers the MOQ to 1 for the small miner, and allows each individual part to be purchased I see a real fight starting.

The same potentials exist for other companies of they stop talking vaporware and actually make a move.

Of course I am sure there are many items I am not seeing, but I cannot understand why making your brand is not the long term goal.
67  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New one fan S7 on: May 02, 2016, 05:34:51 PM
Has anyone else recorded any temperature differences between the F1 and F2 batches?
Or, has anyone ran one hard, overclocked, and checked heatsink material and bonding?

Southern Mid-West summers are brutal. Even though I will be experimenting with a swamp cooler this year, I cannot handle something which I know is going to run 10 degrees hotter.

S7-20160420-700M-2fan-4320.tar.gz S7 Firmware - 700M, 4.73th/s miner MD5: 4E8CC8C4F6D27E554C60F06D3EBDACC1

https://bitmaintech.com/files/download/S7-20160420-700M-2fan-4320.tar.gz

Works great with patch1 and 3, 5, 7

Tupsu
I do not see that for a batch 1 which uses 600 Frequency
I see it for several others, if not all freqs.

Wait, you are telling me that the firmware named 2fan is for every 2fan miner.
Right?
Even though it has 700M in the description and batch1 is 600?

It works with all my S7 miners.
Batch1, batch3 , batch 5 and batch7.

It also works with my  batch 8 miners and batch 6 miners.

So I think that it is universal for all batches.

Thank you Tupsu.
Tupsu I know you did a lot with running multiple blades with one controller and if I remember correctly you mentioned the October firmware is the most recent you can run more than three with. Is that correct?

good luck with that sloopy. my batch 2 is still working well

@philipma1957 @sloopy

I have b1,2,4,5,6,7 miners. b1 and b2-I updated to Oct 23 version before, the rest were on Sept 15 software.
Yesterday, after reboot, miners on Oct 23 version did not come back (no hashing), but those on Sept 15 came back fine, which probably explains phils's observation re b2.
Upon updating to Dec 11 software (575 version for b2 and 600 version for b1), both came back hashing fine.
Bottom line: if your miners are on Sept 15 software and have no problems, then it's fine.
if you are (b1-8) on Oct 23 software, they might stop hashing on reboot of cgminer (due to problem described on prior pages) and would require update to Dec 11 version.

EDIT: if bitmain warranty says to use Dec 11 version and not April, personally, I would go with this suggestion. i don't really care about latest and greatest version as long as machines are working as intended.

Biodom That is exactly what happened to my batch 1. It had been up for over 30 days and the HW errors were starting to show negative. I like to give things a reboot if they get to that point and sure enough on reboot she showed 0 for all values on the status screen.
I will probably try December first just to see if it works for me and I am also curious if the multiple blades from one controller is still broken in the two fan version so maybe Tupsu will weigh back in as well.

Phil Much appreciation on the bottled water tips. All I ever drink is bottled water during the weekdays with the occasional coffee or crown royal on the weekends.
I am checking with my General Practitioner regarding the blasting process they have available and if the recovery time has improved. I read it can take 2 - 4 weeks to recover from that procedure and if so I may as well fight it out this week and hope I pass everything.

One thing I would say to anyone who has never had a Kidney stone is to do everything possible to avoid them.
Some things my Dr. and I feel contributed to my situation is even though all I drink is water 5 days per week I am not drinking enough which leads to chronic dehydration. I perspire a lot, I mean a lot, and I haven't been replacing those fluids enough.
Also, eating salads every day. As funny as it sounds because we all know salads help to lose or maintain a good weight and I have been enjoying different types, but still mainly it is a large amount of greens and vegetables which have tons of things that may build up in your kidneys.
I have been taking a Vitamin C supplement for a long time. Boom, I find out even if you stay within the recommended daily amounts when combined with other factors it can be a big contributor.
The main thing though is hydration, hydration, hydration.
Also, genetics play a part, but for the ladies out there men have a 70% more likely chance to have them.
Once a man does have them there is a 10% increase in the chance you will have another one every year until you do. So at 5 years from now I have a 50% chance to get one that year.

Why you most definitely do not want it to happen to you?
The pain is out of this world.
I do not go to the ER unless I am missing a limb. Well, not quite that bad, but I think many people are the same way. The ER visits cost a fortune even with good insurance which thankfully I have.
The pain hit me all at once around 1 - 2 AM yesterday morning and by 8: AM I was in the ER getting large morphine doses via IV. No, the morphine didn't feel good, I didn't feel it all, it simply helped the pain for a bit. That is how you know what level of pain I was at. Even with 250mg of morphine x2 over two hours plus some other significant pain killer starting with a T which I do not recall the name I was not "high" from it, but my pain was held at bay. These things are PAINFUL!

Take care of your bodies people. I'm sure many of you are like me in the fact you will work all day and night and then do it again because that is what we enjoy. Make sure you are drinking a few quarts of water per day, and as Phil mentioned drinking the right type of water is important.
By the way Phil, I had a few gallons of distilled water from a project I was playing with and that is what I started drinking yesterday. Today I am taking your advice looking through the bottled water available here along with using Lemon juice I squeeze myself.

Thanks for all the help guys and take care of your miners, bodies, and minds! Obviously not in that order Smiley

It looks like my Batch 1 S7 control board bit the dust.
Would any of you guys care to take a look and let me know your thoughts?
I was in the ER with Kidney Stones today, so I'm not going to be putting it on another control board for testing tonight, but I think this pretty much tells us.

What do you think?

Another view showing the side by side setup better.  Unfortunately I can only run one miner at a time at this location because I only have one ethernet connection here, so when it's hot I run the S5 but slide it back so that it exhausts out the wall vent.  R-Pi controller draws 2.6 watts, wish they made an inexpensive meter for the 240v line, all I could find were in-line devices that cost on the order of $100.  I am moving next month and will have a new laundry room to turn into a home mining area.  Cool

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just get a small 4 port ethernet hub there and you can have both of them running if you have enough power.

The ethernet feed to that location is one that is already coming off a 6 port hub, and I don't think you can hub off another hub so no dice.  Not to worry, next laundry room mine will have more connectivity. Smiley

If by "hub" you do mean switch, then yes, you can have a switch behind another switch.
Hubs are not common equipment these days, but you could do so with a hub as well, but a true hub spams the packet to every port, so much worse. A switch is managed or unmanaged but either way it will not spam every port with each packet once it is told or learns where the packet needs to be sent.

I've never done it, but I believe you can go 6 deep, not that I ever would. I am two deep at this time for one miner in one room just because I haven't pulled it out yet.

In my opinion the same outcomes may be accomplished without being such a traditional forum dick.
You do not have to be nice, but being so pompous and egocentric only serves to be that dick.

It is so over the top it is an obvious wish for control that person is unable to exert in day to day life.

Growing up a bit would be an amazing accomplishment for someone so accomplished.

Smart people do not have to be nice. Truly smart people do not talk down to people in the manner exhibited throughout the last few pages of this thread unless they are spoiled and socially challenged without any respect for the subjects they are discussing.

You only see people take the behaviour to that level on the internet. In day to day life they do not last that long without serious physical security or running a corporation where people are afraid of losing their livelihood. Even then they only keep followers or people who are unable to make their livelihood in another company, never true leaders.

In my opinion showing respect for someone with a perverse need to talk to people in that manner only provokes more of the same. It doesn't matter how much someone may or may not be able to offer, if they have a personal need to satisfy which involves talking down to someone in such a vulgar manner they are more concerned with satisfying their own egocentric requirements than they will ever be with helping you accomplish your goals.

More akin to the villain in a story rather than the hero. A villain which leads you to an edge and pushes you over to your death.

The world is a better place without such regardless of almost any potential contribution. It is one thing to be confident in yourself and abilities, but quite another to speak at / down to someone rather than having a reasonable conversation.

It is a weakness, a personality fault, and an obvious cry for attention.
74  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: So just how hard is it to get BitMain to fix warrenty repair? on: April 24, 2016, 06:26:37 PM
Personally, I recommend purchasing your miners here in the US from Yoshi.
You will pay more but it is worth it imo. I am two days shipping to colorado using ups ground, and two days back.

Since I started dealing with these guys, it is a much better system.
You cannot buy from China and then deal with Colorado. They are different entities.

I haven't waited longer than a week except once when dealing with Colorado. If you know how to troubleshoot, or follow instructions they treat you respectfully. Totally the opposite of the factory.

Edit 1:
I do ask before I do anything.
I send screen shots.
I document every contact.
I take pictures.

When a new product is released or a product is near EOL for China, you can wait, and wait, and wait.

If you do buy from Yoshi / Colorado you can only go through them for service, but it is closer to what is acceptable service for the amount of money these miners cost.
75  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Hardware Sales Tax bought outside of U.S.A on: April 22, 2016, 01:04:25 AM

Many states have adopted new laws regarding sales tax.
I don't remember the document because I finished my taxes last week but I literally spent days, days, and more days total going through every tax code I could find and still worked with an accountant to make sure I did everything right.
There are some useful sites on the internet, and one phone call or email will answer this correctly.

One thing I found, and upthread someone mentioned is the code.

There is a code custom assigns, and then there is also a code assigned when you file taxes on say a sole proprietorship business.
The code 9999-BITCOIN_MINING will probably draw some attention because they are still trying to figure out what they are doing. In my thoughts, they are looking for big, medium, and small cases to run up the flagpole and get the system in place. It was only 2014 when they gave us the little bit we have regarding virtual currency and taxes. IMO mining is the worst because you owe tax on whatever the value is the second it is mined.

I did this the right way, or doing everything possible to do it the right way short of hiring a dedicated virtual currency attorney, of which there are a few, but they are not inexpensive, and I did not have anything so difficult I couldn't work it out.

Getting a letter like that from the state will also probably draw some attention.

In my opinion IF anyone has anything to be concerned about, don't screw with the IRS, either through the state or directly. I have another business, my MAIN business to be concerned with and the income there is far more than the amount of BTC I earned, which actually I showed a loss on bitcoin mining last year. This year I will show a profit and pay my taxes. It sucks, and most don't worry about it, and hey, if you don't have anything to risk and you are willing to roll the dice you are probably fine for several more years regarding cryptocurrency.

If you have important things to lose, and don't want to ever even consider an audit, much less jail time of magnificent fines, do things the way your city, county, state, and gubment set out.

I do not like doing it, but in my situation it is like insurance, and it isn't as though there aren't many ways to use the tax code to your advantage.

One last thing, don't buy more than 2,500 at a time unless you are doing a big enough deal to get a discount larger than the potential tax rate. Besides the fact depending on your state you will owe the money, it is a flag, albeit a small one.

Good luck, and consult a tax attorney. Not just someone at a tax place. You have attorney - client privilege with a licensed attorney. Anything else, is not confidential.
76  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [30 PH] ** 5x AVALON6 GIVEAWAY ** Kano CKPool (kano.is) [0.9% PPLNS] US,DE,SG on: April 08, 2016, 01:11:31 AM
I prefer mining with Avalon gear over bitmain as well. Bitmain are too big.

Although, some valid points were made for both camps.

The A6 does clock in at approximately .7 TH lower than the S7 I have running on the same power supply.
When I purchased this particular A6 the final cost to my door was approximately $150.00 more for the A6.

Those differences are not enough to sway me away from the A6 though. Ever since I started mining I made the decision that I cared more about Bitcoin growing to be something I could be proud to be a part of and as long as it is possible I will not let money make my decisions as much as my moral compass.

However, there are some things which can have a significant impact on people and put them in a position where if they want to mine, they buy from Bitmain. For example when the S7 was initially brought to the market there was not an A6. As a matter of fact everyone in mining when the S7 rolled out had been unable to purchase a piece of new gear from anywhere. In my situation I was running 2nd hand everything except for two SP20s and an S4 I purchased new. A dozen S3's all second, third or 4th hand, some S5s a good forum member sold me, and a couple of more SP20s I purchased secondhand from a great forum member. We were dying for new gear and I don't think anyone would refuse any new miner at that point for various reasons..

My current issue is my Avalons are unable to take the heat my Antminers and SP20s handle. It is still spring here and we aren't even coming close to our average daily ambient temperatures. I have not done everything I can do to improve the situation but I have done some basic things like move a test unit to the coolest location of the mining room. Install a nice 3000 CFM exhaust fan and have the room setup so the outside air is pulled across / through all of the miners, etc
The Avalons simply downclock which is a good feature, but they simply do not handle the heat as well as the S7s. My S5+ is still in operation and it kills every other miner in terms of lowest temps.

As I said I haven't done every little thing I can.

In my opinion the Avalon is a better engineered miner for the most part. It should have more power connections, it should handle the heat better and it should have a higher hashrate. I cannot speak to Avalon's warranty procedures, but I can say that Bitmain has some of the worst customer service I have ever seen from anywhere. If you live in the US and want average customer service from Bitmain then the price becomes more in line with Avalon's because you can pay a higher price, currently 45 bucks, but I have paid over 100 above the direct factory price. This is done by purchasing through the North American group. The service is handled in Colorado and they have not argued with me or ignored me for weeks as Bitmain direct have done. They have agreed with me on some things the factory did which were very wrong. For example when I paid an astronomical number of Bitcoin for the S5+ when it was new I had a fan failure within the first week. They told me Bitmain doesn't cover fans, and to go purchase one locally.

Bitmain has poor leadership, but again dealing with the US group does make it a better experience. It does not make up for the choices they continue to make everyday which damage our network. The choice to SPV mine, sell used gear as new, manipulate the bitcoin price, the choice to be involved in a conspiracy of network control by certain people and other pools, and in general again, very poor leadership. There is evil driven greed making the decisions there.

So my decision to mine and support the good people here, support bitcoin, and support what I see as Bitcoin still learning to walk was made by purchasing mostly Bitmain hardware. I have a voice through my hardware.
While the amount of money spent on hardware does go to Bitmain and support the nefarious things I barely touched on I do not believe has been more important than the things I do with my hardware and the reason for my involvement in firing the shots I can. Things that are more important to me and my choices.

If I ROI that is great, but if I am able to afford to mine and keep my miners running, that is awesome in my personal situation. If I had it to do over I would have handled some purchases differently and would own more Avalons.

I do not sell my signature space because I have not found anyone / company I believe in which pays. Most sig campaigns are not what I want to be associated with. I feel like it is too important and I never have an intention to lend my support in that manner unless I have personally used and vetted their service AND I feel good about them I should keep trying to use all of my resources to promote the great things in our community. I spoke with Kano recently about making an advertisement for this pool, and I still plan to do so. I simply have not had time to do the things which are currently higher on my priority list.

Please do not misunderstand me when I say these things regarding miner purchases. I certainly believe we should all make an effort to purchase from different manufacturers, namely Avalon. I am explaining why I made the decisions I did.

I am not rich, but I do make a decent salary and as long as possible I will continue to support our ecosystem the best ways possible. The Avalon miner is a better miner in terms of reliability for me. The biggest problem was availability, specifications and price point to a degree. Knowing they could have priced competitively bothered me, but it was certainly never the single factor driving my decisions.

OK, back to work for me, I simply needed to stop in and say hi to everyone along with commenting on this discussion. I dearly hope we all have more choices coming soon because there is not a doubt that Bitmain will be right there as they have been offering the gear and ready for a price war. We should make an effort to stop supporting Bitmain. However I will not support them by removing one of the only ways I have to help in other situations. I guess we all have to make that decision for ourselves because no one knows what individual issues and decisions we each must deal with.

Have a great day everyone.

As the average is, I keep checking in off and on and I see my Kano.is / ckpool brethren are kicking ass!
I tell you, I've told so many, and even when we had those weeks in October last year which were our poorest I solved two blocks with my own gear. This pool just has a vibe like a muscle car from the late 60s. You slide in, break it in, and then ride.

I do appreciate everyone here and love to lurk for days, but you can believe I am reading every post as I always have and for over a year I am as happy here as ever. Even though a very wise pool op told me other ways to lower variance I still keep the majority of my hash here and don't know if I would sleep well if it were anywhere else.

Thanks Kano and CK, and thanks to all the kickass people who have been here for months now.

I like seeing the posts about the small guys and the only person I call a friend just rolled over his first bitcoin earned from gear he got from me practically free. He is proud of earning that first bitcoin and I told him, stick with Kano.is, always look around, keep your eyes open, but do not even think about moving.

I will go back to my lurking mode and I am installing a couple of new miners tonight. Gotta go buy a dress first. No, not for me, but I am still paying hah. Drinking a Venti Caramel-Honey goodness Coffee because I love 'em sweet and big just like the 26+ btc block we had! BOOM! Says even more about this is the place to be after the halving. Kano and CK are always thinking way into the future, these guys are not short timers.

I feel like the pool has gotten better from several vantage points. The members have actually distilled to the best group to kick with and even members of other pools come and chat here often.

I am going to sip a bit more and get the shopping done so I can play. Keep rockin and blockin, don't let up til the sun stops comin up, and be confident in your choices. Mistakes are what is teaching all of us every day. No regrets when we are mining with the best.
 Wink
I am going to buy the best damn dress for this lil girl that will make her so happy and tell her it is from the crew at Kano.Is
What made me the happiest besides seeing all of these blocks rolling in and reading the past couple of days posts is her telling me she wanted me to go with her to the event the dress is for. Teenage daughters don't do that much they normally think the 'rents are crackin their style but I told her it was completely her choice that I would stay home and work on the mining room and she said no Dad come with me and we'll both come home and work in the room. - I am a happy, thankful, fortunate man and take none of it for granted.

I hope all of you are also starting out to a heavy, hard-hitting, beast-mode weekend.  Cool

Most of all, stay safe guys, make sure your family, you, and your miners are all well-connected in every way you can possibly afford and still plan for the future. We may have a few bumps but the block charts are like Shakira's hips, those don't lie!

I agree with that above. We've had much better luck IMO when we were smaller than when we hit 30PH size. Payments are better and we don't 'need' 5-6+ blocks per day.

I'm sticking around but when I look at my Kano wallet declining for the past 2 weeks slowly. I B&M and worry but rather support this pool than other asian ones.

Do you realize luck for the past 3 months is about 110%? I'm tracking my income per week and its gone up vs expected, not down vs before. Or are you complaining that you're getting 5 payouts of let say 0.01BTC per day instead of 1 payout of 0.15BTC per 3 days?

Very good points.

Actually, I am so very tired of seeing any form of complaint regarding payouts here.
Does anyone think the facts which have been bragged about by so many are any less valid today?

We have the Dream Team of Pool Ops, the fastest propagation times of any other non-spv pools EVEN times some SPV mining pools.
Not to mention zero transaction blocks who are commonly the very same SPV pools where it was shown today that with the right code you can solve a block within the same times or less but still manage to include transactions.

In my opinion if you cannot be supportive, if you do not have the intelligence, if you are a fair-weather fan then good riddance. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

Common sense tells you with scaling comes issues, with more size comes problems. I for one believe that Kano and CK have done a miraculous job of handling the few issues while at the same time providing enhancements.

Look at the work and transparency from these guys when Block With-holding was suspected and shown. More information was provided than any other pool during the same events. Consider how it was handled, and obviously shut down. Personally I have all the faith one could that people attempting these types of things in the future will be busted.

So again I must say, this is the best pool available. If you think you will earn more with your PPS, or more with your pools which have lied, who never answer support questions and who certainly do not have a forum presence then by all means all of you should go to that pool.

Luck is a finicky bitch and if you are not prepared for her you are in the wrong activity.

Having said that I wish you all the best, I hope you get rich beyond your wildest dreams no matter where you mine, but for me, I am staying right here where the consistency has been proven, the code has been proven far more than any other pool to have positive results, and I have resources tied to the best in the business answering questions and providing results.

Good day
