Once If NEM gets onto Azure, adoption should proliferate exponentially as it will be one of the best platforms in Azure.

FTFY

Depends on if Azure knows about NEM and think it's a valuable addition and can do things other platforms can't. As far as I know there haven't been any indicitations of Azure adding NEM.

Yeah...see people don't actually know how azure and the listing on azure works. All these "partnerships" we've seen lately ? Not as big a deal as people think. But people tend to not do their homework around here so I guess I shouldn't be suprised it created so much buzz for those platforms.
Any blockchain solution - and I do mean any - can get listed on azure. It's merely a matter of setting it up correctly so that microsoft approves. I'd be quite suprised if they outright rejected NEM but we'll see.

How long has NEM been waiting for an answer?

Still setting things up. The process isn't that complicated but it's should be as seamless as possible so it'll take a bit longer i think. I have no idea how long it'll take once the pull request is made.

Not sure if it's a good idea. Have you seen this article http://bitcoinist.net/microsoft-bullies-open-source-is-the-blockchain-their-next-target/

interesting, so this might be a a buyout to centralize the blockchain

Is the mixing of coins in the wallet something that is a first for PoS coins? I've never heard of using the PoS mechanism to mix the coins until now, seems like a good idea and  convenient.
1065  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: (NXTTY) Nxttycoin on: March 12, 2016, 07:15:53 PM

Do you think a lower supply would be better?

Well depends on what the index ultimate goal is, personally I think it should be big enough so investors do not feel like most of the supply is in a few people's hands but still enough for the early adopters of nxtty to still have decision power.

Nxttycoin holders will have decision power with majority control of the new coin....the publishing division will offer more products not only NxttyACCI.

The initial product offering will be an Information dashboard which incorporates NxttyACCI as a major component.

At this moment can you publish how big the team is or are you planning on expanding it?

Like above sais, some updates would be nice.

NODE had some activity for some reason.

Running windows 8.1 and it keeps deleting the new wallet every time I try to run it.

It says I don't have the right permissions even thought I am the admin. Anybody know a fix for this?

edit: Nevermind, I had to delete the old blockchain and resync it again. Windows acts weird when that's not done.

Starting distribution again now is only waiting to open a shitstorm from others who missed the redemption deadlines, both from the NXT assets as well as before that. It would be very inwise in my opinion.
Wait- the devs left some investors behind twice? You mean there was an expropriation of claims to assets at the time of NEMstake issuance? Ho lee fuk.
I can hear the posts being deleted now.

The devs did not leave anyone. Some people however missed OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED DEADLINES, other people had some "technical" difficulties but DID NOT CARE ENOUGH to contact devs.
Don't you get it? This is the way the scam operates. The devs have setup 'OFFICIAL RULES' and 'DEADLINES' to justify stripping away people's investments. The whole NEMstake token was just a fleecing operation on both ends. What will be the next hoop the devs make you jump through to keep your asset? You may feel OK now that you have your XEM and your blockchain, but the pattern of behavior is set. Before you know it the devs will say, 'Oh your XEM is really on testnet. Sorry but you need to convert to the real NEM over here.' But it's ok to be unethical in cyberspace, right? It's just funny money anyway. If you treat it like funny money, it will be. In the real world, you'd be fined by the SEC and ordered to make investors whole.

If it's such a scam then what are you doing here? Just turn away and don't look back, after all it's just "funny money".

Your argument does not make logical sense, I and probably a few others were trying to make a case for you and others in your situation. Not anymore, NEM should continue business as usual.
Yep, the truth is coming out now. In the real world, your 'seed' and 'A round' investors provide the capital formation. They go in knowing they may get diluted down the road, but they invest with reasonable confidence that if they lose it all, it's because of a failure of execution from the people they hired. Here, the people you're hiring are prone to embezzling funds from the investors at opportune moments, because they are operating unchecked in cyber space. It's all 'funny money' because the equity that your A round investors bought, which should be treated with respect, has been expropriated and misappropriated at the whims of developers and even the community.

We all know what we got ourselves into when we invested in crypto currency, that's not a secret. Even many members of the crypto community warn about this.

Just stop, you know how risky these types of investments are. It's not pretty that's for sure.

How about a slogan like: "Escape the bank, be your own bank"

Seeing as Icelanders have it out for the bankers.

Seems like the majority doesn't want to make this very late redemption happen.

Attacking NEM as a scam will not help anyone convince the community to reopen the NEM asset redemption, if anything it hurts chances by insulting the community.

Even though last year was bad for alts, I still checked once a month to make sure I wasn't missing out on anything. In the back of my mind I still had a tiny bit of hope that alts would rise once again. Sure I cashed out before that, but I still kept a good amount of coins that I could afford to lose if it went down.

Some people completely turned their back and they are finding out this year that it was a mistake. A lot of them came back, a bit down but still willing to give it a second try and not blame anyone for their mistakes.

NEM community is leaning more towards not allowing this very late redemption, even though some of us might want to give one last chance if the majority decides not to do it then we must respect this decision.

1074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: March 09, 2016, 10:04:29 PM
This is my opinion:

Maybe this is a good time to test the voting power of the NEM community and make a decision as a collective to give these people who forgot their last chance.

The option would be for a percentage of their original stake (if the funds are available), the other percentage going back to the NEM fund as a penalty for not redeeming within the allotted time range.

Maybe something along the lines of 50% given of their original stake.

It's just an idea, the community needs to decide if they are willing to do it.
1075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: March 09, 2016, 08:30:21 PM
You can declare anything whatever you want, It'll still be your fault. Sorry.
patmast3r,
If it's my fault, why are you apologizing to me?
I'm going to give you an opportunity, in the public eye, to reverse this unethical policy of defrauding investors, and make this exchange of NEMstake for NEM. I will send my 3.5 NEMstake to whatever NXT address you specify to prove that I control them. In return, you will deposit approximately 7874999 XEM to the following address:
NAH5IVPG5BI253O3ZRJMSZXHBXUGHVENP7PATMFH

It will take me about 1/2 a day to access and move the NEMstake.
HinnomTX

Your status of Senior member says that you should have kept up at least once a month.

I had my issues with UtopianFuture at one point, but we came to an agreement.

They extended the deadline many times to make sure no one was left out. If you didn't keep up, then it's no one else's fault.

Maybe devs will reconsider but it would be unfair to everyone else that stayed up to date and this would open a whole new mess which NEM does not need right now.

Nxttycoin Board of Directors Vote - 5 is now live...please vote.

The vote is in regards to the upcoming blockchain publishing division ICO.

Voting is done inside the Nxt client.

This is interesting.

What should be considered before voting?

For this particular vote just chose the option which you think will be best for the coin.

Ok, I just mention it because consideration of the behavior of potential future investors and the supply available should be considered.

Just a thought.

If this does take off in Iceland, it'll just be another option for payment. Just like debit cards, money transfers, etc.

Don't count on it completely replacing a government issued currency, but it would be nice if Iceland's government recognizes it as an official alternative form of payment.

no mate. this coin is going to destroy the krona and Odin will rejoice in the bloody death of Icelandic paper.

We ride at dawn!

If someone would take over this, this coin would be a great for targeting Latin american countries which have been mostly neglected by the alt-crypto scene.
1080  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: AURORACOIN - Empowering Financial Freedom on: March 09, 2016, 06:05:06 PM
As long as it makes the price goes up who really cares if this coin never gets to the AUR population.

I DO.

ffs, don't you understand this experiment is to try to make it a local currency in Iceland ?!?

if you just hype it up and let it fall again, NOTHING is gained. No insight, no result.

It's a decentralized coin, who gives anyone the right to decide who the coin is intended for? adamastor is promoting it and making the best of the situation, what if this never works out in Iceland at least we can have African support.

One day iceland's auroracoin will need the international community, they just don't know it yet Smiley

They will need investors from the US , Europe and China to support them. We will keep the coins safe until they can buy from us at 100 times the price which is fair value.

15.33 billion USD ‎GDP in 2013, divide this by 10 million coins (future amount)  = $1500 per coin.
