the server it runs on is based in the US

 Shocked

Yeah...

I will get out as soon as I can :/    I'm shocked so far the response I've gotten about setting up a new exchange. For everyone asking I'm going to quickly set up something for what I am operating now. But sooner or later something will be operational over tor. 100% anon, 100% regulation free. If there is anyone who can help me make this let me know. My team is backed up with other projects right now. Thanks.

With that in mind, who's up for paying uncle Vin to go work him over? Could even make it a share on GLBSE Tongue

The uncle Vin option would be a lot cheaper, while providing some level of satisfaction, could we get him (uncle vin) to take a few pics?

I'd prefer it if the Uncle Vinny suggestions were left off the thread, though. I know people are joking, but

This was a joke?

Paying for violence to recover money :/     This is the GLBSE and Intersango way?   Hmm... interesting.
1628  Economy / Auctions / Re: 7-day auction: 1784.38 BTC in Shakaru debt on: April 03, 2012, 01:19:33 PM
It would be one of the greatest heists in the bitcoin community if shakaru ends up winning this auction below his original debt Tongue

Is he even allowed to bid? Roll Eyes

I thought about this, him bidding on his own debt will only push up the amount higher. Assuming he has the money he should let someone else win, then just pay it off. Why keep bidding it up, seems silly:/

People do this often.  Shakaru still owes the total original debt and anyone that purchases the debt is entitled for shakaru to pay them all the debt that shakaru now owes the new loan holder.  Just because someone buys the debt for any amount below the original debt amount does not mean shakaru can lessen the debt he owes.

In America, people lose their homes if they don't pay their mortgage or property tax bill and the property is auctioned off.  The owner is entitled to bid on the house and is usually encouraged to do so by their lawyer.

Yeah. My brain was not working when I said that. I'm normally pretty sharp on this sorta stuff, lol. Sorry for the fail.
1629  Economy / Trading Discussion / GLBSE 2.0, Is safer now. on: April 02, 2012, 11:09:18 AM
First of all I do not like to talk in public about this sort of stuff but I am doing so because I have a duty to my shareholders and people who hold my assets.  I apologize in advance. Nafario will be PMed a link to this thread.

GLBSE 1.0 was extremely solid. For the user to be at fault for a hack not only did someone need to have access to their physical computer but they also needed the password. I only kept the account on one computer and encrypted the HDD. If I got hacked it was not going to be my fault.
GLBSE2.0 is nothing close to solid. All you need now to get access to someone’s account is their e-mail address and password. That is it!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=60489.msg829923#msg829923

Nefario himself understand how risky this is and claims he will take no responsibility. I understand that point of view and I am going to make it very clear that I also take no responsibility!

Hold assets created by me at your own risk. If I am hacked I will take no responsibility. Why? My account is attached to a free e-mail account that I have used for years on public computers all over the world. Would I even dream of putting 1000s of bitcoins on the security of this free junk mail account? No, never and to do so would be negligent! This was forced upon me without warning or consent!

Sunday morning I woke up and found that I could not get into my GLBSE account. I was almost physically ill because I knew the password I was using was correct. I had no idea what was wrong. I first checked the stock prices to see if there was a massive sell off on things I held. There was not. This made me feel better. However there is a massive amount of bitcoin in that account and I had no idea if it was still there or not. I messaged and e-mail Nefario. He did not get back to me for 24 hours and finally told me that he is having problems with my account.

I do not want to deal with level of stress again so I’m making it very clear now that I will not be held responsible for what I consider to be Nefario’s negligence. Right now I still do not have access to my account and assume no one else does either.

This whole thing just blows me away. I’m truly in shock.

Looks like I won more slots than I really need, if someone wants to buy one PM me. Thanks.

But you fought so hard for those slots Smiley

Yeah, last few weeks I got outbid :/  But I'd rather have too many slots than not enough Smiley  Just don't tell my wife.  Wink

1639  Economy / Auctions / Re: Advertise on this forum - Round 26 on: March 26, 2012, 01:34:21 PM
Well I would like to keep my current bids at 2 @ 4 and add to them having a bid at 2 @ 4.5

Not sure if this can be done :/
1640  Economy / Auctions / Re: Advertise on this forum - Round 26 on: March 26, 2012, 12:46:54 PM
Current state:
Slots BTC Person
2 5 cablepair
2 4 Goat
4 3.5 aurumxchange

okay i was not aware of that rule. I guess two at four.

You can make multiple bids per post like you've been doing. I'm just going to assume that you're replacing your old bids whenever you post again.

It was 100% my fault as I did not remember the rule. I only read the OP once like 3 months ago :/

In the future however if I want to add a bid and hold my old bid can I just make a clear note of it?

Thanks.
