Anyone care to explain what is going with steem coin?
Barely 30 pages and somehow the coin is 100+ million? Wtf? Seriously?

I bring it up because trolls come here and fud NEM for having a natural growth cycle, yet scams like steem (bloggin for mining wtf?) don't get called out.

I laugh how people thought NEM was a pump, this steem pump is nothing compared to that!
It has to crash surley, alot will be burned. Basically its hyped up because of their social network that pays posters in the currency every time someone likes their post! lol

Wait. wtf? Pays for likes? Seriously people are falling for this obvious scam? This is the type of thing I don't feel sorry when people lose money, they know it's a pump get greedy and lose.

Whatever it is. We need some good marketing tho. Still waiting for our mobile app. Devs can we get an update. Thanks for your hard work guys.

Personally I like what NEM has been doing, the marketing is by word of mouth most of the time. This word of mouth is more legitimate than all this fancy marketing schemes.
The word of someone who has experience a product is much more valuable to people than some fancy ads.
Steem is just a manipulation game and many are falling for it, it'll burn a lot of newcomers and those who already know well then they should know better.

Looks like a lot of people are going to be burned with this one.

Doubt this is legit, but let's watch  Cool

Let's be honest. Most of us in these forums are nerds. It shouldn't be a surprise that we get influenced by PC games

So with all the devs in this project, who would be the one person I could contact to ask a question about a specific project previously mentioned for NEM?

I tried slack, but there's a lot of members and I don't know who would be best to answer the question.

I think that BloodyRookie or Jabo38 should be able to point you in the right direction, you could even try messaging makoto, he has responded to me in the past. Smiley

thank you I will try them

I don't see the resemblance, if anything it looks more like an arrowhead:

Look into NEM, not trying to hype the project or anything.

It has a very steady valuation...

Lol wtf are you saying. It's up like 1000% versus BTC since early this year. Trying to get the next sucker to buy in at the top I guess...

Not at all, I could care less if he buys into it.

I am an initial investor, that I will not keep a secret.

Just suggesting some diversification options and if you have been around long enough you can see how steady NEM has been. Meaning if you invest now you most likely wont loose much if you decide to pull out. I also said "invest what you are willing to lose", he can invest $5 even 50 cents and it wont make a difference.

I can see a lot of people on BTC talk are salty because they ignored NEM for so long, it's ok. All had a chance when it was at 40 sats and still decided to ignore it.

Look into NEM, not trying to hype the project or anything.

It has a very steady valuation, the guy who started it disappeared and left it to other devs (meaning it has become decentralized).

But do some research and invest what you are willing to lose, nothing more. Do not panic and if you have faith in your investments, try to forget about them and check in once a month to see their status.

NEM holding steady and stable, make your conclusions from there  Cool

It's going to continue holding steady and stable?  Huh

Let's ask the magic eight ball:

Magic eight ball, will NEM continue to hold steady and stable?

I assume a lot of those here trying to say it's "no good" saw the first threads about NEM 2 years ago laughed and pushed it to the side.
They come back now spewing negativity because they can't believe what 2 years of constant developing can do to a coin like NEM. Same story all over btctalk, except NEM is walking the talking.

There is a lot of things going on behind the scenes with NEM, and there are big players in the financial world taking a good look at NEM. The rise in price was well deserved.

....
I guess that is his first big pump and a lot of thing will be release in future so I'm confident that we will see another!

I said my wife Smiley lets see next big pump in XEM in 2years.
One is sure many people have dropped thier bag yesterday.
My node have made 700xem per each Cheesy... so by my walletss went about 30m XEM there is  about 140 supernodes
so aprox 1 000 000 000 Cheesy was dumped on market sir. (2 100m xem for all i divide by 2 )
Many people have heavy bags at 1500-2500 sat.

I would divide by 2 once again ...
At least when looking only poloniex.
The day's volume was about 10 000 BTC and the middle price about 0.00002000 BTC/XEM.
count = volume / price = 500 M XEMs.

500 M XEM / 2.25 M XEM / stake   =  222 stakes ...

That is exactly the same as number of The Untouched  Smiley
http://blockexplore.in/static/data/stalelist.html

A lot of that untouched stakes are for friends, family, etc. of people who acted as brokers here.

Those people are your average users NEM is targetting, most likely they haven't even heard of bitcointalk.

Don't forget about them.

Landomata

If NEM decides to do an AE, would you consider waiting for it and instead distribute the ETH tokens that way?

Of course with  consulting investors first.

ETH just doesnt seem to be one for the long term. My opinion

FIMK also has an AE based on NXT AE, the dev has been working on that coin behind closed doors. Supposed to have an announcement  at the end of this month.
900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Nem growing so fast? on: June 29, 2016, 03:59:17 PM
Been with nem since the start and it has been really good to me!

Not planning on selling my stake yet, been patient for 2 years already, can wait a bit longer. Just wondering how high this can go.. Growth seems a bit too fast now imo.

On the other hand, it was probably severely undervalued compared to to other coins so it may just be correcting to where ot should be priced.

I tried to be like you, except I missed the email where they said that I can only claim my stake for another month or two... and now boom, nothing for me.

And I am not alone.

And to top it off, now they deleted all my posts on the forum, and blocked all my IPs, even blocked the whole domain to which my email address belongs.

That does not sound like a healthy community - who would rather censor, than discuss, and who would rather cut off, than work with.

They might have short term success, but in the long term someone who has more integrity will bypass them, unless they can still fix it and unless those who got stakes can work out a way to give back to the others who also invested but did not get stakes because of poor administration in administering the stakes.

You were probably flagged as a sockpuppet and rightly so.
