1161  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer grnlightnet / MoneyPakForBitcoins.Com on: May 30, 2013, 03:05:12 AM
Oh, and remember that the forum admins are not the nannies here. There's simply so much scams everywhere that the scammer tag usually comes late.

It's the same in the IRL - always caveat emptor.

It pisses me off less because of the relatively insignificant sums involved than that this asshole can just run scam after scam from the same nick.  There's nothing whatsoever ambiguous about this.  The guy just stole money and waltzed off with it and hasn't even bothered defending himself.
1162  Economy / Gambling / Re: Buy Pieces of Bryan Micon @ WSOP 2013 on: May 30, 2013, 03:03:44 AM
You guys can see that I only have ~16% of myself for the 1st $1k event, but I don't mind taking 30-40% of myself in the $2500 10 game.

Pretty sure the edge is bigger in the 10 game for a player who is even modestly competent at all 10 games and excellent at more than one.  So it's reasonable to risk more on that one.
1163  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer grnlightnet / MoneyPakForBitcoins.Com on: May 29, 2013, 04:43:05 AM
What the fuck is this bullshit?  This site blatantly stole money from anyone who tried to buy a MoneyPak.

The scammer who started it never even responded to defend himself.

Does anyone even actually get a fucking scammer tag from this stupid fucking forum, or are they just allowed to scam and scam again?

Why the fuck does this guy not have a fucking scammer tag?

Delete scam thread.
1165  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: New Exchange Site | BTC --> Fiat MoneyPak | Automated | ONLY 7% FEE!! on: May 29, 2013, 03:31:34 AM
I decided to hold off on a review for a bit because there were a couple minor problems with the site, which however have been fixed.

The automated feature works, and I got a MoneyPak almost instantly after my $30 transaction went through.  There was a minor issue with it that was immediately fixed, and made better to far more than my satisfaction.  Basically, the site owner gave me much more than the MoneyPak I purchased because I did not exploit an error in the site which could have been worth a lot of money to an unethical person.

I've waited to make sure the problem is fixed before reviewing.

The other minor issues, fairly typical of an early rollout, involved there being one digit too many in the amount due generated by the form, causing potential nuisance with the Bitcoin-Qt client and others that don't readily accept so many digits after the decimal point.  All my initial niggling problems were rapidly fixed.

In my opinion, the site seems legit and is willing to address problems immediately with a bug fix.  I think it may be fit to fill the hole left by the disappearance of btcpak.com.

Will buy again.
1166  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: May 29, 2013, 03:03:10 AM
Something I'd like to see (other than 2-7 Triple Draw) is High Stakes Poker style cash tables, with an ante, no max buyin, and relatively high blinds for the average buyin.  This could be fun even at microstakes.  Also, alternate blind structures like 1/1 or 2/3 and an option to live straddle tend to generate a bit more action.

d) got no fucking claim to damages based on the fact that there is no contract

As far as I'm aware, this is actually a pretty valid point.

Seriously, if you have no clue what the law is, shut your damn mouth.  BFL offered a product for a certain price.  Legally, that part was not an offer, though it looks like one.  However, the customer then offered to buy the product for that amount.  That part is an "offer."  BFL accepted that offer by taking their money (and stating "all sales are final" just underscores that).  That's "acceptance."

"Offer" and "acceptance" are what makes a contract.  That's also how it works under the UCC, which is pretty much binding unless you're in Louisiana.

Needless to say, "you're a dick" is not a defense to breach of contract, except in Josh Zerlan bullshido fantasyland.
1168  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: May 28, 2013, 02:38:55 PM
All sales are final is stated on their website. Ofcourse not the case if you check paypal's regulations..

All sales are final also basically states that they're establishing a binding contract to deliver a product in return for money they already accepted.  Apparently, they're lying about that "all sales are final" thing, too, because they apparently no longer consider sales "final" when they try to weasel out of their responsibility to deliver by canceling your order if you complain about them not delivering.

I'd love to see these assholes get in criminal problems and Sonny go back to prison where he belongs.  Maybe Josh can be his prison bitch.

Run by 001sonkit. Social dice game.

Saw this earlier. Really good unique idea. Hopefully takes off.

I like that beggars/scammers are banned.  One of the more frustrating aspects of a lot of BTC sites is how much flat-out stealing, swindling and spamming are allowed despite the fact they are a hugely negative influence on player experience.

Almost any player would need staking for the $1M buyin tournament as you'd almost have to be a billionair to fit it into proper br management. But if you can't put up $10k for playing the main event, you're just a cheap fucker...

Most poker players cannot afford to play in the main. The majority of players who go to Vegas this time of year are playing in the smaller daily deepstack tourneys, the cheaper buy-in events at other venues and maybe one or two bracelet events.

I mean, props to you for being able to sneeze at $10k like it is nothing, but that is kind of an out of touch attitude.

Only two basic sets of people really have good reason to buy into the Main Event with their own money without any kind of staking.  Those are people, often relatively wealthy or who win a satellite, for whom it's worth the $10K just for the experience.  This is why the second class of people have a very high EV for the event, because the former class is usually dead money.  That is the few professional poker players with rolls over $1 million or so that can afford to risk 1% of their roll for a shot at bigtime money.

That's essentially an approximate application of Kelly criterion betting to poker tournaments.

Most poker pros who routinely play tournaments have some kind of staking deal, and may buy shares of other players.  I think most people watching TV poker would be surprised to find out how many of those final table regulars you see over and over again own pieces of other players at the same table, and are themselves being staked by those same players.
1171  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Video Casino -- Keno is live! [UPDATED 5/19/2013] on: May 26, 2013, 12:14:15 AM
Pretty sure this is a bug.  I had autoplay with autohold on, and saw this hand.

Seriously?  Nothing gets authold on that hand?  I think the "proper" play was to hold every card and just go with the flush.  I felt gambly so I went for the wild royal, and hit the flush again.  But still, this seems to be a bug.
1172  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CoinLab suing MtGox for $75 milliion? on: May 25, 2013, 11:18:49 PM
both guys are members of Bitcoin Foundation, both guys wanted to cooperate. But my opinion is Coinlab's Mr. V is a Bastard. He chose war instead of peace.

If someone signs a contract to do something and then doesn't, you don't just suck their dick.  You sue their ass.  Unless you are a total sucker who likes being made a fool.
1173  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: May 25, 2013, 11:16:06 PM

Moron on ignore.

Look up "offer and acceptance."  Drooler.
1174  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: May 25, 2013, 08:21:25 PM
Put all the 5 post shill accounts and BFL trolls on ignore and the thread gets a lot more manageable.
1175  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: May 25, 2013, 08:18:29 PM
The fact is, BFL accepted money and by so doing contracted to deliver a product.  They're still in breach of contract if they involuntarily "refund" you because they don't like the fact that you're unhappy with their illegal actions.  The only reason they probably won't get sued is their suckers are weaklings and fools who would never have the balls to do anything.
1176  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: May 25, 2013, 05:57:24 AM
Its obvious this is a huge scam. Huge hashing spike at their location too? weird...

I'm not a fan of BFL (check any of my other posts on these threads), but this one seems to be bogus.  This "spike" has been pretty steady and is related to one of the largest pools.  It is not a new development and likely has nothing to do with BFL at all.  Frankly, I do not believe they have the iron to generate a spike like that, and if they did, they would be shipping.

My personal guess is they have prototype-type units at best, built at a very high per-unit cost, haven't gotten anywhere near getting the per-unit cost to anything profitable, and are still trying to develop stuff like the Minirigs while delivering stuff like the Jalapenos.

I like to think that if they actually were sitting on all the pre-orders mining with them instead of delivering that this would wake up the BFL zombie cultists from their brainwashed haze, but probably not.  They've all drunk the Kool-Aid by the gallon.
1177  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: May 25, 2013, 02:05:38 AM
And another two post shill account hits the bozo filter.

Must have WOT rating or trusted escrow.
1179  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: May 24, 2013, 09:35:59 PM
Sonny has gone on a plea bargain so the prosecutor didnt have to prove shit. He didnt even get a trial, since he cut a deal and simply went to jail.

Yes, which means it's proven for all intents and purposes, such as a subsequent civil suit.

I'm sure he just pled guilty for the fun of it because he loves prison, though.  He didn't actually do any of that shit.
1180  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer grnlightnet / MoneyPakForBitcoins.Com on: May 24, 2013, 08:28:20 PM
It's seeming like this guy might actually be stupid enough to scam under his own name, but he could still be a victim of identity theft, I suppose.

Whoever is the scammer is pretty stupid, scamming for $50.  Usually, even a scammer has the minimal IQ to come through on the early cheap orders before defaulting on a bigger one like a $500.  Whoever this is is a low-rent thieving punk.
