no offence but I should fully contradict you on that one ;-)
I will probably not be able to put some pictures here (I never understood the trick in Bitcoin talk to do it).
- I downloaded and unzipped the "NanoWallet-1.4.0-win64" zip file.
- I got a batch with 2 folders and a bunch of files:
ONE of those files is called nanowallet.exe, it is an executable file and has the beautiful logo of NEM coin visible.
When I click on this .exe file, it sends me right away on a new windows (HOME - nanowallet), on which we are able to sign up or login to our wallet....
So, YES there is an .exe file, and YES, this brings us to the accurate windows to create our nano wallet.
[If you have another way of communication, as skype, I could share with you the print screens of everything for you to see what it is currently that we are downloading from the site to get the nano wallet.
BTW, did not get any comment on the network fees are outrageously high and why this is so ;-)
You probably are not running a 64 bit system, the wallet you downloaded is for a 64-bit system. Instead go back to https://www.nem.io/install.html and download the "Universal Wallet" instead. That's the wallet you want, then just follow the instructions and open up start.html Here's the direct link: https://github.com/NemProject/NanoWallet/releases/download/1.4.0/NanoWallet-1.4.0.zip

I deleted what I installed with the NIS / NCC zip file.
Now, I wanted to install the nanowallet with the nanowallet zip file....
But now, the guide you shared with me does not match what I got after unzipping: "Download the NanoWallet from nem.io. Extract the zip file and double-click "start.html""
I don't see ANY "start.html".
But I see a nanowallet.exe, as with every other wallet that I installed on my computer. Cliking on it, send me to the windows I was searching for ever to be able to login / sign up.
You probably dowloaded something else, there is no NanoWallet.exe. The light wallet is coded in js (someone correct me if not), no .exe extensions anywhere. Run a scan with your malware remover/ antivirus, your computer might be compromised.

i'm reading on twitter that CANN may get approval news in two weeks by state of nevada
are the devs allowed to speak on this or is this public knowledge?
Approval for what? Nevada already legalized, last weekend. Look at the plethora of states that have passed legalization initiative already and then try and find where it correlates to CANN's historical price. FWIT, CANN is based out of AZ, who have time and time again voted against ballots initiatives to legalize. What happens in NV has absolute no impact on CANN. I've been on this train ride for years and have by rebuys set accordingly, still at least 50% over priced. (now closer to 75-80%) Bitcoin/cryptocurrency trading and transactions are tax free in Nevada, the next natural step is for dispensaries to use cryptocurrency alternatives since it is a cash only market right now.

Dev: Could you make the installer in RaiBlocks replace the old version when installing? It keeps installing new versions.
Also the current version is not working for me - "Error initializing node" on Windows 8.1
Strange thing happened, after several crashes and automatic restarts, 7.9 worked. After uninstalling 32bit version and installing 64bit version. It crashed and restarted a few times on its own and now it works. Strange.

Really not sure why you guys are so intent on doing a giveaway. Any valuable asset including is not simply giving away. You don't see Bitcoin or ethereum or gold bullion giveaways do you? No you see insane coin and espers giveaways AKA crap coins. I'm actually not sure why this needs to be done at all I mean it's not like the price is stagnating her going down we've been on an uptrend since it came out why would you give away something that is only going up in price? The incentive for new investors should simply be the fact that if they buy now it will be worth later Just my unpopular and sensible opinion. Giving away something for free just devalues it. Sometime yu have need to lose for win..i think also dev is too generous..but it's may be her nature..anyway everything that makes the buzz on MNE is good for the community..in more i think that the world of crypto begins to have an old image of cheapskate Dude, literally cant even understand you Also, for f**s sake. Know what I think when I see someone literally TRYING to give away a coin for free? I think that its sh*t. Stop doing this bozo. You mean the less than .05 minereum that is being given away per user. Give aways help coins, better distribution = more value in crypto world.
