2102  Economy / Economics / Re: BANK RUN: Andorran and Spain banks go bankrupt, state refused to aid depositors on: March 22, 2015, 09:10:15 AM
...

We will soon be arriving at the point where it is no longer worth keeping money in the bank (hey, 0.1% interest), nor even working when ever-more of our income will be taken by the parasite PTB.

While it is very hard to avoid the banking sector completely (I am involved in a formal business), it is not hard to pull assets away from the money-changers as well as to just say "NO!" to spending on crap you do not need...  That lessens the amount of income you need, that might wind up being seized anyway when .gov gets bigger and badder.

what I find most bizarre and troubling that as the risks to leaving money on deposit in a bank have gone UP, the interest return has gone DOWN (now negative returns in some countries) ?! ... this is a huge disconnect from reality and historical precedents, something is very broken somewhere in the capital allocation machinery and the central banks are at the center of the brokenness with their hand firmly on the interest rate stick ... as the global economy spirals violently down in a sickening flat spin

I have deposits in banks, in 2 of them , 1 that my parents set aways while i was still young kid (now i`m 28), and one that i set away for myself.

And trust me guys i get really mad when the CB maffia lowers the interest every time. Now the official interest rate is 2.5% in my country and the inflation rate is 0.5% (that is probably 2-3% because they usually make up that number).

At the moment i`m losing about 0.5% /year , and trust me if they touch it even -0.25% again, i`ll clean out my bank account and put it all into bitcoin.

I`m tired of their debt ponzi scheme, and fuck them for stealing all our money.

My country is not that indebted yet, but the stuff thats happening in greece can happen here too.... I`m not waiting until the government thieves start to confiscate bank accounts.

I`m just waiting for the bitcoin price to stabilize a little bit (perhaps a 6-7% yearly monetary inflation and about a 3% price inflation if possible).

I hope the global debt ponzi will last until the bitcoin meets these criteria.
2103  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I'm Newbie for mining. Need Help for on: March 22, 2015, 09:01:29 AM
Hello

I'm newbie in mining thing.. and i'm planning to start mining but i have some question.

Well don't. You are to late bro, you need like an arena full of mining equipment to mine profitably.

You are late like 6 years for PC mining, your pc doesnt matter how good it is, cant even mine you 1$/day so forget about mining with your pc.

There are better ways to earn bitcoin.
2104  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help my transaction stuck for 10 days on: March 22, 2015, 08:58:58 AM
I had made a tx with blockchain.info wallet and it don't confirm in 10 days (it is not double spend, paying 1 satoshi fee) and I can't use the coins now. What can I do?

I had the same error with them a while ago.

The error is because blockchain.info didnt sent the transaction because their servers are crappy. The transaction was most likely ignored and stuck a pending.

Here is how you fix it:
1) Download electrum  https://electrum.org/#home
2) Import the private key of blockchain.info into the electrum wallet
3) Send the transaction with electrum (and put a fee for it 0.0001BTC, to make it fast)
4) Transaction will be send this way.
5) Froget about blockchain.info , their servers are crappy

2106  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Display summary data from different crypto currency wallets on a Win7 pc. on: March 22, 2015, 08:52:39 AM
Hi All,

I'm starting to play around with crypto currencies just to see how they work. On my Win7 pc I've got wallets for BTC, LTC, Darkcoin and Doge. Each of these wallets has a small amount of each coin. Is there an app that can give me a one page summary of what's in my various wallets? I would also like the app to display the current USD value of each of the various coins. That way I can get a quick summary of my crypto currency position when I do my quarterly financial summary.

Anyone know of any apps like this? I did some googling and didn't find anything. Thanks,

Advait

I made an exact software to show the balances of each address you input, check it out:

https://www.btcdlc.com/shop/bitcoin-supermarket/Quickwallet

Basically you just enter the addresses you want to keep track of and it will show the balances of it.

You will find my app very useful Smiley
2107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PoS coins on: March 22, 2015, 08:50:08 AM
Hello. Could someone explain or give a link to read about it - why PoS coins are popular and some people say that's the future of cryptocurrency? I understand PoW/PoS hybrid - this is really nice, but just 100%PoS? Why the hell anyone would need this? Why there is this hype about NXT, f.e.?

Pos has many many vulnerabilities already discussed in this forum, sure it has advantages by blocking the 51% attack, but if the market cap is small then if some1 buys up 51% of the coin supply they can perform the attack easily, so since because of this a few guys will own 51% of the coins in the start era to make sure nobody can aquire more than 51% fast enough.

This makes all POS coins unevenly distributed, and basically a pump and dump because if lets say 10 guys own 51%, then what if the market cap reaches 1 billion $? You bet that all of them will sell it and buy some sports car with it, they dont care about the coin.

So because of this its hard to find a long term POS coin. I think NXT is a good coin, but it needs more features though.
2108  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Best online Bitcoin wallet ? on: March 22, 2015, 08:41:44 AM
Blockchain.info is for simplicity and easy to use, perhaps sums under 50-100BTC could be stored here.

for more advanced use

Xapo for 100-500BTC since it's way more secure than blockchain.info.

However on Blockchain.info they dont have access to the funds, yet Xapo has high security like the vault is inside the mountain in a faraday cage is physically secure.

Although over 500BTC i would definitely not use online wallets, only offline.
2109  Economy / Economics / Re: How would a world with BTC as reserve currency look like? on: March 22, 2015, 08:29:30 AM

What you write here in big red letters (and beyond that) looks just what you are preaching against. Besides, have you ever had a bank card? I have a few, and the money is transferred to and from them almost instantaneously. And almost instantaneously here means that the money is credited (or debited) within just a few minutes. You don't have to wait for an hour or so until you get enough confirmations on the blockchain (most vendors require at least two confirmations)...

Someone recently said that even if the money had been shown on your bank card balance immediately after the transfer, you still couldn't spend it at once. I checked, and in fact I could

Man you are totally offtopic. Those 7 points that i emphasized there (exactly for the purpose of people understanding it, but looks like they dont) is exactly valid, and if you look around the financial sector for other new ventures from the post .com era you see that all of them needed between 5-12 years to reach mainstream. Bitcoin is halfway through and its doing a pretty good job so far, so i dont understand whats your problem about that.

I was talking about wire transfer, it takes 4 days to clear with all those stupid AML regulations, a grandma sends 15$ for his grandson in another contry and shes a suspect for terrorism is pretty ridiculous, yes she also has to wait 4 days.

A credit/debit card is not a money transmitter, it's more like a shopping coupon/token, because you can only purchase from preselected vendors (approved by our beloved ruling class), and you can't transmit money p2p with it. Also a card is directly bound to the owner, and can't be transferred, while a bitcoin address can.

So in this perspective, you have to go through like days of AML verification processes, (just look how many identity verification exchanges need for you to buy bitcoin from them), and it still takes 4 days to clear it's pretty silly.

Not to forget that they also charge 5% comissions. for card shopping and more for wire transfer.

On the other hand, you can "open a bitcoin account" in 2 seconds (depending how fast your processor generates the address), send money in 10 minutes, and you can also sell your bitcoin address, however it has no particular reason to do it.

Don't you see the crucial difference between the traditional financial system and bitcoin or are you just playing the ignorance?  Smiley
2110  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which Offline Wallet on: March 22, 2015, 08:15:43 AM
Armory offline wallet is the best. Use it on a permanent offline PC and interact with a USB stick through it. Make sure the hard-disk is encrypted and also hide your passwords very well, its the best security that i can think of, secure enough to hold 1 billion $ woth of bitcoin in it.

But only if you know how to secure it propertly.

Otherwise for smaller sumps Xapo, Blockhain.info and other online wallets are pretty decent too.

I recommend a Qr Code over USB. See https://github.com/hank/armorycompanion-python/

Well i use an empty USB, unless the virus can put itself there without i detecting it its very unlikely. Also reformatting it after every use, just for safety.

Also you can use a different CD every time you use it and burn it the offline tranasaction file to it.

The QR Code looks nice , but then again the risk is that it can have a backdoor and put more info in that qr code than needed...
2111  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many confirmations until i can re-send the money on: March 22, 2015, 08:11:42 AM

This settles it. You don't know what a blockchain info wallet is.

They DO NOT have access to your private keys....

And you dont know what security is.

"Let's just deposit 10.000BTC on an online site exposed to all sorts of hackers, and also take their word for it that they won't have access to it"

Basically this is your logic, its just a question of time until something will go wrong there, and it had, just look at the testimonials of people got hacked by using online wallets, many from this forum, so look around.

Blockchain.info is not some kind of scammy site who would run away given that they have received so much findings from investors. The code is 100% opensourced and people has confirmed that the private keys go to the server encrypted and they would have no chance to get it unless you tell them the password. Most of the hacks are the user's fault, using weak passwords and no two factor authentication.

Ok then even if that's true, there are keyloggers and other scrips that can read passwords, what about those?

See why would anybody risk 10.000 BTC, and expose it to unnecessary risk.

Now i say again, under perhaps 100BTC the security could be enough, but certainly for really large sums i would definitely not expose my wallet to unnecessary risk.
2112  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Intelligence Trap: the more stupid you are, the less surveilled you will be. on: March 21, 2015, 10:40:43 PM
There's a solution for this:

MinusIQ | The pill to lower your IQ permanently https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9pD_UK6vGU

The world's a much brighter place when you're not too bright for it.

Man that video just made me so angry...I got an iq of 143 and just reminded me again of how many idiot leftists steal and rob us, and then use that money to spread their own pleague of stupidity, ignorance, laziness and evil onto other people, it's just mindbogling how much harm can the "herd" cause with their sand-grain sized brains (metaphorically).
2113  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Voting Standards? on: March 21, 2015, 10:12:05 PM
Voting standards? That's like synonym to honest thief or good politician.

Ok i`ll tell you guys the reality: democracy is a scam. Yes you heard it correctly, democracy is a scam.

The fact that you make the most uninformed, uneducated, dumb herd mentality people to choose the most vicious and shady sociopath tyrant on the voting list is not really my definition of civilized society Smiley

See the control freaks will always manipulate the dumb herd to give them more power and take away freedoms, they are highly opportunists and they do everything to gain power.

So by these arguments, voting is just a "keep in the game" scam, whereas people are propagandized that they have freedoms and they should vote for freedoms, whereas voting is just an illusion to choose from the currently available tyrants on the ballot, its simply as that.

People tend to see that voting is useless, and it is, so the voting participation rate goes down, but now in the US they are starting to make it mandatory, how funny that can be  Cheesy

ADDENDUM

In as much as we'd like to have an effective government, we can't have it all, right? Every term, there is always an issue concerning the government and the people who are part of it, we cannot fully blame the person since we voted for them. On that note, what is the first thing you consider when selecting a candidate? Do you judge them based on their personality, their personal background, or maybe their outer appearance? Maybe this will shed some light on how our government really works. Smiley

Wtf man, an effective government? Thats the last thing you want to have. An effective government is basically a tyrrany, because thats all a government is a control freak command. If it's effective then it has total power and a police state tyrrany.

If it's corrupt then atleast it's loose, yea politicians steal all the money they get, but atleast it's not a total tyrrany. So i'd choose a corrupt government anytime than an efficient one.

The only role a government has is to control and enslave people, those which are the most efficient end up like North Korea or Stalinist Soviet Union.
2114  Economy / Economics / Re: Sweden walking around in the dark on: March 21, 2015, 09:33:45 PM

There's always that lawsuit to use as precedent, when some guy got in a car accident in the parking lot of one of the banks and tried to sue the government.  The government then said, can't sue us because it's not ours.

C`mon guys really, do you think it matters if its privately owned or national? It doesnt, the mere existence of a central bank is the source of all economic problems. Furthermore if it were public it would be even more susceptible to corruption than now is.

See a private central bank only runs a global ponzi scheme. A national central bank would run the global ponzi scheme + the bureocrats would steal everything, so its much better if its private, atleast they can run their nice global debt ponzi scheme efficiently, isn't that lovely Smiley

2118  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: INVEST BITCOIN!!! on: March 21, 2015, 07:46:35 PM

That is just plain stupud. Investing a small amount first to see how it does is the reason that most ponzis get so successful. They do indeed give a payout on the small investments and bail with the big ones.

Intelligent investors will never invest in such shit in the first place and will invest in things with real businessplan and a proven trackrecord.

Assumptions..

Who said anything about ponzis here?

I was saying about any investment. From your own perspective it's always better to just put your finger in the boiling water than to jump in it.

Even if it says about itself that its a legit service you can never know who is a scammer, so by default investing small amounts in something is better than large amounts.

Intelligent investors dont throw around 26.000$ worth of BTC to unaccountable people, even if they promise the stars for them.

Dumb investors will put their entire life savings in a get-rich-quick scheme, and then cry about it later when they lose it all.

If you have a 5 M USD portfolio of cryptos that you want to invest into related businesses and services, then you won't go around doing 0.1 BTC investments...

Also anonymity doesn't equal unhonesty. bitmixer.io is basically the oldest existing mixer. Or would you argue that its risky to invest money at a site that dooglus manages?

Actually yes you do, because you didnt aquired that 5m $ portfolio by throwing around 26k $ on random investment sites. There are plenty of matrix sites and ponzi sites where you can throw around 26k and if you are lucky you might make some money, but thats gambling not investing.

A careful investor first puts his finger in the water to see if its boiling or not, and only then jump in it.

I`m not familiar with that mixer site or the owner, but this is just a general rule of thumb about investing, and its valid for any investment you make.
2119  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many confirmations until i can re-send the money on: March 21, 2015, 07:42:13 PM

Using blockchain.info properly doesn't compromise the security of the private key. I have a private key that I have imported in nearly all wallets I have and it constantly has double digits of BTC on it. Still not stolen.

I don't think you know how BCI wallets work.

Yes it does, a secret is only a secret if 1 person knows about it, when 2 person know about it its already compromized.

The mere fact that it's on an online service makes it compromized. Sure its segregated and all that stuff, but one day they could turn scam and start looting big addresses 1 by 1.

But for 2 digits BTC is guess its ok if you trust them so much. For 3 digits BTC, i would definitely not use them though.

Also Blockchain.info has already beed hacked numerous times lately.
