How long is it taking lately to process share transfers?

btw where's Sturle to calm everybody down?
rofl. Still, it's not like you couldn't see it coming... this agony has been very very slow, almost 1 year ongoing, slowly building up with more and more "malfunctions"... any remotely wise man would have walked away at the first sign of trouble, so people who have been still using mtgox during the last year are either total fools or total noobs. And being a noob isn't an excuse: they could have tried to do some research first: everything has a price.

tl;dr I dn't have shares of crapcoin anymore but should i get involved? because i once was a shareholder but I'm not sure if its worth the ffort.... is this going to make me rich? I sold my shares to someone else since i saw the ship going down.... so should i participate or not? IDK T_T
If you sold your shares, you have no claim. IANAL, but... Are you sure? After all, if he sold the shares when their value was tanking because it was suspected to be a scam, why should he hold no claim? Sure, he sold to some higher fool, but still he was damaged by the scam.

Buongiorno a tutti.

Lol this stock moves a lot on rumors. Just relax and wait on Friedcat.
There is no Friedcat.

I am really tempted to sell my shares and buy back in a month and a half in an attempt to double my holdings
I'm not following. Either gen3 is successful or it isn't. If it isn't, value will drop massively and might kill the company: buying them back will get you likely worthless shares. If it is, value will go up: selling now and buying them back later might halve, rather than double, your holdings.

The problem with GOX is that they have been delaying payments for about a year now. They would not be burning their reputation in the way they are if they didn't have to. It looks like they have serious debts we don't know about. I don't understand how this can be as they should be strongly profitable.
Seized assets for sure. Might be they also screwed up something, but there's no proof on that AFAIK.

Quite a misleading thread title, OP.
+1 I'm really pissed of by this attitude, both in forum and in newspapers.

I just wanted to stop by and say your service sucks

rofl. I do not blame nor condone this, but it is fun neverthless.

Btc just went through a huge growth, and Gox received at the very least $20 million in deposits, their order books went from $20m to $40m.
That's what their own platform states, maybe, but how can you know they aren't operating as fractional reserve, or that they might fill the order book with bogus data? I look with my eyes and see that first USD withdraws delay, after a few months EUR, after a few more months BTC, finally JPY too... I can safely say they are not reliable and they should not be trusted with your money, hence you shouldn't trust either what they state. They can state they own 10 gazillion dollars for all I care: as long as they aren't able to actually send it, they are worth exactly 0 to me (and to any sane person).

i really don't know what is happening at Gox
They're running out of money? Are people so blind to keep trusting them? Big red flags mean nothing to you?

Running a virtual fund is grey, run with money is definitely black and will trigger witch hunting.
If he really want to pretend nothing happened, he could silently distribute the BTC left and hand over the fund to Ciphermine, that's much better.
Well, this makes sense. Though I still can't imagine what's keeping him, then. Didn't he have a dead man's switch?

More info on the Eastern Africa venture coming soon...
Just my 2 satoshis - I really think offering the zSIM alternative to M-PESA (or maybe in collaboration?) would be an amazing opportunity, not only for bitcoin but also the unbanked of Africa. Agreed, though that's more western Africa unless I'm mistaken. In eastern Africa I guess they will need something to help or replace hawala.

Oh yeah the USD seems to be bitstamp, but I'm in UK and my parents are in Sweden. GBP and SEK both seem to still be using MtGox prices. It's a detail, but pretty annoying.
Even EUR looks way up to me, it currently is 687€, while on TheRock is 620€.

l'unico problema è il costo della corrente se la hai "free" vai tranquillo
Certo, perché l'usura dell'hardware non conta nulla?

We would be much less worried if he logged in periodically and kept quiet.
Obviously wrong. People would still ask "why does he login and don't even bother to say what's going on?". No, to me Deprived is either dead, seriously injured, in prison, or hide somewhere for some reasons. There's no reason to think he's a scammer. It's just 150 BTC and he had much more before. Therefore, if there's some login record to prove he's still alive, I may feel angry but not worried. But: 1. just logging in doesn't prove he's alive and well 2. you would still ask why, if he's able to log, he doesn't bother to post My personal bet is on "the lawyer told him to just run, and he did", i.e. he likely wasn't ill intended, but he might have been partially forced to pretend all of this didn't exist. That's just a wild guess, of course.

I'm sure FC is more interested in making millions that taking 7 days off.
I'm sorry, but this post is a bit... silly. Of course the CEO wants to make more money... but unless every single employee is a shareholder, of course they are going to take a vacation, given the chance!

What is it you dislike about Havelock?
Did you follow their IPO?

We are considering a project in Eastern Africa but not in that state.
Cheers! While I'm still unconvinced by this project, mostly because of Havelock's involvement, I sincerly appreciate this ironic and fun response (seriously, no pun intended).
