Hey, interested in purchasing Portal 2, L4D2, and Half-Life: Episode 2 from you if you still got it.
782  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS: (2) ATI 5970 on: May 03, 2012, 10:53:17 PM
That does seem odd.  Maybe someone else retracted their bid and it erased the auto-bids done through the Max Bid option?  Never really looked into how withdrawing your bid works and how it effects the bid history.
783  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 5970 Issue on: May 03, 2012, 09:27:40 PM
Can't speak from personal experience since I own a Sapphire (RMA'd it fine with a bit of wait) and some Diamond ones (never had to RMA but read that they're terrible about it).

As for AMD OEM ones, this is what a quick search brought up for me: http://www.amd.com/us/partners/rma/Pages/information.aspx

Seems like AMD only does RMAs with distribution partners so if Newegg says they only do up to 30 days than you might be out of luck.

There is the link on the page I gave you that says if you're a consumer and need help and when you go there on the left it says something about Service Requests so maybe if you register you might find out more.

Have you tried contacting Newegg and seeing what they have to say?

Hopefully someone else will chime in and tell me otherwise.

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated.

He also sent BTC when his family members told him the coins arrived before actually seeing them himself.

----

Also just dropped off the Jubilee in the mail for TECSHARE and got the shipping quote PM'd to ccliu for the Canadian silver dollar.
785  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] A few silver coins/rounds @ spot+shipping on: April 24, 2012, 08:44:46 PM
Hey, sorry for the delayed responses but I've been sorta occupied with interviews and stuff *fingers crossed*.

Anyhow, I've already shipped out the ASE and the Omnia to the joint.  He should be receiving it today according to the USPS tracking so hopefully he'll respond here with some feedback.

ccliu has also locked in the Canada silver dollar pending me finding out what shipping would be to Canada for him (which I will find out tomorrow at the post office).

From what I can tell, shipping in the US should be about $2 for First-Class or $5 for Priority and another $0.85 for delivery confirmation/tracking.

-----

That just leaves the Queen's Jubilee.  I've already received a PM about whatever remains so I'll give them a chance to decide if they want it or not (first come first serve kinda thing).

From what I've been able to discern (and according to zerokwel) it's 28.28 grams in weight but .925 silver = 26.159gr of silver.

Last closing price on 1oz (1 troy oz = 31.1034768 grams) of silver was $30.86 * (26.159 / 31.1034768) = $25.95.

PM'd you.
787  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] A few silver coins/rounds @ spot+shipping on: April 20, 2012, 06:25:10 PM
Yup, I'd have no problem doing international shipping.

the joint has already contacted me and arranged to purchase the ASE and the Omnia though leaving the Canadian coin and the Queen's Jubilee.

Since the Jubilee seems like it had been handled before I've picked it up myself and it does seem to have the signature silver sound to it but I'm no expert when it comes to that.

I do see that there is the copper+nickel one but will have to look more into trying to figure out if there's a way to distinguish between the two versions.

If you're interested in the 2 remaining let me know and I can find out what shipping to you would cost.
788  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] A few silver coins/rounds @ spot+shipping on: April 19, 2012, 11:42:03 PM
Hey, sorry about the late reply.

Yes, I'd be willing to ship first.

Just PM me with your shipping info and a preferred mail carrier; otherwise I'll just go with USPS.

How do you wanna go about determining the prices?  Kitco's closing price for tonight and whatever the Mt.Gox last asking price is at the time (what time does it close though)?

I can likely drop off the coins in the mail tomorrow afternoon (EST) after a phone interview I have at 2PM.
789  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] A few silver coins/rounds @ spot+shipping on: April 18, 2012, 10:18:14 PM
Shameless bump for a thread change-up.

I still have the DoTA2 Beta tradeables if anyone wants for 2BTC.
790  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Windows 8 on: April 17, 2012, 07:43:34 AM
any benefits for going to Windows 8 instead of using Windows 7?

Not sure if there's a difference as far as mining goes, but from what I've read Windows 8 is just Windows 7 but with an app of sorts that runs over the desktop which is geared more towards tablet PCs and touchscreens?

Haven't decided myself if I wanna bother playing around with it instead of just sticking with Windows 7.
791  Economy / Goods / [WTS] A few silver coins/rounds @ spot+shipping on: April 17, 2012, 05:19:52 AM
These coins aren't all flawless or uncirculated.  Seems like they weren't always kept in a capsule and possibly even handled directly before I came into possession of them.

Price will be determined based on what's shown on www.kitco.com/charts/livesilver.html and Mt. Gox last asking price.

Have no problem shipping through USPS/UPS/FedEx depending on your preference.

I can try to re-take the pictures in better lighting and outside of the capsules as well if anyone wants.  Can also place the coins in Air-Tite capsules with black/white ring before shipping as well.

[SOLD]1x 1oz 1987 American Silver Eagle (don't believe it's uncirculated condition but no obvious signs of toning either)

[SOLD]1x 1oz Scottsdale Silver Omnia Round (best condition of the bunch - only removed it from the capsule previous owner had it in to put into another)

[PENDING - Tecshare]1x 2002 Falkland Queen's Jubilee (a bit of toning - if someone could help me determine the silver content and value of this it'd be appreciated - from what I can tell it's like 28gr of silver which is like .9 troy oz)

1x 1962 Canadian Silver Dollar (a bit of toning - value here: http://www.coinflation.com/silver_coin_values.html)

Sorry to hear that dude.  You gotta at least pay a small amount of attention to peoples' post counts before dealing with them.  Even then post count doesn't matter much if you look at the bunch of useless stuff some people spam about on the forums (ie. the Amazon $500 GC giveaway thing inflating their post count).

And even then, you should do searches on the forum for their name or their post history to get a better gauge on what kind of a person they are.

well crap I didn't know every comment was an entry or I woulda been commenting a whole lot lately

Jeez, inb4 you got a big influx of posters inflating their post count with random spam.

I wonder if these price cuts will affect the 7990s release price as well.
795  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Ebay prices for used GPUs ? on: April 10, 2012, 06:57:39 PM
How do you view recent eBay transactions for a particular item?  I'm looking for the past few 5970 auctions that have closed.

Left-hand side under "Show Only" select "Completed Listings" and then set the list to most recently ended.

Damn, 7 pages already.

I want in on this. Tongue
797  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: What amount of BTC are people seeing each week from HD5970? on: April 03, 2012, 06:13:56 AM
Around 3.7 btc at current difficulty.

This.  You'll get about .5BTC per day from a 5970 give or take a little.

Don't have 5850's myself but at the least, you'll have to give us what core and memory clocks and voltage settings you're trying to use before anyone can give you more help.
799  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: FS Discount Amazon E-codes for BTC, Gox, or LR. I go first to trusted members. on: March 26, 2012, 05:08:31 PM
Just purchased some from him last night.

Did a few back and forth transactions.  He sent the first $25 GC, then I sent BTC, then I started sending BTC for the GCs and eventually just sent all the BTC and he sent the GCs once the transactions were confirmed.

Will definitely purchase from him again when I need more.
800  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Need info about Catalyst 12.2 and effect on mining performance on: March 22, 2012, 11:35:40 PM
I'm sure someone will say that it's terrible but I didn't notice too much difference myself although I'm not trying to get 100% performance either.

I hit about 750-800 mhash/s on my 5970 with 12.2.

Once I got my 3rd 5970 back, 12.2 no longer worked and I had to use 11.2.  Performance seems similar although I underclock and undervolt a bit now due to 3 cards on top of each other creating more heat.
