^tbh m8, i just want this discussion on a proper thread..why dont you create one?
Keeps the segwet/lightning stuff away from from Bitcoin cash thread...and helps you teach the people that want to go segwet.

ffs all you roger ver fans,,stfu pls lols
he owns old btc aswell, have you all forgot?

Guys as you may or may not know...its not easy finding info on this lightning stuff.
I have been looking at it more to see what the fuss is all about and tbh...ITS SHIT lol

The noobies and alot more barely understand basic crypto wallet-wallet stuff...how the hell does anyone expect them to learn about paychans and hubs aswell, lol.
Then the lightning network expects you to tie up funds in the network order to use it...NO chance people are going to do that in such a volatile market.
The LN expects businesses to adopt it, hold btc in hubs and provide liquidty for it (or something) ...again merchants have left and they will not come back to a system thats even more complex....
I could go on and on...
jeeezz i wish you guys(segweeters) discussed this sooner....created a thread , had a chat...because im 100% serious...LN IS SHIT.

Who did you ask because everything you said in wrong

1. Noobies don't need to understand anything the wallet will handle everything have you seen a signed Bitcoin transaction output how many do you think understand that over type amount and click send

2.Tie up what funds you can close the channel at any point and the funds are back on the block chain well actually there never left the chain

3. Hubs hold nothing everything is on chain you just keep a signed record of transactions that gets pushed back on chain when you close the channel that does another transaction with the latest balance to your funding wallet

If you can't find out basic information then no wonder you are so clueless to everything in future don't ask Roger
Where is this basic info you keep finding? please dont send me to reddit or twitter lol
What about the cost of opening and closing a channel?

After many weeks of work new Lore is ready. https://github.com/janko33bd/bitcoin/releases/tag/v2.12.1.0-7bc7f54)

wallet.dat from 1.2.4 is not compatible with Lore

Here are some of it's new features in more details:

support for colored coins transactions
Original wallet does not accept colored coins transaction with more then 40bytes additional information, only Lore does

drivechains support
Extended Script opCodes to OP_ACK to count voting on new drive chain

Miner will be deployed later with an advent of rskj porting to blackcoin

0 confirmation transaction support
Ported from bitcoinxt

-respendnotify=<cmd> Execute command when a network tx respends wallet

UI alert when double spend is detected

RPC help for respendsobserved and walletconflicts

Respendsobserved array to gettransaction, listtransactions, and listsinceblock RPCs was added

Ddos protection against many 0 confirmation transactions
Rate-limit re-spend relays to a default of 100 thousand bytes/minute

Equivalent transactions are not relayed

Re-spends are not relayed into our wallet unless they conflict with it.

new address style with "blackcoin:" prefix, easy to remember(turned on with option)
Ported from Bitcoin-ABC

This is a wrapper around normal address, old address still work

blackcoin: prefix is added, you are not able to send BTC or other crypto to this type of BLK address(which is possible now..)

All letters are small, it's easy to remember

Address can be checksummed

Allows zero knowledge transactions

Turned on by adding -usecashaddr option

Old address style still works

fixed memory leaks
Cherry picked commits from bitcoin core to stop memory leaks

staking icon fixed
It was reported many times that the green arrow goes from staking to not staking every 30s, which is fixed now

toggle for unmasking password
Password can be unmasked to see actual letters and not *

wallet refactored
Ported from bitcoin core

build scripts refactored
Ported from bitcoin core

new 0.13 RPC
Compatibility enhanced for many different soft like join-market which uses this RPC..

Block builder patches
ported from bitcoin core

HD on GUI from 0.14
Lore was HD for a ling time, you just need 1 master key to backup every coin in your wallet

You have to start Lore with empty wallet and receive the coins

This shows "HD" sign in GUI when your wallet is Hierarchical Deterministic(HD).

auto-complete in console
Every command is now completed for your convenience

stake balance added to overview page
Overview page didn't have Stake section, so the stake coins were not shown.

RPC for malleability detection of standard transaction
New rpc call is added getnormalizedtxid <hex string> which return non-malleable txid

Donation address is used for rewards!

BAvuYBULaxGiRERsXH1ivNgXw7RobntLQm

This all could not be possible without other developers work and time spent on Lore.

Every developers time and work is rewarded.

Over 2000 BLK were already rewarded to the helping dev's.

Ask in Gitter, where and how you can help!

Excellent work guys  Smiley

Hi, new on the forum.

Obviously bcash is the ONLY GOOD COIN on earth. Backed up by some smart billion guys and you. With all the hype and a TRUE github account!!

Why not a new forum, like bcashtalk.org, bitcoincashtalk.org, truebitcointalkcash.org?...

Best wishes!

BTC community have been waiting for LN for how many years 2? Not sure if it will be even launched in future. For now here news from KuCoin exchange. BCH trading pairs and more are coming.
https://news.kucoin.com/en/bitcoin-cash-trading-pairs-open-on-kucoin-with-over-350000-in-tokens-and-3-btc-in-giveaway-promotions/

It's here now and growing fast very fast to say you need to be fairly advanced in linux just to run a node

https://lnmainnet.gaben.win/#

Yes it's still in beta and not user friendly and yes if you do not know what you are doing then there is a high risk of lost funds but it won't be that long before stable pre compiled binaries are available with user friendly gui's

Great info tek...but wrong thread wouldn't you say?

Not really when it's a reply to a message saying don't know when it will launch when it has launched its just not quite prime time ready yet

I seem to now be seeing BitCash users around the twittersphers saying we can have LN if it works the problem is you can't not while you still have the transaction malleability bug

Yea i also see segwetters asking for 8mb blocks but it just aint happining lols
Thing is, we are on bitcointalk, not bitcointwitter or bitcoinreddit...
Where on bitcointalk are these Bitcoin cash users asking for LN?
Where on bitcointalk will people be able to learn what you know about segwet/LN? and not just learn from you but from the devs too.

I noticed you called BCH BitCash , thats progress imo lol just another four letters bro and your their...cmon try it..Bitcoin Cash  Tongue

Why do you guys struggle to be honest?

Why not say the truth?  You had a look around and were surprised to see the lack of enthusiam on any thread for segwet/lightning crap.
You discovered there is no busy thread with long term and new community members comunicating with the devs of segwet/lightning.

Its that simple , but noooooo, you dumb trolls just like to misled and lie....ffs people here are not as dumb as you...wake up or stfu  Tongue Kiss

Its a badge of honour for us guys  Tongue, as it shows we are doing something right and are being censored, but your troll brain wouldn't understand that.

Since icebreaker did not/cannot answer this...i will put this forward again(and again) to all the old btc segwetters...

For weeks i have been asking segwetters about a thread dedicated to segwit/lightning on bitcointalk.
I cant find any big active segwit thread , with a regular large community or core devs teaching anyone here,
The segwetters should be trying to help people adopt this wonderful stuff they claim will work and people will use.
The way segwetters speak , you would expect a thriving community, lots of users, lots of views and replies... where is it?

You cant find one because...NOBODY GIVES A SHIT ABOUT THE BLOCK/CORE SCAM!
old btc is an old fork ,infected with segwit, it should not be called btc or bitcoin.

BUY BCH it is the only version of Bitcoin that is segwit free....

BCH IS BITCOIN...the only BITCOIN.

BCASH IS NOTHING MORE THEN AN ALTCOIN.

Don't listen to red tagged users be warned !

you see this is the pathetic response i expected from a segwetter....

NONE OF YOU TROLLS HAVE AN ANSWER  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

1418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BCash (LOL) - Rage Fork of Bitcoin - No scaling - Higher fees than LN on: January 19, 2018, 09:49:25 AM
why are you posting Blockstream/Lightning FUD in the Bcash (LOL) thread?  Bcash (LOL) doesn't even have Lightning because it still hasn't fixed transaction malleability.

Is your motivation just sour grapes?

Prob because for weeks i have been asking segwetters about a thread dedicated to segwit/lightning on bitcointalk.
I cant find any big active thread , with a regular large community or core devs teaching anyone here,
The segwetters should be trying to help people adopt this wonderful stuff they claim will work and people will use.
The way segwetters speak , you would expect a thriving community, lots of users, lots of views and replies... where is it m8?

Instead segwetters just spend their time coming here, talk trash and try and tell bitcoin cashers about segwet and lightning developments.   Angry  Angry
(kinda like what you just did)  Cry  Cry

Your baffling inability to use the forum's Search function isn't relevant to Bcash (LOL), except for the part I pointed out regarding Bcash (LOL)'s embarrassingly persistent lack of support for segwit and Lightning.

There are tons of segwit and Lightning threads on Reddit, EG https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/7rceo8/one_lightning_network_tx_is_18000_times_cheaper/.

Segwit is a fairly abstruse low-level feature; ideally it should be transparent to blissfully ignorant end-users. what end users? how do they find out how to use segshit?
Segwit is only high-profile because bad actors like Coinbase and Gemini are dragging their feet and making themselves appear incompetent by procrastinating instead of adopting the beneficial new tech in a timely manner, to the detriment of their paying customers and the network as a whole.

For over a year, Bitcoin Core has been very actively trying to help people adopt the wonderful segwit and Lightning technology which vastly lowers fees and dramatically speeds up transactions.

Where have you been?  How could you have possibly missed it?  I can only presume the source of your sour grapes grumbling is displaced anger at yourself for missing the boat on those obvious, well-publicized, high-profile efforts.

The segwitter community you seek is called "Bitcoin Core."  You have found it already.  You're already here, soaking in it and yet complaining all the while. Cheesy

It's very odd you choose to pipe up about segwit and Ligntning in the one place we reserve (like a short bus) for our 'special' Bcash (LOL) retrogrades. Wink

I said Bitcointalk thread...there is nothing in the search box here for segwit...
I did not ask for reddit threads.
So you say for over a year core has been trying to help ....again where is it on bitcointalk?  links please.
and who is this "we" you refer too? where are these "we", so i can have a lil chat with them in an unmoderated thread on bitcointalk.

Also big thing for me....Bitcoin is NOT bitcoin core!, the segwet community is bitcoin core and the segwit community doesnt exist.

1419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: January 19, 2018, 09:11:32 AM

I agree with the facts of your video in that LN is going to be for the banks and a disaster for BTC. However it is not all just the block size that is what really happened even though it is what everyone has been in an uproar about but was merely the icing on the cake. The real subversion happened in March of 2015 wherein they added RBF or replace by fee which broke zero-conf and first seen.

https://theflippening.github.io/open-letter-to-bitcoin-miners-from-another-miner/
"Due to the constant high fees and network congestion, they introduced an anti-feature called Replace By Fee (RBF) https://medium.com/@octskyward/replace-by-fee-43edd9a1dd6d (Mar 28, 2015). The aim of this was to allow users to pay a higher fee for transactions that were stuck and unconfirmed. This broke a critical feature called Zero-Conf which meant merchants could reliably accept a low value transaction with no confirmations as long as it was the first transaction seen on the network. Merchants could monitor key nodes around the network and reliably detect double spends with very good accuracy which allowed them to accept transactions with high confidence within 10 seconds and not have to wait minutes or hours for confirmations. Zero-Conf worked great for Brick and Mortar stores like buying your morning coffee. With the RBF feature, now users could pay for their goods, leave the store, then send the same transaction again but this time with a higher fee and send the amount back to their own wallet and rob the merchant in broad daylight. This feature robs Bitcoin of being a useful Point of Sale transaction mechanism."

So, to counter the double spend problem, which they created with their greed and desire for higher fees and corporate centralization, they added segwit which would later lead the way and allow the Lightning Network.

This entire uproar and fiasco with segwit vs segwit 2x forks etc was supposedly because of a slowing BTC and increasingly high fees and it was, however they created the problem to begin with in order to bring in their solution.

This is critically called the Hegelian Dialectic or Problem, Reaction, Solution. Create the problem (slow and high fees), get a reaction (please help us btc users) then offer up the solution, that being the one that they desired in the first place. Segwit vs 2x was merely a circus show to distract from what was being created in the first place. Blockstream and the other corp types like Mastercard and related Bilderburg connections are behind all of this since 2015 and were behind both Segwit and 2x.

They offered up both solutions to their problem and then let the people choose which cup of poison they wanted. It has all been a masterful deception wherein they will be the ultimate winners unless we the people see through this deception and choose wisely.
