141  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: forgot and lost private key blockchain.info on: March 10, 2018, 01:49:58 AM
You can use the help of a hacker to recover bitcoins without private key. I was able to recover my account with my coins intact. You can contact him as well cybertronxiii@protonmail.com

How do you expect a hacker to help? They are known to invade accounts and keep their contents.

I’m sure you own that email address.

Anyone with account-related issues should contact Blockchain’s support directly. Contacting a hacker is a silly solution. It’s like contacting a thief to open your locked vault.

Never share private keys, mnemonics, recovery phrases and other sensitive account information with anyone.
142  Economy / Goods / Re: GIANGI'S ELECTRONIC SHOP, HUGE DISCOUNTS! ESCROW ACCEPTED on: March 10, 2018, 01:09:01 AM
Yes, escrow is a must. Here is a list of trusted forum escrows:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2439910.0

There will be no sending first of coins. It’s not safe. Similar threads have been popping up like mushrooms and they are all brand new or newbie accounts. This is becoming increasingly common in this section of marketplace.
143  Economy / Lending / Re: Short term loans - collaterals accepted on: March 10, 2018, 12:56:41 AM
Yes, of course I will accept escrow. Who offers the escrow service here? Because there are a lot of scams also with these services. Thanks!

Here you go:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2439910.0

That’s a list of trusted forum escrows. Nobody here will send collateral to you upfront.

You should expand your OP by providing more information about the amounts you intend to loan and the interest rate you expect to charge.
144  Economy / Goods / Re: [SELL] FACTORY PRICES(IphoneX/Note8/Dron/Cameras...) 40% OFF + ESCROW on: March 10, 2018, 12:44:43 AM
That would be a forum escrow, right? Not escrow.com which does not process crypto-related transactions. Forum escrow is preferred because scammers have been known to send spoofed escrow.com emails to their victims.

The question is why would anybody want to buy from you when, for example, your asking price of EUR 739 for an iPhone X 64GB converts to USD 910. Customs will then charge duties or importation taxes which rounds the total amount to USD 1k or even more, depending on the destination country. Apple’s base price however is $999.

The price issue aside, I am much more interested in the escrow aspect. You agree to use a forum escrow from this list:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2439910.0

Correct?

And you are aware that escrow will release the coins after (and only after) delivery of goods to the buyer. Correct again? No coins will be released earlier, not even incrementally and most definitely not on the basis of a tracking number or screenshots of shipping confirmation. It is not safe to rely on such information because there is no way for the buyer to determine if the shipped goods are genuine and new goods. Scammers have been known to ship rocks or worthless trash.
145  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB - Original Antrouter R1 - Bitcoin/SHA256 on: March 09, 2018, 11:04:17 PM
What happened? Did the guy claiming to have 6 above refuse to use escrow?

Always use a trusted middle man for transactions with strangers or those who, out of the blue, claim they have what you need.

146  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Wirex- Bitcoin Debit Card | Buy Bitcoin | Mobile Banking | Send Money on: March 09, 2018, 10:52:03 PM
Would love to know more information about your card issuer. I hope it's a relationship which you envisage will last permanently. A globally respected prepaid card services provider such as Wirecard would be my guess but I might be wrong. I don't really mind which issuer you use for as long as they are compliant, stable and here to stay for the years to come.

I can't wait for reviews from those lucky enough to get the earliest batch of cards. I'm a non-UK and non-EEA resident so might need to wait in line.

147  Economy / Auctions / Re: Want to buy an account Full/Hero rang! on: March 09, 2018, 07:59:27 PM
No forum escrow will touch a trade of this nature. That's because most escrows are also DT members and you can therefore expect the purchased account to be tagged by them.

If you proceed with buying an account, you will be wasting your coins/money. The account will be tagged and rendered useless.

Bought and sold accounts are almost always used for scams and for defrauding signature campaigns. It is a newbie's shortcut to infamy and notoriety. This should not be condoned. Other members here work their way up for years with patience and honest effort.
148  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] [Europe] 5x Antminer S9 13.5 TH/s on: March 09, 2018, 07:09:10 PM
2699€ per rig x 5. Yes, you must definitely engage escrow.

There will be no sending of coins or rigs first. All in good time but with a trusted middle man protecting the seller and the buyer.

Here is a list of forum escrows:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2439910

For safe transaction flow, both buyer and seller should contact the escrow directly. This is critically important. Never rely on cut and paste escrow instructions or screen shots of escrow communication given by the person you are transacting with. Always confirm the agreement and procedure with the escrow directly. Escrow should be contacted on their official thread or email address as shown on their profile or thread. Ignore links and email addresses suggested by the person you are trading with.

149  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 2017 Bitcoin Debit Card Reviews on: March 09, 2018, 01:19:55 PM

Users outside of the UK can still sign up for the waiting list which means you’ll be the first to hear about rollout in Europe and beyond.

And that planned rollout for your waitlisted non-UK customers is when?

Hopefully not months from now. Sometime in the future won't be an encouraging response either.

Shiny plastic cards are nice indeed but a shiny rollout date for everybody else beyond Europe would be nicer.

I hope you joined forces with a solid card issuer. One which will far outlast your relationship with Wave Crest. Crossing my fingers.
150  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: just got sacmmed please help and reply. I BEG YOU GUYS on: March 09, 2018, 08:00:25 AM
How on earth can people here help you if you don't even know who scammed you in the first place? How is it that the scammer exists on the forum but you don't know his user name? Surely you communicated with him here before discussing further on Skype.

If you sent the coins without any escrow intervention, then you're out of luck. Always use a forum escrow to avoid what just happened to you. The coins are permanently gone. The only way you can retrieve them is if the scammer naively sends them back to you and the chance of that happening is extremely slim.
151  Economy / Auctions / Re: WTB Bitcoin 500k Usd minimum on: March 09, 2018, 07:55:14 AM
Hiding here in the auctions section won't work. I check it often.

Use escrow at all times and observe the following:

1. Wire transfer: due diligence is a must. Identify identify identify. I can't emphasize enough how important it is to know who is sending the "minimum 500k USD" and if the source is legitimate.

2. Never send bitcoins first. Not even in small increments. Always use escrow, even for less than 1 BTC.

3. If meeting up, check the cash. Scammers and counterfeiters flock together like birds of a feather.

4. If invited to meet up, do it in safe public location. The more crowded, the better. Take one or two able-bodied persons as observers.

5. Buyer: hand over cash only after confirmed existence of bitcoins. Observe the same anti-scam precautions.

152  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Could i found any real buyer here for big amounts of BTC? on: March 09, 2018, 07:44:51 AM
i can buy btc today itself at a price of 8700$ pm me i wanna buy 1 btc.

How will you pay the $8700 and which escrow will you use from this list:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2439910

Don't even think about proposing to use PayPal. It's reversible up to 180 days.

Remember to trade here and not on Skype or other shady platforms. It's safer and more transparent when you have a trusted middle man involved.

Or were you hoping to do things differently?
153  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: New Place to buy bitmain miners on: March 09, 2018, 05:37:14 AM
What do you suggest?

I suggest not buying from that scam site. End of story.

Buy from official sources only.

Or yes, buy from that site if and only if that site accepts to use a trusted escrow on this forum.

Now I know scammers despise me for constantly suggesting escrow. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than knowing I stopped them on their tracks.
154  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling Antminer S9 x 5 February Batch - London UK Based on: March 09, 2018, 05:32:59 AM
As soon as escrow was mentioned, he went dead quiet. This is suspicious behavior. Goes to show how scammers hate escrow. It kills their scam.

I do not believe he is based in the UK. Just a careful analysis of the way these posts are written reveals inconsistencies. Genuine persons based in the UK know that London is in the UK and will not write London UK based. Scammers write the city and country to emphasize the location they want their victims to think the products are based in. This is scamming psychology 101.
155  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I have an idea, now what? on: March 09, 2018, 04:16:22 AM
Without money your project won’t move an inch forward. That’s the reality you need to realize and accept. You will need cold hard cash or coins to transform your plan or idea into something tangible.

I know I know and we all heard it all, there’s no harm in dreaming about big things but without the right resources it will remain a dream.

Patenting is expensive. Focus on what’s important and relevant. Unless you are reasonably certain that this idea is sustainable and potentially lucrative, you should invest your resources wisely.

156  Economy / Services / Re: European needed asap on: March 09, 2018, 04:00:31 AM
When doing this, stop and think before being tempted by whatever amount you are offered to do it. Ask yourself... what you are signing up for, what are the potential risks, is it legal, will it be used for scams, is this a safe transaction?

Think of the consequences before signing up for anything you might regret later.

157  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Mistertango - Bitcoin friendly European Bank Account + free MasterCard on: March 09, 2018, 03:46:59 AM
Hercus
Where is this company located exactly? What country in Europe? Undecided

Never heard of them before. Just Wavecrest and Gilbratar(sp?).

Lithuania. The card however is issued by Wirecard, a reputable card payment processor and prepaid services provider.

Just Wavecrest and Gilbratar(sp?).

Wavecrest is a company. Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory just off the coast of Spain. Gibraltar is a place and not a company!
158  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling BTC throw Escrow on: March 09, 2018, 03:38:33 AM
Yes, use escrow. Here is a list of forum escrows:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2439910.0

No sending first both ways... unless you get a kick out of doing it.

Be sure to contact escrow directly. Never rely on cut and paste instructions allegedly sent by escrow.
159  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling 2 L3+ miners from February batch on: March 08, 2018, 10:17:55 PM
For $3600, yes it would have to be a trade in person or shipping with forum escrow. There will be no sending of coins first. Most people here don't happen to live in or around Munroe MI (unless you find a buyer from Detroit or Cleveland) and I'm sure you're counting on offers from those who want the miners shipped instead.

Escrow fees are not that dramatic. Don't underestimate the importance of using escrow for the kind of amount you want for these miners.

Use escrow if the miners are to be shipped.
160  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: have paypal wtb btc. I can do any verification. on: March 08, 2018, 09:55:08 PM
You can start by withdrawing your PayPal to your bank account instead. Nobody here will take your PayPal, except for other newbies with nefarious motives (too).

Paypal is reversible up to 180 days. Bitcoin isn't. This makes the trade relationship an unfair one. You (the buyer) are protected while the seller isn't. Even escrow is useless in this situation because you can dispute and charge back the transaction after getting the coins.

"doing any verification" won't help. Scammers do it all the time to trick their victims. As I said above, send your PayPal to your bank account, then withdraw the cash. Cash and other irreversible payment methods from newbies are very much welcome.
