So I sent BTC via Multibit HD, how will you know I sent it to you since for some reason this wallet does not show the address it is sent from.
Contact me through PM during the next days and we'll sort it out
Ok I will, thanks

843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: August 08, 2016, 05:16:21 PM
Instead you get a sarcastic response or none at all.

Devs expected some level of expertise from users. No offense, for the project it's better if users below that level sell their iotas and never come back. Iota is for machines.

ok

This is precisely why we took the approach of being anti-speculators, IOTA is for IoT, the only excuse not to be able to use IOTA at this stage is that you're an entrepreneur/activist on some IoT project, is that the case? If not, you should have listened to the infinite posts we made about how IOTA was never going to cater to speculators.

It's pretty amazing how one can do literally EVERYTHING right in terms of being blunt and upfront about everything from day 1, and still have to deal with criticism such as this.

Just GET INVOLVED and you will get all the help you need, but if your only intention is to make money of our hard work, do not complain - ever.

Then don't sell a token, market privately to companies and raise funds from private investors. Don't go and make this a public thing.

Obviously there's some contradictions in this coin , seen too many of these coins come and go.

You all say it's for machines? Then why sell a token to humans?

Come from beyond has himself been involved in many projects and never stuck to only one project, that raises suspicions.

Marketing skills is an essential part of any successful business, not just programming.

BTW, I wanted to be involved and maybe set up a private node for the tangle to work better. But not anymore.

Good luck  Smiley
844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: August 08, 2016, 02:58:24 PM
Please take note of the follwing threads in the NEM forum:

1) Realignment of funds discussion:
https://forum.nem.io/t/realignment-of-nem-funds-discussion/2685

2) Legal entity vote:
https://forum.nem.io/t/legal-entity-vote/2698

I suggest every Nem holder reads this. Vote deadline is August 14th and All community funds are being transferred to this legal entity. The legal entity will not only control the funds but actually own them to do as they wish.  Vote is also done by importance so those with most importance (NEM)(DEVS)win. No info on who who is involved in this Legal entity and If, how much they will be paid, expense accounts etc. Its supposed to be non-profit and that is the ideal but " but NEM shall also need to be sustainable in the long run. Hence, NEM shall be a hybrid model" . No idea what this means.

Interesting, so NEM is trying to centralize the funds? Devs should respond with more details on this matter.
845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: August 08, 2016, 02:53:01 PM
(really reassuring there  Roll Eyes ):
help from the community should be taken into consideration as well, and not simply ignored Roll Eyes
but, thanks for the antivirus solution... as I am not really a "windows person", that false positive possibility didn't come to my mind.

I actually did try that and even someone sent me a link to an independent download they did for me.

I appreciate the help, but it didn't do anything since the anti-virus was just deleting it anyways.

Devs should have stepped in and tried to offer a solution or anything showing that they are concerned with their users trying to use the product.

Instead you get a sarcastic response or none at all.

Social skills need to be developed in order to deal with other less advanced users, otherwise the product just stays stale and drives away potential customers.
I see this problem all too often in crypto scene, but oh well I'm used to it.

difference between directly sending to dev or using an exchange like ccex?
847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: August 08, 2016, 04:57:34 AM
I figured out why the download failed and installations fail with IOTA, since no devs came to help (really reassuring there  Roll Eyes ):

If you have an anti-virus like Avast, disable it temporarily before you download and when you install the wallet.

That fixed my issues, maybe it will help others.
848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: August 08, 2016, 12:12:07 AM
I agree it is simple. cannot run the browser and software together just freezes

It's java based, make sure you have a powerful enough machine.

Your posts suggests you are also trying to run miners at the same time, free up some resources. Java can use up a decent amount of resources.

If not, then use a different node to connect to instead of downloading the whole blockchain. Use settings option:

851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: August 07, 2016, 04:20:21 PM
can devs make a zip file of the latest wallet?

I tried everything and download still fails, I'm thinking because of the .exe extension and it's coming from github.

Classic one time p&d. Feel bad for the buyers who bought into this "this is Japanese adoption!!!" bullshit.

The price will keep declining till it hits the pre-pump levels of <100 sats. Bagholders who bought into the pump will join the ones who bought LTC at 30$+ and still waiting for the "saving pump".

you are an online gambler, oooook  Roll Eyes

patmast3r is that you Grin Grin Grin Grin

the reason that XEM is not at azure or i am wrong?HuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuh

It's a sign of how confident NEM developers are in their tech by not joining Azure and being another corporation's asset.

It speaks loud.

Everybody serious about NEM:

We have been through ups and downs with NEM, the devs have shown they are serious.

Let's ride along and not panic, don't get depressed.

This project seems like it'll be bigger than we expect. If all goes right.

Ride it and maybe in the future we can look back and laugh at these intense moments.
858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: August 03, 2016, 01:03:06 AM

You are right, we see this every summer. Should have caught it earlier  Roll Eyes

Check my posts at the time. Actually I'm sure you have better things to do with your life.

It felt like ETH/DAO people deciding to have some fun with something else. Even when it was going totally batty most people on here didn't have a clue what it was and there were hardly any threads on it. The threads that did emerge were mainly 'what is this XEM and why is it rising?'

Even if it was them mysterious people in the orient driving it, there should've been more knowledge in general about it on here. That screamed pump for pump's sake to me.

Anyway, it happened. And there'll be more of it some day.

I panicked today and lost some but gained some, still kept a lot of NEM.

Got my senses back, going for the ride now.
859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: August 02, 2016, 11:50:34 PM

The price and market cap suggests otherwise... I think we're officially in a free fall. No telling where the bottom is.
Now the million dollar question is, how many coins have seen a resurgent bounce after a tech announcement after the original sky high jump?

I can't think of any, bitcoin, litecoin, etc. they've all stayed the same.
My fear is that people won't care about new features, as they're on to other coins and have forgotten all about this one.. seen it happen many times.
I'm hoping it doesn't happen to us, but the history of other coins suggests that it is very likely that it will.

Anyone who didn't think this was a totally artificial pump needs pushing into a river, but one of NEM's most interesting aspects is its separateness from the rest of the crypto market. It's quite possible and likely that adoption will come from some very unfamiliar angles.

I agree.

Our target audience is rather different and there is so much in Japan that we dont even fully know what is happening.
I have full confidence with the team, and the partnerships formed with Dragonfly, tech bureau, mijin etc  Cheesy

Just look at the charts, hindsight is good right now.

Maybe itll be better in the future, for now not risking it.
