Asking for BTC first before shipping unless you're a reputable member.

742  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Need 3.2 bitcoins with PayPal - Can PAY NOW on: January 17, 2013, 11:54:00 PM
Ah I see, I've done small transactions here and there on places like SourceOp and that's the typical method they use.
743  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Need 3.2 bitcoins with PayPal - Can PAY NOW on: January 17, 2013, 08:26:51 PM
What happens if your chargeback?

Chargeback means the seller is hosed.

You can send PayPal funds as a gift which usually prevents chargebacks putting the buyer at risk that BTC is not sent.

Just have to have some faith in people and hope that they have a somewhat good reputation and/or history of previous transactions.
744  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Looking for a TRUSTED buyer on: October 20, 2012, 01:03:30 AM
I don't do paypal anymore....Got a inquiry another trader...

what do you mean by that? (inquiry another trader)

what do yo use now

He probably had some scammer do a chargeback or open a dispute with PayPal saying they never received the goods they paid for.

It's a shame too, was gonna look for 10-15 BTC paying with PPUSD at some point in the near future.  Don't have the time to wait for bank > Dwolla > Mt. Gox transfers.
745  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: NO MORE BITCOIN SALES THROUGH DWOLLA on: October 20, 2012, 01:02:16 AM
"without prior written consent"

The big boys can still play (Mt.Gox, etc), but yeah, no more direct user-to-user trades via Dwolla.  Unless you don't tell them what it is for...

Would give them an easy excuse to freeze and hold your funds.

I had a nightmare with some other money exchange service before (can't remember which) and they froze my account and I had to jump through hoops providing all this personal information and high-res color scans of my driver's license.

If they still allow transfer to/from Mt. Gox that'd be smart.  Bitcoin transactions are probably the main thing that even got them started to begin with.
746  Economy / Goods / Re: 1935 / 1957 Silver Certificates on: September 12, 2012, 09:39:58 PM
Yup, you've  pretty much got it.

I don't know which years are valuable myself but I guess if they're in really good condition they could be worth something to someone who just likes to collect them even if they're not a rare year.
747  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling Guild Wars 2 Cd 2 more keys on: August 29, 2012, 02:10:16 AM
Just updating, but I went ahead and registered the key and it was good to go.
748  Economy / Goods / Re: Amazon $25 on: August 29, 2012, 01:01:53 AM
Code received.  Recursive sent first, code worked and just sent him the BTC.
749  Economy / Goods / Re: Amazon Code for 15 percent off on: August 28, 2012, 03:03:10 PM
Just bought the Amazon GC.  He sent first, code worked.  Sent payment already too.

Thanks.
750  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling Guild Wars 2 Cd 2 more keys on: August 28, 2012, 04:21:11 AM
That would be me.

He sent the key first.  Won't actually get to use the key and confirm it until later but I'll place some trust in him until I can.

And just sent the BTC.
751  Economy / Goods / Re: What gift cards do you want? on: August 27, 2012, 07:09:00 PM
Best bet is various amounts of Amazon GC's (US usually since they're region locked) since Amazon just offers great prices on so many different things.

As far as prices go, I'd say anywhere from like 80-90% depending on what you're comfortable doing.  You could probably just ask for face value too but you'd probably be limiting the amount of potential customers by doing so.

With that explained, lemme know if you have any available.  PM or here is fine.
752  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MtGox withdraw delay due to reset password on: August 16, 2012, 11:41:55 PM
Damn it.  I've run into the same issue.

Very annoying to say the least...
753  Economy / Goods / Re: Bitcoins to Amazon Giftcards 20% OFF limited time PROMO on: August 02, 2012, 03:48:35 AM
I PM'd him the other day too and got a response but nothing since.

Hopefully his turnaround times are better when you actually send him BTC and that it's just a busy work-week for him.
754  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buy Bitcoins Direct @ MtGox last without fees or exchanges on: July 13, 2012, 05:12:03 PM
Damn, too bad I didn't notice this thread beforehand.

Had someone back out on me for a transaction so I lost out on like 1.5 weeks (and the price of BTC has shot up a good chunk).  And then now I've been waiting about a week for Bank > Dwolla transfer.

Supposed to clear this afternoon and then a wait for Dwolla > Mt.Gox.

Will definitely be keeping this thread in mind for the future.
755  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Paying 6.9% per week... Small accounts welcome. on: July 11, 2012, 05:46:01 PM
I'm not having the same luck as you, and I still cannot access it. Hopefully he's aware of the issue though and already on it Cheesy

And it is down for me again.  Undecided

It shows his last forum activity at like 5-6AM EST so he was probably up late.  Hopefully we hear something from him in a bit.
756  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Paying 6.9% per week... Small accounts welcome. on: July 11, 2012, 05:02:38 PM
Wasn't working for me for a bit when I saw people saying it was down.

It appears to be up and running again now though.  Signed in just fine and the interest payments for the week have been calculated.
757  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [H] TF2 Refined, Keys, Promos, Items [W] Bitcoins on: July 06, 2012, 04:26:10 PM
Thanks.  Just bought some metal.  Once you get a hold of him the items are traded over real quick after sending the BTC.
758  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Paying 6.9% per week... Small accounts welcome. on: July 02, 2012, 11:04:24 PM
Yeah, I just kinda realized that myself.  I saw 8/1/12 and thought 1st of the month and since the 1st just passed that the changes were effective immediately.

Lazy skimming on my part.
759  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Paying 6.9% per week... Small accounts welcome. on: July 02, 2012, 10:21:06 PM
my guess is that increasing consolidation of his accounts due to pass-throughs has led to him paying more coins for the same amount of borrowing. (i.e. it's more expensive for him to pay 7% on a few large accounts than 5% on many small ones totalling the same amount).

Will be waiting to hear from you on the state of things with the changes.

Seems like the changes mainly affect people who deposit directly with pirate that aren't a trusted account holder but I'm sure you'll have to contact him directly to clarify.

As it is now, the bitcoinmax page [shows] 6.9% interest for the upcoming week/next payment so it would be nice to find out.

The BS&T official thread mentioned that trusted vendors rates will be 5%+ so it seems like he's trying to get away from managing and tracking accounts himself towards having it done by people who run pass-throughs.
760  Economy / Goods / Re: [ WTS ] Amazon Gift cards. 20% discount - you pay 80% of the card value. on: June 27, 2012, 05:38:53 PM
Yup, I did.
