You can't set up a fork unless you have a large amount of Monero coins already - it is just FUD!
Basic crypto-economics - you cannot finance the abandoned blockchain via selling off the bigger entity to buy dumped coins in the smaller entity.
Also, Mrpumperitis you accidentally included a proof, which justifies an immediate fork to introduce anti-ASIC measures onto the Ethereum Network's algorithm.
ASICs arrive in July 2018, an early fork in April or May 2018 eliminates the possibility of people using the abandoned blockchain to make a new coin, because waiting for 2/3 months for your ASICs to arrive would be an extremely expensive way to salvage a speculative ASIC equipment purchase.
And, you need to listen to one of the Core Developers meetings, Ethereum Network is doing soft forks and hard forks on a regular basis.
I dont see etc, BCH or many of the other coins forked recently (some with $bill caps) being fud...they are real. Basic crypto-economics . They serve a community and a purpose.... There were asic miners, fpga miners and gpu miners on xmr afiak....3 dif groups of miners, now 1 is excluded. yes so what if they need a large amount already, thats why they enjoy a fork to get even more for free. Back to eth, Firstly i wouldn't advise anyone to buy asics for a coin that has had a pos switch planned from near day1 and we are very close to getting to that part of the roadmap this year. Another thing if eth forks to rid off asics, the new changes could also have asics in the future, but they wont say or sell them to the public. If people want to use the old chain ,they can, its happened before, it could happen again. ETH roadmap continues.

Being a long term hodler of ETH, i think the recent asic debate should be ignored. We always knew from day one, that ETH was going to pos. My first posts here over 2year ago, was because i wanted into the ETH pos system. Hopefully sometime this year the transition may start. There is no point writing new code and HF to prevent new asics that wont last more than 12months. If for any reason, pos/hybrid pos is a long way off and asics do become an issue, then the new code could be put into the next planned update on the roadmap. Not a HF specifically for removing asics today. Also check out whats happening to xmr now... On April 6 the privacy-centric cryptocurrency monero (XMR) forked the protocol in order to make the digital asset’s mining ecosystem egalitarian. However, the hard fork has led to the birth of four monero-based blockchain branches all claiming to be the “original monero.” https://news.bitcoin.com/privacy-coin-xmr-splits-into-four-different-monero-protocols/After reading this and observing from the sidelines, i feel there should should be no fork for asics. Keep up the excellent work team ETH

Bitcoin Cash was a contingency plan bitmain is getting their main business taken from under them there was talks of a PoW change and bitmain needed something they could control so their miners couldn't be made obsolete.
The same is happening now with monero fluffy pony tweaked the algorithm to brick bitmains cryptonight miners so they forked off monero classic that supports bitmain (is paid for by) so they can continue to have a coin that is in their control and they can guarantee it's future.
No tek please stop the lies, BCH was not a plan for bitmain, BCH was to save all of Bitcoin from segwet and AXA banking group. Sounds like you want a pow change for og btc, go for it. tbh this will be the only way to keep segwetcoin alive, id suggest you segwetters start planning a HF for og btc and get rid of the asic miners before the asic miners get rid of you lot You could get gmax and fluffy to help you change the pow, im sure they are btc maximilists like most other ltc/xmr guys ohhh...welldone guys/s https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/8b3i4n/privacycentric_coin_xmr_splits_into_four/On April 6 the privacy-centric cryptocurrency monero (XMR) forked the protocol in order to make the digital asset’s mining ecosystem egalitarian. 8months and BCH is stronger than ever First they ignore you, (done) then they laugh at you, (done) then they fight you, (where we are now) then you win. summer 2018 Mahatma Gandhi This coin has great philosopher this is the beauty of this community how wonderful vision and approach they have. Now I found that person who is buying dip all the time and every time after looking on that I could say this you will be next millionaire in BCH very soon. Thank you, totally agree , this community has wonderful vision and a great approach. GUYS Oneday..not too far away...Bitcoin Cash will get majority of PoW then become de facto Bitcoin. That is the only way to reunite as one...all of us. I hope exchanges and others are ready for this, its going to happen alot sooner than most think. Also the opportunity to buy under $700 wont last...as the weeks and months pass, BCH will keep gaining more and more value, while og btc struggles... We will see BCH at #1. Have you compensated everyone you conned into buying BCH when it was at 0.2 BTC yet Youve been saying the same since the fork and at every bitmain/ver sponcered event and every time nothing happens BCH is almost at it's all time low even directly after the fork 8 months ago people we're selling BCH at 0.13BTC it's now onder 0.10 BTC lols haha , compensated lol , 0.2btc LOL , its been alot higher than that many many times. it went over 0.5!! did i receive peoples profits? no. Whats up tek, fatigued? like most segwtters lol your post quality is dropping m8. How many times do i need to tell you the same thing .... SUMMER 2018 will be when things change. 8months and BCH is stronger than ever First they ignore you, (done) then they laugh at you, (done) then they fight you, (where we are now) then you win. summer 2018 Mahatma Gandhi

https://www.cryptoglobe.com/latest/2018/04/bitcoin-cash-hard-fork-in-may-will-have-ethereum-like-features/May 15, 2018, and will introduce a larger block size and some new operational coding. The block size will increase to allow blocks of up to 32MB in an effort to allow more transactions at greater speeds, scaling the blockchain with the ever-increasing user base. Séchet also pointed out that new OP-codes (operation codes) and color coin technology could allow the introduction of basic smart contracts and representative assets to the BCH network in a move deliberately designed to emulate Ethereum's qualities. Bitcoin ABC is not the only BCH client - others, like Bitcoin Unlimited and Bitcoin X have apparently also agreed to adopt the new changes. In an intrview at Satoshi's Vision conference, when asked about whether having multiple implementations of BCH was a complication, Séchet said he felt it benefitted the community to have different versions for a number of reasons, stating that different client implementations meant the network could go on if there was a bug. He also pointed out that "if one client started going rogue it would start to lose market share and another client will gain that market share. It’s keeping everybody honest."

Now isnt this interesting...no trolls lol
They cant trash talk a coin that they are buying lol
Nope you lot have just been quiet not trying to spread false information lol, so tek be honest, are you back in?, have you bought BCH. Not a chance I sold not long after the fork for more than its worth now No probs, you will buy higher up then In a few months time, you will be telling people to buy 8mb BCH because your troll friends will try to keep the old chain alive. Im sure you will do the same thing you did before, tell people to buy clashic ...but this time you will say buy the 8mb. Thing is , everyone has to hodl BCH now till the fork if they want free coins from the soon to be previous fork. To say 0.17 has been available for a few days i'm not seeing any 0.17 nodes lets see how many don't upgrade there are a lot of non supporters for enabling the OP_CODES We will fork to 32mb BCH You will promote 8mb BCH once we move on Do you like the feeling knowing the ABC devs will implement whatever they want and push it as a forced fork every 6 months The main ABC dev deadalnix is supposed to have been pain by bitmain for 12 months work this is just a rumor but if this is true lets see if he carries on working for free if bitmain don't continue to fund him lol Its open source bro...im sure bitmain cant pay him more than what he can earn by using his brain and being innovative. Also when a coin is improving, upgrading, updating, yes it may require regular forks. Ive been through so many forks bro , i dont fear them...Darkcoin forked weekly for months to implement the masternode system, eth forks regularly to add upgrades too. Right heres the thing, og btc was stagnent since 2011, once satoshi left, nothing happened, no innovation, innovation requires HARD FORKS. Thanks to core btc lost its dominance because innovation moved to altcoins...we got smart contracts on eth and privacy coins and faster cheaper coins. All this innovation is now coming back to bitcoin via Bitcoin Cash...so yes regular hard forks will be essential for BCH to become #1 biggger blocks, privacy options and more are part of BCH roadmap and the community is 100% behind it. Not even 1 long term bitcoin cash hodler on this forum has complained about the upgrades.
