If you plant enough seeds one of them is bound to grow
If they all grow, however...
22  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Three outstanding bitcoin dot com domains for sale on: September 12, 2014, 02:09:51 PM
Should have added 'in my opinion'
Everything you say it's your opinion, so it would have been kind of redundant.

A previously published example (my largest XMR purchase to date):  I purchased a large-format oil painting in XMR; the artist subsequently paid rent in XMR.
Did the artist pay the rent to someone else than you? It makes all the difference.
Plus: did he have a regular contract, and got a invoice?
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : *** shutting down - please withdraw your coins *** on: September 11, 2014, 09:46:10 PM
If I want to invest in just-dice, In which way can I do it? I don't know anything about just-dice  Angry
This post is leaking so much fail that I almost slipped up.

1. you failed to read the very TITLE of the thread, and you want to invest?
2. you don't know anything about it, and you want to invest?

what in the holy name of shiny fuck?!?
25  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Three outstanding bitcoin dot com domains for sale on: September 11, 2014, 01:14:37 PM
Definitely not outstanding.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: rpietila Altcoin Observer on: September 11, 2014, 01:12:57 PM
actually you re-started this topic to cover up your nazi style censorship rules you posted on the old topic.
So... post in another topic, maybe?
27  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Pizza for bitcoins? on: September 11, 2014, 12:51:31 PM
Sorry but youre dumb. Its not supposed to "teach us a lesson" and "dont spend your bitcoin" Back then 10,000 for a pizza was a nice deal and anyone of use here would've done the same. The point of a currency is to SPEND it, thats how it grows.
True.

However you should consider it is also stupid to sell/spend everything.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: rpietila Altcoin Observer on: September 09, 2014, 08:07:20 AM
I will continue soon, this is messy to explain...
It is messy only if you go into details, but the core is quite simple: if you buy you also push the price higher, if you sell you also push the price lower.

Warning! These are most likely sockpuppets.

When the valuables (capital) are your Knowledge and digital assets, no one needs to know who or where they are.

[...]

Tangible things are like so totally yesterday. They are declining asymptotically to a cost of 0. Get with the paradigm.
Your Knowledge will not protect you from a club hitting your head.
Also it won't feed you.

Sure, if you have knowledge, maybe you are wise enough not to go to a rough neighbourhood, but brigands can still reach your home. You aren't safe.
Sure, if you have knowledge, maybe you can use it to garher food or get paid and use that money to buy food. But in-itself it isn't edible.

You are spreading nonsense.

I somewhat agree this is often the case, but generalising and saying "no force full stop" turns it into an utopian anarchy which exists only in fools' dreams.

If there isn't someone entitled to the use of force to mantain order, someone else will just decide to use force to his own advantage: this is anarchy.

So, unless you plan to become a Warlord in a world controlled solely by Warlords (in that case please let me know and I'll consider moving into your territory if that happens), you should aim to fix the government, not just to bash it.

Imagine a world where everyone is armed with individual technology which thwarts force. Then we don't need the government to protect us from warlords.

Welcome to the Knowledge Age.
Like, personal force-fields, both wearable and protecting your valuables?
Well, this is SciFi.
I love SciFi, mind.
Now, back to the present...

The case caused me to lose any respect towards the organization pulling such a trick. If they regard me as scum, so be it both ways.

There is no limit whatsoever these sad clowns will do if we let them. They can make any laws and when they are not convenient, change them, amend them, or just act irrespective of them. The less people resist this fuckery, the easier it is for them to continue. The first point of realization would be to realize that any use of force or threat thereof, towards your freedom, is a crime. On their part, not yours.

And the Poloniex IPO hasn't even started yet
Busoni will be bankrupted by lawsuits in 6 months if that happens.  It would be the end of Poloniex.  The IPO is unequivocally illegal under U.S. law.  The exchange will be responsible for any and all losses to investors.
After all the security debacles he's been under, honestly I expect no sense at all coming from him.
Poloniex has been on top of the list of the "going to die soon one way or another" for many months so far.
The fact that it still hasn't died doesn't mean anything.
Anyone keeping funds there must be either insane or terribly misinformed (i.e. and it definitely isn't sane to keep funds "random somewhere").
34  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: September 04, 2014, 09:41:25 AM
One thing is pure trolling. Recognizing reality is something completely different.

I am amazed by the fact that there are always some shareholders who are openly hostile to the second group and are bashing every one trying to discuss problems/week aspects by accusing them for all evil intentions like 'talking down' shares. Such approach limits useability of this forum.

However, I admit that in current 'machiavellic' reality that surrounds most of us it's quite difficult to keep objectivity. Good luck guys.

+1

I'm one small step from just insta-putting into ignore anyone claiming that another user's post is just made in the hope of altering the price.

36  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: i want to give 100 BTC to one user on bitcointalk. tell me why it is U. on: August 31, 2014, 01:54:07 PM
Is this over? Was anybody paid, I would have been happy to have received just 1 btc  Huh
Could you bother to fucking read any post before writing such nonsense?
37  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: i want to give 100 BTC to one user on bitcointalk. tell me why it is U. on: August 30, 2014, 07:21:06 PM
I'm nearly 100% sure this guy is a high roller holding a lot more than 100 BTC

Why would you think that?  He's failed to prove he owns anything.

I don't have to prove anything.  I'M not gonna sign anything just because Tomatocage wants me to- i'm not his little slave.

BTW u are disqualified.

~CfA~
OMG he's "disqualified", I bet he'll cry all day now!
38  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: August 30, 2014, 07:12:46 PM
Does he really have any shares (still)Huh The way he talks makes me think he already got out of the game or, at best, still owns a couple of very old shares "just to be safe" and really doesn't care anymore  Grin
Precisely, very good catch! : )

Except the "doesn't care": I care enough to come here and discuss, and I hate to see people lose money, so I give warnings here and there.

Denying the AM is high-risk due to its Bitcoin+unregulated+China nature is bad.
Accepting that and investing anyway is good as long as you understand what you are doing and which are the risks.
39  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust is BAD. Very bad. on: August 30, 2014, 07:10:43 PM
beastlymac should be removed from d. tree and banned for such behaviour, dont you think ?
No, I think there just shouldn't be any default trust, so this wouldn't be an issue anymore.

I agree though, I guess there does need to be a way to see your "default" profile.  Though my first choice would be no default trust at all.  Users should not join the forums and jump into trading.  People can find out who the mods are and decide for themselves if someone, say, Vod is a champion of the people and bane of scammers or a boob licking troll.  Personally, I think the former, but I'm still not sure I'd send first to him.  (No offense Vod.)
Much true.

I sometimes think default trust was just designed to get the mods out of the having to determine if they needed to apply the "scammer" tag or not.
I guess I can understand that.
Not exact.

The trust system has been designed with that goal in mind, and it would work... but it has been destroyed by this stupid DefaultTrust, and has (needlessly!!!) become something completely different, and deeply broken.
40  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust is BAD. Very bad. on: August 30, 2014, 09:19:28 AM
If I flip the finger to DefaultTrust and stop using it for x period of time, then during that x period of time if someone on DefaultTrust gives me a negative trusted feedback I have no way of seeing it, while the vast majority of the forum will see me with a nice little red tag under my name. Say what you like, but that affects any jobs I want to do, businesses I want to create, et cetera.
And that's why you should be requesting for this broken system to be taken down.
