1081  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopay Bitcoin Debit card + Giveaway on: September 08, 2017, 03:06:00 AM
I think they are very busy with the card transition process. I was already issued the new card with new limits.

They won't issue MyChoice cards anymore. Their contract with Wave Crest, like other bitcoin card providers, is coming to an end. The last day allowed for MyChoice card usage is this coming 15th Oct.

I suggest you fully verify your Cryptopay accounts and apply for the new card. On their website I can only see one limit for the new card which is for a fully verified type of account. I'm not sure what their limits will be for non-verified card holders.

1082  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Looking for 0.4 BTC, will pay with PAYPAL on: September 06, 2017, 05:30:29 AM
The selling of fictitious bitcoins back then probably didn't work out as planned. No biters. No naive takers willing to send money first.

The reverse is now another experimental attempt to find naive people here willing to blindly send bitcoins to him first.

Really not that much of a difference. Roles reversed. But the sending first is the common denominator.

So now he offers to pay for 0.4 bitcoins with Paypal. He probably hopes someone interested might agree to send the bitcoins first and wait for the PayPal payment to follow. Or he sends the Paypal payment first, then reverses or charges-back that very same payment when coins appear on his wallet.

So many scenarios to keep in mind when trading with new members here offering PayPal.

1083  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Create Fully-Verified PayPal account [Any Country] for 20$ on: September 06, 2017, 05:16:23 AM
May I play the guessing game here for a minute? Let me think..

1. Since good things don't come for free... am I right to assume they also must be paid first before you deliver?  Roll Eyes

2. Should I guess under whose names you fully verify the PayPal accounts? Your name? Or do you have pre-verified accounts from people you know or... perhaps strangers who have no idea what happened to their identities?  Roll Eyes

3. You create a fully verified PayPal account linked to a credit card all within 10 minutes? It takes me ages to get a card alone. So I'm guessing the cards AND the PayPal accounts are pre-phished ahem I mean pre-created and you're simply selling them here. Did I guess correctly?  Roll Eyes

4. Why Skype? Why not trade transparently here where one can spot something off track? May I guess again? Your victims ahem I mean buyers must send the bitcoins first? Guessed right?  Roll Eyes

1084  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 2.5 btc loan on: September 06, 2017, 04:59:16 AM
You have the guts. The nerve. The audacity. The shamelessness. I have to commend you for that. But the good words end here.

And now to the bad news.

You will not get 2.5 BTC here without acceptable collateral. Your account has 3 posts only. New as a baby and you want someone to loan you more than $10,000? You should have read the sticky thread about how borrowers are to conduct themselves when applying for a loan here.

Look what happened to your trust rating. From a healthy neutral to a sickly bleeding red. I like red, don't get me wrong, just not that kind of red. By brazenly asking for a $10k loan here without offering suitable collateral, you now put yourself in a position where all your future loan requests (and trades of any kind) will be treated with extreme suspicion.

1085  Economy / Goods / Re: [FOR SALE] 2x Apple Iphone 7 Unlocked 128GB [450$ Each] on: September 06, 2017, 04:47:51 AM
That's the correct way to transact and trade here. Always use escrow. The middle man must be a trusted escrow member here who will hold the bitcoins until such time the phones arrive and are inspected and verified to be genuine, icloud-unlocked, untampered, without defects and "like new" as you described above.

Provided the IMEI of both phones are not banned or blocked by Apple (which is the case when they are reported as stolen or illegally obtained) then I think this is a fair and clean deal. It's important to remember that escrow is an asbolute must.

Any attempt to bait and switch, for example by inviting the buyer to "discuss" the deal on Skype or pm and then trying to tempt or lure the buyer to pay a deposit) should be reported and exposed here.

Buyers are encouraged to take the phones to an Apple store for inspection and a warranty query. And for store staff to check if anything has been tampered with or replaced such as the screen, any internal part, etc.
1086  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Fast scanner Private key Bitcoin address on: September 05, 2017, 12:51:06 PM
Look at all these bunch of friendly scammers red-handedly hard at work here. Aren't they cute? One opens the thread while the other (or probably one and the same person working on two btctalk accounts) vouches for the other. Such great teamwork.

Lovely marketing work there. A scanner for stealing other people's private keys. Or is it what I think it is? An imaginary scanner? Oh I know what this thread is about! An invitation to buy this revolutionary private key stealer scanner! Payable with bitcoins of course. Pay first naturally. Send the bitcoins ASAP and no questions asked.

Looks like DTs will be painting the town red again.

More like a scammer marketing his own scanner. Beware of YouTube-based sales. Reminds me of the BCH scam a few weeks ago on YouTube.
1087  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Open Letter to Mr Hacker - by Allex Ferreira on: September 05, 2017, 11:25:39 AM

I dont know how much you understand about hacking , security and so on. But if u do, we can have a chat via Skype so I can disclose the case for u. contact me on allexandre73@hotmail.com

I am not a fan of Skype and I rarely use email. Hacking is Latin to me. Unlawfully accessing someone's account is illegal and I detest what such intrusions represent: scamming, thievery and fraud. So I'm afraid I can't talk about this topic privately on Skype or email.

I was simply curious about how one could be so negligent in safeguarding $120k worth of coins and of course amused to see you write an open letter to the thief.

I doubt you will recover those bitcoins. Try counseling or yoga to help heal the wounds.
1088  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Looking for Online Banking account on: September 05, 2017, 11:08:36 AM
I am looking for an easy to use online banking account for eg n26 but n26 currently only accept europeans, anyone knows of such banks that accept international?
Which country are you looking for, I have uaccount and it doesn't have as many restrictions as other online accounts.

Now why would you be "selling Poland ID scans"? For what purpose are the scans? For opening bank accounts under other people's names? Identity theft?

The brazen advertising of ID and bank accounts leads me to think these bank accounts you are offering were opened fraudulently. This can lead to serious consequences for the buyer but even more serious and damaging effects to the persons whose identities were misused.

1089  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fortune Jack forced me to gamble even after I told them I had a gambling problem on: September 05, 2017, 08:28:21 AM
So this means the entire (going by my example above) 5 BTC would have to be wagered 5x over. Right?

This is an evil scam of the evilest kind.

I hope gamblers will come to their senses and avoid injecting their coins in these casinos. It's a unwinnable game, no matter how you play your cards. It's like a legal scam. A tolerated and licensed one.

1090  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [local bitcoins] how to avoid scam, selling - UK united kingdom on: September 05, 2017, 03:24:34 AM
It's about MITM (man in the middle) scams where a scammer defrauds someone (for example, a fictitious car or phone or diamond ring or whatever on Craigslist, Locanto, Backpages and other sites) and instructs that victim to pay to your bank account. The victim thinks it is the scammer's bank account while you (selling bitcoins) think the payment is from the buyer's account (who happens to be the scammer).

This explains the ID and other requirements in an effort to thwart this scam. Asking the victim to provide all those pictures (including the card linked to the bank account and a note that specifically references the purpose of the payment, among others) helps keep these scam at a minimum. It will not stop the scam completely since there are intelligent fraudsters out there who might instruct their naive victims to provide all their ID, card information and even that payment reference.

1091  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fortune Jack forced me to gamble even after I told them I had a gambling problem on: September 05, 2017, 02:59:39 AM
Let me try to understand this. Ok we have that 5x wagering requirement as a condition for withdrawals. Since it was sneakily included in the fine print, can anyone enlighten me if this scenario is allowed:

Say, I deposit 5 BTC. So now I play and win 0.2 BTC and decide to retrieve the entire 5.2 BTC. I now have to somehow overcome this 5x wagering requirement. If for example I bet or wager 0.001 x 5, this obviously satisfies that requirement. Can I then withdraw? Assuming I lost those entire 0.001 x 5 = 0.005 bets I would still have 5.195 BTC available for withdrawal. Will they now allow me to withdraw or do they have more sneaky rules to lock your money?

1092  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [BTC-E] Anyone able to reset their password on btc-e.nz? on: September 05, 2017, 02:27:31 AM
Hey there,

Anyone able to reset their password? I haven't received mine in 2 days.

I hope you will finally see a light at the end of that very long dark tunnel you went through in your effort to recover your bitcoins. Their recent seizure will hopefully have given this exchange a lesson to remember and to abide by when deciding how to treat their customers in the future. The contemptuous way they treated your endless requests to access your coins was uncalled for.

I'm sure each account comes with a "notes" subsection so they should have a record of your previous attempts to access the coins. Let's see if this time they treat your request with a friendlier tone or if they stubbornly continue to stand their ground.

Keep us updated.
1093  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Account BTC-e still suspended after providing evidence. on: September 05, 2017, 02:16:35 AM
Scammers will always be scammers. It's ingrained in this exchange's very being. To unlock your (probably empty) accounts, they will require you to go through hoops and fire and storms. I use the phrase "probably empty" here because your coins, if any, would have been part of their seized assets, consolidated in one single seizure event. Their entire cold storage.

Then if you pass that first stage, you have more tests to pass. Questions they know an average human is incapable of remembering answers to. And of course there is always a plan B: the industry-proven silent treatment. Silence is after all one of the best tools in a scammer's arsenal.  You will need nerves of steel to patiently wait it out.

If they haven't learned from the recent past, they risk being seized again... and again.
1094  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Looking for Online Banking account on: September 04, 2017, 09:29:43 PM
I am looking for an easy to use online banking account for eg n26 but n26 currently only accept europeans, anyone knows of such banks that accept international?

If you need your own dedicated private IBAN account for non-Europeans, you can try opening an account with MisterTango.

Here's their website:  https://mistertango.com/en/

I have an account with them. Opening one involves providing documents on their KYC screening platform, Jumio. It is integrated in their app.

It is a fully functional account with a MasterCard debit card linked to it. I already did several SEPA transfers from this account to my German account and all transfers worked flawlessly. The transfers are automated and executed immediately on the app. They arrived in Berlin the following day.

Be sure to keep your account within fair usage limits and don't deposit eye-popping amounts from third-party sources as that would trigger a flag. There was someone who posted about it on this forum and his account was promptly closed.

As for me, I'm satisfied and happy with the account. The card works and is accepted at ATMs and retail merchants worldwide. Used it in Singapore and Bangkok so far.

1095  Economy / Lending / Re: I want to offer lending service on: September 04, 2017, 09:01:30 PM
Dear communities,
I'd like to invest my bitcoin in order to earn an 30% yearly.
I already provide loan on poloniex and other exchange but I am wondering if there is other services where I can lend my BTC.
I am open to advice in any matter and topic.
thanks
Gordon

Hi Gordon.. welcome to bitcointalk. Always heartwarming to see these endless new accounts zeroing in on the lending section.. (I know I know and I'll keep the rest to myself).

Anyway, as for lending here, you must require a borrower to provide a stable and appropriate form of collateral to secure the loan. Collateral should adequately cover and secure the loaned amount and should preferably exceed the amount by a certain safe margin to ensure you, the lender, can liquidate it in the event of a default or a devaluation of the collateral. Acceptable collateral is usually stable altcoins. Just like bitcoin, the value of altcoins fluctuate and can appreciate or depreciate.

Most importantly, the collateral should be held by a trusted escrow provider of the forum. I use the word important here because of rampant fraud occurring across the forum and there is always a risk of fake lenders offering fictitious loans. The scam's modus operandi would be something along the lines of taking collateral first... then doing a runner.

If you have genuine and legitimate intentions, then your next challenge would be to compete with the countless established and reputable lenders here offering competitively priced loans.

1096  Economy / Lending / Re: Can Give Loan Up to 5 BTC - Collateral required on: September 04, 2017, 08:48:01 PM
hello i am interested in giving loan

5% interest per month
collateral required

You forgot to mention this: Collateral should be held in escrow by a trusted escrow provider on this forum.

If you seriously intend to lend, you should require collateral to secure the loan but it should be held by a trusted mediator or middle man and not you. This is to protect borrowers from being victimized or scammed by fake lenders offering fictitious or imaginary loans. Having collateral escrowed means borrowers are protected in case you decide to take the collateral and disappear without actually lending anything.

Having read the above, are you still interested in "lending" 5 BTC? Or did you have other plans in mind which I might have ruined?
1097  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Open Letter to Mr Hacker - by Allex Ferreira on: September 04, 2017, 08:28:49 PM

1 He just move the coins. he did not liquidate them yet!
2 Maybe he is not a thief just someone clever Hacker that wants to proof a point
3 way over 30 coins was stolen from my blockchain.info account
4 To have access to the blockchain.info wallet he had to get hold of my gmail account. Which he sessefully did, and deleted my gmail account. So I have no access to my personal email
5 B4 you ask my gmail account had all the security features on

Did you have 2FA turned on for both your email and blockchain accounts? How did he manage to penetrate your gmail account if you had "all security features on"? If this story is true, then you probably used a common password for both blockchain and your gmail accounts AND you didn't have 2FA for both accounts too.

Care to share the blockchain link showing the movement of these stolen coins?

How could the thief possibly know your blockchain identifier and the email address linked to it and the passwords for both accounts? This is almost difficult to believe.

You mentioned you have a "crew" tracking the coins. If your hack story is true, then it must be one of them responsible for the theft. I can imagine they would have had direct access to your account credentials.
1098  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinvented on: September 03, 2017, 11:55:37 PM
Thank you for having me as part of your signature campaign. Grateful for the opportunity to spread the word.

I was just wondering how this business model can stay afloat with the massive costs involved. Darkstar recently returned from his vacation and I noticed the pay out for the two weeks posting spree would have cost Chipmixer more than 2 bitcoins. Nearly $10k for 14 days which is a massive overhead cost. Given that you don't charge fees, I can imagine the signature campaign eating heavily into profits aka donations from generous users of the mixer.

I hope your customers will donate a more generous portion of their mixed coins. I would suggest introducing a fee system similar to bitmixer's traditional pricing model in addition to an option to donate.

1099  Economy / Services / Re: I am looking for places to buy btc instantly to transfer to my wallet. on: September 03, 2017, 11:32:54 PM
If you need the bitcoins quickly, localbitcoins and paxful... yes. Coinbase... a solid no. They will take your money quickly but withdrawing will take ages. They also have an uncanny habit of responding to your tickets after days or even weeks. Some don't even hear back for a month or longer. Just read the reviews and the mountain of complaints on their facebook and twitter accounts.

Their coffers are probably brimming with coins and fiat but they are ethically bankrupt. Unaddressed complaints. Notoriously oblivious customer service, with zero affect for the many customers who want their locked money back.

You can also buy from trusted members here who have dedicated buy/sell threads of their own. Most of them have a nice healthy green trust rating and you can trade with them with peace of mind.

1100  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopay Bitcoin Debit card + Giveaway on: September 03, 2017, 11:18:07 PM
Hi.. I have a fully verified Cryptopay account and the MyChoice visa card. I was invited to upgrade to your new contactless card. After completing the order procedure, I was prompted to pay and the promo code (plastic reissue) was applied to the price. However there was an error during the payment. The order didn't go through (but I sent the bitcoins) and it cancelled so I had to do it again. Ana (your staff) returned the bitcoins to me.

I ordered again and this time it went through smoothly. It is now showing as pending and being processed. I just wanted to ask why the promo code was refused for the second order. I was getting the error "promo code invalid" probably because it was applied to the first order which was cancelled.

I ended up upgrading and paying for the card which was supposed to be free for existing verified card holders which was what your co-founder's George's emailed invitation was all about. $15 isn't much and I paid it but I was hoping loyal long-term Cryptopay customers like me would have enjoyed the fee waiver.
