Replace Fees by complexity (1MB noHF UASF SW LN 2NDL ...) The unneeded complexity is the equivalent of some unneeded new middlemen, invited into / by core. You pay that middlemen with higher fees. All very interesting, and probably true too, but there is a great deal of resistance to overcome before most people, and institutes, will relenquish Bitcoin for some other altcoin. Kodak, Nescape, Nokia ... takes not much time in tech world. Everyone of these failed trying to hang on to legacy tech rather than trying something new and innovating isnt that what blockstream core are doing with og btc aka bitcoin legacy? New and innovating is what BCH is, allowing these cool features that i and others believed were never possible on og btc. Thanks to the lies, censorship and stagnation of btc by core. self proclaimed guardians of btc...makes no sense to me. They wanted all innovation to go through them, so they could make profit for their companies... https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/8edkvf/bitcoin_cashs_goal_is_to_reclaim_bitcoin_from_the/ok we all know blockstreamcore changed op_return to stop people building things on btc blockchain.. https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/80ycim/a_few_months_after_the_counterparty_developers/dv1o8pl/we know they wanted to go down to 300kb..forcing people to use their sidechains... and now i hear this.... https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/8ebsn4/an_interesting_story_about_the_alert_system/(i read comments about how the alert system was changed to stop gavin..again core did this... (Mr Stolfi explains this very well. ,thanks m8) https://np.reddit.com/r/Buttcoin/comments/8e9r0k/bitcoin_cash_will_soon_have_a_hard_fork/dxtkgjx/lets see what else we find out next.... Some opcodes had serious security issues and the rest were disabled as a precaution. There is no need to have these onchain when smart contract etc and other things can be done on a sidechain and merged mined with Bitcoin This way it does not bloat the main chain with unnecessary junk and removes all security risks. https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/8ef1hv/umortuusbestia_hits_on_a_pitchperfect_way_of/

tek, do you follow everything blockstreamcore does? if you do, please speak up and tell us how much control they have over the ENTIRE og btc chain because of segwet/ln.

Ive been thinking... https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/80ycim/a_few_months_after_the_counterparty_developers/Several years ago, there was a conflict between Counterparty and bitcoin developers. Counterparty was using Bitcoin’s OP_RETURN function which enabled anyone to store any type of data in transactions. By using OP_RETURN Counterparty was able to operate as the first decentralized digital asset exchange using blockchain technology. A few months after the Counterparty developers started using OP_RETURN, bitcoin developers decreased the size of OP_RETURN from 80 bytes to 40 bytes. The sudden decrease in the size of the OP_RETURN function stopped networks launched on top of bitcoin from operating properly. As a result, Counterparty had to move away from the OP_RETURN function and other blockchain projects which were initially planned to launch on the Bitcoin protocol....... ...... . Maxwell believes calculating on a blockchain is expensive and that bitcoin developers’ approach towards smart contracts is way more flexible as it records only confirmations of calculations. Maybe this is when they decided to shrink everything, op_return went first...blocksize would've been next ,1mb to 300kb. Im sure they have done alot more changes to damage og btc than most are unaware of. Now from what we have saw ... Is it expensive to calculate on a blockchain? no Did core want control and create blockstream with others to sell us all this tech on 2nd layers they can control...like ln...rootstock... or was it to help them stagnate og btc so they could push their own alts that they controlled with others like ..ltc,xmr... BCH brings freedom back to Bitcoin....

Not pump imo....it is....
serious correction.... mass awakening... people want this hi-tech, state of the art innovation.... a truly undervalued asset.... (want to use cointext...want to use memo...gotta have them BCH.. want to create new BCH dapps...want to share your ideas...gotta have them BCH)
From a traders pov....this year... BCH now has enough liquidity to handle the volume... also on every major exchange ..paired with fiat opportunity to 3x - 5x - 10x their investment is higher on BCH than og btc, $1k to $3k , 3x is easily achieved... 5x to $5k we all know that is possible(already happened).... 10x to $10k+....will happen too... so... og btc 3x would require a new ath around $25k... any more requires major investment and confidence from all(not happening now, too late)

I was wondering...what would happen if oneday in the future... BCH nodes were given 1% of miners rewards (with miners permission)
or if the miners agree to burn 12% but instead of burning BCH nodes get the 12% or ...maybe a weekly/daily lottery, everyones buys BCH and winner gets the 12%... or set-up a smart contract on BCH for charities..
What type of impact would that have? (just a thought , not a debate)
another thought, another future usecase for MEMO...use trusted memo users as an escrow service...
