You will have to bid at least 1.5 for anything to count.

That might cause some trouble for me, Monday evening will be my last chance for internet for a while. Will you be back by then?

I'll send you a payment address in case you win.

Thanks:)

I don't think I'll be here for the auction end, though I'll be back 12-24 hours from then to collect payments.

1530  Economy / Securities / I will be traveling from the 4th to 12th. Will be offline often. on: August 03, 2012, 02:19:45 PM
Hello Everyone,

As part of my tour to the USA I will be mountain climbing in Wyoming from the 4th to the 13th (Aug).

I will have internet from time to time while traveling however from Tuesday to Friday(maybe Saturday) I will without a doubt not have internet as I will outside of civilization.

How will this affect payouts? I plan to pay out everything Monday night. However the cabin we will be staying in should have internet but it is not guaranteed. It is rather remote and well, it won’t be high speed lol.

So expect payments to be made a bit early, however don’t panic if they do not come. If they do not hit on that Monday I will pay double the next week.

Also people who want to do bond trades with me will either have to wait or be open minded about my travel. It would be best to do it with in the next 24 hours if you want it done quickly.

Also I am sorry for the delay in the response to the PMs. I will get them done when I can.

I am sorry for the interruption but at times life gets in the way. Sadly I had little control on the dates as we are going as a group.

Peace and thank you for your understanding.

1532  Economy / Securities / (FEEDBACK WANTED) 100% Insured PPT bond (GLBSE) on: August 02, 2012, 02:17:42 AM

The bond would have a face value of 1 BTC.

Assuming Pirate has not defaulted I will buy back the bonds at 1 BTC.

Assuming Pirate has defaulted I will buy back the bonds at 1 BTC.

The fee would be 1.5% interest per week of the face so .055 BTC a week would be paid out.

75% of the insurance money would be either at a public BTC address or in escrow at a public bitcoin address.

The point of this is to know that the "insurance money" is not being invested in pirate or being loaned out to people who lend to pirate or in GLBSE assets that might be helped out by pirate.

If I have 750 BTC in the insurance address then I would only be able to sell 1000 bonds.

If the default with pirate happens 100% will be paid back. Clearly you will have to trust I can come up with the other 25% but at least you know most of the BTC exists in a very very safe form.

I would sell this around 1.5 to 1.6 BTC each. That is less than what YARR is going for. The difference will be that you can see 75% of the insurance money in the block chain and know it will get distributed.

All idea welcome.

Thanks.
1533  Other / Off-topic / Statement about the suspect of recent Bitcoinica hack (Matthew and Chaang-Noi's debate) on: August 01, 2012, 01:41:40 AM

So, you've had another day to think of another excuse, and you come here thinking we're going to believe you??

I would have had more respect for you if you had just admitted you stole the money and were returning it to avoid jail time.

So a fact becomes "excuse". And you're not believing it without reading.

And people should do things for "respect", not for truths.

You are very pragmatic and I like it. I respect you now, happy?

Returning the money will not avoid jail time. However it might reduce the amount of time spent. Judges seems to like remorse. However that is not what has been expressed :/

Why would he get jail time? Was there a crime committed? What crime was that? Which country was it committed in? Who committed it? I'm missing some details here...

You're missing a lot more than some details...

Would you mind helping me understand? Can you answer my questions above or are you also completely in the dark? I'll take your lack of response to each question above as a sign that you also do not know the answer to the questions and thank you anyway for your time.

Lol, you should quit trolling and go make love to Atlas...  We all know you are paid to support Zhou and wonder how recent payments have been.  Hmm.. Things to think about...

@Coblee

This isn't personal at all but your fellow miners over at BTC-E are taking on some serious Solidcoin type attitudes.

The challenge has a been made and apparently support over there was with them on it, in making a challenge that I couldn't 51% LTC.

Nothing like that to give me reason to resurrect some serious GPU hashpower, build up some EC2's (keep in mind even Coinhunter verfied I had over 700 EC2's running at the SC2 launch), connect up with some botnetter friends and bring some BTC out of USB deep freeze for fees... LOL....

This is fair warning to all.

Challenge accepted.

Standard shorter tactics:

    1. Badmouth the security
    2. Announce a major negative event for it
    3. Crash the price
    4. Buy a ton when it's worth nothing.

And y'all are swallowing the whole thing hook line and sinker.

yeah, i just bought everything up to .006 again. thanks for helping me get some coins!   Smiley
1540  Other / Archival / Re: deleted on: July 24, 2012, 12:14:19 PM
So is this possible? And if so what will happen to the ltc block chain?
It is possible to fork the chain temporary with power from amazon EC2, that would cost alot of USD to do, and it could not be sustained for a long amount of time.

The practical response would be to roll back the block chain to before the fork, resulting in all transactions and block rewards to be negated which happened after/during the event.

That said I doubt it would be worth it even if there are enough funds.

Well it sounds pretty interesting, and even a bit impressive if one person can truly pull it off. I have no vested
interest in ltc and it would be a shame to see people lose out, but as an experiment I am genuinely intrigued.

Not one person, I'll have to coordinate a few things with others. Coordination is my strength as well as having some pretty deep resources myself.

i.e. luke-jr

i sent luke jr 1337 ltc to his personal wallet...
