Got a Ikea Return card with $159.00 at 10% discount. So looking for 6.75 BTC shipped. Asking for BTC first before shipping unless you're a reputable member.

Ah I see, I've done small transactions here and there on places like SourceOp and that's the typical method they use.

What happens if your chargeback?
Chargeback means the seller is hosed. You can send PayPal funds as a gift which usually prevents chargebacks putting the buyer at risk that BTC is not sent. Just have to have some faith in people and hope that they have a somewhat good reputation and/or history of previous transactions.

I don't do paypal anymore....Got a inquiry another trader...
what do you mean by that? (inquiry another trader) what do yo use now He probably had some scammer do a chargeback or open a dispute with PayPal saying they never received the goods they paid for. It's a shame too, was gonna look for 10-15 BTC paying with PPUSD at some point in the near future. Don't have the time to wait for bank > Dwolla > Mt. Gox transfers.

"without prior written consent"
The big boys can still play (Mt.Gox, etc), but yeah, no more direct user-to-user trades via Dwolla. Unless you don't tell them what it is for...
Would give them an easy excuse to freeze and hold your funds. I had a nightmare with some other money exchange service before (can't remember which) and they froze my account and I had to jump through hoops providing all this personal information and high-res color scans of my driver's license. If they still allow transfer to/from Mt. Gox that'd be smart. Bitcoin transactions are probably the main thing that even got them started to begin with.

Yup, you've pretty much got it.
I don't know which years are valuable myself but I guess if they're in really good condition they could be worth something to someone who just likes to collect them even if they're not a rare year.

Just updating, but I went ahead and registered the key and it was good to go.

Code received. Recursive sent first, code worked and just sent him the BTC.

|

Just bought the Amazon GC. He sent first, code worked. Sent payment already too.
Thanks.
|
|

That would be me.
He sent the key first. Won't actually get to use the key and confirm it until later but I'll place some trust in him until I can.
And just sent the BTC.

Best bet is various amounts of Amazon GC's (US usually since they're region locked) since Amazon just offers great prices on so many different things.
As far as prices go, I'd say anywhere from like 80-90% depending on what you're comfortable doing. You could probably just ask for face value too but you'd probably be limiting the amount of potential customers by doing so.
With that explained, lemme know if you have any available. PM or here is fine.

Damn it. I've run into the same issue.
Very annoying to say the least...
|
|
|
I PM'd him the other day too and got a response but nothing since.
Hopefully his turnaround times are better when you actually send him BTC and that it's just a busy work-week for him.

Damn, too bad I didn't notice this thread beforehand.
Had someone back out on me for a transaction so I lost out on like 1.5 weeks (and the price of BTC has shot up a good chunk). And then now I've been waiting about a week for Bank > Dwolla transfer.
Supposed to clear this afternoon and then a wait for Dwolla > Mt.Gox.
Will definitely be keeping this thread in mind for the future.

I'm not having the same luck as you, and I still cannot access it. Hopefully he's aware of the issue though and already on it And it is down for me again. It shows his last forum activity at like 5-6AM EST so he was probably up late. Hopefully we hear something from him in a bit.

Wasn't working for me for a bit when I saw people saying it was down.
It appears to be up and running again now though. Signed in just fine and the interest payments for the week have been calculated.

|
|
Thanks. Just bought some metal. Once you get a hold of him the items are traded over real quick after sending the BTC.
|
|
|
Yeah, I just kinda realized that myself. I saw 8/1/12 and thought 1st of the month and since the 1st just passed that the changes were effective immediately.
Lazy skimming on my part.

my guess is that increasing consolidation of his accounts due to pass-throughs has led to him paying more coins for the same amount of borrowing. (i.e. it's more expensive for him to pay 7% on a few large accounts than 5% on many small ones totalling the same amount).
Will be waiting to hear from you on the state of things with the changes. Seems like the changes mainly affect people who deposit directly with pirate that aren't a trusted account holder but I'm sure you'll have to contact him directly to clarify. As it is now, the bitcoinmax page [shows] 6.9% interest for the upcoming week/next payment so it would be nice to find out. The BS&T official thread mentioned that trusted vendors rates will be 5%+ so it seems like he's trying to get away from managing and tracking accounts himself towards having it done by people who run pass-throughs.
